Nice food, different choices but to busy for me

Was very busy when I picked up my order, but I was still served in a timely fashion.

Food rating could be a bit higher if I was a fan of Nandos. 4 tops though. Nothing wrong with it, just not to my taste. I don't really understand why some people love it but each to their own. Service is ok but very basic (by design) as you would expect at this chain. The cutlery is often dirty which is a bit suspect. If they can't get the customer facing stuff clean...?

No coke, diet coke.. waited for ages for food.. oh and cutlery was filthy

This place is me and my sons second home if we are eating out its here never had bad food and always leave full xx

Used to be my go to for food loved the atmosphere and the staff were lovely. However, my last visit was appalling. Not sure what happened to the staff but it’s definatly not what it used to be - staff are rude and obnoxious, they don’t know how to deal with customer issues and treat children like scrum. New manager especially is a right piece of work.

Called in yesterday for a quick lunch. Really friendly staff and food was good.

No photos sorry But Widnes Nando’s is the best I’ve had they food is always piping hot and absolutely delicious chefs kiss. The atmosphere is amazing from the music to decor to even the temperature you know what I mean some places are sweating or freezing this is in between comfortable. And the staff are lovely very welcoming homie you can take my metal chicken poll whatever it is with pride. 10/10

Standard Nandos in many ways, but for casual dining, this is ideal. Restaurant was clean, food was spicy, the mac and cheese was delicious! We'll definitely be back as I prefer the table layout here to our local Nandos.

Was made to feel really welcome, even when we turned up half and hour before closing!! Weren’t made to feel rushed even though I’m pretty sure staff was itching to go home. Waiter Ben (billy) was really kind and made good conversation. Xx

If you like your Piri Piri chicken, this is the place to go. Can get really busy any day of the week, so it's worth booking a table in advance! Really quick service and staff all very friendly and helpful!

BEN HOLCROFT is an absolute asset to this team. I’ve never received 5* service quite like it. Ben Holcroft will be running this joint one day because he knows how to make any guest feel welcome and knows how to deliver a brilliant, friendly, and attentive service. The food is average… but I’ll be returning with the hope of meeting the fabulous Ben again!

The staff are exceptional. They are consistently friendly, you really can't fault them.

We don't go to nandos that often but we found the food really nice and the service was great literally about five to ten minutes after ordering our food was served. They also, sell wine we had the Rose which was really nice. We found the pricing on par with all other restaurants so pricing wasn't too bad.

Emily and the team were absolutely amazing. Best Nandos we've had ever, I think we were all in agreement! And we've all had a fair few between the three of us lol. Crispy chicken skin on the thighs, hot chips (as was all the food) and plenty of peri salt too. Emily, you and your team are a credit to yourselves on a busy, rainy Saturday!

Been here a few times and it’s always great, including the one time my partner left her phone in the restaurant and the staff looked after it until we realised. Condiments are always full, the place is clean, the staff are friendly. When eating here we forget we’re in Widnes because the atmosphere is like being abroad with the lovely trees around the building. Highly recommend

We do love Nando's, and even though they make mistakes they always put things right. However recently one or two things gone wrong and not really fixed at all...sorry maybe such high standards are difficult to maintain. Update This is our local Nando's. Much improved since I first posted that review. Change to 5 star

Accused of “robbery” and confronted by an aggressive manager and told my tables dishes would be taken away and we would be removed if we did not pay that instant for two soft drinks. This was after previously being served undercooked pink chicken, no cutlery, no napkins, a missing glass and a missing chocolate cake (served after we had asked). Thus this aggressive confrontation and poor service made the meal extremely unpleasant and we couldn’t wait to leave. Before leaving I had asked to speak to the manager to find he had fled the scene. Thus I spoke to another manager who did not agree with us but reluctantly agreed to have relay our feedback to the aforementioned aggressive manager.

Love it here! Staff are lovely and my chicken is always served succulent and very spicy! Just how I like it!

Staff were lovely, however when we ordered our food we were told that some items were unavailable. Proceeded to order 2 wraps, which we were not told did not come with any mayonnaise or chilli jam. The wraps came plain chicken and iceberg lettuce on a wrap. Over all very disappointing.

Went for tea tonight after going to the cinema. We ordered two sunset burgers and chips coleslaw and spicy rice.i was eating the burger and had to pull out a massive jet black hair from my mouth , as I'm a full blonde this wasn't mine .I did tell a member of staff who quickly got a young lady who refunded my meal and offered to make me another meal free .however I just asked for it to be boxed up because in all honesty I couldn't of eaten it as I felt so sick at that point. It really did ruin our night out ,which we don't get time to go out often.very disappointed with my experience.

Why was the chicken in the burger stone cold?? Staff day its OK to eat. Usually its put in the microwave! Will never eat there again!

My 5 year old and I have got food poisoning from our takeaway last night. I rang to let them know so they can check their chicken and their reply was awful. I had a lad on the phone who seemed so confused and was asking me to send pictures not sure of he wanted a picture of the chicken or the vomit or how he expected that after i said we eat it. Not even an apology on the phone call all he said was er ok i will go and check it. If you are ordering from here check your food before consuming

I always come here to work and to escape busy Mum life and have time to focus on my business ... I love it in here and always feel so comfortable, Charely always seems to wait on me and she is just lovely and so professional. I know I am in good hands with her. Thanks guys

Great food as always but had to go ask for our bottomless drink glass after sitting for 20 minutes and nobody brought it to us. Had a 45 minute wait for food, despite watching several tables that arrived later than us receive their glasses and food during that time.

Oh dear this wasn't great. A real shame as I've always loved Nando's in the past. Ordered butterfly chicken with two sides. The sides were great. The chicken or rather lack of chicken was a real disappointment. It was about half the size of the butterfly chicken I've had in the past. 2 stars because my wife and kids meals were good.

This place has gone down hill. Went last weekend told there's no salad thought OK ill do without went to order two adult 2 kids meals sorry we've got no buns for the kids chicken burger erm can you put it on an adults one no were not allowed. After the manager came they said put it on the adult buns. The food came out the buns were rock solid and the kids couldn't eat them. The fries portions are stingy bare in mind it's only potato all the other nandos give you a good portion of fries not to mention its not exactly cheap. For what you get innthe first place. Not to mention the seats are dirty and cleaning isn't the greatest standing on chips because they havnt cleaned up. Properly, genuinely disgusting for such big food brand. Note I didn't ask for a penny back but I did advise I would be leaving a bad review as its shocking.

I've eaten here a few times before LD. Food was good and lovely staff. Went to collect a food order, staff were quite curt, customer service has definitely declined. Had my order shoved in my face, literally. Wasn't just me either. Get to my car, food is stone cold, didn't touch the chicken as it was undercooked just by looking at it. Went back in to resolve and gave up after being ignored . So, I'll avoid the dump in future.

Not pretty enough for widnes nandos. Arrived and asked politely for a table for 2 and we were told it would be about 5 minutes. Not a bad waiting time. 4 barely dressed young ladies followed us in. The same server showed them to a table near us, instantly. Next time I'll wear a mini dress. And I'm a bloke

Always busy and always popular. Greeted by a friendly young lady at the door, and immediately shown to a table. Downloaded the app as requested and ordered drinks and food. A different girl brought us the drinks, and kinda run off before bringing glasses or ideally glasses with ice. When we caught someone’s attention, they brought us glasses, but still minus the ice! The food wasn’t too long a wait. My carnivorous friend wasn’t too impressed with their dish. I had the vegan wrap option. And I’m glad I ordered a couple of sides. I had ordered the spiced up chips, but just received normal ones. A side order of broccoli stems was like warm, not cooked and watery. Supposed to be garlic and lemon. There was a hint of lemon. My main was ok, but nothing special. Didn’t really taste of anything. The hot sauce wasn’t the hottest. But of course you have the option to add more of your own. I didn’t really think it a very generous portion for what it cost. Moderate service. Moderate food. Moderate mark.

5 takeaway orders in a row that have now been wrong with items missing from the order. I'm done with nandos! How hard is it to read from a screen and to put items into a bag. The worst of it is that this was the manager that brought me the food this time because they recognised me from kicking off last time when they forgot the garlic bread yet again. Tonight it's the garlic bread missing again and the time before that houmous.

there’s rats everywhere really would not reccomend coming to this one. As soon as I seen the rat running around the restaurant, I just picked up and left. Put me off even eating so thanks for robbing my money Nando’s 👍

Came here with my son and the staff were friendly and helpful and the customer service was good, we didn't have to wait long for our food either so bonus points on that, our waitress jess was very helpful so overall it was a good experice..keep it up

Staff are rude. No customer skills. Just throw your meals on the table . Not a good representation of the Nando’s firm .

To start the experience off we found ourselves queuing outside the door only to find out this queue was for takeout when we wanted to dine in... there needs to be something in places to differentiate between services. In addition, the food was good however it was hard to enjoy due to the dirty cutlery. We received two knives with food still in the grooves and when we received replacement knives one of them was just as dirty as the others! By this point we just decided to share a knife as we assumed most of the knives would have food on considering 3/4 we received had food on them.

Usually quality chicken you expect from Nandos, however I saw Paddy the Baddy in this one so it gets 5 stars for that alone.

Food was very nice, staff were friendly, wait time wasn't too bad, only reason lost 1 star is because of dirty glasses and cutlery, this really is one of my pet peaves and you managed to have both ends dirty so i didnt use any cutlery, i suggest using hot water and wiping with dry cloth after cleaning. Will increase hygeine

Went to Nando's Widnes this afternoon with my daughter and grandson. I'd like to say thanks to our waitress Lucy who did an excellent job of making our meal even more enjoyable than usual. What a lovely lady, we look forward to seeing you again next time .

Felt extremely secure due to current distancing restrictions. Nando’s have made it a very safe environment to eat in. For this reason I would highly recommend. I have dropped one star because I’m a vegetarian and apart from the Beanie wrap, couldn’t find anything else to constitute a main course. More vegetarian choices would make me visit more often.

Visited during the initial stages of reopening after lockdown. They handled the situation extremely well and made us feel very welcome and very safe. Great organisation and the food was cooked to perfection.

What's not to love about nandos!

Not enough staff on to take food to tables, staff standing around not paying attention to the hot plates, when the food is their. The manager for when we was their seam to she didn't care. She knew food was their. The staff who was cooking the food was struggling to put plates on the hot plate. When we finally got our food it was lukewarm. Will not be going again to the widnes one.

Ordered a meal for pick up, very fast service

I went for a pre cinema valentines meal with my partner and it's a clean and friendly environment, very helpful and polite staff. Even the food was served 5 minutes after ordering, well worth the money spent

Small portions - my food was described as '... it's Big!'; it really isn't. Toilets were not clean - clearly not monitored. Frozen yoghurt machine broke down & had to queue up (again) for a refund. Won't be returning.

Hey the food is excellent here, its Nandos!! When I first visited here there was a cracked window and inside looked a bit chaotic and disorganized i didnt have great expectations. But looks are very deceiving!! Me and the Partner always get seated without having to wait every time we visit here, the food is on par with any other Nandos and even though it looks chaotic everything works here, large queues at the till? Served within 5 minutes, restaurant full? food delivered 15 minutes from ordering, staff are busy but not rushing around either so there is a good balance!! Unlike Aldi Widnes where it looks like they have one 55 year old to do everything in the store including deliveries and filling the shelves, praise has to go to the manager or Patrao of this Nandos branch.

Excellent customer service is hard to come by these days and Nando's served it up. There was an issue with my meal, they apologised, re-made it and thrn offered complimentary sides to make up for it. Staff were fantastic and the manager should be proud of their team.

Friendly staffs, quick service and tasty food

It is Nando's, yummy food... The staff was so lovely, very friendly. I have nothing to complain about the restaurant, the staff, quality of food or waiting time. What I loved the most was the frozen yoghurt, vanilla flavor ... (the last time when I ate in London they had chocolate flavour, it was so bad I couldn't eat it).
