El pelo del personal no impresionado está fuera cuando creo que debería estar cubierto por razones de higiene. Seguía limpiándose la frente en la manga, luego cocinaba a la parrilla y también ponía comida en microondas urgghh 😭 La comida tardó mucho. .. como. . . ¿dónde está el personal? 🤦🏾♀️ La comida estaba fría y demasiado cocinada tenía que ser enviado de vuelta. Espero que lo hagan bien la segunda vez smh. La señora vino con la comida sólo para volcar la bebida por todo mi teléfono y la mesa pobre estaba demasiado trabajada y parecía estresada. Los estándares han bajado mucho ¡No vuelvas aquí con prisa!

Dejé a mi hija en la Academia O 2 donde está viendo a Chappell Roan y papá tiene licencia para ir a comer. Un Nando's está al otro lado de la calle en 234 - 244 Stockwell Road y nunca he estado en un Nando's antes. Dejé claro al entrar que nunca había comido en un Nando's antes, señalé una mesa que no tenía un código QR para pedir, así que pregunté qué debía hacer, así que me mostraron una Q por mostrador. Pensé que este era un restaurante no una comida para llevar, así que tomé mi lugar en la Q y esperé. Y esperó mientras la persona en el mostrador hacía bebidas y desaparecía de vez en cuando. Finalmente tuve la oportunidad de ordenar, di a conocer mi presencia virgen y fue para ser recibido con una sonrisa encantadora. Sin embargo, tuve que bromear con la información relevante como pedir y de dónde saqué mi bebida La comida, sin embargo, compensó este paladar pero sentado afuera se enfrió rápidamente. A pleasant Security guy greeted at Nandos Brixton, that was the only thing that was good. A control freak was on the til. Slow to non existent table allocation service, waited a very long time waiting by the door someone anyone to give us a menu, we end up just picking up the menu and walking to a table. The place wasn’t even bizzy, but money orirntated control freak on the til had staff kind of confused. End up walking out as when we went to order the focus was on delivery orders and not eat in customers. And we weren’t the only people who walked out. Nando’s lost out on at least £150 if not more. The Nando’s needs to be careful in a cost of living crisis that incompetent franchise owners don’t tarnish the brand

So much food on the floor and staff just walking past it. Table was sticky as hell. Dirty plates left on tables far too long. Cutlery so dirty had to ask to have it cleaned. Server working at a snails pace. Guy taking order at till charged us for a bottle of wine instead of just a glass, had to have it corrected. Zero hospitality, poor guest experience. When eating out is an expensive treat, as a business you can't expect guests to ever come back.

We went for a last minute dinner and we regretted it. Quantity of food served was scarse and quality much lower than other Nando's brunches. We spent roughly £41 to be still hungry at the end of the meal. At some point we decided to talk to the waitress, who actually was really nice and she said this was serious so she will report it to manager. This one ignored us all night to eventually come to us after being told again what happened. We explained and his attitude was wrong and defensive. Nothing was done on the occasion, simply a promise that in the future, if we go back (I doubt it), they will make us happier. Clearly very unexperienced approach and it ended up being more laughable than a proper conversation. Last but not least, food was so terrible that I couldn't sleep last night being half way to food poisoning to be fair.

Worse experience ever!!! The manager was very rude! His name was Keri Malo. (not sure if it is the right spelling, as the person in charge had no name badge). when we asked him to split the bill in half (£46) he asked us to do the calculatuon.... It's a simple math... why should a customer be asked to do the calculation? we told him once again that we want to pay half and half and he asked again to calculate the amount. Then we asked about the wines which ones are dried and the staff had no idea. We didn't know that we had to collect the wine from the bar, so I was about to go back to our table and the person in charge shouted that we have to wait to get the drinks. I turned around and said sorry and thank you. The manager didn't even respond and turned around. Security Guy was very nice he show us table and wa polite

This is my first time going to nando's considering that I suffer from severe allergies ( anaphylaxis). I really appreciate the customer service and the amazing chef for taking his time and effort to perfect my order and make sure that there was no chance of me going to A&E. The manager at this particular restaurant was the sweetest and understanding person I have ever encountered. She made sure that I had the best possible experience and that I was ok with the food that I had ordered. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody suffering from food allergies like me. Best wishes, Younis.

It was our first time going to this particular restaurant. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were really friendly. We were sat down at a table with our menus and all. We ordered our food on the app which is fairly easy to use. There was no corn on the cob available nor any drinks for bottomless except diet coke which is fine for me but not my partner as such. The food wait seemed to drag a bit considering how busy it was. Our food arrived and it was nicely presented, but the chicken looked burnt and tasted burnt. It didn’t really have much flavour to it and they were rather small pieces. The spicy rice was okay, however I have had better experiences with it in other restaurants. We also shared the grilled chicken wraps, they were perfect. Perfect amount of sauce, the chicken was perfect! The chips were nicely done. We also didn’t receive our drinks before our food, so we had to ask for glasses for our drinks. The server however, went and filled our glasses for us. Overall, we have had better experiences at other Nando’s but it wasn’t the worst.

The welcome was atrocious. Visited around 6.30pm and greeted by an aggressive African security guarding just pointing and grunting as he ordered everyone around like cattle. No welcome whatsoever. Staff acted as if we should be grateful they’d taken the time to seat us and then told us we needed to order online only - no waiter or counter service as they were too busy. There was no signal where we were sat. We left. Also, I’m deaf in one ear and despite explaining to the security guard (who was just rude) they continued to mumble and look away when speaking. Dreadful.

Please don’t go there.Too many young people and customer service is very bad. One staff taking orders and clearing tables. Dirty dishes sits on the table for ages, waiting for someone to clear. Wait forever for your meals, when it did arrive chicken is undercooked and can’t even taste the sauce.Rice was cold, it seems like they cooked it in the fridge instead of a cooker . Send back the chicken to be cooked , I might as well did go to KFC up the road I would have enjoyed the meal. They need to have experience staff and proper chef who knows how to cook. I will not make the mistake and go there again.

We ate here as a family before attending the Brixton Academy O2 for a concert. Very short wait for a table. Ordered food and drink at the counter as we were in a bit of a hurry, all delivered quickly by smiley waiting staff. Food was better than expected and staff check on us that all was good several times. If we came back I would definately eat here again

They have the most terrible and poorest customer service. From having no sauce to make the damn chicken to the tills so calledly not working after taking many orders mins before. Way to many young people who don't like to do their jobs properly and want to serve cold and under cooked food. This Nandos is by far the worstttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt I have ever been to. Absolutely terrible I am disgusted.

Popped in with a friend for a quick meal. The ordering app failed and our server tried to help and then called his supervisor who oversaw our order. Given the delay, he asked the kitchen to prioritise it too. Three other servers also stopped to ask if our food etc was OK. Well done team. Great service and decent food too.

We popped in for a quick cheap eats before going into Brixton Academy for a concert on a Friday night in Feb22. The place was busy with many take away / delivery picks ups, which was to be expected. It took around 10 minutes to be seated and 30 minutes after that before we received our food order, so allow time for your food to arrive at your table during busy times. They encourage you to order via the bar code located on the table and with your mobile phone. This was an intermittent service on our phone and at the end; the website required you to create an account, which we declined to do. We were still able to order at the bar service area and pay. We sat near the counter area and saw a number of meals on the top shelf under the warm lamp to keep food warm for what I would say longer than the meals should have been there for, due to the shortness of staff. However, that said, our meal was on the shelf for less than a minute and served to us hot, so we were not disappointed. 4 stars given is based on us expecting to wait a long time on a Friday night and receiving our food hot and the staff being friendly and polite. We received a service we expected under the circumstances and with a quick eats organisation such as Nandos. Nice to have a quick and cheap eats next to Brixton Academy.

Membership loyalty card couldn't be added, and only after I complained quite forcefully did the server decide we could indeed move table. Which I would of happily accepted with the cold wind hitting us everytime someone opened the door and left it open until it was pushed closed ever so slowly on its i will not shut quickly hinges. Why is chicken and chips here described as Portuguese For the kids who love a sauce bottle or 3 on the table Very basic take away food on a plate Given the place a hard review, but staff are good here so big up for them at least, and if you have teenage kids leave them at the door and run ,wait for them to call you to be picked up. Leave them in there rooms for 2 weeks as it's all being filled from the back under strict orders, just in case you want to leave a couple of weeks before term starts .

This is the worst Nandos I've ever been to by a long way. I went twice this week as was working nearby and both times it was clearly understaffed. There were huge queues for the till where one person was serving. He also kept answering phone calls and taking orders on the phone rather than serving customers. The food also took ages and ages to come and once it had arrived was cold and not as described in the menu. I didn't bother complaining, as the previous time I complained about paying for a frozen yogurt and then finding the machine wasn't on, it took ten minutes to find a manager to simply give me a refund. It's a shame as the staff are very nice but clearly no one has a clue what they're doing.

We ate in this restaurant at about 6.30 pm on a week night and found that it was like a zoo. There were people queuing and milling about and nobody seemed to be in charge. Having said that, the 20 minute wait proved to be less than that and we were ushered to our table. That's when it all got a bit confusing and, in the absence of a waiter we took ourselves off to determine what we needed to do to source a drink and some food. Turns out you need to get into another queue to place your order and pay at the counter. We did not know this and whilst it might be blindingly obvious to those that frequent Nando's on a regular basis, we were left out of the loop. Anyway, when the food came (it was very quick) it was lovely and tasty and my wine was a good quality. The loos were a bit grubby.

Gehe gern zu Nando's - das Essen ist (normal) überall gleich gut. Hier bestellten wir am 24.10. gegen 12 Uhr Mittag und warteten. Und warteten. Das ist ungewöhnlich für Nando's. Als 2 Damen, die lange nach uns gekommen waren, ihr Essen erhielten, fragten wir nach. Antwort: Es gibt kein Chicken mehr - in einem Lokal, das eigentlich nur Huhn auf der Karte hat!!!! Wir sahen aber die Hühner in der Küche liegen!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gehe nie mehr dorthin.

This branch of Nandos has really gone down hill. I placed a telephone order two weeks ago. Firstly, the woman who answered the phone to me insisted she couldn't hear a word I was saying and passed the phone to a colleague who explained that she was covering the ear piece. I paced an order for 2 halloumi & mushroom pittas with 3 sides of peri chips. On collecting, we were shocked to find that they had run out of portobello mushrooms do still processed the order at full price! Only 1 portion of chips had peri salt, even though we were charged for 3. The pitta was full of salad and had 2 skinny slices of halloumi.... just appalling really. To be fair to the Nandos group, I did complain and receive a complimentary meal voucher, but I had to supply "evidence" in the way of photos - something not everyone will think to do. My advice is this... if you HAVE to order a takeaway from here, check it before you leave the store, otherwise go to Clapham high street, it's a better branch.

i am absolutely disgusted with the service and attitude of this establishment . This is not the first vist but it is definitely the last the staff are rude had to wait over an hour after a telephone order. when arrived to collect was told it would be another 10 min waited patiently then was very rudely told have to wait another 10 minutes after 65 mins . my family have had problem wrong order given etc would not recommend . It such as shame because i am disabled and there not a lot of decent restaurant that you can go and sit down properly and eat in brixton.

The food is pretty decent, the prices are reasonable and the servers are very friendly: but, and there is always a but, even though when we went into the restaurant it was quite empty, the service was sooooooo slow.Food aside, service aside, it is a Nando. You know what you are getting and on that front it delivers.

From the moment we walked in to this Nando's the staff were surly and rude. The "host" managed to show us to our table without saying a single word. The food took ages to come and when it arrived it was dropped on the table unceremoniously. The restaurant itself was an absolute tip and looked like it hadn't been swept in weeks. On top of this, I'm pretty sure both my friend and I got food poisoning as we were both very ill in the evening. Give it a miss and go to the pop up down the road instead.

What can be said it's Nandos so the food is the same, in this case it was very nice. I live in brixton so the time to go varies depending on the events outside the brixton o2. The service was good friendly and polite. It takes a bit of time to wait for the food but was all round very good service. It wasn't the fastest service but the workers were very nice and the food was good.

I am currently in Brixton Nandos. I have been here an hour and haven't even gotten my food yet. Despite this, I can still rate my experience 1/5, simply because of how poor the staff are. The 'host' (who i think is a security guard) had no people skills, and he walked us around the whole restaurant before offering us a table that hadn't been cleaned. The surrounding tables are full of left half chewed chicken. As a result, we are sitting amongst many flies. We were then given someone else's order. I will never eat here again, even if this is could be the nicest nandos I have ever eaten. Unfortunately I haven't been served my food yet.

Well Nando's is Nando's right?You get the same everywhere you go. This review to show my disappointment with this particular branch where I went for a take away. So I ordered and I was waiting for my meal. Then I decided to take a bit of sauce into a plastic fountained that is provided by Nandos. They didn't have the sauce I wanted on the take away counter. So I went to a table nearby which had no one in there and got the sauce and started to fill my little container provided by Nando's. I thought I was fine till I had the security guy Coming to me and say that I was not allowed to take the sauce as the take away sauces were in the counter on the corner. I explained that they didn't have the sauce I wanted on display that is the reason I went to get elsewhere. Anyway, I felt so annoyed and dos not understand his reason. He did not explained and I ended up leaving without my sauce. I was very disappointed. Especially because I was not explained the reasons and had to leave workout sauce. It was the first time I ordered take away at Nandos. So maybe I was not aware of that rule. Anyway, it one of the branches I will never go back.

I am a regular customer of Nando's, I love their Portuguese food as it suits with my kind of favourite food. I normally go to eat there two times a week. Nowadays I can definitely say that they're definitely getting worst and I'll list the reasons why I am writing all this. I normally go to Brixton branch as I live down the road and it's just 5 minutes away from my house. I have to say that the last three time I've been in there I have been treated not as nice as they used to. The last three visit have been awful. I used to bring groups in that restaurant such as work mates, friends and my lady, to show them how nice your food is.First of all on February 13th I came to have lunch with a friend of mine. We sat and the restaurant was nearly empty. We have been waiting for our food for 1 hour and ten minute but this is not a problem as we were not in the rush, but considering that they have served 6 people that came after us, I don't know if that's right. However, after that we have got our food and apologies by the blond waitress. The food was wrong. My friend ordered a half chicken hot spicy, I ordered a quarter chicken ( Breast ) extra hot. Well we have got quarter chicken incredibly dry which was supposed to be mine and half chicken medium herbs. After we figured out that the food was wrong, we tried to talk to the manager ( Carlos ) which was nice to us and he apologised about the inconvenience. We got replacement, that was nice of him. However the food we had was good.On february 27th I went on my own. There were two guys on the till.Queue was really long and I understand the fact that they were really busy. Well after I've been on the queue for 45 minutes and after I've got at the Till, I've figured out that those two guys were on training. ( reason why I've been waiting that long ) but this not a problem, like I said I understand it was busy. Once I've started talking to that cashier, and tried to order my food, I've also found out that that girl was on training and not able to serve customers yet. I ordered my food and at the end I've tried to use my Nando's card to get my reward. She said: I am really sorry but I'm not able to do this yet as I'm on training. And I answered saying: ok, that's fine, can I please talk to the person who's in charge? She was afraid about it and hence I said: I will not say anything about you, but I have to use my Nando's card and I would like to talk to anybody who's able to do this job. Well after I've been waiting again for 10 minutes, the manager ( Carlos ) came along to the till not even saying HI or HELLO or HOW ARE YOU or WHAT HAPPENED, he just said : do you wanna use your card? And I kindly said : yes I would like to if somebody could help that girl with this. After that I have asked : what can I get with these chillies ? As I didn't even know how the card works because that was the first time I was going to use it. He rudely answered : you can't get what you want. And I was like: could you please explain to me how it works? And he said : i don't know if you know how to use the card. Anyway at the end he's got really angry at me in front of other people raising his voice and he made me leaving the restaurant with no food and after I waited 45 minutes behind other customers. I told him: you've just lost a customer because of your rude way to talk to people. He answered saying: I don't care, if you wanna leave the door is behind you. This is just disgusting. After I'm not supposed not even to pass through that street, I gave them another chance on March 2nd.I rang them up around 10:30 pm to order take away food and the waiter was really nice via phone.Well once I've got there nobody was inside the restaurant as they were about to close up. Everybody was just messing around. Nobody was at the till. And I have been waiting for 30 minutes to get my food. After the food was ready a girl came across the till saying, the total due to pay is £19,85As I ordered 5 chicken wings and a wrap. I asked again if I could use my card.Well, she said I am sorry but the till is not working properly today. At the end I didn't use my card again and I've asked to throw it away as there's no point to keep it because every time I go here something happens. Although this was my last time at Nando's restaurant. I will never go back again and I recommend not to go in that restaurant as service, customer service, food, receptionists, waitresses and waiters, cashiers, manager are simply awful and not well educated. And I think you should change your entire staff. Since the management has changed, everything's got worst and I think for a kind of business like that you always should get the best staff. Definitely not the staff you have. Kitchen and floor.

On Thursday night before heading over to see Bring Me The Horizon at Electric Brixton, then chap and I popped into Nando's for a quick dinner, and I am actually so disgusted at the service we received that I feel a blog post is needed! I rarely post negative things but this got to me so much that I just had to share!On arrival, the queue was to the door despite there being a vast amount of tables. This is a bit of a pet hate of mine, why leave people who want to pay outside; there's the chance people will give up waiting and as a restaurant money will be lost! After being seated we order right away; the server behind the till asked us at least four times for our table number, and for my Nando's Card which then wouldn't work and all I wanted was to to redeem my free starter, but finally after 10 minutes of trying to get our order right we finally paid. I was already pretty annoyed at the point, the server wasn't listening and had terrible customer service skills.We filled our glasses, went to grab some cutlery and alas, there were minimal sauces available for use, in fact there was no ketchup at all. 'SHOCK HORROR!' I hear you shout, I know, I know, we did manage to get some from a different table whilst we were waiting, but, after half an hour of waiting for my Red Pepper Dip and noticing that ALL tables that had arrived after us had been served I alerted a trainee waiter to our now mega hungry situation in which he replied with 'I dunno where your food is' with serious attitude. I'm not sure about you, but surely the best reply would of been 'Let me go and check where your food is! Sorry for the wait.'After then chasing the food again which had taken us to 45mins after paying, which meant I was realyl hangry by then they finally asked for our receipt. I then watched them put this on the rack with all the other reciepts to cook our food. There was no apology, so by this point I asked to see management as we were now late for our gig.Funnily enough they delivered food to our table within seconds of asking for management but our starter dip was missing and when the chap asked the same trainee waiter where our starter was, he responded with 'Well what do you want me to do about it?! Nando's are you even teaching your staff customer service in this branch?! I'd expect a response like 'Sorry, I shall go and find out where this is for you now.' There were zero manners from this member of staff all evening which I find quite beyond me!At this point we had more than enough, it was now an hour after paying so we requested a refund, we didn't want the food they rushed onto a plate as we had a band to see, and food was missing. I just wanted to leave as the restaurant didn't smell particularly pleasant either, it was filled with screaming children and the restaurant wasn't even busy, so why an earth were the staff delivering a service that was so below what was expected?The server then refunded us in cash when we paid on my card, my pocket was filled with change and I was still hungry. They weren't able to refund the chillies from the Red Pepper Dip so we were offered a voucher in return to only be used at Brixton and we WON'T be returning there.I've never eaten in a place where the staff had foul manners and this was, by far, the worst customer I have ever received. There was no apology from any of the staff and they didn't seemed phased in the slightest that we wanted a refund and to leave. I mean if I were a manager of a branch I'd be doing all I could to stop people from leaving and to ensure the customers were happy in my restaurant!

We hadn't booked a table and was told the wait would be approx 15 minutes, which was ok. However, there is no where to wait but to just hang around by the door. We got ourselves a drink whilst we were waiting and were served by the most miserable sour faced person I have ever seen, clearly did not like her job and had no customer service skills at all. Her attitude was so appalling that it was actually funny. Our table was ready quite quickly, only about 5 - 10 minutes. We placed our order and our food came very quickly and I have to say it was delicious and piping hot. The restaurant was clean and the tables were cleared efficiently. All other staff who dealt with us during our meal were lovely, polite, helpful and friendly. Shame they put the most miserable person at the front of house to take the orders, this why I've given a lover score. One piece of advice. Smile love it wont hurt.

on a very busy night saturday, whilst waiting for a concert at the O2, we thought and were told it would be a half hour wait. nope, not too long at all. ordering took a while as you have to order at the counter. the food took a little while to arrive but when it did, it was quite nice, no real issues aside sisters chicken was on the burnt side of done. I liked it, but it was also a just a tiny touch black, but not as bad as sisters. on the whole it was passable. I enjoyed it, service was ok, I just couldnt rate it very good- I'd say good. note below, where I have scored average, I would have put good ish, not good enough for very good! would go back though.

I have visited many Nando's beforehand, and have always had a pleasant experience without any complaints; unfortunately, Brixton was the exception. When ordering at the till, our server seemed complacent and uninterested. He forgot to give us our glasses for our refillable drinks - usually I would ignore this as it's rather insignificant but this was merely the first in a serious of mistakes. His manner was detached and he did not apologise when we returned for our glasses. Our olives were also forgotten, so we had to go up again for these. Our starters never arrived, and once our mains eventually turned up, they were cold and one dish was completely wrong. My dish was missing avocado and had mayonnaise in it - something I distinctly specified not to have as I cannot eat it. The assistant manager delegated between the blase server and the kitchen staff the best she could, and I would like to make it known that she was both helpful and apologetic. She gave us a free starter on top of those we already ordered and upgraded our garlic bread to a large. These all arrived after our mains and were all cold. The (aforementioned) server removed the extra pieces of garlic bread with his bare hands at the serving hatch by the kitchen and unceremoniously dumped the plate on the table - exactly how he slammed our mains on the table. He did not ask who's main was who's and simply left. Once our new mains were brought to the table we had been waiting for at least 45-50 minutes from when we first sat down. It was not an especially busy night, and the restaurant was, by and large, empty. These mains again, had something missing - only the peri peri salt but by this stage it was becoming something of a farce. Neither of us wanted our mains and had had about enough. I had previously asked for my money back but this was ignored. We received a 'chicken cheque' (I was away from the table when the assistant manager brought it over) for two combo meals and drinks. Despite asking, it can only be used at the Brixton restaurant. Needless to say, neither of us want to return. We were told that as an assistant manager, she was unable to authorise a cheque that could be used in other branches. As it was late and we were fed up with our terrible evening, we left. Upon reflection, I feel that this 'compensation' is unacceptable; inviting us back to the restaurant that provided us with such a terrible dining experience is more than a little insulting. In principle, the service we received does not warrant payment. I cannot express enough just how ridiculous and unenjoyable an evening we had thanks to the staff at Nando's, Brixton.

I went to Nandos in Brixton 11th December for my work Christmas party. It was booked for more then 40 people and this was agreed with Nandos. We provided a list of what everyone would eating two days before. When we arrived it was awfully organised as some people eating at 6pm and some at 8pm. We all arrived at the same time and this was disappointing for those having to wait nearly three hours for their meal and we're not provides with any starter waiting or inconvenience of waiting.Why the booking was accepted if Nandos were unable to provide everybody with their food at the same time? There was some people's food which was cold when received.

I came to Brixton this evening with my partner, normally we have pizza in franco manca, but this time we decided to change a bit. I visited Nandos...oh my god!! The worse experience ever...rubbish service. It wasn't even busy, they took quite while to get us a table because there was no one paying attention at the entry, the security guy said that if we want a table we have to wait someone come to help us, i hadn't see any effort from him to call a colleague as he stayed stand there watching us....the food was alright, but took long as well to be ordered and delivered at the table. Very disappointed.....

I visited this branch on Sunday 27th Sept for my birthday with my family (a group of 15). We'd all been to Nando's before, so sat down, had a little chat as people were settling in then decided to order. As there was so many of us, we decided to order 4 platters then a few orders extras along with it. Well... nothing came at the same time, food arrived cold, sides had been forgotten about and the staff were extremely rude (made it seem like we were putting them out by asking for the side that we'd ordered).We should have seen warning signs when we were sat at a dark, dank booth table with torn upholstery (seriously, the pillow fluff falling out of the chair), a dirty table with an old rotten chip in the corner. Not a great experience and have't returned since!!

This Nando's, as far as food and service go, is my favorite in London. I don't know what they do differently, but the chicken is always superior and I've never had to wait long for either take-out or eat-in. The lines can get a little long, but it's worth it.

First impression of Brixton Nando's from the outside was it looked tatty. There were a few tables out the front with litter and dead leaves blowing about. Inside was better but still looked a bit grubby and generally felt a bit 'sticky' everywhere. Being new to Nando's I was not aware that they offer a different service to other restaurants. By 'different' I mean that they don't really give you any service. In this particular case the tiny bit of service was really poor. We visited on a Saturday afternoon about 4pm. Not a big group, just eight adults and three children in total. When we arrived there was no table reserved (we had reserved one) and a staff member told to 'sit where we wanted' before walking off. So we pulled a few of tables together and sat down. We were waiting for the rest of the people to arrive but wanted drinks while waiting to order. Now this is 'normal' for Nando's so I am not sure if it is fair to class this as poor/terrible service but it really annoyed me. At Nando's you have to leave your table, walk back to the entrance, queue at a till, order for yourselves and pay in advance. So I went over to order and was told (with a sigh) I needed a table number even just to order (and pour yourself) a drink, so walked back to the table and back to the till again. The order for two drinks was taken by a monosyllabic tired looking staff member and I went to pour myself two cokes. The unlimited free soft drinks (for £2.50 each) is a nice touch, just a shame there is not water or something healthier available on the same terms. The issue with ordering separately also means (partly due to queuing at tills) is a group all getting their food at different times. That goes a long way to ruining a meal and not making me want to go back. Food is brought to your table but you need to go get your own cutlery, napkins and sauces. Nothing was cleared away until we had all finished (some much later than others) so we sat with plates of bones and other food on the table for ages. During our time the place was never over half full and there was always plenty of staff milling about. I ordered the 'Churrasco Thigh Burger' for £8.95 (including one regular side - chips in my case) which was okay. It was just about warm enough to be edible when served, but very dry and chewy. Everyone in our party thought the food was just a bit 'meh' rather than actually good/bad. Our experience was not unique as I saw several other parties complain about their food during the afternoon. The burger and unlimited coke cost £11.45 which is not bad for 'convenience' food really. But I could have got a chicken burger of at least equal quality in a Wetherspoons for near half that price and had much more cheerful service.The 'Nando's' way of serving food is the reason this review is given a poor score. If not for that I would have given average. So if you are happy paying restaurant prices but getting fast food levels of service then don't let this review put you off But...If you are coming to Brixton there are LOADS better, friendlier and cheaper places to eat chicken (or anything) in town.

We visited Nando's Brixton on the evening of Monday 30th March 2015, this was my first experience of Nando's. Can't fault it at all, we were greeted at the door and shown to a table, food was served very quickly and was lovely, if there was any criticism then it would be that we were not told that we would have to go up and order our food, we sat waiting for a while expecting someone to come and take our order. All in all a very pleasant experience with delicious well priced food.

Standing in line at the Nando's in Brixton is like waiting at a packed airport to flee a country run by a dictatorship. You are going to be waiting a long time in the queue, there will be repeated lies about what is going on, and there are just a handful of tired staff trying to hold things together and maintain a semblance of order and security.And I say this as a fan of Nando's.To its credit, it's popular. But whoever manages that branch woefully underestimates the demand, hence the long queues particularly on evenings at weekends. On my third bad experience there I gave up. This led to the discovery that Chicken Cottage now do grilled peri peri chicken too. Who knew? Their sides aren't as good as at a real Nando's, and connoisseurs will spot a difference in their peri-peri sauces but it's half the price and far quicker and friendlier. So we now opt for "bootleg Nando's" instead.

We were visiting family nearby so popped in here for dinner on a Sunday, Was fine although very busy but we did not have to wait too long to be seated. Originally were put by the door but cold as constantly open so managed to move to the back of the restaurant.Quite noisy in here so dont expect a quiet relaxed place.Usual Nando's style, order your food at the till point and then is brought to you once cooked.We had a range of chickens fro hot to mild, but even the hot is not really hot for some...Salad was good and fries.Kids loved the free drinks refills - help yourself.The place could do with a good clean up and a lick of paint as looks like needs refreshing.There was some trouble from a few woman on tables close by when one started on about the others crying baby but thankfully the situation diffused quickly as it is not really what you want to hear when out with family and young kids.Bouncers on the door, so sure should be safe!!!!!Good location if want the Brixton Academy as opposite!!Nothing special but did the job.Sure there are much nicer located and cleaner Nando's.

My friend and I went to the Wharf, for lunch yesterday. It was a terrible experience. We ordered fish and chips, and steak and chips. The steak arrived first, and sat on the counter by the till as both waiters struggled to identify who the dish should go to. To put this into context, there were three occupied tables, including us. When they worked out it was for my friend it was brought over. We queried if it was still hot, the waiter responded with annoyance saying that of course it was. We countered saying we had watched it sit on the side. He said, ‘yeah, for less than a minute’. On we ploughed. We said ‘well, we’ve looking at it for 5 minutes, on the counter over there’. His response? ‘No you haven’t’. I then asked him to not argue with me. His response? ‘I’m not arguing’. Oh the irony. My friend asked for it to be taken back, and he grudgingly agreed. The same bit of meat returned 5 minutes later, and the only change was it was 5 minutes colder. She asked for another steak freshly cooked. My meal then arrived, which I ate alone. My friend’s meal arrived 15 minutes later, and it was finally hot and she ate it. However, she has texted me this morning that she started vomiting overnight. Have I mentioned the surly waitress who ignored me, then rolled her eyes repeatedly when I asked for condiments? Yeah, not a winning team. I suggest you don’t go there when there are loads of other options along the South Bank.
