The food was good as always but the reason for my low rating is the place was filthy!! I actually felt dirty coming out of there. The floor was covered in dirt and food. The manager was working so not sure why he was stood there and not cleaning the place up, very disappointing. Also the girl that served us was covered in marks on her black outfit the place just seemed filthy! Hope it can get resolved as the food is lovely just let down by the cleanliness. I got a photo of the entrance of all the food on the floor.

Lovely love it here, very busy but staff handled it well! Lovely food as always! Always speedy service. Can’t fault it. Will be back soon!

Never been 8n a nandos restarunt before today as thought it was just fast food ? Well I was wrong the service started with Sophie who was ba brilliant host The food was impeccable The cleanliness was impeccable All the staff after Sophie were fantastic And had a great proffessional approach to their work and treated us with the greatest of respect Reccomend this Restaurant to every sceptic as I was Sometimes it's great ti be wrong THANK U NANDOS Will be back n t week

Late afternoon visit. Nice friendly welcome but that was it. Security guard on site at 17.30. What usually happens in this Nando's to need professional security at that time?! Beer bottle arrived with a dirty glass. It was swiftly changed but there's no excuse. Ordering system via QR code is easy. Food arrived pretty quickly and looked and tasted like little care had been taken in its preparation. Expensive and a poor experience.

We entered the restaurant and had a short wait as it was very busy when we arrived. Maisie greeted us was very friendly throughout all the interactions I saw her have with customers. Colin who I assumed was the manager was within the restaurant ensuring everything was running smoothly and he seated us very quickly despite them being so busy. Food came quickly and was great quality as always. It was nice to see other staff being encouraged to provide excellent service so as to raise the customer satisfaction reflected online by Maisie. I know how hard it is do this managing in a restaurant environment previously and all of the staff in the restaurant that evening were pleasant and attentive to customers

We booked VIA the Phone and it was a good experience, not that fast but it was a Saturday. We arrived and were taken to our table to a very friendly member of staff who explained what to do (We had never been to Nandos recently). We went to order at the till and again was a quick and simple process. The wait was quite long but they do say they cook your chicken fresh for you. When it arrived, the food was good. The portions weren’t massive but weren’t small either, a nice size in between. As we were dining, a very very friendly staff member came over and started chatting to us. We came for a Birthday Meal for my son. He went away and we ordered dessert (Frozen Yogurt). As my son was eating his Frozen Yogurt, the very friendly staff member came over with a free brownie! Now that is Magical customer service Nandos. The staff member on 19th October is a credit to your team. (He said he used to work at DW Sports). We all had a brilliant meal, and it wasn’t too expensive either. Really impressed Nandos, will definitely return.

Esta fue mi primera visita a un Nando's y para ser honesto no tengo ninguna prisa por volver, el restaurante en sí es muy concurrido, pero el personal es haciendo un trabajo excelente, el restaurante estaba muy limpio y el servicio era rápido, pero personalmente la comida no era nada para emocionarse y era caro para lo que te daban, mi butterfly pollo era pequeña y la piel grasosa. Sé Nando's es muy popular, pero esta marca no es para mí

Fui con mi marido y mi hija en nuestra estancia de fin de semana en Carlisle. El personal era amable y acogedor desde el principio, había un retraso en nuestras comidas ya que debido a que necesitan poner mas pollo. Sin embargo, el personal tratado esta en forma amable y eficiente y nos dio los postres gratis para compensar.La comida era adorable, como es normal en todos Nando's, he comimos en un montón de Nando's de todo el país y el personal de aquí es sin duda en mi top tres por simpatía.

Primera vez en cualquier lugar. nando Probablemente sea la última. Unos amigos nos lo recomendaron como una manera de conseguir una comida rápida antes de coger un tren y me gustó el hecho de que usted paga cuando usted orden, así no tienes que colgar alrededor esperando la factura. La mayoría de lo que ofrecen es el pollo, que no estoy muy orgullosa de, así que miré la hamburguesas vegetarianas. Había un bean burger que tuve, pero la verdad es que he tenido mucho mejor, y las salsas, todo parecía un poco picante para mi paladar. Yo no estaba interesado en hacer los postres. Muy típico en mi opinión.

Came to nandos on my own with my nephew, the staff could help anymore, sometime you get the feeling that they do not want children in the resturant. But nandos was very helpful! Also great food! Would recommend anyone to go there with children

Visited for lunch and was not disappointed. I had gluten free butterfly chicke, macho peas and chips. Friend had butterfly chicken burger and chips. We followed with frozen yoghurt. It was busy but the service was excellent and staff very friendly.

I arrived at nanny's on a Friday night after 10pm, we was the only customer's in the restaurant. It was pouring with rain and had just arrived in Carlisle and was looking for somewhere to eat after checking in to our hotel. Nando's was the only place we found that was still open. I have eaten at Nando's plenty of times before so that wasn't an issue at all.You could tell the staff had already started to clean up and wasn't expecting any starving Lancastrian's walking through the door so close to closing time, but they welcomed us in and made us feel very welcome. We ordered and our delicious food was delivered to us very quickly. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food hot and tasty.I would happily eat at this branch of Nando's again.

I just read a review on 3rd oct, scarily similar experience. We eat in at least one Nando's a week for work, usually quick and easy; lots of them and you know what you're getting. This one was shockingly slow; with very little offer of an apology. We stopped on route from Scotland to london so time was of the essence. I'm still baffled as to how the food took 34minutes to get to the table from ordering and there was only one other table in the entire restaurant!!I'm glad they told my colleague that 1/2 chickens had run out and would take 20mins to prepare; so he chose something else. Then the entire meal took longer and he could have just had the 1/2 chicken in the end!!! Food. Same fair as ever.

First time in Nando's and I was impressed until I found it was order at the counter and self service on the soft drinks. Surely fir the cost of chicken they could employ a couple of more staff to serve. Food was good grilled vegetables and the spicy olive starter were very good.Could do a lot better. Decent service prices for little better service than McDonalds.

OK, it's evidently a chain, something like El Pollo Loco in the states, but a sit down eatery. The food was very good, the service was excellent. We ate there twice it was so good.

The most disorganised Nando's ever. As a frequent business traveller, I visit Nando's often whilst working all over the UK. First time at this one and definitely the last time.....Food was left standing for a while on the counter. The queue was busy with just one person serving. I was then told the wait would be half an hour because they were so busy, but the restaurant itself wasn't. Very disappointing, the staff should visit London and see how efficient the branches are run there.

Este Nando es un buen par de veces, y tenemos utilizada para tener que esperar (no porque está ocupado, es usualmente muerto cuando vamos). Esta vez sin embargo, nuestra comida llegó muy rápido, y en realidad era caliente, normalmente te dan la sensación de que hubieran sentado un rato esperando que alguien llegue a meterlo. Todo lo que conseguí fue lo que pedimos - el 99% de los casos hemos tenido cosas que faltan o han dado algo completamente diferente a lo que pedimos. Nada que ver con ellos, pero hay algo en el lado que sabe horrible supergrain, habia olvidado que desde mi última visita y pedimos una vez más, espero recordar para el futuro.Y como siempre (bueno, aparte del tiempo que tenían ninguno izquierda), el choc-pastel mucho era delicioso!

Fue la mejor comida que he probado en un es muy. Me dieron todo a la derecha. El servicio es bueno, la comida llegó rápidamente y fue bien caliente. Me gustaría pensar que mantener esto pero lo dudo ya que es muy aleatorio y cuando nos vamos!

You can't really go wrong with a Nandos. The food is good. The staff are always very friends. We always sit down the bottom away from the door but I still always find it very cold, so take a jacket.

I came here one night in June with two of my friends and their children. It was really busy for a Tuesday night, almost all tables were full. All the food came quite quickly although mine came last even though I ordered first! I had the chicken in a pitta (mango and lime). It was lovely, but I thought it was hotter in spice than usual. I got my meal free as I had a red reward on my Nando’s card. I love the Peri salted chips even if they do give me a raging thirst afterwards! My friend had to send her son’s meal back as it was far to spicy for him. She had ordered lemon and herb which is normally quite mild, but he wouldn’t eat it and said it was spicy. She tried it herself and said it was really spicy. The young guy who dealt with the complaint was very apologetic and said he would have it replaced. My friend requested plain chicken this time which he said wasn’t a problem. When the new chicken pieces arrived they were lemon and herb again which was a mistake but when they were tasted, they tasted as they should have so her son was able to eat them. I think they must have picked up the wrong marinade whilst cooking the first time, as the little flag said lemon and herb, but they were more like medium/hot flavour.

Not liking spicy hot food, we usually avoid these places, but was assured by our younger family that we would be surprised, and had chicken and chips, and took the skin off and enjoyed our meal. Now will not be afraid to go there. Could do tea for us old farts.

We came here for tea a couple of nights ago. The restaurant was quite busy but we didn’t have long to wait for our food. My friend really enjoyed hers, but I didn’t. I should have complained and I’m mad at myself that I didn’t. She was really enjoying hers and I didn’t want to spoil the night, but that’s no excuse, I should have complained, rather than just writing it on here. I had the mango & Lime chicken breast in a burger bun. The chicken breast was not hot, it was almost cold - barely lukewarm. The bun it came in felt really stale. I know what it should be like as this is what I order most times I come to Nandos. I ate it as it was still very tasty but I didn’t really enjoy it. I did enjoy my peri peri chips though, and they were hot so I can’t understand why the rest was not. The food did not taste salty but that night I couldn’t sleep as I had a raging thirst that I just couldn’t quench. I’ll return to this restaurant as it is usually ok (we come quite often) but I’d definitely complain if this happens again.

We were turned away as the manager thought that we were under the influence of alcohol. If he had bothered to check, he would have found out that two of our party have special needs & nobody had been drinking. We won't be back.

It was very busy but we were seated fairly quickly, our table was sticky and a bit wobbly and the booth seating we were sat on had a weird musty smell as though someone had spilt a drink on it and not wiped it up properly. Still, nandos is not the place you go for a relaxing chilled out meal and the food was served quickly and was nice, chips were a bit cold but the rest was excellent.

We often visit with our kids, but thought today was especially good! It was pretty busy when we arrived around 12.20, but we only waited about 15mins for a meal platter with corn, peri peri chips, rice, extra wings and a kids meal of burger with chips and corn. Everything was hot and cooked perfectly; crispy chicken skin, but juicy meat, lovely chips and tasty corn. Friendly helpful service as always.Nandos is a favourite with us, and we'll be back soon :)

You are welcomed by a freindly and welcome smile. This chain is always a good choice whilst out with one fussy teen.The food was as you would expect and the mash was delicious, however I was a little disappointed by my salad which was a little on the sad side of life. The cucumber seemed to be missing it's middle and my sons chips looked to be soggy and greasy. The chicken was succulent and delicious.The floor of the restaraunt could have done with being swept or hovered and cleaned, I found the state of it a little off putting. It isn't what I would call a cheep meal for a family of four, unless you choose a sharing platter.

Booked a large table for a birthday meal with friends and was impressed with the service considering how big the group was. We all really enjoyed our meals as usual, most of us going for the butterfly chicken. Also really enjoyed side orders of chicken wings and humous with pitta bread. Will visit again.

As my audition finished earlier than expected, my mother and I decided to dine at Nando's whilst waiting for our train. Due to it being our first visit to Carlisle, we were not aware of the surrounding eateries within the town centre so therefore we decided to go to Nando's instead of walking 11 minutes to the nearest Mc Donald's. On arrival we were both greeted by a good standard of customer service but when our food was served, my meal was completely wrong including the side in which I had ordered so therefore I had to wait longer meaning my mother and I were eating at slightly different times. Luckily as it was an off peak time, the restaurant was relatively quiet when considering the number of diners so the delay was only minor. Although I wasn't too please on the size of the puny grilled chicken which lay on the Hun which was twice the size. However I did enjoy the atmosphere within the restaurant in addition to the lovely surrounding decor. If it wasn't for Nando's location being so close to the train station, I think I would have rather enjoyed a Mc Donalds which would have been half the price of the bill!!

Staff were friendly enough. However, the chicken was very dry and for what you got it was expensive. KFC down the road might be a better bet next time!

Nandos have the best chicken ever, but if you order in the UK , you have to ask them not to burn it and put extra sauce on or else it might be dry... If you order in South Africa you don't need to say this... And after you eat please have some goose caramel cheese cake -its heaven the best thing in the world

first visit to Nandos and hopefully my last. Has the look and feel of modern contemporary dining with very friendly and helpful staff that though no fault of their own are not sufficiently trained before being unleashed on the public. You are greeted very well and shown to your table where the complex combination of flavours of chicken are explained then just when you think they will take your drinks order you are told to order everything at the counter where they try to upsell every order. You then collect your own cutlery, pour your own drinks and await service. What was not explained was that the different flavours are achieved by squirting a different bottle of sugary sauce over the same chicken. what arrived was a lukewarm dry reheated small piece of chicken in a less than fresh bun, not inedible just uninspiring bland fast-food. its basically being what MacDonald's is trying to be! a triumph of marketing over product. I think however it is worth repeating that all of the front of house staff had a lot of potential so if any of the many decent and similarly priced restaurants in Carlisle are looking to recruit they should go no further.

Quick service, tasty, fair value for a fast food chain,would call again. Friendly happy staff, needed a quick mealand enjoyed the dishes we had.

We came here one night during the week so it was not that busy. We were able to order quickly as there was no queue. Our drinks tasted of nothing as the syrup was running out so it was essentially just colored soda water, but when I queried it the waitress actually changed these for us herself, we didn’t have to get up and do it. There wasn’t that long a wait for food which was surprising as we normally have to wait ages. The food was as tasty as ever. Just before we left I realized I’d been overcharged as I’d ordered the burger deal but the guy on the till had put it though separately. I queried this at the till and I was refunded the difference straight away.

I ordered five wings with rice and corn on the cob before the train ride home. The chicken wings were unusually softer and squidgier than the ones at the Newcastle restaurant. Shortly after boarding the train I got the sudden urge to go pebbledash the toilet. May have been a coincident that the two happened one after the other but I doubt it! I would will give the place a wide birth in future.

We visited this Nando's for the first time, whilst in the area. The food was good quality and the service was friendly and efficient.

Delicious food in a fantastic location. Conveniently close to the centre of Carlisle and to Carlisle train station. A bright, airy atmosphere thanks to the panoramic windows. I have been to this restaurant several times, and whether it's been a simple meal for two or a party for 15, we have never had an issue with booking, food or service (as a matter of fact, I am always suprised at just how quickly the food arrives)!

The usual nandos overpriced and under portioned food, I keep being talked into going back now and again and it always disappoints unfortunately

Visited for early evening meal on Monday, not too busy at tables queue at till possibly take aways. Waited a long time, but chicken was nicely cooked and enjoyed it. We had thighs lemon and mango, med peri piri wings, chicken burger, half chicken, all very nice. They were out of cloudy lemonade, the sprite was watery and the coke came out sporadically in bursts maybe the machine needs attention. The staff were pleasant. The table was sticky. The air conditioning in window seat was so high I was cold.

Amazing food as always. Great atmosphere and excellent service, although sometimes to eager!!! Great value for money and always an excellent night out

We went to Nandos with our 2 kids as a treat after shopping for school clothes. Husband waited ages to have his order taken after waiting in a long queue with only one person taking the food orders.When the food arrived it was dried up and overcooked, my son and I ordered the butterfly chicken with chips and the portions were very small. My husband had the same but with rice and this was clearly boil in the bag as it was all stuck together and unpleasant.Our little girl could not eat her chicken, and barely touched her meal. This all cost nearly £50. There are far better places to eat in Carlisle, with better value for money, I'd advise people to go elsewhere. This was our first, and last time here.

Visited Nando's in Carlisle on a Saturday evening with six friends. The staff were friendly and attentive we were shown to our table and our orders taken. Our food arrived and it immediately became clear that you don't get much for your money in Nando's. A couple of bits of chicken in a bun and few chips and a corn on the cob this cost me more than £10. The food was of a very ordinary standard and the portions were very poor. There are other places to eat more reasonably priced and providing better food than Nando's. I can't find a reason to return to this chain of fast food restaurants, in conclusion a poor and expensive experience.

I decided to go for a night out with the lads, we slipped into our Nike huaraches and stepped out of the door. we arrived at The restaurant and Darren asked if anyone wants a meal cos he will pay, we all said that he was a ledge and we walked in. 5 minutes later we got our cheeky chicken wraps with the extra hot sauce. Sadly Adam slipped and dropped his food all over my fresh new kicks. I was very annoyed and i kicked a 4 yr old right in the face cos i was that Angry 1/10

Finally visited here after being pestered by friends... An sadly wish I hadn't bothered.... Prices ridiculous for what you get...small chicken breast.. Coleslaw looked and tasted like cheap branded supermarket rubbish... disappointed in service as food took an eternity too arrive at table and not even busy...Then looked an tasted awful when it did arrive...hence never too return here again

Not really my idea of a restaurant: limited menu (and pricey for what it is) and quite a do-it-yourself atmosphere - however the kids absolutely love it, not least for the bottomless drinks, the ice machine, and the ability to make your chicken almost unbearably hot with extra sauces... So I wouldn't recommend it for an adult night out, but if you have a bundle of kids it is a good place to go: they find it vastly entertaining and do eat all the food - if only to show they're not chicken...

We couldn't have been made more welcome.Thought we would choose Nando's for Lucy's 18th.I arrived half an hour early with one of my daughters to set up the party table. The staff where great and helpful even finding some extra Birthday Banners that we could use. They were more than happy that we bought birthday cupcakes,they even displayed them and bought them to the table with candles after our meal.The meal. MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmI think over the whole party table we had the whole menu. We couldn't fault the service,the food, the atmosphere.Well done. We will be returning soon.

We called fo a quick evening meal on a Wednesday evening. We were welcomed on arrival but when we tried to order, three selections (burgers, wraps and pittas) were not available. Having changed our selection to meet the availability the food was prepared quickly and a was of acceptable quality. Disappointing that they did not have their menu selections available at 7:30pm on a Wednesday evening,

The staff were wonderfully helpful and enthusiastic. Relaxed and excellent service. I would definitely visit again.

The food was very good, and the service was decent, however i thought it was very overpriced especially considering you have to order at the counter and collect your own condiments and cutlery, it made it feel like eating in 'Spoons rather than eating in a restaurant.

My kids and there partners enjoy this Cain ,thought I would give it a go .tried wings with hot sauce ,if chicken was meant to be that hot they would lay hard boiled eggs ! Breast of chicken in rap with salard good with nice coleslaw ,rubbish frozen chips .nic staff busy place so must appeal ,just fast food to me ,well fast chicken

I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are like but me and the girlfriend had never been before and it was brilliant. Nice comfortable place and the food was great and so were the staff. Fairly good choice of food considering it's a chicken restaurant

Big Nandos fan- eat here regularly and have only ever had one problem which was resolved very quickly. Food is great, staff are friendly and you don't have to wait too long- would definitely recommend!

Visited here with my gf and thought it was utter crap the chicken burger I ordered was dry as a boot and the spicy rice was something that you get a packet of bachelors savory rice you can get at the spar for 39p will not visit again and will not recommend to a friend wouldn't waste your money theres plenty of other really nice restaurants in the town than this Pittiful chain

We came here for a meal on a week night. It was packed, hardly a table spare - it is usually empty! We did not have to wait long for our food for a change. The food was good, it was warm but not piping hot, but this seems to be the norm. The service was good. The only problem was the butter portion for my corn had melted and turned to liquid so when I picked it up it pretty much exploded! Luckily it didn't go on my clothes, just all over the plate. The guy did offer to get me some more, but I wasn't bothered. We also could have just walked out without paying for our desserts as they never brought the bill. We had to ask for it at the counter and pay at the same time.

We ate here last Wednesday evening and the service and food was mediocre to say the least. Not a great deal of atmosphere and I had the most tasteless piece of steak I have ever had. Last visit to a Nandos I'm afraid

We came here for lunch one Tuesday. I ordered my usual lemon & herb chicken breast in a bun and corn on the cob. We didn’t have too long to wait for our food. It wasn’t piping hot when it arrived but it was hot enough. When our puddings arrived I had to ask for cream even though it says it comes with cream on the menu. We keep going back as the food is so tasty.

First time in Nando's and was pleasantly surprised. A different dinning experience where you order your food, get your own cutlery. Felt like I was on holiday. It's quick healthy fast food in a really nice spot in Carlisle. I'll certainly be trying more Nandos!

What a wonderful experience. We visited last night, our first time to a Nando'sWe were greeted by a smile and got to choose where we wanted to sit, the manager, Simon, explained how the whole ordering process went.we went up and Christina (I think that was her name) took our order and went through the strengths of the sauces.You can see your order being cooked, all fresh ingredients and all cooked to order.I had a chicken wrap with medium sauce, delicious. My hubby had a half chicken with the hot sauce,which he loved. Simon even came over and asked if he wanted to try the extra hot sauce. Which he did. We ordered 4 sides, coleslaw which was really creamy, chip that where nice fresh and crispy with some Nando's spices in a separate pot, garlic bread that wasn't over toasted and lovely and tasty, the best was the Macho Nando's peas. Who could have thought peas could be so tasty.The service was excellent and all the staff look like they really enjoy their work.the restaurant was clean and tidy and has. Lovely atmosphere. I loved the music and couldn't stop tapping my feet.I can't recommend this place enough. felt like we had been on holiday.Thanks you xxxx

We ate here for our sons 7th birthday and though the sauces are as expected we ordered a and I quote "a full chicken" for us to share. What arrived was 4 chicken thighs. I'm just wondering where they breed these 4 legged chickens? It comes as no great surprise that it's the cheapest cut of chicken per pound. At £20 for the dish you would expect better, I was looking forward to a leg, and my partner was looking forward to a breast. Our son however passed the time trying to draw a 4 legged chicken. Safe to assume it's my last nandos experience.

Three of us had a great lunch today. Medium spiced chicken, fries and macho peas. Brilliant food and excellent service. The best Nando's vid been in and I've been in a lot!!!!

Mrs Palminator and I have been here a couple of times now, and each time it has been fantastic!Pleasant staff, pleasant atmosphere, and amazing food!!As with all Nando;s, the only thing I would criticize is the prices, I just feel you don't get that much for the money you pay.But everything else is flawless!!We will be back!!

Visited here on a Sunday evening the place was full had to wait for a table for 5 minutes.....staff were good did not have to wait long for food which was really good.

I recently dined at Nandos in Carlisle.. What a fantastic experience... Customer service was top drawer.. It was my first time dining at this particular branch and I was unsure of the menu.. The cashier gave me a run through and was extremely helpful.. Good arrived In good time and tasted amazing.. I will be back

First ever visit to a nandos and will be my last. Shown to a table and told:"order at the till".that was it. No help with the menu which made no sense at all and didn't explain how or what to order. Then after we placed and paid for our order we sat back down. 6 or 7 people came in for a takeaway and all were stood by our table waiting to be served making it uncomfortable. People standing over you while you eat. Then once they cleared out an extremely drunk girl came in falling about the place (nearly) onto our table ordered takeaway then for next 20 minutes abused staff and staggered up and down past our table. At no point did a member of management intervene or do anything. Some of the staff were getting very intimidated. Food value is poor and it is basically chicken with a spice chucked on. Avoid this place. I won't be going back.

Second time eating here in nandos Carlisle, staff friendly and fast service. Chicken cooked to perfection and just live the cujun salt for the chips deffo be back and get we can get take away bags if ordered too much food

Girlie shopping day and lunch at Nando's. Brilliant service and excellent food. Had the meal for two, macho peas and fries. Absolutely fabulous, hot, tasty and perfect. Gluten free and new allergy book about now. Would like gluten free pita for starter one day!!!!

Simple selections of non-standard British fare, flavors from places that actually use spices. Nothing special in the atmosphere, just a good place for a quick lunch.

Love Nando's but they have changed the menu!! I did not realise until I got to the till to order. No more meal platters with bottomless drinks. Ordered a whole chicken which came with four sides, two bottomless drinks and it was nearly £25 and opposed to the old meal platter for about £18. We couldn't eat four sides so wasted quite a lot! Quality of food still as good and service quick and easy.

We have visited on a number of times as a family, and we have sampled a number of offerings from the menu...which are variations on chicken, chilli, and chips!As a chain the food is standard and at least it's hot, the portions are on the smallish side, and expensive for what you receive. The restaurant was grubby and the staff were grumpy!

Told to avoid this by my mate Nosher & I shoudl have listened.Since when did you have to order at a counter in a restuarant and collect your own cutlery?The gact that they cook chicken livers by time not to a grade (I asked for them underdone) should have warned me. The enemies Chicken ceasar was poor, the chicken was dry & tasteless & teh Cos lettuce still had stalks on.I guess its one for the younger trendy types

I've been to nandos for the third time now and I always enjoy my visit, the staff are friendly and the food is reasonable and nice!

My partners son wanted to go to Nandos to say he'd been. He really enjoyed it, and tried many different piri piri sauces. The food wasn't bad for a chain, although the one complaint I did have was that although we could see our food sitting on the hot plate waiting to be delivered, it was a good 5 minutes before it was served. Liked that you could get your refill of any soft drinks.

Hey this eaterie is a little different?Good spicey hot food,mainly chicken but done well!Good choice of heat levels,menu is adequate,soft drinks are as much as you want!Service is attentive,pleasant and efficient.It is a fast food environment but nice little touches are delightfulBowls of garlic/ chilli pepper and olives available and the choices of `heat degree`on the sauces is a nice touch.Good selection of beers and wines.Good place to eat prior to a night in town.

One of the best meals in a Nando's. The restaurant was fairly busy but the service was quick and the staff very pleasant. Meal deal bought and the chicken was divine, the macho peas excellent and the fries hot, crispy and not greasy. Really a brilliant lunch.

Been a few times to this Nandos before,and many others in the UK.What I wonder why they want to have less customers and sell less.When we went nobody was waiting for table or food but they made us to wait for 10 minute for a table and 30 minutes for main course and they insisted to show that will take as long as they said while they have been doing nothing!!!I think they need to reconsider their staffing seriously if they want to stay open.Will I go back,no unless I have to!!!

We went to Nando's as a family & i wasn't that impressed by the food! The staff were friendly & efficient but the food was Luke Warm & the table could of done with a wipe down.

I'd never been to Nando's before this one popped up in Carlisle, and a few of us decided to go and investigate. The service is great, the staff are always friendly and smiley and the food is amazing. We've been known to go to Carlisle simply to go to Nando's! I would recommend coming here because, even having changed my meal choice multiple times, every meal has been a treat!

I may be a slightly bias as I love Nandos food, but this restaurant was great. Very clean all round, Service was fantastic and the food was brilliant as usual. No faults here!

This was our second visit to this restaurant. We were on a weekend away visiting family. We had enjoyed it before hence our return visit. We had two platters, which gives you half a chicken apiece with two side dishes. There were bottomless soft drinks included. The platters were £20 each (£10 a head). The meals were quick to arrive and good sized portions. You are able to choose the seasoning for your chicken and there are various Nando's sauces also. The food was tasty and well cooked. The atmosphere was good for a Saturday night. We had to complain because the portion of chips was tiny but this was quickly resolved. The menu is good with Spanish style dishes as well as the chicken.

The first pleasant surprise was that the menu had some Portuguese items, such as Pasteis Nata & Vinho Verde. All the staff on this night were attentive, friendly & competent. The food was served quickly & was very good - I had Butterflied Chicken Breast, Luso Beans & a Salad. There was a small problem, in that the wine I received was not Vinho Verde as ordered but I received a complementary glass when I mentioned this, although I had happily finished off the first glass. The restaurant on this occasion was not busy but had a steady stream of customers & I observed the staff checking various tables, including mine, to see that everything was satisfactory.

Had the misfortune of meeting my mother here one Saturday evening. It was chaos - full of teenager underagers intending to spend the night in nandos. Not my idea of a fun night out. Staff simply could not cope and were absolutely unhelpful. Avoid at all costs!

We've been here a few times and its always a bit hit and miss. This time it was miss. We waited almost half an hour for our food which we saw sat on the pass for at least 5 minutes before it came to us. Food wasn't very hot when it arrived but we'd waited so long we didn't want to send it back and wait again so we ate it. Even though it wasn't too hot, it still tasted very good. It wasn't busy at all and there were plenty of staff so I don't know why there was such a long wait. We heard other people complaing about the wait also, and noticed people after us were getting there food before us. We were not offered an apology about the wait even though the table behind us got one and they were given there food before us even though we had been there longer!

Visited Carlisle and my daughter always wants Nandos!Visited early ( 4.30pm) , staff were friendly and helpful. Food was served promptly and was very tasty.Good value, however you accept that you have to choose your own sauces, forks and serve your own drinks.... This is NOT a bad thing!!!!A nice resturant!!

Ate here for the second time as my teenage son wanted a nando's. First impresion was poor, shown to a sticky table, then just left to try and figure stuff out. When ordering we were given no assistance even though we were obviously new to nandos. We orded a share platter for two which was the best value for money. We also got a butterfly chicken, one double burger and one burger (plain). We asked for all medium, but all were too spicy and the plain chicken burger was served in sauce we never asked for. My youngest couldn't eat his plain burger. Sides are too small, but chicken is ok. Overall we just felt, the staff were just going through the motions and for the prices charged, they should be more interested in customer feedback at the end of the meal and not two minutes after it has been served.

Firstly. Why do they have a tip jar? You have to leave your table to go order at a till, pay for your meal before eating it, get your own cutlery, condiments etc, then get your own drinks. The only thing the waitress does is bring your half full plate of food over.. yes the chicken is cooked well. But how difficult is chicken to cook? Pretty much all the flavours of the foods cooked is taken away by the sauce that is slavered all over it anyway. I went with my partner and daughter. We only had a main meal and drink each and it came to over £35. It aint cheap. There is much better food to be had at much better value in carlisle..

i love nandos i had my first one in the metro centre newcastle but wasnt too taken then came home and me and my boyfriend went in, now it is our favourite place to eat! i could go everyday!

These places are what they are I suppose but I was amazed that every time we passed it was packed to the rafters. Maybe if I was a teenager that ate meat I may see it differently. The veggie slop I ordered was exactly that, lukewarm slop in a bun. Everything comes smeared in some type of radioactive orange slime. The young student staff are friendly. Fine dining it isn't. What a snob I am! Seriously though kids, branch out - try something new!

As far as chain restaurant go Nandos is the best.This place always satisfies my need for tasty, spicy but flavoursome food.Top noch, chain restaurant serving fresh well cooked South African food.Love the sauce selection.

Nandos staff, hats off to ya - 26ish parents and graduates unannounced and hungry - your staff couldn't have been more helpful, it was truly awesome.

A 20 minute wait for food in an empty resturant food covered in a sauce we didn't order staff that were hardly helpful and part way through we were asked if we wanted anything false as they wanted to shut the till. Give it a miss. It's not cheap and there are better places to eat.

After everyone talking about nandos and saying how great it was, we decided it was about time we tried it for ourselves. Best thing about this place?? You can refill your juice as much as you like.....that's it. The food isn't awful but its not good either. When we went there was not one member of staff from Carlisle working as we were told by the members of staff that were there that they were all on a staff night out. weird. im in no rush to go back again as it is just not worth the hype.

The staff were so nice, albeit that one has to do business eventually at the bar. I stressed more than once that I did not want the chicken breast overdone, but it arrived dry and mainly inedible, so I was able to eat only about half. The bean salad was grim, so I again ate only about half. Disgustingly I was able to scrape the layer of spilled food from earlier occupations at the table with a napkin, and showed the staff, who promised to clean properly in the future. And the tables were losing their varnish, so the whole recently opened place needs a refurbishiment,and the tables a good clean every time after use. The Pinot Grigio white wine was acceptable, but at massive London prices - this is Carlisle! How do the masses of those with pushchairs afford to eat there. An appalling and very expensive experience.

I was looking forward to my first ever nandos and it was disappointing. The service was flawless and welcoming but the food wasnt great. I didn't like the chicken and the chips were dry and horrible. However it was quite cheap and you got refills on your drinks

My daughters favourite restaurant. The meal is very filling, the chicken very very tasty and the peri peri sauce very yumm. Our favourite is garlic sauce and hot peri peri sauce. We finally got a Nandos in Carlisle after waiting for so many years.!
