Napoli Ristorante in High Peak

This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were not disappointed. No surprise there are so many good reviews. Due to time restraints and commitments in the area we maybe didn't get the full experience however, what we did get was great food, very welcoming & helpful staff in a pleasant ambience. We will be back...

Lovely authentic Italian food , pasta was delicious best I have had. Garlic bread pizza was hand thrown and full of garlic . Staff were run ragged as it was so busy but they had the service running like clock work . Lovely open kitchen so you can see just how hard the chef works .

The service and food was impeccable! We loved the scallops starters and would highly recommend. Will be back again soon!

Had the Antipasto Misto to share and it was very nice and a good way to start the meal off with, light and a variety of things to try. I also tried the duck pate on crispy bread and it was really good also. For my main I had Lobster Ravioli and it was so creamy and tasty.

Family meal with grandchildren. Can concur with other positive reviews suffice to say food was outstanding especially the specials. Grandchildren were delighted at the chance to construct their own complimentary pizzas with all food and beverages reasonably priced. At 1830 on a Monday evening it was well attended so would advise to book in advance. Full marks for all staff and their interactions with grandchildren who had a blast. Three birthday parties tonight with all bells a whistles.

Been a few times before and never had a bad experience but this time it was. Not at its best garlic bread doughy needed to in the oven longer then the steak well I must be honest I did ask for it to be well done but it was cremated also the frys was very poor quality and the portion size shocking it looks like cutting corners to make more money the service was has expected quite good

Visited Napoli for a friends birthday in a party of 8 Service was great, quick and friendly Food was delicious and well presented Atmosphere was great, busy but not too loud Had to leave swiftly as the next booking arrived (wasn't aware it was 2 hour limit) but all in all had a lovely meal

The first year we have eaten out for Christmas dinner and we chose Napoli. People often rate it as the best Italian in Glossop and I’ve only eaten here once a couple of years ago, but it was very good then. Anyway, the Christmas dinner was amazing. It was such a lovely experience. The food was perfect and the staff were great. Will definitely be making an effort to dine here more often. Thank you for a special Christmas Day!

Been coming to Naopli in Glossop from over in Stalybridge for about 5 or 6 years now (minor intermission for covid lockdown aside). We first happened across the place when having spent a day at the coast, we didn't fancy cooking and my wife did a search on the Internet and booked us in here. We've probably eaten here 20 times over the last 5 or 6 years and always thoroughly enjoy it. Napoli is a little hidden away downstairs off Norfolk Sq. There is always a good atmosphere and we always leave happy (and full). Food is excellent, usually a couple of additional starter / main course choices on the specials board and an excellent range for carnivores, pescaterians and vegans alike. Most recent visit was for an Xmas eve meal with family, and as ever, the steak, lobster ravioli, chicken risotto were excellent as were the starters and desserts (the home made Tiramisu is a particular favourite) Good job we parked downhill from the restaurant as walking uphill could have been a struggle after everything we ate. Value is very good indeed given the excellent quality. The restaurant is fairly compact but comfortable nonetheless. The kitchen is an open kitchen and the work rate of the kitchen team (which often includes the owner) is unbelievable. Staff are always friendly, helpful and efficient. One of our firm favourites to which we will continue to return.

Really replaced atmosphere and fantastic, friendly service from start to finish. Lots of choice for me as a vegan, with a whole vegan menu. Lovely garlic bread and pasta with veg for me and linguine with fish for the other party. Will be back.

One of the best Italian meals we’ve ever had. Went for my wife’s birthday. The staff were so amazing and welcoming - some of the loveliest people I’ve met in a restaurant. Me and my partner decided to treat ourselves to a meal out last night. Napoli’s did not fail to delight. I have coeliac disease but had been told they did have a good gluten free menu here. They had a great range of gluten free options, very few options on the menu weren’t gluten free doable. I ordered Bruschetta Pomadoro and Linguine gamberonio. Both were lovely, I can’t complement the prawns in the Linguine enough, they were cooked to perfection. My partner had the chicken special I think it was Chicken al aglio and a meatball starter. He had high compliments for the food too. Lovely atmosphere, nice and clean and packed out which is no surprise. Thanks Napoli’s

The food was okay and staff were fine, you get what you pay for really, not awful but not excellent, staff also forgot to take our dessert order.

Me and my partner had returned from a busy day out with the family and decided last minute to get some good food, neither one of us had been before and we were absolutley stunned with the quality of the food and how reasonable the price was. Due to covid measure and the time we requested (last table of the evening) we had the restaurant to ourselves. Our server was really friendly and prompt and the food was exceptional. Italian being my favourite cuisine its the simple stuff done well. We were two walk ins on a Friday evening and although it was very busy they found us a table. They were very attentive and were quickly seen to. I highly recommend the calzone pizza, it was one of the best I've ever tried!!

This is a fantastic family run restaurant with superb food. The highlight of our visit was the 5 star service. The restaurant was very busy but the standard of service did not get affected. All the girls worked extremely hard and have enormous amounts of pride in providing customers the best possible service they can.

My daughter , two grandsons and I went last night , after a recommendation from my son . We were a group of 12 people celebrating a birthday. The service was very good, and the two young children were looked after very well. The starters were tasty and the main meals were excellent. We didn't have many deserts, as the main meals were so rich. The cost of the whole meal was very reasonable, and there was no rush for us to leave.

Thank you once again for a fabulous meal and evening out. The lamb rump was amazing and so was the fillet steak and duck cannelloni - we would recommend all 3 dishes. Our boys loved making their own pizzas and their fudge cake too. Mario and Maria are always so welcoming, and in fact, every staff member looks after you well. This is the best restaurant in Glossop by far. We can't wait to visit again!

Feel a bit harsh really as it was Christmas Eve and restaurant was very busy, service was very good and some of our food was also, unfortunately we found a couple of dishes not to our liking. I would give them another visit and maybe try different dishes next time.Great atmosphere and a enjoyable experience all in all

We eat at this restaurant quite regularly, the food, ingredients and service are always brilliant! It's a well managed family friendly restaurant with an extensive menu.

Moved to the area about 10 months ago and this is a gem of a place. Been lots of times and tried lots of things and all of it is delicious. Great friendly attentive staff and it's always packed so do book. Would definitely recommend the risotto pollo el zafferano, the calzone or pollo al Italiana. On top of that, they have a gimmick which lets kids make their own pizzas and they always hAve decent specials. If you live in the area or are visiting, I would implore you yo come here.

This was our first time visit to Napoli as we live in Liverpool and our friends live up this way .Food and service was excellent ,me and my wife has the lobster and crab ravioli which was lovely our friends had the seabass overall a lovely experience will definitely come back .

Family dinner as all in Glossop for weekend. Food was excellent as was the service, would definitely recommend and if back in the area would visit again.

Really enjoyed our Italian experience here. Have always been a fan of meatballs so had them for starters while the wife had sardines bruschetta, the meatballs were less tomatoey than other places but enjoyable while the sardine bruschetta was nice too. For mains we had seafood ravioli and tagliatelle blognese and again didn't disappoint. Was surprised the place wasn't packed for a Friday night and possibly lacked a bit of atmosphere, staff were great and would certainly go back.

Rang to book a table for 3, 15 minutes before the time we wanted the table, the Chap said we could have one in 45 minutes, as we had already left home & it would be too late and told me to hang on, after juggling a few bookings, managed to squeeze us in. New to Glossop so thought we would try this Italian. Well big mistake. Firstly we were greeted by the owner who wasn’t at all friendly, seated to our table in a dark Corner. Food looked nice but really tasteless. My daughter ordered a simple pasta dish which came looking like slop and cold. Told the staff who were not interested. Shall not return and will not recommend. Owner/manager not friendly at all.

We started coming here a few months ago and it’s now our Sunday dinner spot! The food here is fantastic but what sets it apart is the staff, they are all so knowledgeable and lovely people. The girls get to make their own pizza too which they love and keeps them distracted for a bit too :-)

Decided to try Napoli with my boyfriend on a whim and did not regret it! We had ribs to start and the trio of bruschetta. The meat was falling off the ribs into the loveliest bbq sauce and the bruschetta were faultless! I had the linguini gamberoni, it came topped with parsnip crisps and pea shoots (which really added something extra I would never had thought!), the biggest prawns I have ever seen and the most perfectly cooked pasta. My boyfriend had seafood linguini, The was A LOT of seafood. Cannot fault the food at all. The service was fabulous, everyone was so lovely and polite!! Will be returning for sure. Absolutely faultless

We are so lucky to have such a fabulous Italian restaurant in our small town. Friendly staff, great menu selection, delicious food at a fair price. Well worth a visit - just mind the stairs.

An unplanned diversion through Glossop left us needing to find somewhere to eat and, after a quick wander around the centre and a perusal of a few menus, we opted for the Napoli. On heading through the door from the square, we thought this might be a mistake, as all we could see was a staircase descending into a basement, but once we'd reached the room and sensed the welcoming atmosphere, we changed our minds.

Lovely inviting family restaurant. Had a beautiful meal in this cosy restaurant, and looked after by wonderful,friendly people. Food prepared to the highest standard. Can't wait for our next visit......soon I hope. Highly Recommend.

Lived in Glossop for over a year now and I honestly cannot believe I’ve waited this long to try out Napoli!

We have been a few times now and the staff are always lovely and welcoming and ever so helpful. I hate to say I haven't been very adventurous with the menu but that's because it's so hard to find a decent seafood pizza around, that I always have the pizza Napoli when I come in, which is every bit as tasty as I've remembered from the previous visit.

Not quite as outstanding as I had been lead to believe, but very pleasant. The food was good, prices good. I would go back.

Love this place. The staff are great and the food is exceptional. It's great for families young and old (the kids love making their own pizza - free with adult meal). It can be busy so remember to book.

Visited Napoli with a couple of our friends on Saturday having never been before, but it will definitely not be the last. Food was lovely, staff were very attentive and the ambience was very nice. My rib starter was really tasty and worth a return trip itself. I then followed it with a Penne Ariabata which had a great "after burn". Give this restaurant a try, you won't be disappointed.
