Great food and Quick delivery of food very nice space but very dark.

Came in with the family for a treat night. Unfortunately both the adults mains were sent back as stone cold, Cooked so not raw but just cold. Waited for nearly 40 mins as well! Obvious that they had been sat on the pass for at least 20 mins. Rice also cold and solid, broccoli was limp and you guessed it cold 🥶. Two other mains were fantastic and were gobbled down by the kids before we had ours bought back to the table. Finally hot but we're now dry with zero juicy chicken to be seen. Didn't expect the world but watching staff prioritize the Uber eats, deliveroo riders over customers sat in the restaurant wasn't fun. The staff seemed very friendly if a bit helpless. Hoping it's just a one off as always been great previously

I have been a fan favourite of Nandos for a long time, but unfortunately today we has to wait an excessive amount of time of lukewarm food. We queried where the last meal was of a group of 4, and found it sitting under the heat lamps for who knows how long. While we will most likely be back again, we really hope for a better experience.

Today I came in for a late lunch after a long day at work. And I have to mention a member of staff that went all and beyond in kindness Nicole. Thank you. You made my lunch so enjoyable and the food was perfect. And not to forget susana your service too.

Rice hard. Sides cold. Chips tasted reheated. Sauce bottles grubby. Staff bad attitude.

I recently visited Nanod’s with my baby in a stroller, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to the lack of fairness and professionalism in the service. When we arrived, we were waiting patiently in the queue. However, the staff member managing the queue allowed two individuals to enter ahead of us, even though we were there first. When we questioned this, she asked if we could let them go ahead. Not wanting to seem impolite, we reluctantly agreed. While we were waiting, another family with a stroller arrived. To our surprise, they were allowed to enter before us. I noticed that the manager, whose name I saw on his shirt as "Rocket," personally permitted this family to skip ahead of us. This inconsistent and unfair treatment left me feeling deeply disappointed. It felt discriminatory and unprofessional, and I am unsure how to interpret this behavior. I hope the restaurant takes these concerns seriously and works toward ensuring all customers are treated fairly and respectfully in the future.

Awful! I would really recommend driving the extra miles and go Wokingham one. The food took over 40 minutes and we had too ask someone too bring it over. The staff member said that it was under the heat lamp done but had too sort it, some time later are food arrives far from hot. I only ate half of it and left. Never again.

As always the food and service was spot on. It was very busy, and hence noisy but still one of my favourite go to places.

Always love visiting this Nando’s, food is immaculate and staff are on the whole friendly. Everything I’ve tried on the menu has been fantastic, only complaint is during busy times there often aren’t enough sauce bottles for everyone. I would avoid takeaway or delivery though, as portions are often smaller.

Had a very enjoyable meal here with my fam before going to the movies. Highly recommended, staff were all superb, helpful and friendly. Had 1/2chicken, it was as good as ever. Garlic peri-peri sauce is way nicer than the ones u can buy

Good place to go, if you like chicken

During our recent visit, we enjoyed exceptional food but encountered disappointing service. We initially requested two tables for four and were surprised to be told there were no available tables, even though three were visibly unoccupied. Opting to sit at one, we found it dirty with peri peri salt and leftover food. A waitress approached with cleaning supplies, then abandoned them without cleaning the table. After waiting 20 minutes, I asked for the table to be cleaned, only to be questioned, “why, what’s wrong with it?” Despite the obvious mess, her indifferent “okay” was void of action. The waitress continued to walk past our uncleaned table, ignoring its condition throughout our visit. This overshadowed the otherwise enjoyable dining experience crafted by the restaurant's excellent food.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice. The staff was attentive and friendly.

System failure meant they had to turn away their customers, but they’d failed to put a sign up or keep looking outside to save people queuing up when they were never going to get served.

Visited after many years and was so nice to go back. Thanks to the manager Ryan for the warm welcome!!

The food is overpriced for the quantity. They didn't care to give my child crayons and colouring paper. They didn't have straws. When we asked where the bathroom was, one of the workers said we didn't have a bathroom. Another employee said the place upstairs. The place is very dark and empty.

It's a chicken place! Weekends expect to wait 15 min for a table. Order and pay at the counter. Pick up your sauces and bottomless drinks if you paid for some. We had a whole chicken deal which came with 4 sides. Our group was 2x adults , 1 teen and 1 tween. Tbh our teenager looked worried at first as the whole chicken is not that big so I would not recommend this for a group like ours. Chicken was good as expected.

If you’re not sure what to eat, just choose Nando’s 🐔 it won’t disappoint.

Chicken store that runs out of Chicken so we had to change waited 43min for food to come out it was cold as was put on side under the heat lamp that was off had to wait another 10min for hot food and to add to this it was the manager that was dealing with it

Absolutely the WORST! Staff were practically non-existent. We had to order on the app, and then a surly teenager begrudgingly dumped our starters at the table. In a decent restaurant waiting staff would be around to clear after starters and bring the mains, but this is NOT a decent Nando's! After a 45-minute wait, our tepid main courses were dumped in front of us by surly teen 2, who then removed our starter plates as if it were a massive inconvenience to her TO DO HER JOB! No further evidence of staff was seen throughout the majority of our meal so we were unable to mention that the food was barely room temperature. Surly teen 2 then stomped over whilst 2 of us were still eating and tried to remove one empty plate and one that had not quite been finished with whilst a 3rd was still half-full because our son eats slowly. She was asked not to but proceeded to do so anyway. Once the final member of our group had finished, we left exceedingly glad service was not included in the pre-paid bill. Thanks to the poor quality of the tepid chicken, I got food poisoning...NOT that Nando's will accept responsibility despite that being the ONLY thing that could have caused it. I can see this place going the way of the terrible TGI's that used to be a few units along.

Horrendous. Found clingfilm/plastic wrapper and food label INSIDE the pita. What's worse is that the label was for an item not even in the meal and the date shows it should've been thrown out yesterday! Disgusting! The manager offered me cash as an apology but this is just disgraceful.

First time at Nando's and last. Surprised at how crap the food was, waited 30min for table to be cleared and desert served. We left before the desert arrived. Hate having to order through a qr code.

It's always a pleasure to visit my favorite spot, Nando's. The succulent chicken pieces are simply mouth-watering, packed with flavor and grilled to perfection. One of the perks that makes dining here even better is the 20% discount they offer to key workers, which is much appreciated. On this visit, we opted for the mains—half a chicken and a rice bowl with extras, including grilled chicken and avocado. The taste was as delightful as ever, but one noticeable change was the size of the chicken breast, which seemed smaller than before. Despite that, the food remains top-notch, and the vibrant, casual atmosphere of Nando's keeps us coming back.

Arrived at 8pm and saw a half empty restaurant with plenty of vacant tables, however the benches to the left and right of the door were overcrowded with people looking for some chicken and a decent meal who had been told to wait for a table. This was very confusing as the restaurant was only half full. It took five minutes for a team member to notice us in the queue of people waiting for a table. There was no smile or hello. The team member informed us that it would be a 20 minute wait for a table and when we asked as to why they said that all the other people sat on the benches were also waiting for a table which was confusing as there was so many on the empty restaurant floor. The customer service was not friendly, we were told to “ find a place to wait” I’m still unsure where we should have been standing. Names were noted on a clipboard which was surprising given the usual efficiency and professionalism found at Nando’s. Finally, after the long wait, we were called to our table At this point, only a few lucky people in the queue had been seated. Essentially, they did not want to fill the empty tables in the restaurant. The food was fine, although double the wait time we are used to on our regular Nando visits. The whole atmosphere lacked any form of energy and enthusiasm. They seemed quite upset to have new customers walk through the door. Another note is that in the alfresco space of the restaurant there was a table of inebriated people who were not in the queue for a table and had not ordered food. They were simply drinking alcohol not bought on site and harassing members of the public. This also put a dampener on the evening. Very disappointed with Nando’s Reading and will not be returning.

This restaurant makes no point of meeting the drivers, the people who work with food delivery. we stand behind the restaurant calling several times, touching the intercom, and no one answers us. we spend 15, 20, 30 or more minutes waiting. it's a huge lack of respect. for the glass we can see that the people inside see us but they pretend not to. treat us like clowns! I'm giving you 1 star because there's no zero option!

Don't know if they were having a bad day, but they were off their game yesterday. One till was working at the time and customers were waiting quite long for their food. The bathroom needs a bit of work also. However, as I said, I might have caught them on a bad day. The waiters, however, were on point .They tried their best to sort the customer out despite the chaos. Overall the food was quite nice and the atmosphere was great.

Mediocre at best! Great service but that’s the best part the food felt bland not like the Nando’s use to be… even with sauce. last time coming here from now on. Hardly any sauces out or salt either.

Nandos only received three stars thanks to Nicole who went out of her way to help me. The kitchen was slow and out of lettuce and mushrooms. Food sat on the pass far too long. There was at least a 30 min wait for food. My autistic daughter finds this impossible. Nicole (not the manager) went around and told customers. She realised my daughter was struggling and personally sorted our order quicker. If it wasn't for Nicole I would have got up and left demanding a full refund (thank you).

Good customer service from ansel, however the manager Lucas was disrespectful, and unwelcoming. Disrespecting staff in front of customers. Food was fresh and we would have visited again if it wasn’t for the rude attitude from the manager towards staff

The worst Nandos we've had. The food was completely cold. The chips were done too long before served. No one has come to the table to ask about the food. We had to go to the manager to complain just for him to ask which table and not even a " sorry " about it. Awful experience! Saturday 10th August 2024

Very tasty food and lovely staff. Great hospitality. Had a lovely time with friends at the restaurant. The lady named Sabina was especially wonderful.

I had a fantastic first time experience at Nandos. The food was great, and Liv, my server, made it even better with her friendly and fun personality. She helped with my order and suggested a perfect choice. Highly recommend for both the food and excellent service.

Nando's is Nando's, and rarely the food is not what you expect and this visit to the Reading branch was no different. The food was great but let down by slow service, mistakes with our orders and other little things that happened, it just seemed the staff was a bit overwhelmed or disorganised. With all that it didn't ruin our evening as the food was on point and delicious 😋

Really disappointed. Went in there for takeaway and they gave me the smallest portion of mac and cheese you have ever seen. Highlighted with the server who told me- that’s what you get

《A restaurant managed by a group of self-important individuals who clearly lack an understanding of customer care》 On Tuesday, our group of four visited the Nando's at Reading Oracle for lunch at around 12:15. At the time, the restaurant was only a quarter full. We attempted to order a family platter using the QR code menu, but the system indicated it was out of stock. We then tried to order two full platters, which were also out of stock. Assuming there was a system error—since it seemed improbable for a chicken-centric restaurant to be out of chicken—we went to the counter to place our order. A man in a shirt informed us that chicken would not be available for another 30 minutes and asked us to place and pay for our order at the counter before returning to our table to wait. We reviewed the menu again but couldn’t find anything we wanted out of the chicken platter. Additionally, since we needed to catch a flight after lunch, we decided not to risk waiting any longer, especially as we had neither eaten nor drunk anything. Therefore, we decided to leave. On our way out, we politely informed a man in a red T-shirt at the cashier that we were leaving because there was no chicken platter available. To our surprise, he angrily responded, "Didn't we tell you it's just a 30-minute wait? Just 30 minutes!" I explained that we needed to go to the airport and didn’t want to risk waiting. After that, I did not want to hear any more unreasonable responses, so we left the restaurant, which had no main dish available, lacked customer service, and was managed by arrogant staff. Despite the restaurant’s failure to provide its primary dish, the manager and staff showed no remorse. Instead, they blamed us for not waiting. If the manager and staff had been more courteous and reassuring, we might have chosen to stay. After all, there are plenty of restaurants in Oracle, and Nando's chicken is neither essential nor free. I fail to see why the manager and staff believe customers are obliged to wait.

My order was completely wrong, and when I contacted nandos they was very unprofessional and very unhelpful, I never got my order, absolutely terrible behaviour.

Couldn't order on my phone, order was taken incorrectly and food didn't come out particularly hot. Asked for a separate side of peri salted chips for my toddler and I saw them put it on my plate and then take it off. The chips weren't really salted well either. Love a Nandos just not this one sorry

Among the two nandos in reading, this is where I would recommend to spend ur money. This place is spacious, has definitely much better food quality and is much neater. Also had outside seating for spring and summer days. We love Nandos they are very prompt here. Very comfortable to eat here. Have been here a few times in the last two months and it was always good. However today the experience was a bit underwhelming. There was no attention once we entered and we were sitting for someone to turn up and look at us to acknowledge that we were there. And the food order once placed on the app was delayed. The beanie burger that we order for was quite sad. Didn't like it and the pita was breaking up and the patty was really dry. And as far as cleanliness is concerned, it wasn't upto the mark. It felt like it wasn't done at all. Table was sticky and there was food on the seats. Don't like it. Please get this sorted.

Raw chicken. Told the waitress and she just said the ovens are on for 42 minutes. Did nothing about it, literally zero. Sides were cold.

15 minutes wait a table for one tell me 5minutos and came 2 ladies one door and give a table in my front. I claim with manager and is tell me to leave that restaurant choose the client, only tell my money is same of every guy o girls in England.

The food is nice but maybe because I have been here so often it doesn’t feel like anything special.. a good place for kids, but there is no doubt it’s a chain restaurant, and most of the items here are probably frozen before. If you come in without booking a table you are most likely to wait up to 30 mins. Atmosphere is busy, the staff can be quite unfriendly and rushed

Liz gave excellent service and was constantly smiling lukasz came to do the check back and was a bundle of joy and very helpful with our questions

Lovely experience for dinner. Away with work so decided to skip the hotel offering and landed here. Really good service and a great venue on the riverside at the Oracle centre Reading.

The app allowed us to order to our table. The waitress informed us that the dish we chose wasn't on the menu and offered an alternative. When it arrived, there was hardly any chicken on the plate. They did offer a small extra piece of chicken, with a little bit of 'karen' persuasion! The dish was overpriced for what it was.

We went there some time ago, a person in the group had food poisoning, we complained through the website, not even a response, since then we never returned and don't intend to.

We love Nandos and it has always been family choice but this time we are not happy about kids burnt burger, broccoli and the peri peri chips looked and tasted nothing like Nando’s.

This is definitely one of the best places to eat in Reading. We are from the Caribbean so we like our food well done and seasoned and Nandos never disappoints. Their are dishes to cater to all budgets and the quantity of food for each selection is enough to satisfy all parties.

The food arrived quickly and was of good quality no complaints at all.

Dried chicken breasts, burnt corn on the cob, nice salads though.

The food is absolutely amazing as is at any Nando’s. The service is atrocious - service at the till appalling and staff attending us was extremely uncourteous - she kept yawning , making irritated faces when asked about a delayed order. Overall a bad experience so not going to go back to this branch of Nando’s

Exquisite quality of chicken(well that must be true for all Nando’s) and dip that in periperi sauce and sprinkle a bit of olive oil on top and the final product is golden.

One of the best NANDO'S that I have been too. The staff were ever so helpful, we were told that there would be a 20 minutes wait, but the manager said wait and within 10 minutes we were seated. The service was very quick, the meal was hot, my friend who does not like Nandos was impressed with the garlic bread as she could actual taste the garlic on the bread. My meal was a 1/4 chicken breast & chips & spicy rice, only NANDOS if you want to experience

We came here for an early dinner. It was our first experience of Nanbo's, and once we got the hang of the online ordering, we got two lovely meals, with chicken in pitta and some extras. The service was quick, we only waited about ten minutes before the food arrived. My only negative comment is the loud thumping music which made it difficult to have a quiet conversation. I found the prices quite reasonable, and we may well come back here.

Early lunch before moving on to the cinema. I'm almost a "Nañdos junkie." I mean, I don't over indulge perhaps once a quarter, but Nandos is good, NO, very good, almost, fast food. Others don't come close

This one star is all about the person that served us. Chesca was the least accomodating employee we have been served by for a very long time. We want a sunrise burger but instead of chicken we requested the chicken was swapped for haloumi. She refused on the basis that it effects their stock levels. Therefore we were made to purchase a separate portion of haloumi. She was happy for us to remove chicken pay full price for the burger and then add halloumi additionally for extra charges. All in pretty pathetic behaviour but at least Chesca drove the extra few £s. Definitely worth it on a £60 order.

The food was pretty good. I got the fake chicken wrap which was quite good but the last couple bites were literally just tortilla and lettuce and sauce the chicken had not been spread through the wrap very well.

Hit and miss at this Nandos, we've been and had a great time and we've been and had a poor time. Music was too loud food varied for consistency ie two people ordering the same food with sides and it coming out totally different amounts. Maybe not as clean as it could have been but it was busy and an early Saturday evening, so forgiven for that (I think).
