Nando's New Malden in Kingston upon Thames

Been here a few times and despite the increased prices, food quality is lower than before. Chicken is usually burnt and dry… why do they ask for what spice you want if the chicken will be served dry? Chips usually served lukewarm to cold and look recycled. Some of the staff members are nice (if you go on the right day) others not so welcoming.

I usually love the food at Nando’s but yesterday I order online multiple items and all items were burned completely , look like Nanos new Malden is not good option

I've been to this Nandos a few times now and the Manager Raleigh (I hope I spelt it correctly, if not I'm sorry) has always been kind, accommodating and friendly. I always leave the place with a smile on my face. The customer service is 10/10! I've had a really long day today and he helped to make it better. Thank you 😊

As you can see, I go there often enough to enjoy my grilled chicken.

We get takeaway from here. We always order the chicken, chips and the delicious chilli peas - very nice. Quick and friendly service.

Love it here. Great value for money. Staff are great. Food is even better. Don’t ever feel rushed which is nice. Free refills on soft drinks. Kid friendly although a very limited kids menu (could do with nuggets or something along those lines) reward system as well for regular visitors. No parking particularly close you would have to park further down the high street and walk.

£15 for a tiny dry piece of chicken breast and zero flavored “spicy” rice. Won’t be back to any Nando’s anytime soon.

I love this Nando's! I used to live in New Malden and come more often. Staff is very friendly and keep everything as tidy as possible, I love their pastel de nata, sweet potato wedges and halloumi wrap. Lovely uplifting background music. The managers are great and food is served fast. 🫶🏼

Awful service. After football every Friday, I have to take my son to nandos and this particular one has awful service compared to their kingston branch. I've actually never seen a manager on the floor. When I speak to the manager, she's being defensive instead of taking the feedback and apologising for such terrible service. Just 2 chips and a mac n cheese for kid took almost 30 minutes. Terrible service.

Great place! Food came super quickly, the restaurant was nice and amazing and our waiter George was immaculate . He was nice , kind and funny just like the other staff . Definitely would recommend

Make sure the chicken is fresh and also not grilled too much, as some people don't like that.

I had an amazing experience at Nando’s in New Malden, and it was all thanks to Jamie, who provided 10-star service from the moment we walked in. From checking on us regularly to bringing complementary condiments, Jamie went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. After a delicious meal, we packed up our leftovers but, in the bliss of being absolutely full, completely forgot to take them with us. Realizing this just as we were leaving, I rushed back in hopes that the food hadn’t been thrown away. Unfortunately, it had, but Jamie didn’t even hesitate. Without missing a beat, he stepped in and sorted out fresh, piping hot wings for us to take away—completely on the house! Jamie’s kindness and quick thinking turned what could have been a disappointing end to the evening into another reminder of the amazing service at this branch. It’s rare to see such genuine care and attentiveness, and I truly hope Jamie gets the recognition he deserves for his outstanding hospitality. If you’re visiting Nando’s New Malden, know that you’re in for great food and, with staff like Jamie, service that goes far beyond expectations! The service was great, we were given free soft drinks with our meals and the staff at the branch were great.

Staff friendly and helpful, food was lovely with good large portions, place clean and tidy.

The staff was unbelievably rude to me. I don't know her name, but I wish I did so I could inform the manager and help them understand their staff better. I ordered the fully loaded chips, which I always order, but this time, the portion was half the usual size. I was shocked. I spoke to the waitress and told her that this is not how it's supposed to be, even showing her pictures I took during my previous visits. She just looked at me and said there was nothing she could do, then left. So rude! I love Nando's, but this branch? A total waste of money and time.

Lovely host called Mo served me and was very helpful. Made sure I had everything I needed for my pick up order.

The food always good but it's always dirty (sticky floors, dirty food littered floor - no matter what time of day you visit!) The place needs a deep clean.

Many years ago, I experienced food poisoning. It wasn't pleasant... However, now that I returned, I noticed the menu has been improved, classic food choices and some new additions. My food was nicely prepared and cooked. I enjoyed it. It was a positive experience

Nando's is a consistently great and recognizable experience wherever you go. The grill at this particular place was a burnt offering. Otherwise, the experience of sharing a meal with my mum excused this minor anomaly . The music selection is proudly South African, and I found myself bobbing my head just to let my Brit hosts know this is home away from home

Went to try it and waited over 45 minutes just to get my food. It was not even a rush hour. When I received my burger the chicken was cold and my peri fries had little to none peri sauce

They don't send full orders. I paid extra for a Portuguese salad and they didn't send it. Utterly useless

My chicken wings was raw, it was the last one on my plate, I was telling the manager how i feel he wasn’t really taking it seriously and I asked for a refund and due the fact I ate most it he said we can only offer a partial refund as we ate most it. On top of that the table next to us also had a raw piece of chicken, which should really ring alarm bells. Never coming to this Nando’s again I go Nando’s all the time everywhere never had a problem.

Waited a while for food, then I got a leg piece when I asked for a breast.. was hardly no mean on the leg piece

Absolutely abysmal experience. After waiting 40 mins for a collection, not only did they forget my food was in fact ready within 20 mins but they didn’t even get the correct order. Now we’ve tried to call them to complain and ask for the missing food, we’ve since been waiting for half an hour and the food is cold. I would not recommend at all.

This is the best Nandos by far, but this visit there seemed to be a lack of attention from the staff. Had to go to the counter to ask for things as no one was around the tables? Maybe short staffed? However, food was as good as always, so happy customer.

Normally good but ordered period salted chips and arrives with sachets seems like a DIY place now might as well find me making it in the kitchen next 👍

Disappointed,we went there with a 3 year old kid and used kids chair but they said that we can not use it.your kid should not have sat there.customer service is poor,dishes were dirty .

Visited here pre-dinner rush. About 4pm. Staff seemed polite and kind. Explained the set up and the online ordering if we were comfortable to do that. Drinks glasses came out quickly, as did the starter. Mains came out quite promptly after that and were delicious, hot and as expected. Couple pointers though, despite being really quiet (4 tables taken) there were several tables with plates etc left out. I appreciate staff shortages and the time we visited probably didn’t help but not great to see. Some of the cutlery in the pots was still dirty. And apart from being told the setup, there was no further comms other than delivering food. Would be nice to have staff check our food order was correct and if everything was alright, especially considering it was a very quiet period. Nonetheless, would visit again to be fair.

Newmalden Nando's is a mess, management’s got issues. I’ve eaten at a bunch of Nando’s, but this one’s run so badly. Just look at all the customer complaints—says it all!

Went here yesterday and there was no spoons, cutlery wasn’t washed properly, however the food was hot when arrived minus the creamy mash which was cold. I asked a couple times for some colouring and pencils for my son but the staff forgot. I had to get up after 25 mins of waiting for a gelato for my son and ask if I could grab one from the fridge as I wasn’t expecting to wait so long for a child’s ice cream. I definitely think there needs to be more staff members recruited as the kitchen staff looked exhausted.

Disgusting costumer service. Zero hospitality. We went there a group of 12 and the denied to seat us, in an empty restaurant. The lady (probably the manager) refused to seat us because as she said they don’t have enough food to serve us. Never returning back.

Organised chaos. Went to collect an online order and it was so busy and hectic. Felt sorry for the staff. Waited about 10 minutes after collection time to get everything but this was fine given how busy it was. Food itself was good (classic nandos - tastybut not mind blowing) but check your order carefully before you leave, it wasn't until we got home that we found out all the bread items were missing from ours (so no pitta bread for the hummus, no rolls for the chicken livers) and we couldn't go back just for bread. Nhs discount was nice (but now capped at £4 when it used to be 20%)

Someone forgot my white wine. The manager apologised and got me a cold one without asking. Tbh I was not expecting this kinda hospitality from a chain. Also as they ran out of sauces, the waiter asked me what I wanted and brought me a pot. Whoever is the manager, hats off.

Great place to eat with the family, even for vegetarians. Only issue we have now is the price has increased substantially.

Nandos will always have a place in my heart. But I struggle to give this restaurant 5*. During my visit I got the vibe that staff were more interested in chatting to each other rather than the customers. The table we were seated at wasn't clean and we had to ask for it to be cleaned. Then once the food started coming out one of the meals was missed and from where I was sat I could see it on the hot plate next to where the staff were chatting, so a little disappointed. Other than that the food as always was great.

We were invited for a meal by a friend to celebrate her daughter’s birthday. The service was great. Members of staff were very accommodating and helpful especially Charlie. Thank you so much for the amazing service.

Me and my partner used to enjoy coming here. But they have really gone down hill! They have forgotten one of our meals on multiple occasions even though we ordered at the same time, meaning one of us have had to eat on our own whilst we waited for the other meal! When we went to collect an order, no one greeted us and my partner stood at the desk for 10 minutes and no one even acknowledged him. I understand they’re busy but they could be a bit more organised and helpful.

A big Nandos at one end of New Malden highstreet by the roundabout. Lots of tables. Always found a fee table. No parking very close. Use streets and walk.

Very disappointing to receive 4 chicken thighs half the size they normally are. Son is still hungry; as for my meal it’s not so bad as I need to lose weight.

We were served terrible garlic bread. When I asked the floor staff about such badly made bread, she said it was prepared by a person called Merllon. Very disappointing because we love Nando's, we should not be served these products.

My local Nando's is closed due to refurbishment, as such, this was my next closest restaurant. The food is good but I've noticed shrinkflation is definitely creeping in. The Sunset Burger continues to be delicious (as do the normal chips) but the mains portion is definitely shrinking which is very disappointing. I would half expect the sunset burger to be included in the starter section of the menu. As mentioned above though, the taste is great so let's not detract from that. I do however have to mention the service at this restaurant, it's virtually non existent and this is the primary reason for me giving such a low rating. I ordered an online collection and arrived at the agreed time (19:20). A member of staff asked if I had been served, to which I responded that I was there for a collection. They could not find the collection/order, I then waited another 10 minutes for someone to 'look for it.' 10 minutes later, they confirmed that the order had not been received by them and I was asked to wait. This is fine but I then had to wait another 15 minutes for my order to be prepared. I asked that they phone me when it was ready as I would be outside dodging the dreaded traffic warden. Politely actioning this request was impossible however as their phones 'weren't working' even though every member of staff had a mobile phone on them......could they not have used this, especially the manager? In summary, the whole online order concept is thrown into doubt if orders are not fed through to the restaurant. I have no way of confirming they truly did not receive it and it could also have been a case of them missing it, but the after sales treatment deserves better, or Nando's head office need to scrap their collection process as it clearly isn't fit for purpose, in today's time poor environment. The manager will probably respond with a comment along the lines of "We’ll be an Extra Hot five stars next time" but that appears to be the standard response when things don't go right. Do better at the outset, that's all we expect/pay for.

After shopping my best friend and I settled on eating in at Nandos than going home to cook cause you can't go wrong with treating yourself to a nandos meal.

Horrifically slow, the food is dreadful and everyone ignores you. Don’t come to this branch at least and save your money

Disappointed and disgusted that the manager did not give me a discount when I had expressed that I had food poisoning from the macaroni cheese the last time I was there. I wanted to be assured my food would be cooked to standard. The lovely gentleman Prax, he worked there had great customer service skills- he was highly skilled and kind

Awful experience last night which I have reached out to their customer service team about. On arrival, it took staff maybe 3 minutes to realise we arrived and be shown to our table. We weren't asked about allergies and intolerances. We also weren't asked if we had been to Nandos before or knew how to order food. Once we ordered, the staff took forever to bring us beverages, we had to show our order number. I didn't complain, and the guy at the till did apologise for the delay. Food also took forever and while my wife and I ordered at the same time, her meal didn't come at all and she had to check with the staff. We weren't asked if everything was okay with the food. Nor were we thanked when leaving. The staff, couldn't be bothered to do their job, perhaps they wanted to be outside playing in the sun, however this complete experience is shameful. Aside from this, we have previously ordered delivery from this branch and chicken is ALWAYS DRY. Do not come here. Do not order from here. The only reason we came was to redeem an orange chili each and it still wasn't worth it. Go to Wimbledon/Kingston Nandos.

I have NEVER been to a nando’s this disorganised, or with such little care for customers. First and foremost, I’d like to thank Pratx (unfortunately did not get his full name but this is what he preferred to be called) for his incredible service. He went above and beyond, ensured that we got our food and were seated no matter what, endured the misdirected yelling of so many customers and literally did Everything on the floor while the other staff ignored us. Honestly he deserves a promotion or a raise and recognition, thank you so much Prat. Extremely kind and accommodating despite the circumstances. Other than him, however, this experience was awful. Upon entering we were greeted with negative attitude, there were free tables (that another waiter actually seated us at in less than two minutes) but the waitress held out and said we’d have to wait for half an hour. We ordered, waited well over an hour for our food. One person’s food was forgotten on the counter for 30 minutes and served cold. Then we were told it was late because THEY RAN OUT OF CHICKEN? No chicken in a chicken restaurant on a random Thursday evening. No apologies, no compensation, no warning upon us entering of the wait time, no nothing. never coming here again, and would highly recommend against it for anyone else.

Almost 45min. Waiting if we don’t ask the crew about our order to check is not deliver…

The chicken thighs are always good! The broccoli was cooked to perfection. The sauce on the burger was weird and a lot hotter than usual. The service was great though with really friendly staff.

We were greeted upon arrival and had the freedom to choose our table. Ordering was usually straightforward, but a few customers caused a minor delay. Thankfully, I was able to redeem my NHS discount for myself and a friend, a positive change from a previous visit to their Clapham Northcote Road branch. Friendly atmosphere and Despite ordering at 6:40 pm, our food arrived at different times—my friend's at 6:50 pm and mine a few minutes later. While manageable, synchronizing the delivery would improve the experience. I ordered a chicken butterfly, garlic bread, peri chips, and wings. Overall quality was good, except for the wings. They were undercooked and surprisingly bland, lacking flavor, and had an unappealing appearance. In summary, the experience had highlights, like friendly staff and a successful NHS discount. However, improving timing and ensuring consistent food quality, especially with the wings, would significantly enhance satisfaction.

Wonderful experience at Nando's, New Malden. Food and atmosphere is superb as always. This time I have missed my handbag at the restaurant, but staff have kept it safely and returned it to me even after 1 week of my return to the restaurant. I am amazed with the honesty and truthfulness of the staff. Thank you guys, you guys are excellent.

Not great, nandos has really gone downhill. Food was very bland. It was also very cold in the restaurant. Based on other reviews too, it looks like they need to put some heating on!

Decent Nandos branch. My son enjoyed his butterfly chicken, mine was dry and overcooked unfortunately, but the sides of mash and broccoli was excellent.

Upon arrival, we was informed there's a small wait for chicken on the bone as it's in the oven. Proceeded to order, to then have to wait 50 mins for our food to arrive!

Not as good as it was when it first opened, service not great, bottle of wine turned up warm, and a big group standing around our table taking photos for about 30 mins.

Quiet Saturday afternoon visit with family, we were quickly shown to table and recommended to use QR code to order at table which we did. Despite being almost empty, the food took longer than usual to arrive and the server had no record of our drink orders so I needed to show my online receipt to get them. I'd order at the counter next time to try to avoid this. Food reliable as expected.

Maybe it was a Thursday evening when it wasn't too busy so there were not many staffs. Chicken wasn't grilled as well as I had before (they were cooked, just the skin wasn't charred at all). The manager lady was running around helping (bringing guests to table, till services, giving takeaway orders to driver...) and still with a cheerful voice and smile, bless her.

The best Nandos branch in SW London (in my opinion)! I've never had an issue here, but if something isn't right, the staff will always sort it straight away. Food always arrives as ordered, restaurant is clean, spacious, organised and all staff are friendly and polite. Yeah it's just a Nandos... yeah it's kind of pricey for chicken... but I have never not enjoyed a meal here... New Malden is always the branch I choose to visit every time over other local stores.

Beware, this Nandos does not send what you ordered. I ordered half a chicken and they send one leg and a half leg chopped in half, no chicken breast. Called to complain and no answer, terrible company.

I was doing collect. I was to be texted when my order was ready. This never came. I arrived a little early to the stated time. I was ignored in preference for 3 other customers who came after me. I have zero stars on atmosphere because I was only collecting. The food was alred left in there keep warm holder. Then the attendant had the cheek to tell me I was standing in the wrong area. I was at the til. I asked her where are the sign post to explain where I am meant to go to collect an order. This was the first time I've ever ordered online. Actually I didn't I was just helping my daughter, so I said to her I'd pick it up for her to save her the hassle. Obviously people in work clothes are not worthy to be served.

Amazing service from Jorge from the moment we walked in, we was greeted by him and even though we ordered on the app his customer service was spot on. He made sure that we were happy with our food. Amazing service, I definitely recommend this nandos to anyone. We will definitely be coming back.
