This is a really lovely find in Newmarket . It’s a lovely spacious space and the food is excellent. Highly recommend! The lunch was fab !

Lovely vintage tea shop. Had a breakfast of outstanding quality and cooked to perfection. The homemade sausage rolls looked so good I took 2 away and can say they were the best sausage rolls I ever had. I have sampled many a cake and looking forward to sampling many more. Always a great variety.

Lovely teashop with great food and super friendly staff. The shop is quite quirky with unique decor and crockery. Lots of options on the menu and so many yummy teas to try (other drinks are available).

Around the corner from Clocktower everything was fresh & enjoyed by the three of us especially the vintage pot of tea topped up with hot water .In fact the service was impeccable Ideal for get togethers.

Booked a table for 3 adults and two children for afternoon tea, for my mums birthday and it was amazing. The whole experience was fantastic. The service was second to none. Ness went above and beyond to help us in every way possible. She made my granddaughters feel so special even bringing their juice out in teapots so they had the same as us. The food was just superb and great value. Everything was freshly cooked and was so delicious. I would definitely recommend Nancy's for breakfast afternoon tea or even a party as they have a large function room upstairs. Well done to Simon and his awesome team. We can't thank you enough. 👏👏👌👌

The best place to eat in Newmarket. Lunch with friends, you must try the macaroni cheese it's delicious. Lovely atmosphere.

Lovely place for lunch. Good friendly service. My daughter and I ordered sandwiches and drinks which we enjoyed. Very relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely go back here when I am next in Newmarket. Plenty of choice on the menu.

Excellent as usual. Fabulous home made savory and sweet treats. Unusually quiet Sunday lunchtime. Fabulous ploughmans, quiche and salads followed by wonderful cakes all accompanied by perfectly made loose leaf premium tea.

Visited en route to Norfolk with my friend for her birthday. I pre-ordered Nancy's Breakfast Tier which was served on an afternoon tea stand and was absolutely delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly, the range of teas was impressive (I highly recommend the Nut-tea). We loved the cosy, welcoming feel and the quirky decor. We purchased some loose leaf tea, cakes and sausage rolls to take away and these were also delicious. We visited on a Saturday at 10am and from our window seat we had a fabulous view of the racehorses heading across to train. All round a lovely start to our weekend away. Thank you.

Had the afternoon tea with my Son’s girlfriend. We both have dietary restrictions but the selections were amazing and I can highly recommend the gluten free scones as they were the best l have ever tasted!

Visited Nancy’s for Mother’s Day afternoon tea. Unlimited tea, prosseco and splendid food! Staff very attentive and friendly. Accommodating for our baby we had with us. Lovely vintage and homely decoration, warm and snuggly, perfect atmosphere. Will be returning when back in Newmarket💐🌸🤍

A really lovely place I had the full English breakfast with a pot of tea, all very well cooked and real leaf tea, needing a tea strainer, the ladies in there were lovely and I felt like I was back home being served breakfast by my mum, who has been dead a long time, the atmosphere, the lovely china and cutlery, and the decor, I found very relaxing, but not old fashioned in anyway, just made me feel very comfortable and welcome. Lovely food and pot of tea, very highly recommended, and not pretentious like some other parts of Newmarket

What a fantastic Christmas Cake! Moist rich fruit filling, bursting with flavour. Thank you Simon and Diane I only came in for one of the delicious bacon sandwiches, spotted the cakes thought it would save me a job! This was our very first visit to Nancy's and it was simply lovely :) Kim and I had pre booked afternoon tea and from the moment we were greeted to the time we left the staff were fantastic and the food was amazing :) It was made even more special that the supervisor was of Greek decent (as I am) and she was just so happy and loving for us and Nancy's... Me and my partner had lovely afternoon tea at Nancys tea shop. Fantastic service, the 2 lady’s couldn’t do enough for us. The best afternoon tea experience we have had in a long time.

I've heard so many great things about Nancy's Tea Room that a group of us decided to have an afternoon tea and catch up. I expected the shop to be quaint and old fashioned, however, you have to do this well or it just appears dated and dirty, which Nancy's Tea Room does. Although we didn't complain on the day, (and maybe we should have) the food was below par. The sandwiches were basic and the chicken one had a funny taste. The scones were very nice, however, the cakes were nothing special and the cream on top of one tasted like soap. While the shop doesn't close until 4pm the staff started packing the shop up for close at 3.15 and we felt as though we had to leave. Customer service could certainly be inproved.

Our first visit to the tea room. Nice atmosphere, welcoming and relaxed. The staff were friendly and efficient. It was great to have real loose leaf tea. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were presented well - plenty to eat and tasty. If you can't manage it all, they provide take-away boxes - we didn't need one! We will definitely be back again soon!

Booked this venue for a special friends birthday. We were a party of 7 for afternoon tea. We was greeted on arrival and shown to a table. A few seconds later we was asked to move as we had not ordered Prosecco. I asked if we could have Prosecco which they then brought the glasses for along side the bottle of Prosecco and a card machine and asked who was paying . Once all the party was present the afternoon tea was served 4 finger sandwiches , 2 scones and some cake on the top . All of which was very nice I have to say. We asked if we could have the tea topped up and was advised this was an extra charge!! We all was chatting when cake boxes were put on the table for the remaining items. We then felt like we was being dismissed . I appreciate they were busy , but please remember the customers are paying your wages at the end of the day and politeness costs nothing.

Went to Nancy's Teashop for a late lunch on Saturday. As we didn't book in advance, the manageress kindly fitted us in, as long as they could have the table back within an hour, which was ample of time for a quick lunch. Waiting staff was very friendly and took our order pretty quickly. We ordered Egg Benedict with Smoked Salmon and a Jacket Potato with Prawns. We also added a side salad, which they kindly accommodated (i.e. it's not on their menu). Food and coffee were great, especially the jacket potato, it was absolutely fantastic!! Highly recommend Nancy's Teashop!! I'm sure we will be back again, but will make sure we make a booking in advance to avoid any disappointment.

Sorry but all the praise of Nancy's tea rooms.. I was looking forward to visiting. A cake stand was presented with three.. finger sandwiches, more setting for a child( not a choice was given. Or checks for allergies 😉)on the bottom plate smaller plate had four bite size assorted cakes, top plate two scones cream and strawberry jam (again no question as if I wanted to choose another flavour)pot of tea was ok. But for £13.50 I thought more thought would have gone into, service presentation and quality. IM VERY DISAPPOINTED ANY EVERYONE WILL HEAR ABOUT IT. A WOULD ASK FOR A REFUND IF I COULD....

Really fresh bread , bacon and eggs well cooked and presented . Excellent service comfortable quintessential tea shop surroundings. Friendly helpful staff quick reliable service. We once a month have a regular takeaway breakfast sandwich, the quality is always exceptional, the service is always quick and friendly. I wouldn't go anywhere else. What's more the coffee is also great and they always have oatmilk.

I visited with my mother today and we had a really lovely experience. There were us oldies, middle aged people, teens and mothers with very small children and the atmosphere was so welcoming and comfortable. We enjoyed a leisurely, unhurried classic afternoon tea with delicious sandwiches, scones, cakes and never ending tea! Both the chef and waitress (I believe the owners?) were really friendly and solicitous - nothing was too much trouble. We also noticed that, in these difficult times, every table, chair and floor area was fastidiously cleaned as people left. Thank you for making our first ‘post covid’ trip a real pleasure. I'd promised my mum afternoon tea post-lockdown and had a delighful 'classic afternoon tea'. My mum require gluten free foods and the Teashop brought over the most stunning afternoon tea- 4 different types of cakes, 4 different types of sandwiches and 2 types of scones. We were amazed that they could make all of this gluten free! The tea selection itself is incredible, so much that we purchased a bag of the Nut-tea to enjoy at home. Lovely service, attentive and welcoming staff. Have visited before and will visit again- worth popping in to by loose tea also!

Hubby and I are just back from having an amazing afternoon tea here and were absolutley overwhelmed by everything about it. My daughter had bought me a Groupon voucher for afternoon tea here and because of lockdown this wasn't usable. As it expired at the end of June and by then they were doing takeaways - which happened to coincide with my birthday on the 26th June , she was able to bring it here and , at that time we were able to eat it , on seperate tables , in our thankfully long, garden.It was delicious and we were very pleased with both quality and quantity.However, I was anxious to experience the Tea Shop itself and so hubby and I visited today. Once again the quality of both food and drink were outstanding and the friendliness and attention of the staff as well as the beautiful shop itself made it well worth our journey from Cambridge - and the almost 5 month wait ! In fact the fruit tea I choose was so good I had to buy some to bring home too !

Always love going to Nancy's and always try to take friends that are visiting there for afternoon tea. They also have a great lunch with a nice selection of soups and sandwiches.

Was happy to sit outside on the pavement with our dog. Told twice by staff they would come and take our order. Young lady came after a while to serve us. We ordered 2 cream teas, the strong tea came quickly but after 50 minutes, we couldn't wait any longer and left. We waited as they were busy and only 2 serving. Was asked to pay for the cream tea that we didn't have, I declined. Disappointing.

We held my daughters baby shower here and it was fabulous. The staff were attentive but left you to enjoy the party, the afternoon tea we had was filling and everything was very tasty! I would not hesitate to book again. Loved it!

What a find! Long self catering weekend in Newmarket, hearty breakfast needed and this friendly local tea shop doesn’t disappoint. All social distancing and sanitising rules are catered for yet didn’t spoil the experience. Fabulous choices of teas and a mouth watering breakfast menu.The highlight of my whole weekend though was their breakfast crumpet stack. Crumpets, bacon, sausage, tomato, egg and cheese; totally delicious.I highly recommend a visit

We popped in for a mid morning visit. The bacon and sausage sandwiches were very enjoyable and made with high quality bread. Unfortunately the cakes looked so good we felt compelled to try them. The millionaires shortbread was delicious and I took half home as it was a very generous size. The date slice was also very good although slightly on the sweet side. Another big positive was the decaf coffee and they had oat milk. Will definitely visit again next time I'm in Newmarket. We had 2 sandwiches, 2 cakes and 4 drinks for £25 which was good value for the quality and service.

Nancy’s under the ownership of Simon is open on reduced hours, in these unusual times for takeaways only to give us all a takeaway treat to enjoy at home that we can’t have out at the moment. Having ordered in advance today I collected Afternoon Tea for two. Four generously filled sandwiches each, two delicious scones with jam and cream and four lovely sweet delights, together with a hot drink was a real treat we enjoyed at home. As an independent business he is working to supply us with treats we all deserve at the moment and he also has other cakes and sausage rolls to buy. This was amazing and well worth the five stars. So if you feel like a treat support this business and collect a takeaway.

We had been here before just for coffee and cake but decided to come back to try their afternoon teas. We opted for coffee and in addition had sandwiches cake and scones with clotted cream and jam. We called here last July for a cuppa, and frankly the staff was quite uninterested in our custom, and we felt £11.50 for a pot of tea for two and one pastry was extortionate. I don’t think the owners could have been there that day as our experience does not tally with others.

I was drawn to Nancy’s tea shop by its name - which is also my daughter’s. Such a charming place: lots of cheerful bunting, and mismatched crockery. I had a decent bowl of soup with a really good cheese scone. My greed ensured I also sampled the cake - a decent wedge of chocolate orange sponge. I then felt terrible when a small boy arrived with his mother on the way home from school and asked for chocolate cake, only to realise I was half way through the last slice... My only very slight complain was the the airy room was slightly too chilly even for this menopausal woman. I was glad of my cardigan. The staff were lovely: very polite and helpful without treating us to their life story. Thank you!

Was in Newmarket with my partner overnight for a job interview and saw this tea shop opposite out hotel the night we arrived.

Walked in on a Saturday 30 mins before closing with my mum ( visiting Newmarket for few days ) we were greeted with such a warm welcome , everyone so friendly, ambience perfect lots of lovely tea choices and the scones were warm and fresh. We loved the heart shaped containers for the cream and jam and we give a box to take away a scone each too. Highly recommend ! Exactly what we wanted ticked all our boxes

Had afternoon tea here as a birthday treat. Great selection of teas, and offered refills several times. Little sandwiches, cakes and warm scones with jam and cream all delicious. The shop is a real throw back to how afternoon tea would have been done. We ordered the classic afternoon tea which included a pot of tea (loads of choices to suit everyone’s tastes) or coffee or a soft drink. Then we got four mini sandwiches, two still warm scones with clotted cream and jam and four cakes.

A group of business women decided to be frivolous and have a social afternoon tea - it was great! Half of us had savoury and half of us had classic - there were vegan and gluten free options too. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff helpful, the teapots were topped up, the food beautifully presented - and we got boxes to take home the food we couldn't eat! Definitely going back

Just had a fabulous afternoon cream tea at Nancy’s. I’ve heard so many great things about this place and I’m definitely not disappointed. I had the savoury cream tea, the bread for the sandwiches were soft n fluffy with generous tasty fillings, the cheese scone has a crisp fragrant cheese top, warm and light. The sausage roll n caramelised tart is to die for (i had to buy some to bring home). I also love the interesting n large selection of teas too. Everything was beautifully presented and service was attentive and prompt. Love the whole experience!

Stopped off for morning tea, coffee and cake before a Circular cycle around Newmarket. This place was so good and staff so friendly we decided to go back for lunch. China cups make tea taste so much better.

Visited this cute tearoom for breakfast. Excellent menu, food cooked to order. Generous portions and reasonably priced. Tea in China pot with cups , saucers and tea strainers. Beautiful presentation and well worth a visit.

Wow !! I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the unique tearoom - decorated with elegance and everything you would expect from a top tearoom. My mother and I were greeted with the nicest lady - who had a wonderful smile, making you feel instantly welcome. The quiche was delicious and the scones were delicate & moorish - so pleased I had two. This is definitely a place to visit & I will definitely be returning to try some more cake & the variety of teas on offer !!! Superb 10/10

I booked Nancy's for a hen do in May 2019 - Afternoon tea for 27 people! - We had use of the room upstairs which I was allowed to decortae - I had a list of allergies and food preferences which they dealt with brilliantly - The staff were lovely, attentive and we all had a lovely time - thoroughly recommend
