Bella Italia - Lakeside in Thurrock

We visited your lakeside branch yesterday and were served by Monique. Honestly she’s the most friendly, welcoming and funny host. She couldn’t do enough for us despite being run ragged by a table of women and feral children that were causing utter carnage and messing up her whole area. She was so apologetic even under immense pressure. She’s a credit to you, please make sure she see’s our appreciation and is commended. As for the food I’m a coeliac, the pizza was amazing!! My family thoroughly enjoyed their food too so we’ll definitely be coming back!

🚨 ROBOT WAITER/WAITRESS🚨Great service with a smile, the food is what you would expect from a Italian restaurant chain, not outstanding but good value for money. I think the best thing here by far oa the robot server, I'd never seen one before!

Pizza was stone cold. Chicken in the chicken and mushroom pasta was delicious but the sauce tasted like tinned cream of mushroom soup. won't bother again.

Came on Friday night. Great meal with all my friends. Food was great and was served by Martyna who was hilarious throughout.

a really enjoyable experience at Bella Pasta today. We were served by the wonderful Daniela who provided service with a smile. We had a few dietary requirements which she handled exceptionally well even making sure with the chef upon receiving cooked dishes. She also recommended a delightful drink for my wife and I. Came to Bella with my family and the service was great. Loved the robot!! We were greeted at the door when we arrived and when we left. The food was amazing. The manager Emiliono was great as he did rounds to make sure we were all fine. Will definitely go to Bella again when I visit my family in the future. Felt very welcome and staff were very well organised.

Lovely food as always except the Tiramasu which was dry. Good choice for allergies. Service was a little slow but it was busy.

Carbonara was tasteless, pizza okay. Service was alright, if you’re looking for value for money I wouldn’t come here Also they have now got robots that do the job lol. Might as well have self service counters too

Monique looked after us this evening, was helpful with recommending us our food (which was spot on), checked in with us regularly, was chatty and extremely welcoming. Unfortunately there was a table who were clearly there to get a free meal. Monique emphasised, offered them reductions on their meal, and acted in a completely professional manner towards their unreasonable demands. A recommendation should be made towards her professionalism. Absolutely AMAZING waitress, would come back again because of her, she is a true asset to the company!

Came to Bella Italia at the Thurrock lakeside restaurant for my mums 86th Birthday. Party of 8 and all travelled quite far as this is my mums favourite restaurant Couldn’t fault it. The service was amazing, the food delicious and the atmosphere was incredible Was served by a lady called Maria who was so lovely. She did everything to make our dining experience for my mum special. She was friendly kind and could t do enough for us. Also Galo was also brilliant,kept making sure we were all looked after and he too was friendly Would definitely recommend Bella Italia lakeside

Great food but was told to download there app so I did. The app gave me a £10 off coupon but the manager claimed it could not be used as the store wasn’t updated. Not my problem she should have honored it. She about many people upset about the same thing.

Such an amazing place to visit. The food is amazing and staff are always with a smile on their faces. If you don’t know get to know!! Definitely worth giving it a visit ( ask to sit by the window the views are amazing

The food was great, came really fast and was very well cooked. Unfortunately this was overshadowed by the poor service. The staff were all rude and made us feel unwelcome in the restaurant. Such a shame as the food was great.

Definitely better than the Bella Italias in central London. Bbq chicken pizza, Ribs, fries and the new chicken fries are great here. Would recommend

Came for a quick lunch today. Was greeted quickly and welcomed in. Martyna served us and was funny and attentive. Was delighted when our food arrived on A ROBOT. WHAT!!!!! 10/10 will defo be back.

It was our first visit to the Lakeside Branch, first impressions were somewhat good. We got seated straight as we came through the door, which is a great first impression although it would have been more appropriated if we got seated with a little welcoming conversation starter and a smile, rather than a 'I had enough' facial expression. We understood the hot weather might have an effect on everyone's mood but at the end of the day, we are paying customers expecting more than excellent customer service. Although the robot delivering the food is a good idea for when it is busy and big food orders, it would have been quicker if the food was delivered by hand especially for a table of 2. Valerie that took our food order was the only decent host we liked & straight away corrected the chef's starter portion mistake, we liked her enthusiasm otherwise we would have rated 3 stars. The food itself was exceptional & arrived hot. I also understand that people have smoking habits but to leave the Bella Italia entrance to see three members of staff with a restaurant full of customers smoking on the side of the balcony is another possibility reason why the service was slow, not a great last impression to be honest. Bella Italia Lakeside is lucky to be getting a four star review to be honest.

Today we visited with our 6month old who was in his pushchair. we was was told that we were not aloud to have the push chair next to us or near the table , the lady at the front desk said that it was policy and she would get in trouble. Whilst we understand health and safety were the push chair was positioned no one would have had to go past or pass hot food over, we was offered a highchair but our child is far to small and unable to sit up. we was told that nothing she can do as she is responsible for safety. What concerns me is that we have used this restaurant in the past with and have brought our child to the restaurant and never turned away before. we will not be coming back.

Manager Galo is always greets you with a big smile and is so attentive to your needs. I am always happy to come back. Monique is also very nice.

As per usual, had an amazing meal here at Bella Italia. Food it’s always lovely, and the strawberry lemonade is also so good. The restaurant is clean, with outside seating looking over the lake. I was so impressed and surprised to see they are using serving robots, I did not expect this and was a lovely touch, they worked well. Different amount of seating, with some lovely artwork around. Got my usual Mushroom Al-Forno for starters, partner got Buffalo Hot Chicken Wings. This were warm, with lots of flavour. For mains I got my Pollo Funghi and my partner got spicy sausage. Incredible as usual. Booked at 4pm on a Saturday, not busy and had a relaxing atmosphere. Staff were nice and polite. Happy to help when needed. Although the app states blue light card can be used throughout the week, they don’t allow it on a Friday and Saturday. I think that this was let down. I don’t think it should affect the day of the week to use it. Overall a good meal.
