Visitamos Alamut en noviembre. Había 10 de nosotros y nos lo pasamos genial. El restaurante era muy agradable, acogedor, bien decorado y limpio. La señora que cuidó de nosotros fue muy agradable y amable. La comida era deliciosa, todo el mundo disfrutó de su comida. Estábamos visitando Londres pero si estamos allí otra vez sin duda volveremos a disfrutar de otra comida aquí en alamut.

This local Mediterranean restaurant offers a tranquil space to work over a coffee and delicious food from lunch to dinner! The meat is succulent, salads well seasoned, and, borek that takes you back to Anatolia. I highly recommend Alamut!

Our experience here was a touch mixed. The food was fantastic, but the service not so much. We ordered a traditional Turkish pastry/bread stuffed with spinach, that a woman was rolling and cooking in the restaurant window, and two lamb shish kebabs. It was all incredibly tasty and well presented.

We had to wait like 1h for the food to be ready besides the restaurant was empty...the pizza was horrible we couldn't eat it..we were expecting to have a nice dinner because we knew this place before.after all this i received a free coffee...avoid this place

Utilizamos para venir aquí mucho y la comida era deliciosa y a un precio muy razonable. Fuimos anoche por primera vez soy un rato, y es que creo que los nuevos propietarios? De cualquier manera la comida no era muy buena, y el mal servicio. Además, los precios han aumentado. En general, el ambiente allí era bastante desagradable. Es una pena, ya que usamos a encantar!

This place is quite nice, it needs more advertising, the food is good and staff is helpful. Looks really clean and with traditional Turkish decor, quite spacious too.

No sólo eran miembros del personal grosero sobre nosotros pidiendo un reembolso donde incluso ofrecieron debido que vengan a comer ellos mismos si pensaban que era comestible nos llevó 1 hora y 48 minutos para entregar. Una hora después de nuestra orden fue colocado recibimos una llamada diciendo que no hay besugo sólo tienen lubina.. por qué te sólo me llamaban para decirme esto? ¿Por qué no está mi comida incluso preparado todavía. Ustedes son una broma y necesitan ayuda para mejorar sus servicios conozco gente que puede ayudar, así que si en realidad llamada como usted dijo que luego me puede ayudar. Como un nuevo residente de tottenham, estaba contento de ver la apertura de un nuevo restaurante en la zona, y mi primera varias visitas eran buenas. Solía gusta especialmente que si pedimos un valor es mejor que estar en la derecha (sentido?). En una reciente visita en marzo 2016, me di cuenta de que el menú ha cambiado y me dijeron que era el precio completo si te sentabas en o llevar... poco decepcionante.

Esta fue mi quinta visita a Alamut y tiene absolutamente la comida genial, el servicio rápido y muy buena relación calidad-precio. Probablemente la mejor comida Persa en la zona. Hellim en particular era mejor que la de cualquier otro lugar de los que he probado antes. Sin duda volveremos a este restaurante cuando alrededor de la zona.

It's not the best food I ever had but sometimes when in need of a quick bite it just does the trick. Service is riendly but you have to chase them sometimes, even if the place is empty.

I've been to this restaurant 3 times now and the food is great, with a good choice of meat and vegetarian dishes. My main gripe is that every time I have been items have been added to the bill, or starter dishes 'on the house' are charged for when the bills arrives (£27 on hummus for 6 people when there were only 5 people dining was a highlight for 2 plates of hummus). Another trick is providing the full £10+ meal with rice and salad after simply ordering a wrap...(twice this has happened).As above, great food, but check your bill for hidden extras. This is not the way to build loyal custom in an area deprived of comparable eateries.

I just went today for lunch to try this new restaurant. It's very easy to reach.During the lunch time the place is quiet, but my friends told me to go again for dinner when the place is buzzing with music, laughter and chatting. The menu is very diverse ! I was very pleased to have so many choices from the vegetarian menu. The Mossaka is huge and freshly made. I recommend the backlava, which is authentic dessert ... word of warning, it's extremely sweet. The space is very intimate, with comfortable chairs and sofas. the Music is diverse from jazz to Sia and Sam Smith. It's great for dates or for a small friendly gathering

This was an absolutely terrible restaurant.Two friends and I went here for a quick dinner one evening. I ordered a prosciutto and funghi pizza, and another friend a sausage and pepperoni pizza. When the food came out, my pizza was just mushrooms and my friend's pizza had no sausage on it.When I asked the waitress where the prosciutto was, she went into the kitchen and came back to tell me that prosciutto was a herb and was mixed in on the pizza. After a long argument and explanation to her that I was missing the ham from the ham pizza and also having to show her a google image of a prosciutto pizza to show her that it was not a herb, she exclaims 'well it isn't my fault! The chef doesn't have any left!' I pointed out that it was also not my fault, and she offered a £2.00 discount-GENEROUS! I asked to see the manager and she told me that he was not in that night, despite him being sat on a table at the entrance of the restaurant.We then sat there for a good 20 minutes after finishing our food, despite there being NOT ONE OTHER GUEST in the whole restaurant at this time.When it came to paying the bill, the waitress attempted to use the card machine, which after a few attempts she told us was not working, and without so much as a sorry, she said we must go and get cash out from the machine and return to pay by cash.When leaving the restaurant, we were given horrendously dirty looks by the rest of the members of staff, who were also loudly speaking about us in another language.OVERALL, AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS, IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL IN EVERY WAY!

Went there - waitress could not be bothered to come to our table. There were three of us - four starters, two main courses and a few soft drinks. Food was old and and totally tasteless. Children's portions, too. £62!!! It looked the part when it opened. Now it looks shabby - with expensive, cold tasteless food and extremely poor service. Don't say this lightly: avoid at all costs. SIMPLY DREADFUL.

Highly recommended as a relaxed place to have dinner. Varied menu. Wish crossing the road was a bit easier, but don't let that put you off!

Great service, ok, maybe slightly slower than you might expect but it's a (fairly) relaxed place, I mean, when me and a friend went they were putting on Enrique Iglesias and Rihanna on the stereo in the background :) The atmosphere is friendly, and there is a nice plasma screen showing atmospheric views to keep you occupied if you're not otherwise. Now on to the food. You get your money's worth and more! I would recommend sharing platters as they're the most econmical, but regardless, you can't really go wrong eating here.

In short: the most awful restaurant experience I have ever had. Do not go there. We went for a meal with friends last weekend and will certainly never go again.1. No heating.15C inside. We sat with our coats on shivering. No wonder the place was absolutely empty, we were the only table.2. No English.When I asked the waitress (Middle Eastern) about the heating, she did not understand what the word "heater" or "radiator" meant and offered me a pizza. Embarrassed she said "one second" and left without taking our order.3. No menu knowledge.The second waitress (Eastern European) who served us did not know which meals included gluten and asked us whether my celiac friend can have butter (assuming she thought butter has gluten).4. No bread.One of the meals had a choice between rice and bread. When asked about what kind of bread it is, the waitress said they do not actually serve bread, but they do serve chips instead. How very Persian.5. No variety.The menu seemed long with many selections available. However, when our meals came, they all looked pretty much the same, containing chips, tomatoes, cucumber and salad (different meats).6. No rice.My meal was supposed to be served with rice, but it came with chips. When I pointed it out to the waitress, she claimed "no, it does not". I did not have the energy to fight with her over what's written black and white on the menu.7. No manners.We had a few more complaints about the food, such as lamb being burned to coal, chips being cold, etc. The waitress got very stress and was rude to us arguing that "no, it just looks black because it's grilled" and rolling her eyes at our comments.Obviously, it was not the waitress' fault, that she had not been trained how to deal with complaints or her own emotions. She also was not trained to ask the customer whether they like their meat well done (burned), medium rare, etc. Luckily, they agreed to exchange the burned meat.As the waitress was getting a scolding from her manager, we could hear the chef suggesting "you should have spat in his drink".9. No discount.When we asked for a discount for our awful experience, the waitress rolled her eyes again "You want a discount? Because you're not happy?"We were not charged the 12% service charge (essentially tips), but were not given a discount for the food.We were in such a bad mood that we did not want to argue, so we paid and went to a nearby McDonald's to warm up with a cup of tea.

Delicious and good variety of food. Service can be a bit slow at times but overall good. Take away boxes available if you can't finish your food.

I checked Alamuts mixed reviews and tried to give it a go.I should say I've experienced a fantastic food which I can say I never tasted in other turkish restaurants. Usually turkish restaurants have very oily foods but here it was different. My wife did try a persian food called ghorme sabzi which I did try to test that too and was a delicious new experience. I feel that I'll be a loyal fan of alumut and certainly recommend this restaurant to everone.

I've been recommended by my friends to have a dinner at this Turkish / Persian restaurant. Beside the great atmosphere and server they had, the food was one of the best foods I ever had in my life. The taste was so brilliant that forced me to come over here and place a 5 star review for them. Keep up the good work!

There was many reviews that are here to confuse to any one i decide to try for one time. they have best ever food and environment also. i highly recommend it

I was torn between the reviews, and decided to give them a try myself. In one word I enjoyed it. The environment is very welcoming, and the food is delicious (I tried the grill menu and the mezze), it was also reasonably priced. I'll happily visit them again.

At first, I wasn't impressed by the fact that the place was completely empty on a Sunday early evening. My wife had been wanting to eat at this place for a while as it seemed appealing from the outside and was really busy the few times that we drove past there.I was TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED AND HORRIFIED at the level of customer service and the food that we received. To put the whole experience into one sentence: 'WHAT DIDN'T GO WRONG????'- Firstly, when we were seated, were not given any complimentary sauces/bread/salad, as you would normally expect from a Turkish/Persian restaurant - I had asked the waitress THREE TIMES for some bread etc and after 10 mins of waiting, we finally got bread and some sauces (the salad didn't arrive at all)- We were not given any plates at all to begin with. Thrreafter, I asked the waitress again TWICE to take our order. Finally, after waiting for 10-15 mins, she came to take our order. - When she took our order, my wife had ordered a Turkish dish and I had ordered a Persian dish. Both were served with EITHER Lamb OR Chicken. She didn't even bother to ask me whether or not we wanted Chicken or Lamb! - After ordering the food, approximately 15 mins later, our drinks came. My wife had ordered a Sticky Toffee Frappe and I ordered a Vanilla Frappe. Mine was completely hot and looked/tasted more like a Latte! I told the waitress that this was NOT what I ordered. She then said that this was what her boss had made! I asked to speak with the boss. When he came, I said that I wanted a COLD Frappe, not a warm latte! He said there are two ways of making a Frappe, one is hot! I just laughed and asked him to change the Frappe. - Around 5-6 mins later, we received our mixed hot mezze starter platter, which had a fairly decent portion and looked/tasted nice. This was probably our highlight of the evening! Around 10-15 mins later, the waitress came (by the way, she was the only staff who had seemed to be working on the restaurant floor on the night) and she said this is your dish that you ordered. She showed me a receipt of our supposedly 'table order' which was the next tables and she started arguing with me that we had ordered the dish. I started laughing and said that this order is the next tables (as I had remembered what they ordered when they were placing their order) The waitress then had a 5-10 minute argument with the next table regarding this dish as it was completely wrong! - Honestly speaking, the waitress did NOT HAVE A CLUE AS TO WHAT WAS GOING ON! She seemed very stressed and didn't seem to have received any training whatsoever. She even asked one the customers on another table as to what a lahmacun looked like!!! - Finally, after 25 mins or so, we received our main dish. Mine was supposed to be a traditional Persian lamb rice dish with some parsley. Instead, I received a dollop of parsley with hardly ANY MEAT to be seen on the plate! Also, my plate contained chips. When I had asked where the rice was, the chef came and said they had ran out of rice! My wife's Turkish lamb dish also contained chips and we had both clearly stated to the waitress that we wanted rice when we ordered our food! - My wife and I just decided to not eat any more and we asked the waitress to cancel the main dishes as we were not happy at all! Plus the dishes were STONE COLD and did not look fresh or appealing to eat at all. - When we went to pay, we only paid for the starter mixed mezze platter. Overall, I was really disappointed by the whole experience as we had both been looking forward to eating there. Plus we are both big fans of Turkish food and have eaten at several authentic Turkish places before I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! TERRIBLE AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND QUALITY OF FOOD!

I was expecting nice things from this restaurant. The premises looked good and the menu seemed appetising. However:*We walked in on a lovely Sunday Afternoon and the place was completely empty which seemed strange. *Waitress didn't know anything about the menu and said she was new.*The dips were served on badly chipped bowls.* We ordered one starter and 4 main courses... 30mins later one of the main courses came and no signs of the starter.*My husband went to ask where the starter (special king prawns) was and he saw them open a tub and chuck the contents into a frying pan and heat it up. 5mins later, it was at our table. Tasted disgusting.*ONE HOUR LATER, despite us complaining many times about the wait, only 2 main courses had come to our table and the other 3 were still nowhere to be seen.*One of the meals, the lasagna was horrid. It was rock hard around the edges and in the middle it was tough and I had to cut through it with a knife and fork with force. I was starving so made an effort to eat it but was unable to finish it.*After one hour and 15mins of waiting for the other 3 main courses and my kids complaining of being hungry, we paid for what we had on our table and left. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. What a waste of 3 hours of my life.

Great service and a friendly comfortable environment to enjoy authentic turkish cuisine. I would defiantly recommend this restaurant. All the food is healthy and delicious and served with a smile.

It is very difficult to find a restaurant in this area, however we visited Alamut on a late Saturday afternoon. We found the menu to be quite extensive, the food very good and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We were allowed to take our own alcohol in (purchased in the grocery store across the road from the restaurant), which obviously kept the final bill down. The decor and the cleanliness of the restaurant were very pleasurable. Would certainly visit again.

I called and booked a table for 3 of us for a Monday evening for my birthday. When I got there was told that as I only had one Tastecard it could only be for 2 people. However, were able to order the Alamut Family Platter -a bonus and were made very welcome by the waitress and received Happy Birthday wishes.They do not as yet have a licence but you can bring your own ( think they charge a small corkage charge) but we had the Turkish Tea and soft drinks. Out waitress was helpful throughout and can only recommend her. First out was a large plate of assorted starters - Humus, cacik, babaganush, saksuka, kisir & bread which we all enjoyed. The Mixed grill consisted of Adana, chenjeh, tavuk sis, tavuk kanat, doner & four lamb ribs and when the platter came out we were shocked by the amount sitting on a bed of rice. All beautifully cooked and seasoned. Would recommend as there is an extensive menu which will have something for everyone and budgets. The restaurant was not busy as it was a Monday and it will take time to become established. A definite bargain with a Tastecard but even full price it is very reasonable. Will be returning. We enjoyed the music in the background and the place is spotless.

Tottenham has plenty of these types of restaurants, this was on par with a few of the good ones. Service was quick and friendly with plenty of choice on the menu.I had grilled haloumi followed by the small mixed grill - both had decent flavors and were decent in size - of course the bread bowl was provided.Well worth it.

Me and a friend visited the new Alamut turkish restaurant in tottenham a few days ago. First impression was there was no turkish ambience. The deco was plain and contemporary with nothing to tell us it was turkish. Upon arrival we were served 2 complimentary dips which comprised of a garlic sauce and chilli sauce both of which should have been served as sauces and not dips. The bread was excellent though and had a lovely just baked texture. We ordered lamb shish kebabs with rice. The meat was great but the salad, although fresh was not turkish style. Many turkish restaurants seem to think that English people don't prefer turkish music which is a shame because I love the culture and the music. But we suffered boring English music throughout our dining experience. I have eaten much better turkish food than this and that said it was distinctly average. Probably won't be returning.

Will never order again. Sat here for three hours, hungry only to log into email and see they cancelled the order. Why would you not call? Annoyed and hungry.

5 friends and I visited this restaurant last Friday. I was skeptical to eat there as the restaurant was empty.....I should have listened to my intuition and walked away! One of the yoghurt starters was off (which the waitress then exchanged for one from a different, presumably fresher batch!) and the chicken wings and rice were not cooked properly. We were obviously concerned especially as one of us is pregnant! The waitress said she would ask the chef to prepare alternatives for us but at this point we had no faith in what we were being served. The waitress was rude and said "you've complained about everything" when we explained why we wouldn't be paying the whole bill. This is a genuine review from an unhappy customer.....unlike some of the reviews for this restaurant which are uncannily similar!!

Generous portions and mouth watering lamb dishes! absolutely delicious! Also if you enjoy calm and friendly atmospheres this is the place to be.

Food was horrible !!!! Starter that we have ordered was off we have to send it back, when waitress brought a new one we were worried that it will be same but she told that it is from different batch. what????? Meat was undercook with blood and rice was so hard that we couldn't eat it. salad was very small and this suppose to be a family platter. we send food away, we have been ask by waitress if we want anything else but we were so put off that we just want to leave place. when she brought bill we decided that we gonna pay half for our mix platter meal so when we explain to her why we are not paying full amount she went mad. So don't waste u time and money in this place, go kervan best so far.

There's no middle ground between 'Average' or 'Very Good'. The take out we ordered was...good. The food was as expected, no better or worse than other similar restaurants.

As this is almost my local I felt I should pay it a visit. The premises took over from an old failing Pub which had been there forever.We were very pleased with the portion sizes, quality and even more so as they accepted Tastecard offering 50% discount on all food. We also got free starters of humus and flatbread. There was no alcohol but we know in future to bring our own.My one fault would be that the meat was ovetsalted. I find this a common problem in Turkish Restaurants. The meats are normally premarinated and salted but the chef always seem to add more salt unless you specifically tell them. The salad and rice was fresh and well presented.The bill was extremely low.

I have been coming here since it opened and the food was always superb and we really got to know the staff. Well a few weeks ago they changed the staff which included the chef and the food and service is not good. The food was salty and I had to send back. We always got bread before the meal we got none. Bring back the original staff!

Very generous portions and mouth watering lamb dishes! They have a very large menu including stone baked Pizza's which surprisingly is the best Pizza in Tottenham by far.

I love the fact that this is BYOB - especially with the very reasonable prices. It makes for a cheap night out that still feels a bit special. I have visited several times and normally have the cold or hot meze platter. The service is not great - it can take ages to place an order or get the bill. But the staff are always friendly and chatty.
