This is the second time I have visited this place since I had bad experience from their staff last time. I only visited this Nandos because this is the closest Nando’s for me and I love Nando’s food. I have visited this place on 02/08/24 around 9:30pm. As far as I remember going to a lot of Nandos we enter the restaurant and wait at the door for one of the customer assistants to come and speak to you and offer you the table. Both of my visits I just waited there hoping someone would acknowledge and offer us a table that never happened. The staff just ignores to give any eye contact and walks right in front of us do not care about the customers or ask them if they are alright. After staring at the staff for a while I have asked one of the staff who ignored us for a couple of times to offer us a table and then she did. If it was a busy night I would expect and understand the staff must be busy but that was a quiet night and expecting this kind of service is disappointing. It took a while for the food to arrive too. Customer service is a let down. I will probably end up going there again because as I mentioned earlier this is the closest Nando’s to me and I love their food but if I had an option of another Nandos I wouldn’t go back to this branch after having two bad experiences in my last two visits. I hope this review reaches you well and work on improving the service. Thank you Ps: I think it was the store manager who took my order that night at the till, she was the only pleasant lady and made her guests felt welcomed.

This used to be (2 years ago) one of the better Nandos I have visited, however after visiting today (July 2024) it has deteriorated significantly from a 5 to 2 review. Slow service, we waited 30 minutes for our food and it was not very busy at most only 50% full, the food was Luke warm and the whole restaurant was in need of a major overhaul and as for the state of the toilets... I will not be returning.

bad service, upon entering the manager appeared to be agruing with delivery drivers, had to wait to be seated and when I went to order I seemed invisible, after a while a staff member reluctantly took my order with no interest, the staff were slow and all seemed like they didn't want to be there except to chat with each other. our food waited ready to be served for 5 minutes so was cold when we received it. The food itself was really good, it's a shame the front of house staff weren't on par with the kitchen team! The toilets were disgusting

Came to Nando’s Cambridge for a family meal, after being told there was no mayonnaise for the burgers we politely asked if we could have perinaise instead to be told we would have to pay extra for this, taken back I asked for a manager only to be told by this little rat that she was the manager (toral). I told her I was totally shocked that she thought this was acceptable and another member of staff (Lynn) stepped in and agreed this was unacceptable and made sure our meal was brought out without any more issues Lynn 10/10 Toral manager 1/10

We arrived on a Saturday night at 5:30pm and had to wait to be seated, despite our table being ready (they didn't want the kitchen to be overwhelmed). No cutlery was available. No water glasses were available. The ice maker was broken. The Nandos app refused to let me pay, so I had to queue at the till. Multiple deliveroo drivers were hanging around this area and made it very crowded. The food was fine although took a little longer than the town centre Nandos (due to the number of deliveroo orders?). The waitress seemed bored. I really felt that the seated customers were a nuisance in what is essentially a kitchen run for online orders.

We have been to Nando’s numerous times, but we have never encountered such a bad service. The waitress didn’t know what she was doing on her shift. She forgot what we had ordered and on top of that.. she gave us something else which we didn’t order after waiting 25mins. Improve your service! We are not going to this Nando’s again!

Really bad service. Out of wing. Big delay. Out of wedges but not told this until 20 mins after ordering. Ordered sharing platters and when I asked for 2 plates was told they were out of plates!! Had to wait 10 mins fkr dishwasher to finish. I am not making this up. Our food sat under heat lamps for ages and I had to beg kitchen staff to allow me to take it ! There was waiting staff and a manager but they were completely disinterested. Previous time I was there they messed up the order and instead of just giving us what we were missing ( it was broccoli ffs!) they went back and forth with receipts and had manager come over and eventually satisfied themselves on the paperwork that we were entitled to our broccoli - by which time we had finished eating! Both visits were Monday night with the place only about quarter full. Most surprising thing is that it’s still functioning with this staff. Truly truly terrible service.

Have been to many a Nando's and always been pleased in the past. This visit was awful. Seated after about a 15 min wait despite plenty of tables being free. Ordered on the app straight away. No service at all to our table for 20 mins. Had to go and find a member of wait staff to ask where our drinks were. Food was stacking up on the passover without wait staff serving. Another 20 mins or so before our food was served. All the time the staff (not that there were many) seemed to be walking around without purpose. Food was OK when it finally arrived but, by then, our mood wasn't exactly buoyant! We won't be returning to this restaurant.

On a recent Friday evening, I had a regrettable experience at Nando's, specifically the Cambridge Leisure Park store. I had decided to place a takeaway order, but what transpired during my visit left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. I arrived at the Cambridge Leisure Park Nando's location and placed a takeaway order. The estimated wait time was stated to be up to 20 minutes. I returned to the store after 25 minutes and patiently waited near the tills, understanding that it might be busy due to the Friday rush. Unfortunately, the wait staff seemed overwhelmed and busy. While waiting for my order, I approached the person who had taken my order for an update on its status. The staff member responded in a rude manner, displaying disrespectful body language. He curtly stated that he didn't know how long it would take and conveyed his irritation. Feeling taken aback by the rudeness of the staff member, I chose to exit the store, as I did not appreciate the unprofessional treatment. Outside the store, I discussed my experience with a friend who was waiting for me. To my astonishment, the staff member who had been disrespectful to me noticed us and came out. He made an unnecessary and confrontational comment, insinuating that I was a threat and even threatened to involve the manager with the intent to have us removed from the premises. My visit to Nando's Cambridge Leisure Park was marred by the discourteous and unprofessional behaviour of an unidentified staff member. This unpleasant encounter left me deeply dissatisfied and disappointed with the level of customer service at this particular location. I strongly urge potential patrons to consider their options before visiting this Nando's outlet, as my experience suggests that there may be concerns regarding the behaviour and professionalism of some employees. It is essential for businesses to ensure that their staff members uphold a respectful and courteous attitude towards customers, even during busy periods, to maintain the reputation and quality of service expected from establishments like Nando's.

The inside of the restaurant had a terrible small like unclean cutlery and there was a lot of food and grime in the floor so decided to sit outside. There was a lot of litter outside. I then asked for some vinegar and was given a bottle that when looking at it closer had flies inside the bottle and slime. It was given back to the waiter and I advised that they get rid of the bottle as it was disgusting. I will never go to this venue again. The we waiting staff were fine but the grimyness of the restaurant, the smell inside and the disgusting contents of the vinegar bottle should be sorted out asap or environmental health should be called to investigate.

I have been to this Nando's a good few times over the past 12 months. Its convenient when doing other activities at Cambridge Lesuire and I am consistently disappointed. The other Nandos restaurants in Cambridge are far better. I just can't understand how this particular restaurant is so below par compared with others I visit. The food is fine but the staff are inattentive. They spend more time chatting to each other or avoiding eye contact. I use the app to order, which Nandos prefer you to do now, so there is even less interaction required and they still fall short. They even stand around at the entrance and then move for you to exit without even an attempt to open the door They were blocking. More training needed. The staff are all polite enough but not proactive at all. The past two times I've been with my children I've cleared our plates and piled them up as no one comes to check on us. I have to go up the the counter to ask for the children's desserts as no one comes anywhere near the table. And PLEASE please please clean the class screens between the tables. They are so filthy it's concrrning and if I worked there I would find it embarrassing.

Pretty scrumptious ngl, food took an eternity to arrive compared to everyone else but when it did come it was worth the wait , scrumptious chips, love the seasoning , burger was a bit tricky to consume so I had to deconstruct it , but overall the flavour and texture was there making for a good burger, corn also good , they provided the butter , very good from the lads behind the scenes. Had a good time here today and I’m glad I came. Ps my friend put Fanta all on the floor sorry guys.

We ordered for delivery and one of our sides was missing, and the halloumi in the wrap was also missing. They weren't helpful when we told them, and they weren't willing to redeliver the missing items. Further to the above experience 2 years ago, we just now ordered via Deliveroo from this restaurant and one of our sides (coleslaw) was missing. The resolution? They gave us back 80p credit... That doesn't really make up for the missing item, especially as a side costs way more than that when you order it!

I'm not in the habit of leaving one stars reviews, but I really don't have a choice this time. The family ordered their meals, all of which arrived on time apart from mine. At first, there was no record of my order. Subsequently, it was found on a counter waiting having being mislayed. The manger/lead was very apologetic and said said a new batch would be prepared. Took no more than 5 mins... tasted OK.. not as nice as normal... I assume this was because it was made quickly... Next 2 days spent in bed with stomach issues and headaches... I still feel nauseous.

Visited today with 5 work colleagues, as an experiment to see what level of customer service nandos provides, and how it makes you feel as a paying customer, to help improve our own customer service & NPS. We stood waiting as we walked in, no one welcomed us straight away or smiled - no one told us they will be with us shortly. Once we were seen we got took to a table, and then given menus to go up and order. The interaction at the till was sub standard, the food was delivered within 5 minutes, but the waiters just quietly said what the food was and then chucked it on the table. We all really enjoyed our meal, the food was delicious and great value. Once we finished our meals, we left & received no thankyou or goodbye. Overall this helped me personally see how not to treat customers. A friendly welcome makes customers feel welcome, and a farewell makes you feel valued. If i was to score the store fairly on NPS it would be a 4-5 out of 10.

Mistakes will always be made. What's important is how you put things right. On a family takeaway order of £73, we got home and sat down to eat, then discovered my own main was missing! Everyone had dinner but me. The manager apologized and promptly refunded the main course, but not the two sides, as if I would ever order the two sides without the main! Rubbish management.

We booked a table for 8 for last night about 10 days ago. We arrived and they had no booking for us, luckily there was a tight squeeze table available. We placed our orders via the QR option, although not all the sides that were on the paper Menu were on the QR, placed order, 10 mins later realised I hadn’t ordered Peri peri mayo. Went to counter, 4 people in queue, waited and waited while 2nd till point was not being used. Asked for someone to use the sencond till point only to be told no. In the mean time my food arrived at the table, I am still in the queue. Eventually get back to table with mayo, food warm not hot now, burger bun was stale and tough. The chicken was dry and hard. Went to get bottomless coke only to find half the drinks were not working. Overall a very disappointing visit.

First thing we noticed is how dirty the floor was (we were sticking to it as we walked), secondly our server pointed to a code on the (dirty) table and saying "you know how to order"(we didn't actually) before walking off. As there seemed to be a problem with the app (girl at the counter having a very long argument with staff whilst pointing at her phone), we went and ordered from the main desk. The counter at the main desk is absolutely filthy - greasy and sticky and I hope no-one was brave enough to eat any of the stale cakes under the grubby glass covers. Girl with phone app problem has now been going for about 10 mins so another member of staff comes to take our order - whilst taking the order, a manager informs us that there will be a wait of at least half a hour for the food - at least they told us, rather than us just waiting. Very limited choice of beer or wine at vastly inflated prices. Husband went to the toilet and said it was disgustingly dirty. The whole restaurant is so old and tired but there is just no excuse for how dirty it is - really didn't want to eat anything here because of the lack of hygiene. We had ordered a family platter which arrived at least 10 mins apart with most of the sides missing. When the corn did arrive it was burnt to a crisp - sent it back and received raw corn instead. I hate to be a complainer, but we are living in times where going out to eat should be a treat, not an excuse to get ripped off to the tune of £100 for some factory chicken, oven chips and microwave rice served up in dirty, scruffy surroundings. The staff here are nice enough but Nandos are not getting any more of my money - AVOID.

Decided to play it safe with a medium spice in a burger with spiced chips too. Highly recommended if you fancy a spice that won't leave you reaching for a drink, but a pleasant warmth. Chips were top notch. The service was really friendly and all the team seemed to contribute well to the atmosphere of the place. For my first Nando's experience in some years, it was a wonderful one.

Food was just awfull it was like eating raw food without the feathers I asked for mediem spice I got chicken that had no flavour it was so bland that it was blandness I have been to other nados and the chicken was to die for but this was taking the mick. I love spice but there was none not even a grain of salt I will not be going back to this nandos or will I recommend it to anyone this nandos has let the fleet down down down.

This Nando's is the best town! The food and the service is amazing. I stopped going here as the beehive nandos was more convenient. I wish I didn't. I always say it as it is and I will try to go to the leisure centre Nando's in the future!

I have beena Nando's customer for many years, and experienced many of their restuarants. The Cambridge Leisure Nando's is completely out of control. Delivery orders are routinely missing food, inside the restaurant staff won't complete orders and still forget items. Turnover seems very high and it's not clear what measures the company is taking to turn the tide. Nando's Cambridge is no longer fully operational, and I am scared to imagine what will be found at the next hygiene inspection. Avoid Nando's at Cambridge Leisure.

My chicken looked and tasted like charcoal, other half's chips were cold but at no point were we asked if everything was ok. (Were not left w a rooster and nobody in staff team noticed my attempts to complain.) Service was lacking big time. Didn't have an opportunity to complain as dirty plates removed without a word so quickly i didn't have an opportunity to open my mouth. I left the charcoal level chicken skin clearly visible in disgust. I couldn't seem to catch any staff's attention to complain. No care had been taken to quality control, it was obvious that was below par, the chicken was over 70% burnt black. Ruined a romantic dinner on holiday. I love nandos, visiting many in different places and would really recommend that people avoid this one. Also food sat under the lights for a good 10 mins.

I tried to eat here, but wasn't able to order. I arrived, was seated, and was shortly thereafter reseated to accommodate another group arriving. Visiting from abroad, I wasn't going to use the online interface since I'm (1) not sure if I can pay through it with my card, and (2) it required me to create an account to complete my order, which includes sharing contact information which I'm not interested in. I was paid no attention by staff, and decided to cut my losses after 25 minutes of being ignored. As such, I wasn't even able to order - which was a shame, as I was interested in trying the spicier versions of chicken.

Absolutely disgusted with Nando's! Ordered food which never arrived, it stated on their tracking that the order had been delivered. We called Deliveroo who said they'd give us a refund and that was all they could do for us, but that wasn't the point, we still needed to eat. As no one was picking up the phone when we tried to call Nando's a few times, we went there personally but they said they could not do anything except that if we wanted we could order more food from them. No idea where our order went! they did not seem very bothered about the fact that the order which I had paid for was delivered to someone else. I am very surprised that the courier they use, Deliveroo, don't check that they deliver the order to the paying customer. I will never order, or ever eat at, the Cambridge Nando's in the future. And also am put off ordering any food which will be delivered by Deliveroo. Looking at other reviews, it seems I am not the only one who has had problems with deliveries on orders. One more disappointment I would to mention is that the person I spoke to when I called Deliveroo who processed the refund, told me that I will receive my refund within 72 hours, but the confirmation email I received for the refund stated that it will take 5-10 days. I think this is terrible! I am very surprised too that Nando's did not want to take any responsibilities at all for home deliveries, whether paying customers received their food or not!

Attended here with family including a baby under one year old. The food was more costly than I'd expected and the portions smaller than i remember and really dry. Went to the ladies toilets at the end of the meal. There was wet toilet tissue all over the floor and sink, someone had spat on the floor and 2 out of the three toilets were unflushed and very dirty! I did not want to touch the sinks as they were dirty with wet tissue! Never seen such a filthy Nandos toilet. I would expect a decent level of cleanliness especially when you are paying so much for the food.
