We ordered online food for 7 of us on Thursday evening. And we were told to collect at 7:30pm. Food was ready on time, stored hot, all the meals were correct & labelled. Everyone was very happy with their meal. Thank you for a successful straightforward service.

Top tier service. Nando’s is nandos right? You know what you’re getting. Order at the table etc etc. can’t really go wrong. Right? However I’ve been to many Nando’s in my time and must admit the quality of service here is brilliant. Food is always cooked to perfection. Staff always extremely helpful and friendly. Again nandos is simple but made so much nicer by the friendly and engaging staff.

Found it a bit disgusting that there was food on the walls, tables, chairs and floor. The place needs a bloody good clean. On arrival had half an hour wait which wasn’t so bad with phone notification system but seemed a lot of empty tables. Service was good, food was nice, drinks and ice machine both broken. Overall, won’t be going back to this one which is a shame

Good efficient service. The App for ordering and paying was easy. Great value meal. Good size portions. Ideal for young children. Good seating areas for family groups.

Ordered 2 burger meals for delivery for 2 and one of our burgers was missing. The one burger and 2 chips that arrived was cold. Called customer service to ask them to send the missing burger to be told they can't do this can only refund the missing burger. How ridiculous. Shocking service from Nando's. Who orders a Nando's to eat just chips! And to have to watch someone eat a burger when you don't have one, or eat a burger in front of someone who hasn't received theirs... Embarrassing!

We arrived at super busy peak time on the Thursday before Easter and didn’t have to wait long despite how popular it was. The team were all very friendly and accommodating looking after my allergic daughters’ order and reassuringly explaining how seriously they take allergies. The staff were all so helpful, friendly and I would thoroughly recommend the place and of course the food is great!

My experience was terrible. I have been to Nando's as a loyal customer and never had any problems. Firstly we were seated. I had to go to the front because I had a £20.00 gift card the bill with a starter came to £35.40. I tapped my card to find that I was paying £20 and the gentleman said can you tap your card. I showed him a notification that the transaction had already gone through with that I said, ''I have been over charged''. He called over a manager and for the second time I showed the transaction history. He asked me to be seated while he sent someone over because he was being called by other members of staff, as I noticed. Thereafter, a lady came up to explain the situation then left as the food had arrived. We ate then concluded that we would sort out the issue after, so that the food does not get cold. On top of this our mains arrived and they completely forgot the starters. I spoke to the lady again to explain again that I had been over charged on the meal and that the starters did not arrive. Following this, my other half then explained what was wrong. Then I explained again that I had been over charged and had to show for the third time my transaction and gift card balance. Thereafter, we received the refund on the starter then a reimbursement on the over payment. As a previous loyal customer I cannot say that I will be returning if there is a lack of trust between staff and consumers.

Food was amazing! My 2 daughters have allergies and they were looked after exceptionally by Gabe. Definitely recommend!

There's a 4 hour parking limit in the car park so if you go for a meal and a film there's a reasonable chance you will go over the 4hr limit - Please be aware

Myself and partner had a lovely experience today, I didn’t catch the ladies name that was serving us but she really looked after us! Thank you for the frozen yoghurt to the lady :) x

Where do I start.. yes covid restrictions might be over and yes, non of your staff are continuing mask rules or social distancing but compacting ALL guests into one area of the restaurant.. really? We asked a waitress if we can move to a quieter area rather than being right in the centre of the place, not a big ask… she rolled her eyes and rudely said ‘where do you want to go then’. We ordered Via the app, never had any issues before. I ordered a slice of cheese on the side, three people came over separately and asked me if I wanted it on the garlic bread (with the kitchen slip that had the CORRECT ORDER on it) each time I said no. The meal came and everything is wrong.. now the worst thing was that my friend ordered the peritamer wrap with no chili Jam. The wrap came with lemon and herb and chili Jam. We said to the server it was wrong, she said to us ‘are you sure you haven’t ordered the wrong thing’ whilst she huffed and said well we are busy but I will ‘see’ if we can do another. The on duty manager came over and said ‘you want peritamer wrap yeah’. We said yes, yes we do! Both me and my friend watched him go back to the kitchen and SWAP the toothpick to a peritamer sticker and bring it back no less than a minute later. Do the nandos staff forget they work in an open kitchen? Never return. Might helped if they stopped taking so many deliveroo orders, all they seemed to care about.

You can't beat a good nandos. Not sure why this spot gets a bad rep as the staff are nice and food quick

Wonderful service. Great Covid precautions and very well organised. Jay was very efficient and helpful. We look forward to returning for yet another "cheeeeeky Nandos"!

I didn’t eat in Nando’s, but I was walking up the steps outside with my elderly grandpa, who was struggling to walk up them. Without us even asking for help, a waiter came out to help my grandpa up the stairs, which was really appreciated.

Had lunch here today - good service and the food was great, beers and soft drinks all ok. Good friendly service. Nandos is good and always seems to be buzzing etc! Staff seem happy and enjoying the job.. All good, will come again for sure....

The place needs appreciation due to its ample space ,quick service and excellent food with good helping with choice of level of spices. Choice of vegetarian food is good too.Though dated ambience needs improvement ,overall experience is quite satisfactory.

Attended on a thursday evening, the restaurant was busy and a member of staff was taking names but had no clue of the order, people jumped the queue, he didnt have some parties listed and was aggressive when tackled. Queue was much longer than the warned 10-15 mins. There should be a better system than this for busy times.

I had a take away and a chicken was raw, I didn’t eat it and complaint four times but they keep telling me send the picture, no refund yet.. very disappointed with manger jay he was making fun of this and show no respect..

We had a nice evening meal here. You have to go up to counter and place order which we are not keen on as it takes time and you leave family and the whole point of going out for a meal is to spend time together.

I went to Nandos, Hemel Hempstead with a couple of friends big up Wadders. We had a good evening with da boys but my butterfly chicken was mainly raw inside i hadn't realised this until a couple of bites later. I couldn't taste it because i had smothered it in sauce. Once i realised i had sent it back for a new one but just had it reheated!! I could tell this was the case because my plated was so hot!! Very Disappointed would like answers and a refund!!

Friendly welcome despite the large amount of diners. Food was great and I had a large choice of vegetarian options; the superfood pitta was delicious. Great food and great staff.

Went here on Monday bank holiday so it was very busy but we had a seat in no time, our food also came within 5 minutes after ordering. We had a shared plate which was nice but we didn’t get any plates or knifes and forks with it so we had to ask for them. What bothered us the most is how loud the music is, we could barely have a conversation.. Other than that it’s a nice place to go

Nando's chicken has been my favourite for a lot of years now, i Love Nandos extra hot chicken. The chicken in Hemel Nandos is the same quality as ever, the issue I have is the delayed service there.

I went to this restaurant tonight with my 3 kids and I have to say of all the Nando’s I’ve been to in the uk this one has the best team working there , they was fantastic at interacting with the kids and made it such a fun time for the kids , thank you for giving me a wonderful Nando’s experience

This is your typical Nando's with OK prices, dried chicken and bottomless (un)fizzy drinks. It eludes me why Nando's is so successful in the UK but standards are consistent across stores and service is (generally) fast and efficient.

Have always tried to avoid Nando’s as not to keen on the fast food / restaurant combos. Drive down to Lawn Lane visit Peri Peri chicken a pay roughly a third of the cost for a meal for two. Only real difference is you eat it out of a box not a plate.

Visited with my sister and we're both following Slimmingworld, so were after something to eat that we could fit into our plan. We ordered the chicken thighs and butterfly chicken, with Dirty Rice and corn on the cob. Our requests for the chicken skin to be removed was listened to, which often it isn't in other restaurants, likewise for the butter to be left off the corn on the cob. 100% accuracy on the order and the food arrived quickly, was really tasty and the restaurant was friendly and clean. Would recommend for a quick bite before the cinema!

Even though Nandos is a chain, you can be guaranteed a lovely, quick and tasty meal. I have the new fino pitta which is just lovely. I love the hot sauce. Went here on my birthday for lunch with my husband and the pregnant waitress was just a doll! We have a newborn and she was so accommodating!

Lunch time visit we arrived the very welcoming host opened the door and already had our menus ready.Opening the door representing very well for the company and standard of service.The ordering process was a good as usual getting to use our own table.Unfortunately they had a run out of chicken thighs but the alternative was chicken breast which was beautiful and spicy the chicken was nice and tender.My friend ordered the chicken wrap the food could be put together for the restaurant is perfect was everyone and the restaurant is great if your going to the cinema or with children or a large group

Not as good as other nando's around the country. The place is clean enough and gets a lot of business being in a little mall but maybe that's why the staff/cooks get a little less lacklustre. The food always seems to be a little less good then at other more quiet nandos around the country. It's usually not cooked long enough (too fast because too many orders?) and same with the fries which are usually the worse at this one. Will give it a few other tries, else i'll find one somewhere else.

Had a nice meal here last night. all perfect. Good service and friendly chaps on the front counter. Two adults and two kids. - all perfect chicken and burgers! In all a good choice. Will come again for sure!

Back in June I said how poor the place was and it had been a year since my last visit. So after I complained to head office the manager gave me a call and I explained my issues.As they wanted me to return in the future they gave me my next meal free and he gave me a apology when I got there and to be fair the food was excellent.Now I wondered if this was a one off so I have ordered since and the food has been up to standard and the place is clean so I hope they keep it up.I did tell the manager he needs to check trip advisor as there where soom bad reviews so I think they have taken this all on board now

Very popular, staff friendly, food great. Fast service great if you love chicken. We go there often and always get a table.

We visited in the evening and the entrance was very busy. We nearly didn't go in as it looked like we would have to wait a long time. The entrance is also the area for the take away collection. We were told we would have to wait for approx 5 minutes even though there were empty tables. Whilst waiting to be seated it appeared there were not enough staff working to serve the amount of customers and to clear the empty but messy and uncleared tables. The restaurant generally looked like it needed a clean with a dirty front door and messy entrance on arrival, as well as litter in the restaurant itself. We were told that there were no whole, half or quarter chickens or chicken on the bone, which seems strange for a chicken restaurant. We did however get seated and went up to order our food. You do not get your food orders taken at the table, so once you have been seated you have to get up to queue to make your order at the till which I did. We also got a couple of glasses for some drinks but there was no ice and the water was warm which is disappointing on such a hot day. Once the order was placed we waited about 30 minutes to get our food and was approached by the waiting staff twice to ask if we had ordered burgers which we had not. The food seemed to be waiting in the kitchen area a long time which is worrying and once again it did not seem like there were enough staff to serve the food to the tables or the system wasn't working because we were being asked about an order which wasn't ours, even though the table number is taken at the point of ordering. When we got our food there were no knives and forks to eat it with and had to wait for them, when they arrived they were wet. Even though we weren't having the best of experiences the staff at the till and the waiting staff were polite and friendly. We have been here before and had much better evenings, so hopefully this was a one off as if this was the first time I had visited Nando's I would be very unlikely to return especially as there are so many restaurants to choose from in Hemel Hempstead now.

My last review of this place was Aug last year and my friends convinced me its got better so I ordered a take away.When to pick it up. And got ignored while people after me got served!!! Eventually a jolly soul served me and took forever to sort it out. So while I am waiting at the till I notice the kitchen floor. To me it was in a filthy state that you wouldn't let a dog in there. Just rubbish and food everywhere. Used the men's toilet and wished I hadn't.Food? Well coleslaw was about teaspoon in the box. Chicken had no flavor at all and the chips where just ropey.Never again and I would try peri peri in lawn lane. Shame chiquen is gone as that was 100 times better. How or why people go here is beyond me.All other restaurants iv'e been to have been fine but this one is just shocking. So bad I think this is only the first or second review iv'e given on here where iv'e given a terrible rating. I'm not even that fussy in all honesty. Iv'e been in better kebab shops than this place. 9.30 on a Thurs night it wasn't busy so I can't understand how they made the food so bad

I have experienced Nando's in St Albans & I thought it was average. This one at Jarmans Park is quite new but it's awful. It's really noisy. You queue up to order, there is a limited drinks menu & if you want nasty cola, it's out of a fill-it-yourself bar. Why does anyone go back for this nonsense. The food was nothing special either, the chicken is so-so but the chips are floppy & seem to need more cooking time. They were not at all crispy. I will never ever go to a Nando's again. Over priced KFC if you ask me.

Everything was fine with our food, it didn't take too long, the portions were good and the chicken was juicy. It is very good value and perfect for a quick meal before the cinema. However, I did feel the restaurant and toilets could do with a clean.

I love Nando's. We always have a lovely time there and go every weekend or every other weekend. We've been all over, and Hemel is one of the best ones.It's always clean, the staff are always friendly and we all really love the food.The atmosphere is great and when we went this time the children got balloons as well as their colouring pages and crayons. I love the noise of families enjoying themselves and the paintings on the walls.The food always makes me feel great. I love spicy food and chilli as well as the healthy salads they have. I love the fact that the chips have hardly any (and maybe no) salt. Great for the kids and for me. Their pita is my favourite dish with extra avocado. On the odd occasion, the avocado has been a bit grey but that is rare and they are happy to change it.Love their low alcohol lemon beer and also their coleslaw. We always take a doggy bag home with any leftover chicken and have it later too. They provide boxes/bags, anything you need. Their balsamic vinegar is also lovely!This time we also got a free complementary starter, which was a lovely, unexpected treat.The tables and chairs are always clean. 5 of us usually get a booth which is great. The service is quick and we love the self service drinks and frozen yoghurt. Oh, they could have more small spoons though. We often find there aren't any and my 3 year old struggles with a large spoon.Overall, we love it and will continue to return and collect Nando's points. Thanks guys!

A regretful experience.Two 1/4 chicken breast meals with a few sides. In a chain like Nando's you don't expect to wait over 40 minutes until you see the food arrive at your table. You might be forgiven for thinking the restaurant was busy but that was not the case. At least a third of the tables were empty on this occasion and there wasn't even a queue at the till.More evidence presented itself as to how this place is run as we waited for our food.For 20 mins we watched as patron after patron visited the service counter for cutlery. Alas no forks! Staff were repeatedly told about the lack of forks as customers returned to their tables to make do with either a spoon or their hands.Plates of food kept gathering on the pass which got us worried as well. They appeared to be sitting there quite a while. To put us off our eventual meal even further a member of staff was wiping the top of one of the sauce bottles with a DIRTY and USED napkin he picked up from the table!!! Who knows what the customer who left that napkin behind did to it!When the chicken did come out it was ok. The new peri-peri vusa sauce is top notch as well. Just a shame management doesn't know how to run the place efficiently.

I am a Nados fan and I don't think you can really go wrong with this place. They are consistent, fast and it generally tastes good. Lots options for all preferences and the veggie options are pretty good. Great for families, groups of friend or even as a take away. If these guys were on Deliveroo I would be a regular. The only reason I am not rating this any higher is because their chickens seem smaller than other locations I've been around London.

A popular chain restaurant which was very busy but we were soon seated by efficient staff.We had Butterfly chicken,Chicken Pitta and a Chicken leg all with side dishes.The food was delicious and reasonably priced.

We were looked after very well, and although the restaurant was very busy, we were served within 10 mins, and the food was excellent. One of the better Nando's experiences that I've ever had, and I've never had a bad one!!

I've been to quite a few Nando's restaurants and maybe i'm a bit biased because this is my closest but it really is nice food. The service is fast and the food is always how you'd expect it to be, i've never seen or heard anything negative about this Nando's.Guy Challenge - Full platter and 4 sides........do it if you can

The food here is good but the tables and floor can be dirty and the worst thing I saw was the filth on the floor behind the tills where the servers stand. There were bits of food and rubbish strewn all over the floor by their feet and it just screams a health and safety issue!

What's the point of telephoning your order through if you still have to wait over 15 mins not that they acknowledge that. Food fine as always

This is the best Nando's we have ever been to. Some reviews here says all Nanados are the same...yes of course its a restaurant chain. However, the quality of food in Hemel Hempstead Nando's is better compared to other branches (the chicken is like pigeons size) we've been to. Moreover the customer service is always excellent and staff are ever so friendly. We have dined in here few times and they never fail us.

Great looking restaurant, with newer fixtures and fittings than most, and quality of cooking is better here than other Nandos which i visit regularly...new Supergreens all the way!

Pretty much the same as any other Nandos. The food is exactly what you would expect and the service is fine. They are happy to push tables together to make room for a large group. Gets very busy on Friday lunchtime so be sure to get there early.

Usually I enjoy Nandos, but this experience was different. There were five in our party so that made ordering difficult. One person had to write down everything, then we had to calculate how much each person needed to put in the pot.Atmosphere was like we were in a food factory, however the staff were fine. Staff and the place looked like a good scrub was needed. Food was fine.Would I visit again? Not there!

Always come here and never disappointed! We also get takeaway from here sometimes and it's always amazing! Food is always hot and service is good. The only thing is sometimes there is a long que but I think that's a testimony to the food , and I don't mind waiting a bit for my chicken .

Came here for a family get together somewhere cheap and cheerful,not again though,process of seating a large group and ordering food,drinks etc was so painful and stressful and although the food was inexpensive for what it was,was just basic and not that good.Staff disinterested and tables greasy.

Normally these are very consistent, I'd say this is new due to the fact there was a clear 'staff' table and at one point the waitress had to move staff coats and bags off a table (to the staff sat on the next one) for customers to sit down. Froyo machine out of order :( That being said the service was excellent, very clean place, food exactly as expected and served in a very reasonable time, very happy

Our first time at a nandos.We sat down for quite awhile before realising that you order and pay at the bar.If you like chicken your catered for other than that your not.Some of the food was ok but other people said it was just dry old chicken.The medium heat is on the hot side so go carefully when ordering.Not convinced that I will return as there are more restaurants with better choise.

We come to Nando's often but this was my first time visiting this specific one. The food was great as usual and the staff were very friendly. I accidentally left without my iPhone and the staff kept hold of it for me and made sure I got it back!

We visited this Nandos instead of our local branch in St Albans as there is free on site parking (albeit no wifi). What a mistake. The floors were covered in food, tables filthy, the garlic bread was stale and the chicken was so dry it was inedible. We sent the food back, they brought out replacements, which were twice as bad as the originals. No apology, no offer of refund, generally poor all round. It's worth paying to park and visiting the St Albans branch instead.

Having been to Nando's before (although not the Hemel one) we knew the ordering procedures etc. As we were a larger party (9) I called beforehand and was able to book a table, Luke was most helpful. Meal was good, a slight hiccup was straightened out quickly and without fuss - all in all Nando's delivered, the staff were exceptional and I would return to this restaurant, thank you. Did not award 5 stars as I believe nothing is perfect.

Slow painful service with staff that couldn't care less. The last two times we have been here the service has been shocking and the food has come out cold. Combined with dirty floors and drinks areas. We even tried takeaway and this was just as bad. I love nando's but this place is just impossible to get a decent meal. I think In the future we'll drive a bit further out to a better nando's. Which is a real shame as it has so much potential.

Our first visit to a Nando's was a disappointment.We (4 pax) ordered at the counter and the food arrived at our table 20 minutes later.In the meantime we had noticed that there were many plates on the warmer counter waiting for service. Some were there for 10 minutes or more, ours included. Various waiters passed them by but no one bothered to pick up the plates and serve them. We called for the manageress and mentioned our observations. When the dishes finally arrived, 2 plates were immediately sent back as cold and dry. So two of our group had to wait a further 10 minutes!The manageress offered us desserts 'On the house', but by then the damage was done.Summing up, not great food, or service and not cheap.

Superb wings and wrap. Friendly helpful service. Popped in for a takeaway once and was given a drink with out a quibble.

So it's a no frills. In fact no service do it yourself restaurant where you pay before you eat = multiple transactions if you decide on more food or other drinks. It's a bit hamerite 'does what it says on the tin' but food is good as the protein cluckers love it.

Ate here prior to seeing a movie – wouldn't go again unless desperate. Very average fast food, served within a rather old-fashioned concept decor. Better value elsewhere.

Was very busy, certainly not relaxing. I've been here several states times &I despite the occassional side dish mix up and serves yummy food.I certainly think the Nando way of paying before you receive certainly improves the experience as you have no waiting around for the bill at the end of the meal!

As always, Nando's is Nandos and you can't go far wrong. This is normally the case for any Nando's I eat at but this one was slightly below par. It was a busy time in the evening so I don't expect perfection but things that let it down slightly were that my Halloumi cheese was a little burnt, as was my daughters garlic bread. Everything else was the usual high standard that I've grown to expect from Nando's.One further thing that effected my meal was my trip to the gents. There was a guy in there who was obviously doing some maintenance work but he'd spread his tools etc out all over the floor. I had to skip over said tools to get to the cubicle (which was the only accessible toilet to use. The workman had also taken up the whole of the sink with his flask as well as a few more tools, making washing my hands a little difficult.There was also a random sock on the floor outside of the toilets :/I understand that this work probably had to be done and that it unfortunately effected things on the one night I was there.All in all, a standard meal with only a couple of little hiccups.

You know what you are getting at nando's! Freshly cooked chicken dishes with a variety of side dishes.We had vouchers given to us at Christmas, whereby we were given 2 vouchers for half a free chicken.We had two children's menus, suitable for smaller tummies up to 11 which comes with the free refillable frozen yoghurt which the children really enjoyed.The 1/2 a chickens were very tasty. As a tip, do not order too many chips, as you can sometimes get quite a lot. Being a Saturday at 6pm, we went on the reservation list and were told 20/25 mins. So we went to the pommel horse, came back in the timescale and our table was ready and waiting.The place was packed and very efficientWe Will be back.

It's nandos for crying out loud, just go already. Great food, great atmosphere and very satisfying. Just go and enjoy
