McDonald's in Thurrock

Food below par. It's only a McDonald's but other McDonald's are better. Cold chips, burger cold and lacking condiments but smothered in sauce. Go else where. Gave me no sauces with my meal. Had to buy them.

This is the most useless place. Qued for 20 mins, still not served staff clearly don't want to work!! Arguing with each other. Still no food!! I walked out

The employees here seem so sad and stressed out.. McDonald’s care for your staff more I always get depressing vibes from your franchises

It's a typical McDonald's. But it can get very ramo with nowhere to sit at times.

Very poor experience. They were not coping and because food snd drinks come from different sources within the restaurant there is no cohesion and it doesn’t take a lot to know off the Quality and Service aspects of their customer vision. I had to reorder my breakfast muffin because the recipe was wrong. Food was literally thrown together. Coffees sitting on the side for 10 minutes or more. The order itself took 20 minutes to deliver and it was bit like waiting for something at Argos. Won’t use again. They were completely out of control and service fell apart as a result. The main problem with McDonalds new modus operandi is that with the old ‘bin’ system they could relate products to customers and delivery much faster. Now they have to track individual ingredients based on footfall (much more difficult task) and if you run out of one cooked ingredient you can’t make certain items. That is what happened here. I find consistency between restaurants suffers astonishingly. Also not enough hand washing taking place.

There was green stuff in my egg McMuffin which looks like mould, won’t be ordering again

More hygiene and food handling is needed particular on this lakeside Macdonald's

It's McDonald's so we all know what we are going to get, but this one is particularly busy, and seating is quite a challenge.

Food was warm at best, no seats so we sat in the car park so it’s not like the take away had far to go. The sauce that was selected on the machines weren’t given, chips had never seen a bit of salt, and no coke original. I understand that it was a busy bank holiday Monday, however the staff seemed to be busy doing nothing. One staff member was complaining how warm it is, asking the manager if he can make himself a drink as he is so thirsty. The only person who looked overwhelmed/ a bit stressed was the guy trying to hand out orders, while being pulled to jump on a till as ‘he is the one signed in’. I wish I got his name, considering the stress he was ever so polite. He gave us part of the meal, when we said we had ordered other things he apologised as someone had placed food onto the counter which moved the tickets and other food about.

i went to this mcdonald’s on saturday 2nd of march and rocco was absolutely brilliant! he was working on so many stations as well as his own and still smashed it! my food and drinks came out quickly and i am very thankful. well done to rocco for doing a brilliant job on multiple stations!

Not bad place to eat only have to order without a bun for gluten free

Thank you for reminding me why I don’t visit your restaurant. After a long wait and wondering what’s going with my small order of just a cheese burger and a coffee with orders being collected that were 15 past my number. I had to look and speak up to see the coffee sitting on a shelf with a bag next to it with my order number on it. I really appreciate the grown and the roll of the eyes from your staff member for having the nerve to ask for my food that had just been sitting there for quite some time. Just what I wanted, a stone cold coffee and burger 👍🏽

Two happy meals prepared within minutes but left under lamp for ten minutes while a cheeseburger and some chicken selects were prepared. Why it took so long for two basic items I was not told. The original happy meals were reluctantly replaced. Arrived home to find a large fries, from a meal, were missing along with the duos I ordered. It was not that busy for such poor service.

Great McDonald’s within easy access of the bus station and multi-storey car park. The usual touch screens and app functionality is available. Food was hot and fresh. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Haven't been to a McD's for a while now and after visiting this branch tonight I think it will be a LONG time before I go back. 1) Order screen didn't give a receipt or order number so had to go an try to interupt one of the serving team's private conversation to find out my order number. (Previous customer complained of this 4 months ago - still not fixed) 2) Then the wait began. . . and wait . . . .and wait. 3) The 2 lads behind the counter spent more time laughing and joking than preparing "fast" food. Hence the wait - but the food was still cold! How! 4) Chips tasted like cold soggy cardboard and my burger was well under the 63 degrees stipulated by the Food Standards agency. If I thought it would do any good I'd complain to the head office - awful. Get a proper manager in there to kick some butts

Love popping in here for a coffee when walking our dogs.

Many empty seats compared to the one on the other side. But always a mess. Do not sit at the back, loads of food flies everywhere. Can't believe this branch has started charging for Dips now. The amount of money they make, they start charging for sauces.

Always love going lakeside been going there since I was young like 15 and I always pick lakeside over westfield.... car park is free there and loads restaurants on top floor in the centre and also has load down Brompton walk also where the bug wheel is

Food is always good, but waiting time is a bit longer compared to other Mcdonald's

All McDonalds are basically the same and I got the usual service I get from aby other McDonalds. In and out, very busy, but lots of self service screens to move along the queues, well staffed and quick service.

The chips were very salty. The staff was friendly but inside the store was bad, there was a lot of food on the floor, the tables were dirty and very busy.

Najhorší MC Donald. Oklamali ma o jedlo. Došla som domov a zistila som, že mi chaba jeden wrap., a ešte aj za body co som si kúpila hranoly. Fakt v živote tam nevkrocim.

The service was extremely slow and although they got our order right the food was assembled haphazardly and was barely Luke warm and although there weren't that many people in there all of the tables seemed occupied so we had to stand outside the shop and eat our food

Packed, no friendly atmosphere, food just warm not hot. Nowhere near as good as Burger King at Bluewater.

A quick snack made in good time …

No receipt was given for my order, so this made it difficult to know my order number. I had to ask for help. Assistant was helpful. The food was hot and tasted good.

Love a mcflurry in the hot weather but I'm sure the new ordering systems are slower

Ordered via self service screen and selected table service. The order was brought promptly to the table. The assistant asked if we wanted any sauces which they then went and got for us. Fries were very salty.

Coffee lukewarm sometimes, chip go cold very quickly. Children running about and too many on their phones to care. Staff work hard to clear and clean . Try not to go too often

Your standard McDonald's the food there is ok. But there is always a wait for it. Nice service and it's easy to order on the self service tills. One thing to note they never seem to have receipt paper in them. So make sure you know your number when you have ordered.

Perhaps one of the worst McD's we had been in for a while? Really... if it wasn't for the kids really wanting it I do wonder how often I would ever visit a McD's! This one presented us with an order panel that didn't work, then another one that couldn't give a receipt, cold fries and a lack of tomato sauce...! I have given it two stars (rather than 1) as we had table service and the young lady who bought the food over was very polite.

Common sense reminder. If milkshakes have been ordered (check if it was on the app) & BRING STRAWS …. then DONT BLAME THE CUSTOMER when you have to walk back inside and get some!

Everything in McDonald's seems to be worse these days. Service is much slower than it was, the food seems to be less of everything you order, portion size has shrunk, but all their prices have increased. For a company that makes millions of pounds profit, surely they can afford to lower their profit margins by at least 5 percent and give everyone a better deal. They are just another greedy American company who really show that they don't care about their customers; but they care about their profits first. That's not good for business. I'm sure that if people boycotted them for just 24 hours they'd think again.

Not eaten in McDonald's for over 30 years, was awful then. May have improved but aren't there better options???????

Great hospitality to me and my adopted family from dupek, got a new bike from him as he was struggling to walk as he was fried off his nuts thank you very much for the experience god bless dupek and his family , wishing them many more kids In The future inshalla they will grow up to be an inspiration like they’re father dupek. McDonald’s on lakeside shopping centre -it worse I ever been!!!!ordered a sprite but has been served with tap water when i ask to change it , they’re promised to provide me with .I come back to my table,but after 15 minutes was already finished my meal with no drink!!!!!!was back to counter and complain about -the short very rude yang lady probably supervisor started to shout at me and call me rude because of my complaint…..was very disappointed Mc Donald’s take to work staff like that!!!!

Was happy with my food even with self service machine error the manager was still there to sort things out without fuse

This is actually the best McDonald's to go to in lakeside. It's out of the way. We also found that the food tastes better here then the alternative the other side of lakeside. The staff kept up with the all the meals and oddly tasted fresher. We really enjoyed our meal here and this is where we will go again, on the very rare McDonald's visits.

Food and service good as you would expect, the crèche or soft play thing.......please have it cleaned!

McDonald's food is almost always great though the service can be inconsistent and the restaurant gets crammed often.

7.20pm, I was standing around the counter in a grey blazer black trousers, whilst the whole McDonald’s team in the front are just laughing and chatting away to one another instead of taking care of active orders. My order came up and went off screen, I can clearly see my order sitting there whilst they are chatting away. I was just seeing how long it would take them… to see the bag just sitting on the side by the drinks. mcdonald’s, you have the date and time stamp, have a look! Sorry to be a Karen, but this is enough to make anyone mad! I was going to ask for new food that was warmer, but I didn’t go that far. Usually the branch is ok, I’m a fan of relaxed employees but it wasn’t busy when I ordered (no orders on screen whilst I waited, but they had no problem taking and finishing new orders quickly) so there’s no excuse for this behaviour.

My local McDonald’s. Always seems busy and unable to cope with customer load. Food cold most of the time and order often incomplete or incorrect. Would definitely not recommend.

Not always staffs fault but far too busy to cope with amount needed not the 1st time something missing from order. Seats should be saved for people with young children instead of teenagers feet up on stools etc...

It's a Macdonalds..it is,what it is...nothing spectacular.. BUT...if only the food actually looked like the pictures do,..now that would be great

Have totally gone off McDonald's

Food was cold even the chips don't know how as was being served fresh? Maybe the chip hold wasn't hot enough? Ordered a quater pounder with cheese had special requests of extra sauce,pickles and to remove ONE slice of cheese and got it with no cheese, stone cold and the sauce only way I can describe as they put the sauce gun on and didn't press there was nothing. So exchanged it to recieve a slightly better one ... even the table next to us called the floor person over to change their whole order as was stone cold.

Food was cold, also didn't taste very nice. I'm a big mc Donald's fan but not in this place.

There was No Milkshakes available for whatever reason, 🍔 burger was cold, coz it sat on the side too long waiting to be bagged up , chips were only warm, as much as I Love McDonald's- today's visit was a disappointment as the place was packed especially for a lunchtime but customers were walking out without their food as the wait was too long I waited approx 20mins to collect, I understand its a busy lunchtime but surely more staff should be employed for busy periods

It's chaos here!!! Ordered on the app but then took 20mins once I got there for the food to be ready. I know we had a big order but it wasn't very organised so once the food was ready we saw it sit on the side whilst the drinks were being done so it was just getting cold. A few items were missed too but they were very accommodating and gave us what we were missing no questions asked and straight away so we were grateful for that. It's such a busy store I feel they need to have a bit more organisation to get the orders out quicker.

Ground Floor MacDonald's is one of the BEST IN EUROPE I have visited MacDonald's in TWENTY THREE countries in Europe, Three in Africa and Nine in the West Indies.

The kitchen is way too small for the customers, orders were over twenty deep for at least an hour. 20-30 minutes to receive food, cold when it arrived. Far too hectic to complain

Was ok. But very noise. Due to school kids playing up. There band in Southend after 5pm. And have security guard on the door. To stop kids comeing in and anoying others

It's a McDonald's nothing amazing about it. It's open 24/7 but at night it's only drive through. The line can get big and start to go down the road but it does go down quickly. The food is just like any other McDonald's, nothing special.

We went to the McDonald’s on the middle floor near sweetest treasure and a woman told my brother to stop banging on the table but my brother has something wrong with him if you have kids I wouldn’t recommend here

It was extremely busy and the staff weren't making attempts to combat how busy it was. Also they got my order completely wrong and it wasn't even sealed properly.

McDonald's price ate becoming each day more expensive ,should have a balance more quality in this case....Trash food

Slow, miserable and over crowded

It is what you expect. A bit small so not a huge amount of seating and sometimes a bit of a wait it scramble to get a table. A few items unavailable on the menu day we visited, and staff were slow wiping down tables so I had to do my own. Also, noone around seating area when needed so I had to go up to counter to get sweetener for my coffee, (so running the point of app based table service!)

Have ordered 2 ice-creams waited approx 20 min, my question when will I get my order was ignored , finally gave up and left without being served.

Food was great and the location was clean, but unfortunately there were no ice creams, milkshakes or any other cold drink available

Need more staff, waited long to be served
