Nando's - Stroud Green in Haringey

We arrived at 5:30 on Saturday April 13 to a short wait. Within moments we were shown a place to sit and await our table. Quickly after many parties came in and the main host, a man in his 30s or 40s handled the hectic moments with such ease! He showed everyone so much respect and had everyone seated in a reasonable amount of time. While eating, this same host made time to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed. On the way out we’re also observed this host entertaining a few small children in the queue. Will absolutely be back, this Nando’s experience has been the best by far!

To anyone wanting to come here, do not. I was with a party with about 8 people(each paying for themselves) for iftar and I had the halloumi sticks which were cold and so did other members of my party which were also cold. I later order (all through the website) a quarter chicken which was dry and my garlic bread was burnt. Also forgot to mention another person with me got a bottomless drink and her cup was not brought out until she asked for one. And my last complaint is that on the app I order one cheesecake and a those chocolate cake cups things. When a regular chocolate cake came out and the chocolate pud came out I was confused as I was the only person who ordered dessert but it was my order. In the end I did not get my cheesecake. I have came here before and it was a lovely experience but after this I do not think I will.

Went for my grandson's 10th birthday. Staff were great. There were 12 of us and they moved tables for us so we could all sit together. Food was good and we all had a good time

I was not expecting the restaurant to be that full and busy but the staff were efficient enough to serve our food with a smile. We didn't wait too long to get our food, maybe like 30 minutes but it's understandably considering how very busy they are.

Food and staff is nice but this place gets packed. If your in a large group be prepared to wait for 30 min + if your going in the evening

Pros Good food and service. Cons Noisy bright harsh lighting. Terrible layout and poor organisation. Tables packed together. Wouldn't recommend this branch for a cosy relaxed dinner.

Ordered online but unfortunately had 5 items missing, called the restaurant to try resolve this and before I could even finish my sentence they blamed the Deliveroo driver for “eating it”. Internal investigation clearly wasn’t an option for the rude employee that answered the phone. The food could have accidentally been left on the side or placed with another order etc. but they instead just pointed fingers elsewhere. We will not be ordering from this branch again.

I like the atmosphere, but the food is very overpriced and not tasty. I wonder whether some of their food is just microwave meal or cooked by a microwave. not recommend.

Busy branch (so seating can be cramped) but staff are friendly and food is cooked well and fast. Free local on street parking after 6.30pm.

The halloumi and mushroom pitta is consistent and better than other Nando’s branches in my opinion

BRILLIANT PLACE TO DINE OUT. STAFF ARE TRUELY CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS. THE FOOD WAS GREAT, SPECIALLY THE PORTUGUESE LIVER ALTHOUGH THEY FORGOT TO HEAT THE BUN COMES WITH IT BUT THEY DID IT STRAIGHT AWAY ONCE ASKED. HIGHER RECOMMEND..

Sadly I didn't have a good experience today, I got my food and it was okay but my partners food didn't come to the table I went to ask where my partner's food was to be told it's been wiped off the system and I told them what she ordered... I also heard other tables complaining about the wait for food and stuff not turning up on time or not at all, sadly the experience was not greatt he staff didn't

Food is standard, dependable Nando’s but what separates this branch is the friendly, courteous and professional staff.

Everything was fresh service was 10/10. Idris made the experience 10x better thank you.

Had to send back corn on cob as was very tired looking and sent back one chicken breast because it was dry staff were very pleasant and brought fresh corn and a fresh chicken breast

To all the other staff I truly apologise. Clearly a lack of leadership here on the part of the manager on duty. Using the guise of a staff shortage to explain why he wanted to close the store 30 minutes early was not very compelling. I attempted to order chicken wings and was informed this was not available, "we have a very limited menu" one would have anticipated at least being offered an alternative, but there was no communication so i left hungry and went across the street. Frankly, the guy either needs to be trained or he needs to be fired. The reason you have a staff shortage is because you have management that is uninspiring. Thanks so much, please improve, this is not the nandos standard in my previous experiences.

It was the hottest day of the year and thank god they had Aircon. A busy restaurant and the food was of good quality. The middle of the road service mark was due to the staff forgetting my daughters meal which followed 10 mins after our meal.

Slow service, waited 45 minutes for food from ordering and then forgot to bring our drinks and had to ask several times.

Falgo was amazing his has great customer service skills and makes you feel so welcome. Great with my little one also . Came with my mum, little one and my sister. Not as great as the original South African Nando’s casas. The chicken was not as saucy and the pita was average, but it was still a good meal and would recommend. There were some trainee staff so it was a bit slow but not terrible.

Not even worth one star,we were waiting to be seated and it seems as though the staff were not ‘in the mood’ to do their job. We were then asked to move to a smaller table due others arriving that wanted a bigger table. We were obviously not very happy about this as we had everything set on the table. The lady then proceeded to start on my husband for no apparent reason and then kissed her teeth at us at the table. I do not find her customer service as what it should be working in an environment such as this.

Terrible customer service! We was waiting for so long to be seated when we arrived we ended up seating ourselves, and getting our own menu’s which isn’t the first time this happened, Terrible burnt chicken! Staff standing around chatting amongst themselves! Nando’s has really gone downhill… won’t be returning, which is a shame as I used to love this place. Nando’s you need to do better.

Chicken is always juicy, however the takeaway portions seem to be rationed. This place no longer offers the emergency services uniform discount only blue light card.

I absolutely loved the outstanding service from Suzie today. I visit your other branches frequently but this visit was special because of the warm greeting and patience that we got. I will now make an effort to visit this branch because I had a great experience.

Had my son's birthday meal here Saturday 10th. We had a party of roughly 18 people. The lady that sat us down was friendly however when it came to ordering, the lady serving us didn't smile and had a very miserable face. After we are, we let the young man know that we would be cutting our cake, thinking he would or someone will clear our tables. No one came after a few minutes. We then had to interrupt him and a couple other girls from their conversation. A young lady came over to clear it and she didn't look happy. Overall I wont go back to this Nandos as the customer service was really off putting and they all looked really miserable.

I have been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years. They have maintained good standards while serving great food at a reasonable price.

Always had a very good experience, specially barbara who is the manager always helpfull and friendly.

I was horrified at the absolutely abysmal service . The server was abhorrently rude. I was told almost 45 minutes after i had placed my order, by which point the rest of my party had already received their food. They then had the audacity to tell me that they hadn’t received my order and I would be forced to wait over an hour as a paying customer. The service staff were not at all helpful and were extremely disrespectful and refused to give me my money back. I will never , ever be back here and I would not recommend that you set foot any Nando’s establishment either.

I come to this Nandos often because it’s my local, it’s usually of high standards. But the last two occasions have been disappointing. One while I was out with my family, multiple orders were placed to the table by different accounts, one item didn’t arrive till the very end of our session, but it was still decent. And today which was unacceptable. We was in a party of 4 (baby included) two separate accounts made orders. One arrived straight away and a side arrived for the other, but the mains never showed up. After 40ish minutes we had to complain, then staff informed us one of the item wasn’t available and offered a replacement; by now my child was getting restless and my hunger was depleting, so I just accepted a refund. My partners meal then arrived stone cold… so that had to be refunded also. I then i asked for a refund on my main that still hadn’t arrived, but the staff didn’t understand (by this time we were packed and ready to leave). I don’t know if poor management is too blame or inexperienced staff but 2/3 of the party left hungry. Lucky we got the refund and I have had good meals in this branch before. Sadly it will be a while before we return back.

The butterfly chicken was so dry, had to throw half of it away.

After shopping my family and I was hungry so we went to Nando's and order at the same time but my family order was arrived first and they didn't remember my own until I complained after an hour. Very bad service

Excellent good service in 2023 my first visit to eat there since 2012-2014

20 mins to close Dan allowed us to sit down and eat and relax knowing they finish and close soon he gave us such a wonderful and reassurance welcome. What a legend never have I got top class service from anybody in nandos then Dan.

Easily the worst nandos ive experienced in my life they took over 45 minute to bring food to the table for a family order and most of the chicken was uncooked highly advise not to visit to save your money and save your stomach terrible management and service

We ordered food from Nando’s for collection and received wonderful service from Layla, she was very helpful and friendly while bringing our order and provide a lovely experience. Would definitely recommend going to this Nando’s!
