Nando's in Ipswich

It was a really nice Nandos. The atmosphere was amazing. The staff was great with our two young children. The food was delicious and fast. We had an overall great experience and will definitely come back

Tia gave us excellent customer service as always. Especially today as there was a very difficult customer and he handled this situation so well. He still attended to us and other customers. Our favourite Nando’s !

Food was fine - but a certain staff member was incredibly rude. No greeting at the door, just ‘food is a 30 minute wait’, no hello or anything! Felt as if he just wanted to turn us away. Was also served by same staff member at the till - again, rude, blunt, no hello. I understand it can be stressful when a restaurant is busy but I don’t believe staff should be rude because of this. It’s a shame, because my food was lovely and everyone else seemed pleasant and polite.

Went to Nandos Cardinal park ipswich last night with a friend Ordered our food from table, so much quicker than queuing. Food arrived within 15 mins. Was tasty, presented well and hot. Great service from the team Young lad Tyo bought our food, very friendly and polite.

OK, standard Nandos .Forgot dessert order and ice machine not working so water was warm.

Talk about being forgotten had to ask for the food 3 times, always missing something, young staff more worried about chatting to their mates than doing their jobs.

Didn't have the chicken livers, the only reason I like to visit nando's

Very disappointed, big black hair on the halloumi sticks, took it back to the manager and not even an apology. They then forgot about the replacement for these and I had to ask again. The staff seemed disinterested.

Went in at a busy time so everyone was swamped, but still were kind and friendly. The food was up to the usual great standard

Friendly and happy vibe at this Nando’s - best food I’ve had at a Nando’s and I have been to many round the country. Nicole the manager was brilliant - great service and yummy chicken!

Delicious slow cooked, roasted chicken. You choose the sauce you like from mild to hot, hot, hot. I love their chicken.

Worst Nando’s I have ever eaten ate! The restaurant & toilets were dirty, the silverware was dirty, the chicken came out half warm and we ordered a couple of sweet potato wedges that were half cooked.

Went in for collection and they forgot my garlic bread, not the first time this has happened I recommend just going to the euro retail park if you’re in Ipswich and want a Nando’s.

Had this delivered I never tasted anything so disgusting the gravy pot was half full very cold Mac cheese tasteless chips where freezing cold for the money you pay expect better food for that price absolutely disgusting Nando’s have gone down hill big time

Staff very unprofessional, very loud. Only one out of 8-9. Was proactive and a really nice guy, he was working alone … poor man. The other ones did not care, he did the whole front good area alone, tables and chair. Then he moved inside he start swiping the floor and clean tables. He was a 10 out of 10. If anyone see this reviews … make that guy a SUPERVISOR, if you want your business to get on the A game. GOD BLESS HIM. Rest of you guys need to care more about your customers… we paying your wages lads and lasses. Ps. Stop eating food that you can’t serve, specially in from of your clients.

Great experience being served by Will yesterday evening. Right from the second we walked in the door we were greeted in a friendly and efficient manner. We eat at Nando’s fairly regularly and the food happened to be particularly good this time, so I imagine Will’s bubbly persona and witty humour had a great deal to do with this:)

Arrived an hour before closing on a Wednesday night only to be told that they have run out of food and couldn’t serve me. I guess the team wanted an early night.

When ordering delivery through the app there should be an option to choose what type of 1/4 chicken you want. As of now it's random. Sometimes it's breast and sometimes it's leg piece. I prefer leg piece but I cannot mention this anywhere as there is no option when selecting the chicken nor there is an "order notes" section at the checkout.

Rude customer service. One of the waiters saw me but carried on taking orders out. As soon as another couple walked in, she completely ignored me and spoke to them first even though she knew I was first. Very disappointed.

My first visit to this outlet and the service was superb so were the staff.

Lovely food :) always helpful in finding you a table when you have not booked. Just for me personally, i find it a little loud in there when they are busy.

Good Nandos. Long wait before the football, but was kept updated with when my table would be ready. Food came out quickly and was decent.

Half the menu was out of stock. No staff member informed us of this until we went through the app’s menu. We waited 45 minutes for our food, tables who ordered after us were getting theirs before us. So much food was just sitting on the hot plate, staff walking past it, more interested in cleaning tables than serving people their food. When we asked how long our table will be the girl offered a “it’s nearly ready”. Our food was on that hot plate for nearly 10 minutes after that conversation. The wraps I ordered were lukewarm and my broccoli was cold and dried out sitting on the plate. A different staff member, she looked like a supervisor/manager, checked in after 5 minutes, I had eaten one wrap, we were hungry and had a movie showing to get to. I told her my food arrived cold, her response, a shrug and “well you’ve already eaten half of it.” She later returned and asked if I wanted a dessert to go. I declined. She offered no apology or explanation to the awful food and service. The staff were ambling around like zombies, miserable. One girl dropped some cutlery as she returned dishes to the kitchen, she decided that kicking it along the floor was the best option. And my wife found an eye lash in her coleslaw…

Got a good seat and seen to quite quickly, tried the Saka sauce for the first time here too but wasn't for me. Great place and friendly

Not up to Nandos normal standard No chicken on the bone, we had boneless platter instead. Broccoli cold, rice luke warm, chicken breast dry, chips were OK. No one asked how our meal was, sat next to the take away station which was very untidy. Floor and walls dirty. Toilets were clean, but door to kitchen was open and the kitchen was disgusting.

Butterfly chicken is advertised as 2 chicken breasts held together by crispy skin, it isn't, its a single chicken breast, and that's at a push. It would appear they've stolen an infant chick from its mother and cut a single breast into two. The portion sizes are rather amusing, and nowhere near filling. The state of the floor, both in the restaurant, and the kitchen, are atrocious. It looks like somewhere allowed a free range chicken coop to wander through and graze for the weekend. And the kitchen itself is quite disgusting to behold. Adding the tax whilst at the till was a nice touch as well. And having no clean cutlery when needed, that's a very welcome addition too! Overall, this is a ridiculous establishment and I would rather eat from the local trash can than come back here again. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars, and not 1, is because the cider was actually quite nice, and refreshing.. a good thing Nandos doesn't make them themselves or it'd probably be covered in feathers and dirt like the rest of the place.

Can’t go wrong with Nando’s.. 2 issues.. firstly no one greated us when we walked in and secondly we could see our food being left on the hot shelf and i had to go up and ask them to bring it to us.. kitchen staff to busy talking to each other.

Probably the worst Nando’s I’ve ever eaten. Believe me I’ve eaten many across London and the south east I had a salad and two chicken thighs. The skin was anaemic to the point I had to check the chicken was cooked properly and the chicken was just tough and broken and horrible like it had been re-cooked, the croutons that came with the salad was flat like a recycled old pitta bread, that wouldnt cut up or that you had no chance of getting your fork through

Great lunch out at nandos the lovely waitress let us choose our seats, food came and quickly and was fresh. Great atmosphere

Waited 10 minutes for someone to come and seat my family. Instead got ignored and they sat down two people who came after us. Disrespectful.

This Nando’s has a happy atmosphere, the staff make you feel welcome and served me and my daughter with smiles. There was plenty of seating and we didn’t have to queue to go in. The lemon and herb chicken wings had the perfect amount of herb and the lemon added a delicious tangy taste. The corn on the cob tasted divine. The spicy rice was extremely flavoursome and had the right amount of kick. I highly recommend this Nando’s it’s worth every penny!

Great service and lovely food even on a busy night

My girlfriends meal and all of the sidedishes arrived, after 5min I asked where my meal was and 20min later it arrived. By this time my sides were all cold. I asked for some fresh fries so i could eat the whole meal hot and they CHARGED ME for the fresh side. I understand that these things happen with a meal being missed, but to then charge me for a fresh side dish after they forgot the main was terrible customer service. To apologise and bring me fresh sides would have been just fine for me and not too much to ask. Poor.

The chicken was great, but for dessert they literally gave me a frozen brick in a cardboard box. (It was supposed to be cheesecake.)

Went here on a Friday before heading to the cinema. Had to wait 10-15 minutes for a table as it was getting busy (no surprise in a Friday night). Restaurant was clean. Lady at the till helpful and kind. Service was good. Food was good. Nice, easy and tasty meal.

I still think persistently interrupting customers and making them feel uncomfortable which their purchases is extremely rude yea, and stand by it. Food was great though.

Best food ever. Exquisite. Family of five had the best meal ever. Definitely coming here again. Staff are very very helpful and happy. Only issue you have to pay £2:40 for 2hrs. Amazing.

It's a Nandos. A standard Nandos. There's nothing wrong with that, but you get what you expect, nothing more. This one is fine, a bit more bleak than some due to the location, but otherwise fine.

My partner and I came here to have a late lunch, and I must say it was the best Nando’s experience we have ever had! Honestly, all the staff were smiling, so polite, the food tasted perfect, and was well presented, the cutlery was clean. I wish I took names but I honestly left thinking, this was great. Everyone I observed was doing a great job, even friendly banter with customers. It was a lovely atmosphere, and I can’t wait to come back hehe, thank you guys. You are appreciated!

They don’t support the emergency services / fire service without very specific ID. Emma is a lovely manager that the others should learn from. Don’t come here if you’re a blue light worker. Staff wanted to help but managers are appalling.

We were 11 people so have to wait a little bit outside, then they managed to combine two tables together. Quite colder inside because they have turned on the AC in summer. Overall excellent experience. Veg and Non-Veg, both options are good 👍

Ordered through Deliveroo and there were a couple of bits missing so I called Nando’s and spoke to the female manager on shift who couldn’t have been nicer! Re - ordered the food and they delivered a custard tart with a hand written note of an apology! Honestly some of the best customer service I’ve experienced (and I’ve worked in hospitality for 5 years) Thanks guys!

Shockingly awful experience. Food way so dry, tasteless and stale that we could not eat it abd ended up getting mc Donald's on the way home! Waiter staff that served us had no conversation what so ever. (maybe a people person training program is suited to them!) . Family of 5 £100 I wrote to your customer service via fb who were useless and did nothing to compensate for ruining my sons birthday! Do Not eat at nandos! Go macdonalds instead. Less money, more taste

Worst Nandos in UK. Dirty cutlery, very sticky glasses, extremely sticky sauce bottles. Very small portions. Stale garlic bread. Very loud music. I could barely hear the waitress. Certainly dont recommend!

Nando’s is great, this restaurant wasn’t our greatest experience but the food was decent and it could have been an off night. Food took ages to come compared to normal and tables that came in and ordered after us were getting their food before. When it did arrive everything was up to usual standard 👌

Unfortunately nandos delivery service is shocking. They were round the corner from my house and didn’t deliver my order. When I called they said the driver has broken down and they can’t help me they will refund me in 7-10 working days. Don’t bother using this service, this isn’t the first time

One of the dishes ordered was absolutely swimming in peri peri sauce so kuch that the whole wrap just fell apart as soon as it was picked up due to it being soggy, the previous time I ordered here I had the same issue

Nice fresh and hot. But I can't help but say the whole app ordering process take an element of customer services away from the dining experiance.

This is my 2nd Nando's restaurant, first one being Nando's Staines. Overall the experience is same as the Staines one. Service was comparatively quicker here on a weekend lunch. We ordered full platter from sharing platters with whole chicken and 4 regular sides. The whole chicken for 2 people might be bit more for someone like with medium appetite:) Also it comes with 4 regular sides!

I arrived at Nando’s Cardinal Park, full of excitement for the chicken based goodness that I knew awaited me. Little did I know of the horrors I would confront once inside. My friend and I were seated in what appeared to be a quiet restaurant by a polite waitress. ‘Did I have any allergies?’ ‘No’. ‘Had I been to Nando’s before?’ ‘Indeed’. So far so good, dear reader. The classic Nando’s music was getting me in the mood for food and I enjoyed the art on the walls- kudos to Nando’s for their decorative choices. What could be about to go so wrong? The table QR code took me to the Nando’s site and of course I honed straight in to the Fino Pitta. What else would any self respecting connoisseur of peri peri choose? My dining partner also made the same, and excellent, choice. A bottomless drinks, 2 sides and halloumi and I’m all set. I knew chicken heaven would not elude me for much longer. I settled myself in for the short wait that is such an integral part of the Nando’s experience. Bottomless drinks glasses arrived very quickly. Excellent. Thirst somewhat quenched, I eagerly anticipated the food I thought was being tenderly grilled on my behalf. My crucial, fatal, mistake. Around 15 minutes after first ordering, or perhaps a little sooner, the first fino pitta arrived at our table- alas, it was not mine but I knew it would be just behind. My friend eagerly tucked in to his pitta. Who could blame him? I nabbed an obligatory chip and expected my food to be flying to my table imminently. 5 minutes passed. No food. 10 minutes passed. Where could it be? At 25 minutes after the arrival of our first pitta, the waitress, as baffled as I was to the whereabouts of my much longed for pitta, arrived at my table side and informed me she would enquire with the miracle workers in the kitchen as to its location. She promptly returned. ‘It’s next on the list’. A little frustrated, but excited for my first fino mouth full, I settled back into my chair. Another 5 minutes and I could see the takeaway and online orders continue to appear from the kitchen, and yet my pitta remained elusive. By this time, my empty stomach was crying out for chicken satisfaction and yet there was no way I could feed this growing beast. My table mate, pitta complete, was lounging in his chair- sharing my frustration but happy with the dining experience he had just enjoyed. My pitta had not been next on the list. This saddened me. Another 5 minutes and the pitta appeared. The sheer joy. Relief. I was ready. This was it. The moment. Here I go. But wait? What’s this… As I eyed the flag atop my pitta, I noticed a problem. The incorrect spice. Oh dear. My joy shattered, I told the waitress, who promptly returned my pitta to the kitchen. She soon returned, clutching a piece of paper with an order on it. ‘Was this your order?’ It wasn’t, but belonged to my dining colleague. Oh dear, again. It seems the restaurant had lost my ticket. The correct fino appeared roughly 8 minutes later. I bit in. Satisfaction at last. So where do I end this tale of toil? The fino and it’s accompanying sides were indeed delicious, but the wait unfortunately tarnished the experience I had been craving all week. It breaks my heart, but I cannot recommend this Nando’s. If you need your Nando’s fix, and we all do when that feeling strikes, I suggest you choose an alternative location. As I rose from my seat, I did shed a tear. Goodbye Nando’s Cardinal Park- we shall never cross paths again.

The food is very good and the staff very efficient and polite, two weeks ago I ordered from delivero and the driver stole my food, I called the restaurant and they were very understanding and helped me by calling delivero… in 20 minutes I had fresh food at the door, thank you very much ❤️

We really enjoyed our, meal was bought to us fast was delicious one of us had vegetarian food there is a good selection. And was very tasty!! Only one thing was corn on the cob still had alot of the outside layer on it when cooked so, wasn't so great but rest of the meal was amazing very good experience!!

My first time in nandos and while the food and service is OK, it just isn't my thing

It was the worst experience I've had in this place. It took a while to sit us down, once they did, we tried to use the app to place the order. The app kept removing items of the basket which resulted on never having the starters. The food took ages, as it was busy- which I do understand - but no one came and brought us even the glasses so we could help ourselves to the drinks. I had to go and get them myself. The children were getting a bit impatient at this point. Once the food arrived, we were hunting for napkins which we couldn't find anywhere so we had to help ourselves from the take away area. No one has checked on us throughout the whole meal and as soon as we cleared the plates, that's when someone came along to ask if they could clear it. Sorry if I sound harsh but I had better service on even busier nights...

The food is NOT HALAL. I just spoke to Nandos cardinal park and they confirmed their food ISN'T HALAL. Google is incorrectly listing it as a halal restaurant.

Il posto è molto carino, accogliente ed è molto grande. Il personale efficientissimo, rapido e gentile. La modalità di prenotazione tramite telefono può piacere o meno, probabilmente a seconda dell'età, ma la trovo estremamente comoda. Il motivo delle tre stelle è strettamente legato al cibo: la qualità del cibo di Nando's è diminuita, puré e broccoli sembravano "vecchi" e il puré aveva perso la sua cremosità. Il pollo era "ok" ma proprio niente di che, anche la temperatura a cui è stato servito non era quella corretta. Mi spiace dare 3 stelle ma il cibo non mi ha proprio entusiasmato.

You really can’t go wrong with chicken

Service was good and attentive, the large chips were actually large which is a huge PLUS and the Spiced Clementine seasoning is so damn good so recommend for those alone! However, besides the chicken, half their menu was our of stock, despite it being the early afternoon, and those were some of the most dry thighs I've ever eaten in my life. Still tasty though.

First customer of the day, friendly, quick service by Manuela. However, chips were over seasoned with peri peri salt.

Great branch for the franchise. Best chips we've had so far. Highly reccomended.
