Visited on a Saturday lunch, had to wait around 10 mins, for a table, which was fine, we all enjoyed our meals and bottomless drink, service was good, tables were cleaned, everything looked tidy, will definitely return

Well done Nandos Lakeside Retail Park. I have just had an absolutely amazing meal. The garlic bread was cooked just how I like it and the butterfly chicken was tender and very tasty. I will definitely be back! ❤️

I went to Nando's Thurrock today with my mum and dad and sister mollie for lunch today I think my dad remembers when I came to this place when I was younger but today was my first time coming back to this Nando's in Thurrock I am so happy that you have very good star rating 4 point 2 is very good I just glad there's no 3 star rating which is very good news to hear I really enjoyed my lunch today I liked the food and the chips and lovely sauce that went with the chips That was a very lovely lunch today I had a lovely first time experience since I think back when I was younger I don't really remember what year I last came here The staff that work here are very kind lovely honest caring This place gets it's first 5 out of 5 star rating 5 stars all around Have a lovely rest of your afternoon and also evening as well Enjoy reading your first google review from me

Food was okay, however I think you need to have a conversation with your delivery partners and delivery drivers. What is not okay? Is the fact that I’ve paid out £35 for a takeaway this evening and I’ve tracked the driver from the restaurant to my house. I decided to sit outside the house. Three streets are away for 15 minutes. Then knocking delivering my food which was cold. Not only this is when he has delivered the item of food he’s delivered it in A what seems like plastic bag. This is not okay. How on earth is the food supposed to stay warm given the amount of costs attached to a delivery?

Exactly what you expect from a nandos. Food was great, nothing to complain about at all. A quiet nandos compared to lakeside. Well worth the trip outside to avoid the busy nandos.

Fast, affordable dining in a retail park

We have eaten at this restaurant many times before however this was the first visit since our daughter had been diagnosed with coeliac disease. We checked ahead of visiting that there were gluten free options available. Upon arrival we were greeted by Becky who asked if there were any dietary needs, after confirming we did she advised the manager would take our order. Ordering was easy and they ensured the gluten free/allergy meal was ordered first. We ordered halloumi as a side which Becky immediately realised was not cooked separately with the gluten free meal and she sent the food back to ensure it was cooked safely. Becky was polite, friendly, very helpful and attentive. It was extremely comforting to know that Nandos have a system in place to ensure safety and avoiding cross contamination. It means we still have a great go to with our daughter since her choices are somewhat limited when it comes to eating out now as a family. All the staff at Lakeside retail restaurant were lovely and helpful so thank you for making our dinner worry free.

The service was prompt but very disappointing that a lot of the options on the menu were unavailable. The atmosphere was great and had a good family feel to it .

We had a great experience at the Nando’s today. We served by a lovely day (Nadine). After placing our order, we had started eating but the kids wanted have some extra stuffs. Dillion the supervisor took our order instead of going back to cook. Also gave our daughter a lovely dessert who is 8 years old today. Excellent service today. We are very happy with Nando’s staffs. Quick service, staff were really friendly and helpful. Meal was really tasty, what you expect from a Nandos really. Only downside was the toilets weren't very clean or well maintained.

Ordered chicken online, wanted it "welldone" but the app does not give you an option to specify. I went in to the restuarant to pick up my order and asked very nicely if they could do it welldone. Evie served me and told me they cannot do it welldone after it has been packed up in the box. I insisted and then she told me she will do it only this once and that they don't do this for customers where they cook the chicken welldone after it has been packed up. Ridiculous. Evie is a poor and shameful representation of Nando's and what it stands for.

Food was really nice but thought it was a little expensive for what we ordered.

The past 2 times I’ve ordered for collection from here the food has been poor, in the picture I attached is a double chicken wrap. If you couldn’t tell that looks nothing like a wrap, I wouldn’t mind but this is the 2nd time in a row this has happened, the first time I had to throw it away because it was all soggy and tasted off. Will be avoiding from now on.

Really quick service despite a waiting list. Don't let the queue put you off as they're very fast at turning tables around

I recently dined at Nando's and was thoroughly impressed. The butterfly chicken was succulent, and the hot sauce added just the right kick. The chicken burger was juicy and flavorful, and the variety of sauces available elevated the experience. Overall, Nando's exceeded my expectations with its delicious offerings. Quality is stable. Food and services are good.

Food is great and consistent. I go to nandos probably 3 times a week across the country and this is the only Nandos where they don't come to check if your order is okay. Meet and greet is usually slow upon entering. Loads of rats everywhere which is off putting however not sure if this is just outside the building or if inside the building is affected too.

It’s just a shame that they sold me very burnt wings and I mean ashes in takeaway. It’s just sad. Please don’t tarnish the Nandos Name by doing this . Luckily I checked before heading home and went back inside to show them. What an embarrassment all I got was ‘well I didn’t cook them’. You need to up your standards guys. To buy takeaway doesn’t mean let’s given them the burnt meat and they will discover when they get home. I won’t be back to this site again….😞

Always enjoy a Nando's but today the brocollini was under cooked and the music rather loud...

Nandos is usually so consistent, but this branch was a mess. They left key ingredients out of both meals, the bread was stale. We had to keep asking the waiting staff to correct things and it was just ridiculous. Probably wouldn’t go back to this branch

Haven't been to Nandos for a while. So we went on a nice wintry day. We ordered chicken wings with fries and with some cider beer. Everything was cooked very well.

I have just visited with my family and had a lovely evening, The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and my food was cooked perfectly. It was a pleasure to eat there!

I was last night I went with my fiance to the nando's restaurant . The service was horrible, food was OK. We paid for a botle of wine 20 £ and the wine it wasn't even cold and it came after half an hour... that's ridiculous. We had to.put ice in our wine .

Absolutely love Nandos especially the thighs. Would definitely recommend this place for a lovely meal at reasonable prices

Food was good as was the service. It was freezing cold in the restaurant, we were v cold and our food went cold quickly too, rather annoying!

Worst service from staff tonight even the manager was not helpful at all. Their customer service is very poor. At first it was the attitude of the member of staff, all because we ask for Nhs discount. Then she called her manager, which wasn’t helpful either stating you can only use the card per day. Can’t get the name of the staff because the manager refuse to give me her name, she said her name was not needed, that she is the manager Betty. Just ruin my Sunday, waste of time . Will never go back there again if this is what lakeside Nando’s stand for.

Very very dissapointed! Ordered take away, click and collect. Came home to only realise the sweetcorn cob was already bitten and pre-heated like it was re-used from another customers plate. And the fried was hard and soggy.. definatley re-used... such a shame, i have been to plenty of nandos with no issues but this thurrock nandos needs ato be investigated by trading standards and food hygiene asap. The duty manager in charge on sunday 15th october 2023 at 7:50pm needs investigating as this is unacceptable. The food was for my pregnant wife! The last thing she needed was this!... disgusted!!!

We ate Nando's full chicken with 4 starters. I & my wife enjoyed the meal.

Told to wait for 15 mins due to late delivery . Knives and forks dirty and had to ask for the plates as they wernt on display. I would recommend that the Manager needs some form of customer relations re training . We had been waiting 1st in the que under a parasol to avoid the 32 degrees yet when they did open others where greeted into the restraunt before us .

This place is an absolute joke it was not busy at all and had to wait 40minutes for our food! There was a lovely lady Irene that worked there she was the only person doing absolutely everything serving, waiting tables, cleaning and doing takeaway orders. There was a manager and supervisor who was a sweaty mess who constantly stood next to all the plates of food ready to go out and proceeded to ignore it and just stood there chatting. We were not the only ones complaining as everyone was waiting for their food and could see it sitting on the side! God help this place if Irene leave as the rest of the 7 staff would actually have to do some work instead of just standing there watching her work! Sort it out and lead by example when you’ve got managers ignoring people and food what do you expect the rest of the staff to do?

Nandos can never go wrong! Extra hot chicken leg is my favourite. My favourite restaurant in the UK. Yes it’s my favourite! Unfortunately this particular restaurant ran out of some items when I visited. No corn on the cob, no garlic bread….. not so good. I love the corn on the cob.

The restaurant needs to be freshly painted and the furniture cleaned properly. The food was good but the environment not really clean

manger was rude and does not want to listen to a complaint even when it’s about their staff and did not want to listen she walked away whilst i was speaking. In regards to orders, they were wrong 3 times! even though it was changed at the till.. 1 meal was left on the side to basically go cold whilst the rest of us at the table with our food. Also had to ask 2 times for the deserts to come over. 3 ladies toilets and 2 were blocked and one had no lock.. plus dreadful service👏🏻

We genuinely appreciate the help and service from them as it is a great help with our hectic life. For food, a loaded chips bowl and the new chocolate pud particular favourites for a quick dinner too. Thank you guys

Service was really slow and when the order arrived part of it was wrong and parts of the meal were cold. Sorted the wrong part quickly to be fair but meant had to entertain our child for longer…

A half empty Nandos and we had to wait 35 minutes for our food to come. This seriously isn't acceptable. To add, to everybody that ordered chicken in our party (3 people) all of the chicken was dry like it has been sitting there for a good hour. If the Nandos was busy, I wouldn't mind waiting given that an employee would warn us due to busy times but when it's half full and there's staff standing around, there's no excuse to be waiting so long to receive our food. Another point to mention, if I never mentioned that we haven't received our food then I'm sure it would've taken even longer to receive our food. I'm normally very reasonable with my feedback or understanding of receiving or waiting for my food due to busy times etc but I'm sorry, I'm really dissatisfied with our order and our experience.

Writing this review because I was at Nandos Lakeside retail at about 3:30ish, the fire alarm went off and cut one of the cooking apparatus off. They were very good at sorting our food to something that could be cooked however some asked for a refund. As everyone knows refunds from most if not all shops take a few days to go into your bank. 2 women were not happy about this and became quite irate about it shouting at the staff, swearing at them amd pointing their fingers in the staffs faces. Honestly could not fault the way the staff managed the situation, from the managers and staff trying to de-escalate the situation to the other staff continuing around them, to the staff apologising to the other customers for the noise. It looked and sounded like a very heated situation and they were all so well kept together and calm!!!!

Downgraded since they removed the dividers between booths... Good luck hearing your server and friends over the noise of people trying to talk loud enough to hear each other

After spending a lot on Nando’s today for a client I decided to go to lakeside Thurrock this evening. It was by far the Worst Nando’s ever! Chicken was like rubber and the knife couldn’t cut it. We both returned our meals and got a second one and just as bad. I couldn’t chew most of it so we gave up. Rice had half the rice cooked ok but mixed in was overcook or undercooked ones so tasted like raw rice and crunched when trying to chew. Garlic bread really hard to chew. Had to keep asking for bits like butter and the sticks for the corn on the cob. Waitress not really bothered. Absolutely gutted as I love Nando’s but this has put me off it. Still trying to remove what I ate from my teeth and now have stomach pains and diarrhoea. Never going this one again

Unfortunately, the chips 🍟 were not crispy and weren't great. And the chicken wings were very tiny. Overall, it's not the best I've had at this particular nandos. But the service was good, though, and the staff were quite helpful in solving the issue with the chips.

The manager was absolutely disgusting. Extremely rude. Manager got confrontational as an employee seated us an my son started drawing and manager came over and said it’s actually two minutes till we’re open so go sit outside. Continued to swear at us. Absolutely disgusting and have reported him.

I don’t even want to give a 1 star because they overcharged me and still hasn’t refunded me yet almost a month now. You have to keep ringing to chase to get refund … which is super annoying!!! still keeping telling me nonsense. My suggestion is please check your dishes before the payment. Staffs from this Nando’s are not like other branch of the staffs because they don’t really care about customer!!!! I will never go back again.

I went in today with my husband and 3 kids and this has been the worst experience we have encountered at our regular Nandos (Thurrock)! The 2x Managers and every single staff in there (apart from the cooks and the young, blond hair guy) should be fired!! They're lazy, unhelpful and the branch looked disgusting and unhygienic today!! 1. There was a minimum 15mins wait to be served as only one person on the till. its only when my husband complained that suddenly another person appeared on the till! 2. Despite the toilets having tissue paper in them we could not get the tissue out! Having twins of 4yrs of age this was challenging and resulted in me asking a lady to watch my kids so that i could run downstairs to get some napkins to use! When I complained to the female manager her answer was "sorry, but its a environmentally friendly way of using tissue" and then dismissed it but that she would look into it. When my girls needed to use the toilet again we were faced with the same situation... could not access the tissue!! 3. It took ages for our food to come out despite us being able to see it. We had to almost order someone to bring it out! 4. There were lots of staff in today but none of them wanting to work. Instead they were huddled in groups having a laugh. 5. A lady and 2 guys came in asking the male manager to give them a table. It was obvious that they were mates and were given a table straight away despite actual customers having to wait for 30mins. 6. As you can see from the pictures attached this was the state of the upstairs including the ladies toilets which remained like this throughout the duration of our visit (6.30pm - 7.45pm). 7. The 2 managers on this shift need to be fired!! They showed no empathy, did not even entertain any kind of compensation but instead acted like we owed them!

Didn't get what I ordered if I'd of eaten it I would of been very poorly,recieved replacement meal, but after seeing rats running around outside it put me off and couldn't eat my meal

It's so nice when you go into a restaurant and everything is just perfect. On this occasion I was on my own and was greeted by a very friendly waitress. She fully explained everything to me which I appreciated. She was also the same person who served me at the till and took my order. She was extremely professional. I ordered the chicken livers with piri piri fries which arrived nice and hot, tasty and perfectly cooked. Asking for extra butter for my crusty roll was no problem during my meal. I could see that all the staff appeared happy, hard working and friendly, together with lovely cooked food made the perfect visit, and to top it all off the waitresses Gemma & Becky even thanked me on my bill for being a lovely customer. Everything was very much appreciated.

Chicken sharing platter ok....but the staff......they were so miserable.....looked like they had lost a pound and found a penny...come on, buck up, smile, make pleasant conversation.........what a shame.....

The food was soo good and I loved the hot sauces and the olives and they were so fast at serving our food it took around 5 to 10 mins

I had a burger, and it was well presented with plenty of juicy flavour. I also love that they have come to their senses and fo full fat coke. Well done on that alone.

It's normally my favourite place to go, but I recently noticed it's gone downhill. The new chicken Caesar salad had no chicken in, and the server told me I'd ordered the wrong dish, so it was my fault. When I showed her what I'd ordered on the menu, she blamed it on the till not been updated. They proceeded to bring me a paltry piece of chicken. I'm not impressed at all. However, I did return the next night with a different group of friends, ordered a different salad, and it was lovely. But the toilets were disgusting. Water leaks all over the floor by the sinks, and whilst there was a sign up, it could have been more prominent due to the low-level lighting.

Nando's is always good food, good value and good service. Have given 3 stars for atmosphere as the Lakeside Nandos is starting to look a tad tired and in need of a makeover and new furniture. Still very much worth a visit though.
