went here today with my friends and family and the waitress and bartender mayson was absolutely smashing it like always made our drinks and got our food order out as soon as it was ready didn’t have to wait even tho was busy

Myself my Fiancée and our children had a lovely meal out at the treacle mine. The value was great and food was good quality pub food. The waitress Willow Gibson went above and beyond to make our visit pleasurable and was great with the children. Her natural friendly manner didn’t go in noticed. Thank you

The service was lovely all the staff was respectful quick service bartender and waitresses willow was very polite made sure our food was correct and we had a great time would definitely recommend and will be definitely coming back!

The garden is perfect for young children and babies as it is enclosed and gated. Food was lovely and friendly staff

I had steak well done and after I scraped the welded bits off there was enough to fit on a dessert spoon. Fries were nearly non existing and only 2 small onion rings. Value for money was too much for what I had, would avoid this place and go for somewhere like a Harvester you're bound to get more value for money.

Food was great. Took a long time to be delivered given that the restaurant was almost ready Fire alarm went off twice. It was a false alarm but we had little confidence that staff were trained in what to do.

The face was terrible absolutely vile my mum had Hair in her food, garlic bread was hard

Haven't been here in a few years, so thought we'd give it a try. Food amazing steak & rib perfectly done. Service was great, especially from the two managers. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was that there was bit of a wait on food coming out. It wasn't that busy either. Overall definitely be back again soon

Food was very good and price also very good. On the whole great value. Had a slight hiccup with ordering but can confidently say I'm sure it's not the norm. In any event the staff went out of their way to make up for it.

Lovely food, breakfast strawberry waffle is beautiful and the deserts are to die for, Nacho’s with the cheese and spring onions are refreshing.

Hi I came across this place in a area I am not familiar with, I noticed the billboards, serving breakfast, I love a fry up but tend not make a habit to eat them often, I am very fussy with food, as I Train and like to keep in shape, but have weakness in food, this was one of the best breakfast I had Eaten, compliments to the chef is very clued up on preparing food, the bacon was grilled and still delicious, the FRESH mushrooms was grilled, Tomatoes, Eggs, hash browns with toast and beans, it was amazing and even more amazing the price: five pound something I paid. Forget the greasy cafes. As well as breakfast they serve Lunch and dinner the menu is extensive and something for everyone at very reasonable price, the offer at mo is 2 lots of cod and chips £12.50, these places are rare, even better they have music and Karaoke on Saturdays, definitely looking forward to going back there, on a Saturday as I know the food will be scrumptious, will enjoy it thoroughly, and a bonus the beautiful surrounding’s outside in the garden. I would highly recommend this place, please try it and give your feed back to the place that truly deserve a five star from me. A reminder do not do what I done, as it was my first visit I was totally oblivious to the signs to Register your car until I received a notification to my dismay one week later for a parking fine, so I called the Treacle mine direct and spoke to Emma, she had great customer service skills, very attentive, immediately took my details to cancel my fine and confirmed by email. We've given this venue a couple of chances but we have now consistently seen issues with the service. The 1st time with a party there was a huge delay with most dishes and a couple were incorrect. This last visit we ordered 3 starters and a chicken sharer platter to be served together. After waiting an hour 2 of the smaller dishes arrived and the waitress advised they had run out of chicken so couldn't provide the sharer platter. How on earth does it take an hour to decide a menu item wasn't available? I'm also amazed on realising this they failed to check with us if we wanted to proceed with the order in it's entirety. The quality of the dishes we did receive were not really on a par to the price so I'm afraid that's the last of the chances this restaurant gets. The pub element of the venue is OK with a variety of events taking place but they don't have enough staff to cope with the drinks. All in all not great.

I put this note because of the staff, I have an application from this restaurant and I tell the bartender that I have 1 free drink but he tries to explain that I need another code, I understand that he is trying to pretend to be something else but that's why you have received such a note.

I thought it was amazing! All of the staff were really friendly and the food was delicious, the Cadbury lovers sundae in particular was amazing and the presentation was perfect.

The food was spot on but the service provided by a lovely girl called Kelsie really made our experience ten time better, she was so attentive and really helpful!

As always the food was tasty just as described. As it was a Monday the pub was quiet but the staff were friendly and helpful.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for the great service and food . Sam greeted us and showed us to our table. We had breakfast for 10 on Father’s Day . Although they were short staffed you wouldn’t have known MJ and Jason were in the kitchen. We had a wonderful time as we always do at the treacle mine. Thanks again Darren aka Gary

They've messed up the first order after waiting over half an hour then had to wait half an hour more to bring the right order. The second order didn't even come and when we asked the lady manager after over 2 hours of waiting she said they couldn't find us and got refunded . They could find us the first time but not the second time? We were in the garden at the same table. Definitely didn't deserve the £15 tip we left after placing the first order. What a joke!

Really enjoyed the food, menu has changed a little since I was last year and I tried the new chicken pie. Always a warm welcome and a cold drink, what more could you want from a pub!

The menu has recently changed a little, some options for the better, others not. Waited nearly 45mins for food which is not acceptable. The chip portions are tiny and my daughters chips were horrible and hard, they'd obviosuly been sitting around for ages. Not a great experience

Unfortunately was not a pleasant experience. Food was bland, took over 45 minutes to arrive and wasn’t overally busy. Communication was poor and items were missing from order. Not the restauranta fault but kids running left, right and centre which little parenting so was a nightmare of a dining experience! My hunters chicken was not great. Such a shame because the waitress did seem stressed and was lovely.

We went on a Friday night, was busy, nice atmosphere, lovely staff, great music thanks to DJ Marky B, we had a good night 👍💯🙂

Service was terrible, staff were miserable and swearing No cutlery or condiments , staff did not care . Our order was wrong, nothing was done about it. Food was horrible and overcooked

We booked for dinner and drinks for 6:30pm, was shown to our table. We then decided what to eat and came to the till and was advised there would be a 2 hour plus wait for food due to a birthday party and the kitchen are busy preparing their buffet. Bare in mind we were not told this when we arrived. By this point some of us had already ordered from the app as we were not aware of this beforehand so the rest of us felt we needed to continue with our order. Food arrived at completely different times, then my friend who had an allergy to nuts and let the lady know taking our order, when her food arrived only 1 plate arrived with an allergy flag. We asked if the others had been flagged as an allergy plate (bare in mind my friend even ordered seperately ) the waiter told us he would double check. The manager Shaun then come out and asked if we had advised the lady we ordered with at the bar if she had an allergy, we confirmed we had and that she ordered seperately etc. He then asked "have you eaten those?" Referring to the prawns she had ordered, she said no because thats what we wanted to check as there is no allergy flag. He apologised and explained that she should have been shown the list of allergens when ordering and process wasnt followed. As a good will gesture we were given a round of drinks on the house, which was appreciated. However we still hadnt received half of our food over 2 hours later. The chicken wings came out very pale. The food wasn't that great at all and we left the majority of it. We can appreciate the bar staff were busy however if there was a party booked we would have appreciated being notified beforehand considering i had also called up the day before to amend my booking to 7 people and also ask what time they stopped serving food. I therefore wouldnt return here

Visited for dinner on a Friday Evening. It was quite busy and we were lucky to get a table having not reserved one. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food came quickly and was good quality especially for the cheap prices. Free parking just remember to register your car.

Having made an error on a booking at another restaurant for Mother's Day and not being able to find anywhere else who could cater for us at short notice I was really surprised to be able to get a table for 7 people at 6.30 today and wasn't expecting much. However I was very pleasantly surprised. The Staff, despite having a super busy day were friendly, helpful and very professional, and the food was absolutely delicious. There was a bit of a delay on the desserts but that didn't mar the visit. One very happy family. Thank you Treacle Mine for saving the day!

Breakfast looked lovey it was only lukewarm so had to eat of quick but it was tasty and there was unlimited tea coffee and toast so that was a bonus

We booked a table for Mother’s Day and when ordering food they had no gammon. limited chicken no chicken wraps. Felt sorry for my mum and wife as we left without ordering food

Came for breakfast with my partner, steak and eggs were cooked perfectly, thank you to the chef. The classic breakfast was also very nice too. Staff very friendly, accomodating and polite. Best breakfast we've had out for a long time would highly recommend.

Had sirloin stake. No taste and chewy. The fried onions looked like onions but didnt taste like onions they were horrid. Shandy tasted just like lemonade. Wasnt happy the last time I went there ai will not be going again.

What a fun night, and a fun pub. The food is great, the choices are many and when served the food was piping hot, amd there was plenty of it ! The drinks (and food) are very well priced, and there are always good offers to be had if pennies are tight. We were there in a quiz night and what a brilliant, fun quiz it was, varied rounds and good laughs had. The staff are always really welcoming and pleasant here, they'll always stop for a quick chat if they can do so. We had a great night, really enjoyed it. Well done to the team there.

The day was very cold and the central heating is constantly switched off to accomodate the staff instead of the patrons. It was not pleasant

Went here for a pub quiz on a Wednesday night with friends. Nice friendly atmosphere with cash prizes to be won. You can tell the manager Emma really wants for everyone to have a great time. Well Organised and delivered. Chicken wings were nice and service was speedy. Will be back soon! X
