Not for lone diners apparently. All 4 tables around me were waited on wonderfully - they had check backs, they were offered sauces etc when their food was brought, asked if they wanted more drinks, plates cleared promptly etc. But as a lone diners, I got none of that. I got about three words when my food was brought, and the waiter was gone before i even had a chance to react to his appearance. No check back, no queries if I wanted to order another drink, plate sat there ages afterwards. Nandos food is always good, but apparently service is only for tables of two or more.

Garbage service, they tell you to do everything online by yourself and make you go thru a hassle to get points on your loyalty card, you are better off going to West Quey 2 Nandos where the service is amazing. Avoid this branch of Nandos.

Out of the 2 Nando’s in town, we always prefer to go to this one by miles! Staff customer service are impeccable comparing to their other branch down the road. Very attentive staff, clean environment, knowledgeable crew and the food usually it’s served in timely fashion. Seem very busy on deliveries albeit the systems in place doesn’t seem to affect much the speed of service on dining in. The downbeat id probably note would be their sandwiches the bread are notoriously easy to tell it’s frozen then grilled leaving that frozen bread after taste, also the chicken quality varies slightly as to who’s on the grill often. May I highlight a young male with round pierced hearings, neck tattoo, black jeans, wearing my glasses absolutely super star every time we go there we how dedicated he is with his customers / tables, if not in charge can someone promote this guy.

I really love dining here. The food and service were great and the staff really looked after us.

My last nandos in Southampton was WQ shopping centre and was awful... Dry warm chicken, cold chips and cold service however this was lovely, hot juicy chicken and hot fries plus great service

Jack was our server and he was absolutely wonderful and gave me and my friend great customer service honestly best employee 🫶🏼

The usual nandos chicken sandwich. But the chicken looked a bet too pink for me. I guess it’s the local supplies. Sauce is the same good flavor.

Management and staff go above and beyond. The only Nando's I go to in Southampton because of the great service and atmosphere.

Haven't been to Nandos for about 5 years, maybe more. Busy, but the food was fresh and hot.

Spent 8 quid on a chicken burger. Sauce is great but they served it cold. Chicken and buns were cold too.

Nondo’s Peri Peri Chicken is hands down the best I’ve had! The chicken is marinated to perfection, with the peri peri spices deeply infused in every bite. Whether you like it mild or extra hot, they have the perfect heat level for everyone. I also love how tender and moist the chicken is—it just falls off the bone. If you’re a fan of bold, flavorful food, Nondo’s is a must-try!

You can find here tasty options. But you need to get used to get napkins and silverware by yourself. They will bring meal without it.

Every time I come here the food takes ages. I ‘ve come at various times such as dinner rush, 4pm, lunch, and this time I decided to click and collect to avoid the wait just to find out the order had been lost and I had to wait anyway. Annoying…

Chicken here is fantastic!!! Great spice to it, and the halloumi sticks are a must order!

Food was fresh and very lovely Staff were nice, however it is always nicer when service is at table and not on an app. We weren't informed of this as we arrived

always come here with my boyfriend and it’s always such a lovely positive experience- best nandos we’ve been to. the food is always great and quick and the staff are so polite! especially a guy called Jack is so friendly every time we go and he asked my boyfriend his opinion on their new spicy rice bowl which was really lovely of him. the other staff (can’t remember all the names unfortunately) are also all really welcoming and make for a delightful dining experience.

What a shame! Since when did Nando's become worse than Wimpy? Over familiar staff, slow, lazy, tired building, dirty/messy. It's an experience worth avoiding.

I took my son here for his birthday yesterday and he had the best time . The staff are very helpful and polite. They made sure we got a table in spite of Take-That and Ollie Murs performing that day in the city . Food was really good . Thanks to everyone working that day .

Food was nice however my parter found a small, sharp piece of bone in his wrap. We complained and the staff handled it very professionally. They gave a refund on the meal and said they would train their chefs better. Would definitely still go back 😊

Not been to a Nando’s before. I was seen by a lovely young lady, sorry, but I can’t remember her name. She was so helpful to me, probably because I look like Santa. She explained how to order using the QR code. She brought me my glass and later my food. Made sure everything thing was alright, as did another young lady. I left quietly and she even popped out to wish me a safe journey and a good day. I’m well impressed with that level of customer service

Good for a quick tasty meal after the theatre. Sharing platter for 2 was very good.

How retro - it was like stepping back to the mid 80s - given the building was modern the interior was very dated. "Order on the app' our waitress said - well that would have been OK if you could get a signal - the chap behind the bar who took out order ' in the old fashioned way' said few people can get a signal due to the metal roof. Food was fine - service excellent - hopefully the store will get a re-fresh soon.

Came to eat with two vegetarians. Queued to order and was told the Immitator Wrap was unavailable (apparently ingredients would take too long to defrost) [side note this was also the only vegan main dish on offer] so lost place in queue to find out what they would like to replace it with. One chose the Beanie burger - all good. But the other person ordered the mushroom and halloumi pitta - we ordered and then waited 20 minutes for food before being told there are no mushrooms!! Add to this that the wine we wanted from the somewhat limited drinks menu was also unavailable leads me to write this review. Wait for food was also in excess of 30 minutes which is poor by Nando’s standards. Update: they refunded the cost of the no-mushroom and halloumi meal. The food was quite good when it finally came even if one person had to have mac ‘n’ cheese - they said it was tasty. Put simply: this is the worst Nando’s restaurant experience I have had but maybe we were just very unlucky.

Good food for a decent price what can I say. Medium seasoning is on point 👌 sad that people can walk in and out and steal delivery food (happened literally as we were coming out of the restaurant)

Omg! I've been looking for a good restaurant since ever. Nandos won my heart with that tasty, hot! Delicious chicken. The fries, hot sauce, literally everything, is so amazing 👏!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IF YOU WANT GOOD FOOD. Customer service at nandos guildhall above bar street, is exceptional 👌 so friendly staff and atmosphere.

I had a grilled chicken burger and it was one of the most horrible burgers I have ever eaten. The chicken was really hard and the bun was so sharp it cut my lips.

Dirty table for one, than sides were cold, and were supposed to be hot. Chicken breast cold inside, and they messed up the bill...

Pretty awful, there an hour before closing, "we're shut now" had to go to subway 😞 about as bad as it gets

I hate having to queue to order food, I'd pay more for waiter service

We had a lovely meal. When my son ordered the wrong sauce that ended up being too hot for him, without a question they changed his meal for a milder sauce at no added cost. Great customer service

Nice place to eat, especially with the booth style tables. Service was a bit slow considering the time of day (5pm, not busy). Food very tasty as you'd expect from this chain.

I'm so impressed with the food. The chicken is so tender and juicy. The flavor is so good. The spicy rice and Peri- salted chips are both so good. The Pastel de Nata has a unique flavor, very custardy I love it.

They are a chain. Their specialty is peri-peri. It's a moderate spicy sauce, mostly to be added to chicken. Flavorful. Worth a stop if you are in the area. Portion was large. We split one order.

It was very good but expensive!

I thought the first time I came here must have been a bad day for the kitchen as I waited 45 minutes. In the end I got a refund which then took a further 15 minutes. Today I waited 35 minutes before leaving again due no sign of the food arriving any time soon. Again, the refund took longer than it should. (Feels even longer when you are ready eat the whole restaurant) There are plenty of staff in there but they seem to more interested in servicing Deliveroo deliveries than the people waiting in their restaurant. Basic customer service to let customer know if you have long waits.

Waiting for your food for 40 minutes after ordering in a restaurant of any kind is very poor. More food is being serviced to the waiting delivery riders outside. This will be the last time we visit a Nando’s.

Food and service is fantastic. One of the best in UK. Highly recommended 👌.

Typical nandos but considering it wasn't busy and we ordered within minutes of eachother the other family we were with didnt get there food for 20 minutes after us

Worst Nandos I’ve been to in a long time, ordered 4 meals 2 of those being kids meals. I got 1/2 a chicken with peri peri chips and garlic bread, the garlic bread was defo reheated and old as i could barely bite into it and the peri peri chips looked like someone spilled the whole thing over the chips all i could taste was the peri peri salt. My two kids meals came with chicken breast which was cold and old corn on the cob which was hard and also re-heated. Out of the 4 meals one was ok, by far one of the worst Nando’s i have been to.

Me and my girlfriend went there for the first time on our one year anniversary and i have to say it was the correct choice. We were seated immediately and everyone was super friendly and constantly positive. The food (im assuming becausr of the quality) was fresh didnt seem frozen at all and was amazing, the boneless chicken thighs were incredibly juicy, the medium sauce on them was lovely and the flavour was absolutely delicious. I also ordered fully loaded chips without the spring onions and creamy dressing, thsy were amazing, the sauce there went amazing with the peri peri salt and cheese they were crispy but nice and fluffy on the inside and overall were amazing, one employee in particular we had a conversation with and she was incredibly friendly and congratulated us on our one year anniversary, she was so friendly and all of the employees in general there were, the atmosphere felt very comforting and homey and the staff made it feel like you were family, at the end we gave a tip and said our thanks multiple times to the staff. My only regret was not being able to give a larger tip, thank you for making our anniversary so great we're definitely coming again next year and throughout the year.

The staff are always really friendly in here, and the food is always brilliant. Facilities are clean. Would definitely recommend.

Took my friends cheeky nandos cherry! The old skool order. Halloumi fries starter - butterfly chicken medium peri peri fries peranaise and garlic bread side! For the price and portion you simply can't beat it in my eyes always good at Nandos no matter which city I go to!

Staff is rude. I tried to order some halloumi stick and as I don't eat any spicy food. I asked if they could offer this starter with another dip instead and they said "maybe this time, but not next time". Why do people think that everyone has to eat this spicy things? Another dip option should be available for customers such as garlic dip. I will never return here.

Delicious chicken. I am not a fan of chicken but these guys know how to make chicken juicy and delicious.

The prices went up and out favourite sharing platter was withdrawn. We still go there but not as often as we used to.

If I could rate the service higher - I would! We were blown away at this Nando's in Southampton. Coming from South Africa, walking into a Nando's is always a familiar and welcome experience. This was elevated by the warm welcome, and 'above and beyond service'. We will be regulars here, thank you!

Speedy service always has a decent price

Came here after the football, got a table for two in no time and then my friend needed a charger and man like Joe sorted him out. Great service would recommend.

Very good service, the restaurant was very busy yet they were still able to seat us within 5 minutes. Food was immaculate as always.

Awful again. Food missing like last time daughter had no dinner. They couldn't care less offered refund on missing food no apology at all. Worst Nando's by far.

This was my first time trying Nandos in the UK as I have tried the one in Saudi Arabia and didn’t like it much. I came in with very low expectations but I was up for a pleasant surprise! Now I understand what the hype is about. The peri peri chicken thighs are so juicy and succulent. The sides are so fun to share and a great edition. Would highly recommend !

Been a long time since I've been to a Nando's and was not disappointed. Bit of a wait to get seated, despite it being late afternoon Saturday. Gave me time though to download and register the app. Loved the app, makes ordering a breeze and no waiting at the end for the bill! Staff were very friendly, place (including toilets) was very clean, service was quick and food itself tasty and well presented. Only downside was the front door. Doesn't close by itself and so lots of icy wind blowing in when we were there.

First time in Nando's. I try to order online for a table service but no internet and order didnt go through, reorder again and staff forgot about my order. Ordered Fino pitta with Lemon & Herb sause was good but size like for kids

Too bad experience today, i always go to this restaurant to have dinner, but today was my first time to have dinner by myself. I ordered and a waitress told me back after 20 minutes and I did. And she asked me waited for a second, so I waited in waiting zone. And after another 20 minutes, I asked another waitress how long do I need to wait? And she used a really cold tone asked me whether order. I said yes and asked why I waited so long and there were empty seats. She said to me why? Because you were not at the booking time. I am not a native and not very good at English. So at that second, I was a little confused. And then she went away. I thought it was really rude! A so bad experience for me as an Asian woman.

Overall a good experience, food was good i found my mushroom and halloumi wrap didnt have enough sauce. Service was good and quick!

Great alternative to West Quay when that is packed out!!
