Nando's - Crawley in Crawley

First time visiting, never again! Arrived at 6pm, waited over an hour to be seated, Used the online app to order, only to find out that it was not working and staff were aware of that fact. did not see fit to tell us before more time was wasted. Then had to queue to place order. Food, mediocre at best arrived at gone 7.30 minus one item that was forgotten. Fantastic service, NOT. Thanks Nandos for an unforgettable birthday treat.

We’ve never been to a Nando’s before, ever, ever, the waitress seemed ‘what?’ But explained politely what we needed to do. So we did. We ordered the 3 starters for £10 , olives great, hummus great , cheese great. Our mains came out in minutes , 10 wings with 2 sides, and chicken breast and 2 sides. Everything was cooked perfectly and you have options of lots of different peri sauces. Garlic was my fav, my wife prefers the lemon. The only let down was the spicy rice , it tasted uncle bens packet , sadly All in all great lunch

Got seated quickly, table was sticky. Ordered through the app as usual and was easy. Been to loads of Nando’s over the years but this is the first time in Crawley, it started off ok we ordered drinks and food, 5 mins later our food arrived we normally expect our drinks first glasses etc so we can go and get our drinks but to my surprise the food turns up first, ok no big deal here so I get up and walked to a member of staff and asked if we should have had our glasses brought to the table, I wondered as we haven’t been to a Nando’s for a good few months and thought maybe they had changed things. The lady who I approached couldn’t seem to understand me and she gave me a hand gesture to follow her she took me to another member of staff and indeed she didn’t understand me and spoke in another language to another member of staff who then approached me but it was obvious that he could talk English and so I asked him had the rules changed as we got our food but didn’t receive glasses. He apologised and handed us our glasses, it all took a bit of time while our food was laid on the table getting cold and by the time we had got back to the table with our drinks my food was more or less cold, I still ate it all as I didn’t want to waste best part of £80. It’s annoying that they have employed Someone who can’t actually speak or understand English

Fantastic freshly cooked food. Very efficient and quick helpful service. Nando’s Crawley is great and is always on time!!

This restaurant is good, it has quick customer service and kinda large if this isn't too packed. They also have a periometer how spicy you like your food, it comes from extra mild to extra hot. I'm kinda like spicy food but I prefer medium over the others. I loved this resturtant since childhood!

After a failed visit to another venue we ended up here for a pre holiday dinner. Was welcomed warmly and everything explained as we don’t order on their app .Enjoyed my visit nice food attentive staff would use again

We were taken to our table by a very welcoming and polite younger male, he asked if we were familiar with the ordering. Ordering food via the app was easy and when arrived, it was perfectly cooked. Really enjoyed my visit!

Food was nice and catered well for gluten and lactose allergy. They were asking customers before ordering whether they had an allergy, which is great. The manager also went through the allergens and ingredients with me for each item I wanted to order to ensure they were safe, and she said the kitchen would be made aware of the allergies and prepare the food separately to minimise the risk of cross contamination - perfect!

I went there with my family and had a delightful dinner. I had a chicken burger with added halloumi (the halloumi was 1.75 extra a bit expensive) and it was very nice with lovely sauce and proper chicken breast. For my drink I had a refillable soft drink which is quite a good price. For dessert I got the fro-yo. It was unlimited but they give you a pot of fro-yo first which is a bit disappointing as I wanted to choose my portion of fro-yo. Overall very good dinner but a bit overpriced.

I recently had probably one of the quickest meals I’ve ever had in my life. I arrived and was seated immediately by a lovely young lady. She seemed to be the only person actually doing any work out in the restaurant. Others were stood around chatting to each other. I had to get up and ask for my glass as 2 ladies were just chatting away behind the til. Food arrived within 5 mins of ordering and I was out within 15 minutes of seating! Extremely quick!

we ordered nando's for tonight, and during the meal I checked the peri-peri drizzle sauce how long I can keep it. And guess what?! It's already expired from 12 days!!! Best before 07/01/2023!! I know what is the different "use by" or "best before" but 12 days?!? And what make even worst that really made me mad is: I called the customer service to make them aware that they are selling a product that is already expired! And the answer was "sir if you are happy we can refund £1.80" are you serious right now!? So you are selling something that is completely illegal in regard to Health safety & Food safety and you are trying to give me £1.80 back?!? Do you know how dangerous is selling expired food ??

Served quickly but a lot of food out of stock. Still tasted good as always though and music was a bit loud.

We recently ate at Nandos in Crawley. The quality of food was very good with wide choice especially for children. It is interesting to note how the Nandos in England is quite different to what we are used to in South Africa with far more food choice and taste. Very good meal.

I have avoided Nando's as I do not favor chains overall; however, found myself having to eat lunch at one. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the butterfly chicken breast, 13,75. You can choose 2 sides. I picked rice and the rainbow slaw, everything was good. I was surprised by the quality of the slaw. Impressive how seriously they take allergies!

This has to be the most miserable meal I've ever eaten. Forced to order online, even when there are loads of staff, forgotten drink, luke warm chips which taste terrible. Sad looking undressed salad, and a cold burger, bread more like cardboard. I wished I hadn't bothered

I ordered a collection takeaway and when my husband came to collect the order he was told that Nando’s had ‘run out of sauce sachets’ 🤔. I phoned the store to query this and was shouted at and spoken over by an incredibly rude ‘manager’ who kept shouting at me ‘the sachets are free so you can’t complain!’. When I asked who I can talk to who can help - and actually listen - to my query, she told me she would get a supervisor…and then hung up on me. Awful customer service, awful staff, and a dry as a bone family Nando’s now in the bin.

So, after 50 years, I finally succumbed to. Nando’s. Staying at premier inn Gatwick on Saturday night before jetting off to Malta tomorrow, we dived into Nando’s for dinner. Very impressed. Staff very efficient, was told we’d have to wait 15 mins for a table and we were sat in 5. Once we’d order via the app, our food arrived pretty quickly, certainly within 10 minutes. Looked freshly cooked, was hot and tasted good. Overall, very good, 4 for dinner, mains all with 2 sides less than £60, certainly good value for money and can see why people say a cheeky Nando’s!!!

Ordered via deliveroo when staying in a local hotel and fancied something other than room service. Delivery was prompt and the food was really well packed and hot! Very happy with the quality of the chicken and the wings were delicious.

Was told to use the Nando app to order and pay, dissapointing as not a user of these systems. When I asked if i could book seperately, it seemed a issues for the waiter, not good customer service. Eventually after a wait, someone came with a good old fashioned pad, took the order and soon after the order arrived. 50% wrong! Sorted eventually but was a pain.

Not one to usually give reviews but this place deserves one, was seated and served by hannah amazing waitress/front of house staff, answered all questions and helped serve me at the till as I was using a gift card instead of the app. Purely writing a review based on her customer service alone! Brilliant she deserves a raise. :)

Visited here for a pit stop on our way home. I had never had a Nando’s before. Whilst it was not earth shattering amazing I was pleasantly surprised. I do think the staff here were amazing, it must be incredibly difficult to work in these circumstances and they did a fantastic job. We ate inside and felt safe, there was plenty of room around us for social distancing. The restaurant felt clean. The chicken I had was okay, have had better but I did enjoy my first Nando’s and will try the restaurant in my home town. Thank you to your staff for making me feel safe.

Visited Nandos on a Saturday with friends (adults and children) for a birthday lunch. As with other Nandos I've visited there's no prebooking, and with the popularity if you're a large group you may have a little wait for a table.Ordering is at the counter, and by the time we'd all used the drinks machine our food was starting to arrive... Super fast.The chicken was tasty, with our group choosing various levels of heat. There are also nando sauce bottles so you can add more.Portions were large, with the butterfly burger combined with peri salt fries being especially good.Another successful visit to Nandos, would reccomend.

Great table by the toilets. No information that you had to go to the counter to order. So that was 10 mins wasted. Didn't have the beer we wanted.The food arrived fairly quickly. The chicken portion was far smaller than suggested by the comparative prices.No complaints on quality.

Went there for lunch with family ........ very busy ....... fast service ........ food very well prepared and tasty ....... Portions very small !!! Ordered quarter chicken with two sides and got a chicken leg from a small chicken and a side of rice (one tablespoon full) and a side of spinach (one tablespoon full) with no exaggeration ............ for £8 !!! The child's meal for £5.95 consisted of more !!!

You get what you pay for, decent food, sometimes a bit of a wait, but its worth it. Solid choice if you like chicken.

Visited here after a trip to the cinema. The food came within about 10 minutes which was very quick. I had the bottomless drink where you can refill on soft drinks as much as you want. For my meal I had 5 chicken wings (hot) which were very nice with a side of chips and garlic bread. The garlic bread is so nice and I recommend you choose it with your meal. Pudding wise they do lots of cakes and ice cream (gelato). Staff are very friendly too and overall a very nice meal and will be returning soon!

Just because it sells chicken and portuguese beer doesn't mean it's a Portuguese restaurant so please stop calling it that. It's just a fancy and more expensive fast food restaurant

There’s not much to say about the decor and welcome. Nando’s do this extremely well and the Crawley restaurant easily delivers the company standard.

Good nandos. Gets very busy but quite big so the wait isn’t too long. Standard nandos but staff are attentive and friendly. Good before or after a flight from gatwick only 10-15 mins away. Free parking.

I wouldn’t normally choose Nando’s not being a fan of spicy food however by partner insisted we have a quick bite to eat before the cinema . We were sorted within a few mins considering it was busy . Food was really quick and fresh , the mushroom and hallomi wrap is a must it is delicious, great food at a great price and great quick service ! Will definitely return

Came here Friday lunchtime - had the steak sandwich with multigrain salad. It was cooked so quickly, and tasted delicious! Service was friendly too.

It’s always quick but found the chicken dry and tasteless despite wacking loads of sauce on it! The Fanta Orange was really watering as well I did advise staff member but they didn’t do anything ! Pain after paying £2.80.

We popped in for a birthday lunch and, as always, the food was consistently first class; fresh, hot and delicious! Great to see a restaurant that considers the environment- no more plastic straws and paper straws only available on request. Love the bottomless soft drinks. The staff could not be more attentive and efficient.

I don't quite understand why, but nandos often don't bother to fix the awful quality tables that make you feel like you're at sea as they precariously seesaw around every time you dare lean on one. Food ok, but the chips were soggy (?!), No-one checked the meal, and the toilets had urine everywhere. General atmosphere is standard Crawley.

You don’t have to worry about the sky falling down in this restaurant! More finger licking chicken than chicken licken. Visited in half term with kids after a trip to the cinema. A little bit of a wait for a table 10-15 minutes during busy lunchtime period. First visit here and only second time in a Nando’s. Ordered food at counter. Came promptly. All our meals were well cooked and all enjoyed their food. Staff friendly and attentive despite being very busy, but not obtrusive. Probably not for you if you don’t like chicken because menu quite limited, but very tasty. Soft drink refills a hit with the kids. Only downside was them running out of cake! Would happily go again and recommend.

I go to a Nando's restaurant probably about once a week, and I can honestly say that this is the best Nando's I have ever been to. Their team is excellent, always helpful even though they are rushed off their feet. The chicken is always delicious and cooked to perfection (tip - ask for the chicken to be well done - it comes out extra crispy!) and although they are always very busy, the servers always have a smile on their face.

The service was terrible because I got to a till with my friend and this till lady said go and join the queue but we been waiting like 10 mins and she was a bit rude bad service in my book not happy

We love Nando’s. It is one of the best place from Crawley. We come every week to eat in here. Very nice food, but I think now the portions are a little bit more smaller than usually. Our visit was perfect because of Christian (Romanian guy). He was friendly, polite and very helpful. We will gone come back soon :)

I love Nando’s! I’ve only been a few times (usually in Brighton) but it was my friend’s first time and the hostess didn’t even ask if we had visited before and knew how to order - I’m not even sure she said hi. Then, the lady at the till was very unfriendly as well. Overall, very bizarre experience as far as service goes. The food, however, was delicious as usual! And the garlic peri peri is always to die for.

My husband caught an early film and by 8.30 were hungry and ready to eat something quick. Fast service, really good value, something for everyone and full of flavours. Quarter chicken with fries & rice £7.45 - bargain!

Always good food, love nandos, at least 1 time a month I go to Nando’s and always have the usual as it’s half a chicken on lemon and herb with rice and sweet potato’s, and let’s not forget a superbock beer👌😁

My boyfriend and I were starving that day looking for a good restaurant we enter Nando’s we love the chicken there so we ordered and the service was very quick and the food was on the tables less that 5 minutes after whist was amazing!!!!!! Wouldn't have been my choice but grandson reckoned it would be OK as he had been before and loved it. Had to queue to order which took ages. Meal took ages to arrive - nothing special but quite expensive. Don't think we will go again - been there - done that.

Visited this branch as I was in business meetings in Crawley. Was not disappointed with the food or the service. Everything was clean and efficient.

Sat outside for some lunch with my daughter, food and drink order was quick even though it was a busy Saturday lunch time. Really enjoyed the Chicken Pitta but the chips could of been better! It won’t put me off going back though!

Nando's is usually one of the better chains in Crawley. My Chicken burger & peas were tasty but shame about the chips.They could of done with being a bit warmer. Disappointing lunch.But hey ho, the wine was nice!

Regularly busy and noisy. Apart from that if you been to Nandos before you will know what to expect. Staff always seem ok, order messed up on one occasion, complimentary dessert delivered as an apology.

We went there for a birthday meal. For whatever reason, restaurant was unable to book us a table, asking us to just turn up. That was Saturday evening. After over an hour wait we were seated. I didn't want even go there but the birthday gilr insisted - somehow she likes their food - big mystery to me why!

Having walked out of Jamie's Italian at Gatwick South terminal due to dirty state of tables, it was a real pleasure to be treated in a clean and comfortable restaurant at Nando's. The food was perfectly cooked, tasty, and fitted our pre flight lunch requirement, and was served on a clean table. Well done NANDO's, for demonstrating that food does not has to cost a lot to be satisfying. We have been a customer's of yours since the early opening days, and will continue be your loyal customers. I often visit Nandos with friends and family as it is reasonably priced and generally everyone likes the food. But on this occasion I felt really let down by them. One of my favourite dishes is the Supergrain side, but on ordering I was told it wasn't available. As this is one of their standard sides I was quite shocked and had to choose something else. I ordered the Macho Peas instead but these were frankly vile - just a dish of normal peas (no idea why they they big these up on the menu as anything other than just peas) sitting in some super-spicy water. Someone had recommended the Portuguese chicken livers in a special roll to me so I ordered that, which tasted lovely but the roll was small and rather inadequate for the amount of livers; I also had to make this myself, which is a particular hate of mine as I don't visit a restaurant to DIY my food. It really would have benefited from a garnish too, lettuce/salad, just something! Thumbs down for this visit Nandos, sorry. Having had the sweet potato wedges before I would never order these again, as they tend to come out cold, soggy yet undercooked unfortunately.

Service was really good. Absolutely love going to nandos. We have visited many chains across the UK and have never really been disappointed in any. Food was served quick even though it was a fairly busy Friday night. Good location.

Visited Nando's on a Sunday for a family meal. It was really busy but managed to wait for a table for less than 10 minutes. They staff were really friendly, Both kids and adults enjoyed the meal. Would defiantly visit again.

Always a good staple for me & the family, cant go wrong with a Nando's every so often. The kids love it as much as the grown ups. Grilled up Peri Chicken & hot fries Mmmmm.

Visited recently before going to see The Greatest Showman at the iMax (10 out of 10 by the way, and I usually hate musicals).

Nando’s is not a good restaurant but if you want to eat something without waiting too long it is alright. Thought I would only recommend spicy chicken wings with sides because everything else tastes horrible.
