Nando's in Liverpool

Only 5 mins drive from Liverpool Airport, situated in New Mersey Shopping Centre, which is really good. We were staying at the Crowne Plaza across the road last week & visited Nando's in the evening. We were made welcome & they were very considerate of my food intolerances. We visited again yesterday on our way home from the airport & food & service really good on both occasions.

Came about 6.45 on Father’s Day and was told we had a 25 min wait - we got a text and it said it would be about 35. It was 40! We seemed to be first in the queue according to the tracking of time yet people seemed to be going ahead of us despite our status remaining as first so no idea what was going on . A fair few empty tables - but not loads of staff - presumably this is why we waited . Sadly there was a few things not on - inc garlic bread which was a shame. What we ordered was very tasty , well portioned on the whole and hot . Lovely wraps - great we could get bits taken out we didn’t want . Chips were lovely . Spicy rice was excellent . Staff were very busy and did their best to keep on top of the situation . They were friendly on a busy day .

We visited here as a family of 3 for my son's birthday, we rang before hand to ask if we could bring in a cake to celebrate the occasion, and also asked if staff could sing happy birthday aswell but was told this was down to staff if they wanted to or not which was fair enough :) Upon arriving, we spoke to our waiter if we could have cake brought out which we brought in & she was more than happy to do so.. The two girls who brought the cake out sung Happy Birthday to my little boy & made his day inc ours too :) Just wanted to say a massive thankyou to the staff on that evening, didnt manage to grab names but we visted around half 5ish x

The restaurant is literally half empty, I have counted at least 9 empty tables yet we were asked to wait for 20 mins, already several people sitting g waiting and umpteen come in after us. Come on guys, get your act together, this is ludicrous!

Not the best, incompetence of staff throughout. Visited today told it would be a 25 minute wait (not a problem happy to wait) looking around it was clear the place had numerous free tables, even more if the staff cleaned the tables in a speed higher than 1st gear. People came in well after us and were seated sooner, so no idea. Food was ok though and reasonably priced.

Called in while shopping. Very cold day. Ordered platter and 2 coffees. Was informed" sorry we do not serve hit drinks". While the staff were friendly. Food adequate. No hot drinks. At all!!! On discussion staff told me they had stopped serving hit drinks months earlier. Too many other food outlets in the area, I will not be returning.

Why? Don’t know why I bother with Nando’s. You could get 2 pittas and 10 wings plus drinks for 20 quid at one point. Now that’ll cost you around £40. Service is terrible. No management. No point

I came here with my son's friend who has severe allergies.Manager was brilliant.Checked everything on the ipad and put it through as an allergy order. Unlike many restaurants,they didn't make doing an allergen free order seem like a problem and were happy to help

Visited Speke Nando’s tonight and just wanted to say a massive thank you to Lindsey, she seated us and checked that we were okay when we had our food, was very attentive and appeared in a very happy mood, making us laugh and feel relaxed, thank you for making our visit so lovely!

The food and the setting is great as usual.The drinks are reasonably priced. The staff are efficient and friendly. Here is the negative...since Covid i have noticed that Nandos have made the chicken portions smaller and yet not reduced the prices. The butterfly chicken has reduced massively in size...the portion is tiny.

We have been here a few times over the years but i am gutted to see staff not wearing face coverings when going to peoples tables. We were sat eating (so maks off) when a staff member came over to see if everything was ok with no mask on. It has made our trip feel uncomfortable

First time visiting Nando’s and we were looked after by Linzi. Food was great, really liked all the sauces and dips. All the staff were helpful but a very big thank you to Linzi for looking after us so well.

First time visiting speke nandos, stood at the door for about 10 minutes until someone finally came to seat us bearing in mind there was only 2 tables in the restaurant and about 8 staff members stood behind the bar chatting. Given 1 menu between the 2 of us, told to order on the app and took a long time to order, didn’t get the glasses for our drinks for a while after we ordered. Food came quite quickly and well I am very disappointed, I used to love nandos food and it’s just not the same anymore, tasted very bland, mash isn’t creamy like it used to be and I just didn’t think it was worth the money at all. Won’t be coming back to any nandos in the future

Where do i even start. Do not know what was worse, the lack of care of the young people who worked there, or the quality of the food, or lack thereof. This was one of the worst Nandos I have had the displeasure of going to. The chicken breasts were clearly draughted in from Iceland (the shop, not the country). Many people were complainibg about the quality of their meals. It was all substandard. I would like to suggest the manager there does spot checks on their team as there was alot if messing around amongst the younger staff members.

Manager appalling. Can’t believe how bad the manager was here. Been before and never had any issues. But she was appalling. No interest in our issues. Just incredibly smug and flippant. Her name was Sam

Such an amazing meal out with uni friends , service was really quick and good. Served by Nathaniel and he was amazing , went above and beyond for us and such a lovely young man. Would seriously recommend getting served by him.

Food is mediocre and service is better than average because you do it yourself. I herd Nandos are going to start giving hot plates out when you enter, so you can cook it for yourself and save them coming the table at all.
