So good we ate here two nights in a row. Generous portions of perfectly cooked seafood. I particularly enjoyed the tender octopus tentacles with a side of garlic butter that came with grilled veggies and potatoes. With a nice glass of white wine available from the adjoining bar it made a wonderful meal. The sweet chili prawns were also wonderful.

If you like seafood then this is the place to go! Beautifully cooked food and very generous portions. Waiting staff polite and efficient. Very pleasant atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

7 Flower LaneI was just driving past Amesbury Chippy, minding my own business, when a woman flagged me down like I was in the middle of an emergency fish situation. “Trevor!” she shouted, waving a bag of fish and chips like a golden ticket to pure fried joy. Now, spoiler alert—I’m not Trevor. Never have been. But before I could say a word, she shoved the bag through my window and said, “Here you go, love!” What was I supposed to do? Argue? Correct her? Not a chance. I accepted my new identity, thanked her sincerely, and drove off into the sunset with the finest battered cod I've ever tasted. Moral of the story? Never question a free chippy. Just remember: sometimes you're not the person the fish was meant for—but you're the one who needed it most. Right plaice, right time. Thanks again 😁
