Nice airy and light place to have a drink but found the server to be most miserable. A cheery front facing server isn’t much to ask for, but this place is not alone in having unhappy staff who probably want to doing other things with their career.

The menu said Red Leicester cheese with salad. I asked for this and the girl, who appeared mute and expressionless as she just pointed to things, pointed to a roll in the cabinet which was not a salad and did not look fresh. I did not want a roll, I wanted salad which actually looked very fresh. I opted for a muffin instead and cup of tea for which I was charged £7.35. My friend asked for an egg and cress sandwich and the girl pointed to a pre packaged sandwich in a cabinet which was over £5 and as it was not freshly made she just opted for a cup of tea. It was odd being served by someone that didn’t speak, it felt rude and we would not go there again. However, the actual museum was excellent and we spent 3 or 4 hours going round looking at the exhibits so would definitely recommend that

The National Army Museum is often missed for the more popular 'sights'. It is a fascinating gem. The cafe is perfect for a spot of relaxation and contemplation of what surrounds it.

Petit self attenant au musée de l'armée, le choix est réduit mais permet de satisfaire une petite faim (sandwich), de manger chaud ou de se reposer, la salle est bien agencée et spacieuse. Soupe du jour proposée délicieuse.

Not inexpensive but lovely food and efficient and friendly service. Great cappucino too. Good atmosphere with excellent seating. Complements a great Museum well.

Decided to have lunch whilst we visited and the cafe was nice and airy. Seemed to be only 2 main full lunch choices and I chose the fish and chips (didn't want a burger). It was nice but at £13.50 a bit pricey, but maybe that's the London normal these days..

This cafe is spacious and visually attractive, but, based on a recent Saturday visit, it needs to do better. Staff are very impersonal. Dirty dishes were on a nearby table when we arrived. They were still there when we left, 30 mins later. The cakes table is unhygienic, positioned where children can (and did) poke the cakes/cough over the cakes/trail hair across the cakes. Could not in honesty recommend, even though it was tasty coffee.

Wonderful restaurant with a diverse menu. You are really spoilt for choice and I highly recommend this haunt The wine was good too and the servers friendly and professional. I will definitely return.

I went to Ukai & my drink was spiked this was a traumatic & triggering experience this review is really a last resort because on having reached out to Alex the manager relating to him how violated & anxious I felt. his reaction or lack there of really was quite shocking. A manager has a duty of care to existing & future clients safety...having felt paralyzed & frightened on the toilet floor I left without my keys/jacket managing to get a taxi. I'm not blaming the bar or manager however I believe as paying customers we all deserve to be acknowledged when in danger this could happen to anyone of us & if it does ,do not expect ANY support understanding or even a reply from UKAi's manager Alex. After four emails I have not been informed if my belongings have been found. At this point Alex you really are part of the problem. To everyone else please be careful & stay safe.

After hearing mixed reviews about this place i decided to try this afternoon tea. They have Halal and Gluten free options. Overall ambiance and decor of the place is nice and floral. Staff was attentive and kindly offered free a hot chocolate to the child. However it took then 35 mins to bring the food on the table despite the whole place being quite empty. We had one Gluten free and one regular afternoon tea. Afternoon tea itself was very presentable offering variety of teas and we tried three different teas, the nicest one was Masala Chai. Sandwiches were ok in taste albeit rather bland. Scones were fresh, tasty and light. Unfortunately the desserts were very average in taste and were very basic. They do not do refills which is unusual for an afternoon tea. There is definitively room for improvement.
