Came to Bella Italia at the Thurrock lakeside restaurant for my mums 86th Birthday. Party of 8 and all travelled quite far as this is my mums favourite restaurant Couldn’t fault it. The service was amazing, the food delicious and the atmosphere was incredible Was served by a lady called Maria who was so lovely. She did everything to make our dining experience for my mum special. She was friendly kind and could t do enough for us. Also Galo was also brilliant,kept making sure we were all looked after and he too was friendly Would definitely recommend Bella Italia lakeside

Great food but was told to download there app so I did. The app gave me a £10 off coupon but the manager claimed it could not be used as the store wasn’t updated. Not my problem she should have honored it. She about many people upset about the same thing.

Such an amazing place to visit. The food is amazing and staff are always with a smile on their faces. If you don’t know get to know!! Definitely worth giving it a visit ( ask to sit by the window the views are amazing

Maria made our family meal really special, really including our young daughter in the experience. Our daughter loves the robot waiter but preferred Maria.

The food was great, came really fast and was very well cooked. Unfortunately this was overshadowed by the poor service. The staff were all rude and made us feel unwelcome in the restaurant. Such a shame as the food was great.

Definitely better than the Bella Italias in central London. Bbq chicken pizza, Ribs, fries and the new chicken fries are great here. Would recommend

Came for a quick lunch today. Was greeted quickly and welcomed in. Martyna served us and was funny and attentive. Was delighted when our food arrived on A ROBOT. WHAT!!!!! 10/10 will defo be back.

It was our first visit to the Lakeside Branch, first impressions were somewhat good. We got seated straight as we came through the door, which is a great first impression although it would have been more appropriated if we got seated with a little welcoming conversation starter and a smile, rather than a 'I had enough' facial expression. We understood the hot weather might have an effect on everyone's mood but at the end of the day, we are paying customers expecting more than excellent customer service. Although the robot delivering the food is a good idea for when it is busy and big food orders, it would have been quicker if the food was delivered by hand especially for a table of 2. Valerie that took our food order was the only decent host we liked & straight away corrected the chef's starter portion mistake, we liked her enthusiasm otherwise we would have rated 3 stars. The food itself was exceptional & arrived hot. I also understand that people have smoking habits but to leave the Bella Italia entrance to see three members of staff with a restaurant full of customers smoking on the side of the balcony is another possibility reason why the service was slow, not a great last impression to be honest. Bella Italia Lakeside is lucky to be getting a four star review to be honest.

Today we visited with our 6month old who was in his pushchair. we was was told that we were not aloud to have the push chair next to us or near the table , the lady at the front desk said that it was policy and she would get in trouble. Whilst we understand health and safety were the push chair was positioned no one would have had to go past or pass hot food over, we was offered a highchair but our child is far to small and unable to sit up. we was told that nothing she can do as she is responsible for safety. What concerns me is that we have used this restaurant in the past with and have brought our child to the restaurant and never turned away before. we will not be coming back.

Manager Galo is always greets you with a big smile and is so attentive to your needs. I am always happy to come back. Monique is also very nice.

As per usual, had an amazing meal here at Bella Italia. Food it’s always lovely, and the strawberry lemonade is also so good. The restaurant is clean, with outside seating looking over the lake. I was so impressed and surprised to see they are using serving robots, I did not expect this and was a lovely touch, they worked well. Different amount of seating, with some lovely artwork around. Got my usual Mushroom Al-Forno for starters, partner got Buffalo Hot Chicken Wings. This were warm, with lots of flavour. For mains I got my Pollo Funghi and my partner got spicy sausage. Incredible as usual. Booked at 4pm on a Saturday, not busy and had a relaxing atmosphere. Staff were nice and polite. Happy to help when needed. Although the app states blue light card can be used throughout the week, they don’t allow it on a Friday and Saturday. I think that this was let down. I don’t think it should affect the day of the week to use it. Overall a good meal.

We have come to bella italia many time however this time was our best experience as Monique from lakeside branch really made an effort to make sure we were comfortable and the kids enjoyed their meal. MONIQUE really helped the kids sit and enjoy their meal.

My partner and I ate here on Tuesday whilst we were out shopping. The food was incredible and the service was amazing! Galo was absolutely lovely and made sure that we were well looked after. We’ll definitely be back!

Worst service ever. I don’t know they don’t care about their customers. Made us standing in the gate for about 15mins and didn’t bother receiving and giving us a table even though there were plenty of free tables.

Visit regularly, never had a problem here and service is usually fast and food is delicious with good portion sizes. Fruit smash Mocktail is also delicious :)

Asked to be seated overlooking waterfront - rude staff said area was closed. Left us with menus and we never saw her again! Waited 10 minutes - then tried to place order for a drink via scan on our table - it said no online ordering possible. People around us waiting so we left - saw one lady behind counter and another leaning against it ON HER PHONE No-one asked why were leaving - we will not use Bella Italia again

Having been to other Bella Italia restaurants this was a bit of a let down. Clean and tidy, and food was still of a high quality but unfortunately the speed of service just let it down a little. We went as a group of 9 for my sons birthday on a Sunday and obviously appreciate that we would have to wait for our food, but just seemed unreasonably long. We arrived just before 5 and we're seated pretty much straight away, but after ordering drinks, these were all pretty much finished, apart from one which was forgotten, before they came back to collect the food order. Then this is where the extra waiting time came in, and the fact we saw others arriving, after us and eating before we actually got our food gives an idea of how long we waited. Overall, quite a pleasant atmosphere, just the service letting it down unfortunately although the waiting staff were pleasant enough.

Very slow service and sat the for an hour and thirty minutes for mains! Food was cold and overall had a bad experience. Normally like Bella Italia, but this was a bad visit.

Dropped in for a meal after Cinema and Bella Italia did not disappoint. Great service - (waitress/manageress) took time to have a joke and chat. Food and drink excellent- can recommend Beef in red wine tortellini and Pea and Courgette rice with a nice Espresso Martini and glass of sauvignon blanc. Had lovely view across the lake and were able to eat our meal without being rushed. Will definitely be back again. Thank you.

This place definitely deserves 5 stars. My girlfriends and I walked in for brunch without a reservation and the host was really kind. The food we ordered was great and the service was excellent. We had Lasagne and I especially like their sweet potato fries on the side. Galu and Monique were so nice and they had us smiling as we walked out the restaurant. Will certainly return and recommend!

Had a nice lunch .. lasagne a bit salty, pizza very good,pasta with duck very tasty Tiramisu not good. Hardly any mascapone ,cream or coffee flavour ..stodgy cake stuff...a bit of a disappointment.. Staff very friendly Coffee very good

Me and my daughter ate at Bella italia today We were served by Eden who was very attentive food and drinks were delivered promptly and she even kindly asked if we would like a break between our courses. She is a credit to Bella Italia the food was freshly cooked and we will be returning again for sure !!!

Fantastic food from the chefs, service from Maria and overall brilliant. One of the BEST Bella Italias we have been to. We recommend the Millanese, Malbec and Cookie dough!!!!

Not a great place for food and ambience. ZiZZI and Ask Italian are much better for the price. We ordered pizza and pasta vegetarian options both were terrible and wasn’t fresh.. Service is also not that great.

Wonderful ssrvice and Nice food

Me and my wife had a lovely lunch with Monique as of waitress, the food was lovely and the recommended dish from Monique was delightful. Monique was great help and so efficient, lovely and friendly.

Not a place to stop into on a walk through Lakeside, they have certain offers but then refer you to online terms and conditions instead of simply explaining anything. The pizza did not taste freshly prepared (frozen), the accompanying children's veg was predominantly cut sweet peppers, 1 stick of cucumber no carrot sticks. The big kids portion of pasta had about 5 penne with sauce. The adult portions not much better, the restaurant is money saving on the cheapest products (small portions of any pasta ordered) and charging close to £20 per plate. Be warned any fish is a very small thin fillet, not a whole fish. The lasagne is only 2 pasta layers and again very small. The staff do act like they cannot be bothered and alway try to rush you through your courses. Not recommended if you are out to enjoy a meal. Generally too expensive for the size and quality of the food. Not likely to visit again.
