Had a great experience eating here! The food was served quickly and tasted very nice! Whilst waiting they had some educational drawing activities for the kids to do which kept them entertained and preoccupied whilst learning - and when the food arrived it was served hot and tasted very nice and fresh! The staff are friendly and accommodating, plus know the menu and dishes, as within our group there were some with allergies, to which they reassured us which dishes we could have and which ones to avoid. Highly recommend and look forwards to eating here again soon!

I have been to busaba a few times now and each time, their customer service improves! Although my family are a loud & messy (x3 children) the waiters have always been soo considerate, in particular Ozan, he has been attentive to our needs and most importantly kind.

OVERPRICED BASIC FREEZER FOOD. Took my wife and son to this restaurant. As we'd not been there before for a treat, I really wish we hadn't The only thing that was okay was the calamari. The spring rolls were overcooked. Brittle and crispy. My son and I had duck with noodles, which were the instant type that you get in a packet that you add boiling water to for about 65p. The duck was also overcooked and chewy. My wife had the lamb shank and she was disappointed.The shank itself was small and the meat was chewy.There was a small amount of potatoes like hash brown rolled in a ball, and as with the Asian Mixed Greens all of the vegetables seemed to be mostly pakchoi stem. We also had the pork skewers, which were mostly pork fat and cereal. Not very tasty and small as well. Topping off this farce was my wife's glass of wine, which cost £12... They also automatically add a 10% service charge to your bill. There are no pictures of the food on the menu or in the restaurant, now I know why. It seems like the owners are trying to make as much money as they can. By serving the cheapest food they're able to get away with. I'd never go back there again and my honest advice is stay away. Save your money and eat elsewhere.

Beautiful food, honestly delicious but huge portion of rice, I couldn't eat it all. Food was really fast to come out and server even offered to keep it under the lamp till my partner came back from the bathroom. Would come again when in the area.

Overall, we had a good experience and enjoyed the food. We tried cocktails, started and Jasmine rice which was served with a fried egg. I accidentally bit into a small piece of eggshell before realizing it was there, which was a bit of a turn-off. It would have been even better without the unexpected crunch!

We arrived at 8:35 pm on Tuesday and the hostess asked us that we can only sit and order if we can do eat and leave in 20 minutes! As the restaurant was closing at 9pm. We left and ate at Nando’s which (along with all other restaurants in that section) was open till 10pm. The hostess was assertive and we got the vibe that they are encouraging us not to sit down as it was impossible to order and eat within 20 minutes! She was firm that we must leave by 9pm. I found it odd considering you are part of a big mall and every other restaurant was open till 10pm.

Lovely lunch for two with amazing food and good service. The manager, Ozan, was amazing and made us feel like home. He was patient and talked us through the menu, as it was our first time in the restaurant. Price is really acceptable for the food quality. Good to find this little gem locally. Will definitely be on my favorite list for my next shopping spree. Thank you Ozan and team!

The food was good, we were given a pineapple mockolada, it was too sweet to drink. We sent back and the blonde female that served us was not very understanding and she was very dismissive and abruptly took the drink, throughout our time dining she was very had a bad attitude. We won’t be back. The Asian man that served us was polite and I just can’t believe this woman actually has a job her customer service is atrocious! Her name is Ieva.

Had a really bad experience today with a brand that I love, me and my wife came for lunch with our little one and ordered the regular items and was astonished with what got served. We had the Thai green chicken curry which was flavourless and watery like soup, when we asked the waitress if this was the new norm to which we got a reply yes. Not only that but the tempura was rock hard and burnt. Our little one had the pad Thai which she regularly loves, however she did not like one bit and we ended up wasting the dish aswell. Had to go to elsewhere instead!

The atmosphere was great, and the place looked clean and inviting. I visited on a Sunday afternoon when it wasn't busy, allowing me to choose my preferred seating. The service was excellent, and the food arrived quickly. Now, let's discuss the food. I ordered the peppered beef noodles, a mojito cocktail, and the calamari. Unfortunately, the cocktail had too much ice, although it was still drinkable. The calamari wasn't my favorite but was still edible. However, the beef was quite unappetizing; it tasted expired and the dish was excessively seasoned. I've never encountered anything like it and couldn't finish the meal. The only thing I enjoyed was the prawn crackers, but you can't visit a restaurant just for prawn crackers. Overall, I would definitely avoid this restaurant in the future.

Very disappointed. Food arrived cold. I ordered Chicken Green Curry. It arrived in a small bowl. Rice arrived in a plastic bag! No flavour whatsoever. The curry was neon green in colour. My partner ordered Crispy duck noodles. Very bland and dry no sauce to go with it. All in all we left unhappy 🙁 won't be going there again. Sorry.

I had a wonderful time at the restaurant! Had one of the best service. The person who served me, Gergana, was very lovely, kind and patient. And was answering and explaining to every question i asked her about the menu.

We had a delicious pad Thai and pepper beef noodles, on the sunny terrace. The children's menu is lovely as well: curries, stir fried rice etc no nuggets and fries but actual food! The terrace music is not too loud and the lake is lovely.

Went for lunch. Setting and decor is very nice. Mango lassi was delicious. The food was a little disappointing. We had the seafood Pad Thai and the Bang Kapil rice bowl. The Pad Thai was lacking in flavour but the rice bowl was very disappointing, chicken was totally over cooked to the point it was crispy and chewy. We told the waitress who offered to redo it but was likely to come out the same. For the price I think the quality of food was well below par I'm afraid.

Avoid at all costs spent over £100 on a couple of dishes and the food was terrible I've never been to a place like it, my 4 yea old eat anything an EVERYTHING even he didn't like something as simple please as the rice there wasn't 1 nice thing here and definitely avoid if your wanting proper thai food

The calamari was exceptional here and the peppercorn really elevated the flavour. Unfortunately, after the starters, it went downhill in terms of quality and taste. The chilli prawn rice was oily and lacked the chilli punch. The sloppy texture ruined its potential. The jungle curry contained mushy chicken which ruined an already bad dish. Overall, an underwhelming experience and there are other branches of this restaurant that do a much better job. That being said, they did knock off the items which we advised were subpar

We came for dinner and was really impressed! We had a young child and baby and they were very welcoming and the menu choice for kids is great, plus they had an offer that children ate for free. The food we chose was really tasty, will definitely return.

Title: Extremely Disappointing Dining Experience at Bupasa Thai Restaurant AVOID IF YOU WANT REAL THAI FOOD EXPERIENCE I recently dined at Bupasa Thai Restaurant and I must say, it was an incredibly underwhelming experience. From the lackluster flavors to the abysmal service, this restaurant failed to meet even the lowest of expectations. Let's start with the Red Prawn Curry, which I specifically requested to be spicy. Much to my dismay, it lacked any discernible flavor or spice. It was as if they completely disregarded my request. I have had better homemade curries that packed more punch than this disappointment. Next up, the Chicken Satay. I couldn't help but notice the complete absence of flavor in the satay sauce. It seemed as if they had run out of peanuts and tried to pass off a lackluster imitation. It was a sad excuse for a satay dish and left me craving the real deal. And don't even get me started on the Tom Sam salad. It was by far the worst salad I have ever tasted. Not only was it bland, but it lacked any hint of spiciness. It was as if they forgot to add any seasoning whatsoever. I could have easily made a more flavorful and enjoyable salad at home. To add insult to injury, the service was abysmal. I waited for an hour for subpar food, only to be slapped with a 10% service charge. What service? All they did was bring the food out to me. I received no sort of attentive or personalized service that would warrant such a charge. It felt like a blatant attempt to squeeze more money out of unsuspecting customers. I was actually ready to leave when another diner had the audacity to say keep it (rudely) when my child was playing with a spoon. I was tempted to send the food back, but I didn't want to come across as rude. However, the audacity of the 10% service charge has compelled me to write this review. Bupasa Thai Restaurant has failed on all fronts - from tasteless dishes to lackluster service. Save yourself the disappointment and seek out better Thai cuisine elsewhere.

Food was great. Haven’t been for while still taste as great as before definitely a good place to have lunch or dinner and wasn’t busy as well so we could get a seat but we went around 4 pm.

I was seated at 1.30- it’s now 2.50- with no sign of my food- I was so engrossed in my conversation, I only realised an hour later, they offered free drinks, but there was a lot of shrugging of shoulders, and claiming they were busy, but it was only at half capacity. Finally I got fed up and left- I rarely get to do a toddler free lunch, so needless to say they ruined it- oh and to top it all off- WE HAD ONLY ORDERED SMALL PLATES!

A genuine Thai experience, food was as realistic and nearly as good as the country! if you’re missing that real thai food make sure to get down to Busaba where the friendly staff will serve you. We was lucky enough to have Gergana who was quick, friendly and made sure we was enjoying our food. Overall make sure you get down to Busaba, absolutely brilliant!

This was a disappointing experience. I used to be a Busaba Eathai regular when it first launched in London just over a decade ago. I would eat at the Hoxton one, the Oxford Street one, the Chelsea one before it closed, the Greenwich one and the Kingston one. I was never left disappointed by any of my experiences which is why I kept going back for more. Unfortunately I left London in 2016 and Busaba Eathai became a distant memory. To my surprise I ran into the Lakeside one recently and I was so excited, I managed to convince my friend that we should go there. Sadly the experience did not meet expectations. Three issues came up for me. 1. The waitress we had was so abrupt and lacking in courtesy (short girl wearing glasses). She even came to our table whilst we were still having our small plates and started picking up the plates to clear the table before checking whether or not we were done. As it turned out, we were not done. She was so rude. 2. I expected that being a thai restaurant, there would be chopsticks as standard, but it turned out they didn't and the waiter literally had to scrape the barrel to find some chopsticks. Chopsticks were the standard in all my past experiences of the establishments in London. Being a Southeast Asia inspired establishment, one would think they would want to go for the authentic feel. What was also cool about the original concept as experienced in London is that table seating would be shared with random groups of people and strangers. That was also part of the authentic feel. However, this restaurant was different and sadly reminded me of the overrated establishment called Wagamamas. 3. When it came to paying, it turned they don't accept American Express. Most establishments worth their salt in today's world accept American Express. It was disappointing this one doesn't. Finally, when it came to the food, I found it okay but not enough to tempt me back, unfortunately. My friend who I introduced to this restaurant for the first time also found it average. On top of everything, there is an imposed service charge, despite poor service. I understand the restaurant is catering to an Essex population which is low maintenance, and with less wordly exposure compared to the London one, but it's sad to see what was once a unique establishment, become another Wagamama's.

I brought my family here for Mother’s Day and the dining experience did not disappoint. The cocktails were lovely, the food was simply delicious and the service was 5 stars. We stayed for 3 courses and handed the table back at the end of our time slot which was more than enough time to eat, talk and enjoy the lovely atmosphere. The calamari and steak were cooked to perfection 👌 not overcooked and rubbery as some places serve. The classic pad Thai was scrumptious and did not disappoint with the peanuts served on the side allowing me to choose how crunchy I wanted it. The tofu was nicely done as well. My mother absolutely loved the sorbet flavours offered for dessert and the banana pancakes and vanilla ice cream was a welcomed treat. We advised them of an allergy or intolerance and they were very diligent and attentive to this. Often checking before serving each course. Portion sizes were reasonable and so was the pricing. Definitely value for money and I intend to go back.

Came here for a Mother's Day lunch with my sister, my Mum & Wife (two birds with one stone 😁). Great starters to begin with which we shared between ourselves: two calamaris, some pork ribs and the pork skewers; all very tasty. For the mains, my sister and I had the tamarind duck, while my Mum and Wife had the lamb shank and sirloin steak respectively; also all very tasty. Finished off with dessert: chocolate fondant for Mrs, banana fritters for Big Sis, mango sorbets for my Mum and I had the sticky mango rice, with a cappuccino post-feast. Overall, good food and nice, friendly staff. My only criticism was the speed and delivery of service; it took a bit longer than I expected it to take. When the food arrived, the starters and mains were brought altogether, which I found a bit odd. Other than that, a nice day out.

We were a party of 8 that did not have a reservation so it was fortunate that they were able to seat us on a Thursday evening. They didn’t have a lot of staff members working so the restaurant was half seated. Service was good as the waitress was very friendly and helpful. I have only ever been to Busaba once before and that was over 10 years ago in Manchester, so we thought we would try again. Food wise was a bit disappointing, more westernised versions of food and definitely not authentic tasting. The dishes weren’t as flavoursome as it could be. The Tom yum goong had egg noodles inside that didn’t really make it taste any better as it was very sweet. The roti was probably the best dish as we ordered seconds. We wanted to try the pandan chicken starter but it was not available so we tried the pork skewers. They did not have the banana fritter either. I was excited to try the mango sticky rice but it was another disappointment. Flavour was there, but the mango bits was very dry. Unfortunately, I don’t think we would be coming back again.

So disappointed with this restaurant and its food. I would if I could give this a zero if I could. This is a multiple seater restaurant. I went with my mother and father who had visited and wanted Thai food. We were sat beside a table that had food from a previous diner on the floor and under the table. A couple with a loud baby were seated right next to us which made our experience worse as it kept crying. We ordered the duck and noodles which was served with a sauce made with too much fish sauce. The duck was cold and had soggy duck fat. I had a beef fried noodle dish that was smeared with ground black pepper. I can only presume that the chef had liberally spilled the pepper in error. My beef was cold and the noodles had egg that had split. The only bonus was the tamerind duck we ordered with rice this was hot and tasty. Overall for what we received it was too expensive. Like a pot noodle but worse. Staff and chef lacked any love for food. Basic errors here which should have been addressed I was left feeling genuinely disappointed and will not be coming back.

The food was good. Since we were in hurry we went to the till and paid. But the lady at the till didn't give the bill. She just told me the amount and added to the card reader. I just tapped my card and paid. When I reached home I realised that she cheated me by overcharging more than £10. My advice to the customers, please check your bill before paying. I can't complain about the food. It was delicious.

Wonderful food, wonderful experience and wonderful hosts. Don’t miss the Calamari, Bang kapi Katsu or Green chicken curry. And the drink Koh Phi Phi… Ms Age was our host and she was simply superb. She took every detail of our requests & allergy information and catered to us with a beautiful smile and humility. It surprised us to know that she was the manager and so we were impressed by her courtesy and teamwork. The other staff including the male staff were also very helpful and welcoming. Food is great, ambience is good and the staff are excellent.

So we waited 35 minutes for our food to arrive and when it did it was warm at best. The pad thai was easily 50% bean sprouts. The spring roll starters were very oily and overcooked. Nobody came to check.and see if we were ok despite numerous staff on duty. Overall very disappointing.

Mains weren’t any better…rank Thai green curry and the duck noodles I’m pretty sure were super noodles! £20 for beef brisket and barely any beef! Safe to say we won’t return. Positives were the prawn crackers and the rose wine!

Disgusting to the point I wanted to throw up. Do not go if you're looking for authentic Thai food. However, if you're looking for an overpriced Westernised version of that I would highly recommend this place.

My partner and I had an unexpected trip to lakeside today and ended up having dinner here, I will start with the positives: The manager initially greeted us and sat as down while providing us with some feedback about the menu, she was really polite and provided a great service. The restaurant is really well decorated and as it was quiet it was a nice atmosphere. The calamari which was recommended by the manager was amazing, I dont like seafood but that calamari I would order it again! The negatives: Once the manager explained the menu to us a waiter took over her and the vibe changed completely, it went from a great service to a terrible one. For some reason the waiter opted to ignore us, after a long time passed, he would keep passing next to us and taking orders from other people that had arrived to the restaurant aftet us and avoiding taking ours for some reason! My partner and I after trying to catch his attention several times finally got our order taken. We then asked for water and he brought us stacked glasses and the water, he then left not even taking the glasses apart and serving the water...which sort of reflects his bad service. No one came to ask how are food was and when we said we would like to order dessert, no one took our dinner plates, in fact we even paid the bill and the dinner plates were still there (you can see in the picture uploaded) My partner and I ordered the chilli beef and jasmin rice and it was terrible, the beef smelled funny and had no good flavour, the food was so spicy you could only taste the spicyness. I like spicy food but that was an extreme amount of spicy, the amount of rice they serve you is unnecesary, kind of like trying to get you full mainly on rice. The egg was nicely cooked though. As it was too spicy and not really tasty we both ended up leaving quite alot of our plate. Also forgot to mention we specifically asked for the calamari to come as a starter and it actually came after our mains! My advise, that member of staff requires more training or perhaps thats not the job for him, you could also reduce the spice a bit and improve the quality of your mince meat while adding more flavour to it aswell.

Do not waste your money going here, when you could heat up frozen food at home. Avoid!!
