Me gustaría volver pronto!

This has to be the most family friendly resturant on vicky park.Went there at 3pm for a late lunch and had the place all to myself and the snotlings. We sat in the rear of the resturant with canopy off so were able to enjoy an enclosed area where they could toddle about with toys supplied by our charming Irish waiter, Anthony, who made our stay truly effortless and enjoyable which was a rare joy.

Really lovely food, full of flavour and just the right amount of spice. However service was a little frustrating, with wrong dishes left with us and taking twenty minutes for drinks. Food was great though, so would still go back.

Went to Namo with some friends, we were all keen to try this local restaurant. After ordering, it took something like 45-50 minutes for our food to arrive. Starters and mains were served together, which is definitely not ideal. The food was nice but I was put off by the fact I had to juggle between starters and main to avoid the food getting cold. When we were done with our mains, we asked for the dessert list. We've been told the kitchen was already closed, so the only available dessert would have been ice cream. I couldn't believe they didn't even warn us the kitchen was going to close! Things like these are hugely unprofessional. I expect much more from a restaurant.

We have been here twice, once for a celebration meal with our daughter and several friends and once as a couple. We were greeted so warmly on the second occasion that I was trying to place where I knew this long-lost friend from for some time! The food was excellent, the service attentive, a very good evening on both occasions.

Been looking forward to going and didn't disappoint. Very good for vegetarians/vegans as there is lots of interesting tofu/vegetable choices. We both had different vegetarian starters and mains which was a nice change from most limited menus. Food was tasty and interesting. Staff seemed a little bit hapless, thinking that they were busy when the restaurant was only half full, but this was more amusing than annoying. Finished with mango springrolls with butterscotch sauce and coconut ice cream - delicious!

We ate in Namo years ago and remembered enjoying the experience. Ate there tonight as my daughter lives close by. Absolutely terrible food served by slow and gormless waiters. My hot and sour soup stock tasted like dishwater, the crispy duck was like a supermarket packet meal. The coconut chicken curry was quite good but £6.50 for 4/5 leaves of Pak choi was another rip off. I did complain about the soup which I didn't eat but the waiter just sort of shrugged. Looking at the bill I noticed we had been charged 50p for extra sauce for the duck ( 1/2 duck came with about a tiny cup of hoi sin sauce). If I hadn't been with my daughter and her friend I would have said a lot more about the terrible meal. Avoid

This is local place for me and I have always loved it. However, it was interesting to visit it again after a trip to Vietnam. To be fair, one holiday in a destination does not make you an expert in a cuisine. However, all those great flavours have been ringing in my tastebuds since October - and I have to say, it was the trip to Namo that sent me wafting back to the streets of Hanoi, Hue and Saigon. We had succulent, light fresh pancake rolls, followed by monkfish and mackerel dishes. Both were lovely, with beautifully balanced flavours. And the portions were generous too. The vodka/ lychee, and whisky/mango cocktails are fresh and zingy, with a good kick. Combine this with welcoming service, chilled surrounding and a very good price and Namo is a sure winner. So well done to the Namo team - I'll be back here more often for my rather nostalgic fix of Vietnamese food.!

I used to live just round the corner from this restaurant and miss it so much! My fiancé would go at least once a week mainly to eat their spare ribs which are out of this world, so tender and delicious! I have never eaten a bad meal here, everything is so fresh, tasty and authentic. I have spent many evenings here with family and friends soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying great food in this cozy restaurant. It is especially great in the summer when the back section opens up into a courtyard so you can sit under the stars enjoying your meal. One of my favourite restaurants ever, just go, you will not be disappointed!

I recently went here for dinner with a friend and really enjoyed the meal. We popped in at about 8pm on a Sunday evening and there were lots of people happily enjoying their meals - a good sign! We had to wait a while for a table which we found a little strange as there were empty tables dotted about the place though it's possible they were reserved. We sat in a little nook around the corner and noticed the layout lends itself well for catch ups in small groups - 4 to 8 ppl. We dined on sea bass, duck with cinammon (yum!), pak choi and some rice washed down with fresh mint tea. Our bill came to around £38 for two people. I'd say wine or beer would catapult the bill into the pricey bracket but if you fancy a cheaper drink after your meal, The Lauriston bar is just a short stroll away in the heart of Victoria Park Village. We will definitely be back. Food was delicious and presented well and when we eventually were seated service was quick and friendly. I think they also do take aways - a really great alternative to some of the other local takeaway places. Enjoy!

Just came back from a lovely meal last night at Namo. We arrived quite late but the young waitress was very accommodating and we managed to get a table. Food came up quickly and was lovely, especially the chilli squid. Having cycled through this area for years my wife and I decided to venture here for a meal. The restaurant itself looks nice and cosy and the menu looked great. That was about as good as it got. Being the only table upon arrival what possibly could have gone wrong. Having a waitress who had limited English andno menu knowledge didn't help. One hour later our starters hadn't arrived yet three tables received food even though they arrived 30 minutes after we ordered. An apology would have been nice but alas wasn't fourth coming. Our order hadn't been put through so another 20 minutes to wait. When our starters finally arrived my worry about food safety practices here finally started. The spring rolls looked amazing but one was cold and one was hot. Again no empathy from the staff who clearly didn't see this as a problem. My concern is the storage and preperation of food and what controls they do and don't have in this site. Having lost confidence in the whole lack of customer service here we decided to just leave.A little advice to the owners. Hire people who can communicate and invest a little time in menu knowledge and customer service. Oh, and your kitchen practices too.Went to The Empress around the corner instead. Great buzz, food and service but besy of all the waitress apologised for our experince in Namo. It's a shame they didn't

My partner and I visited for an early dinner around 5pm after seeing what was around Victoria park. We love Vietnamese food so we thought we'd give it a try. For drinks, he got a rather expensive pint of asahi and I got a Vietnamese iced coffee, which was much weaker than what they serve in Vietnam. When we recieved our overpriced food, (we had fresh wok noodles with chicken as well as the special of duck in a coconut curry sauce) there was no hint of Vietnamese flavor in it. We agreed that the food itself was fine, tho the curry was nearly too sweet to eat, but definitely did not taste Vietnamese. The service was slowwww. Even though the restaurant wasn't busy when we sat down, it took over 15 minutes for anyone to come to the table, and another 15 mins to get our drinks. We won't be going there again. While the food was okay, the service was abismal, and the prices were too high for what it is - food that tasted more Japanese if anything than Vietnamese. If you want REAL Vietnamese food, we'd recommend going over to pho mile in shoreditch. Mien Tay in particular serves food that took us right back to Vietnam.

A really pretty and relaxed restaurant with good food. However, the surly attitude of both the waiter and waitress could be improved. Although we had been served drinks and weren't in any particular hurry, it took a good 40 minutes before our order was taken and the restaurant wasn't busy. However, the food came quickly and was very tasty. All in all a good experience and I would return.

This place is a little hidden of the roundabout at Victoria park, worth a visit, food depends on the chef as I have had excellent and average, I would recommend the whole seabass with ginger and spring onion my particular favourite. The restaurant serves some lovely spicy dishes and you will need them if it's cold as they need to switch the heating up if it's cold outside. Overall it's a safe bet if you choose wisely from the menu.

A restaurant in the village-feel area near Victoria park should ooze friendly homely charm yet we were met with a lack of coordination and poorly prepared and presented food.It wasn't a particularly busy evening, but getting the attention of staff proved challenging. They busied themselves between stations moving, clearing, talking to each other, but hardly ever scanning the room to see of guests needed anything. The food was pretty average but the portions were small and lacked the authentic ingredients, opting for cheaper ingredients that are probably easier to source. Our crispy duck had very little spring onion or cucumber and we had to ask twice for more which arrived too late. One dish was presented in an elevated plate making it a little more challenging to eat.If the service improved I would probably return. Make the portions just a little larger and I'd leave feeling fed and satisfied. Reproduce authentic food and I'd be a regular customer!

The restaurant is a beautiful place, which made you eager for the food. However, their Pho is terrible. It is nowhere near the true Pho which can still be found in some other restaurans in London. It turns out their chefs are not Vietnamese. This fact is a shame. I don't know why they could not invest in a good Vietnamese chef while spending a huge amount of money for decoration. This kind of investment is absurd.

I had my birthday party at Namo this week. We had a table of ten along the red wall seating area, which I had reserved with a small deposit the weekend previously. Testament to a great restaurant, there were plenty of other diners, even on a Monday night. My friends all loved the food, which was beautifully presented and went down deliciously with a couple of bottles of the Sauvignon Blanc. I recommend the Ga hap la chanh (steam chicken with lime leaves and ginger lemon), although the pork belly special which my boyfriend and myself tried a few weeks previously was equally excellent (he won't shut up about it still!). The service is also very good; the staff were all friendly and attentative without being intrusive throughout our meal (as we know, there is often a fine line). I liked Namo. It serves Vietnamese food that is described as "with a modern twist" which I think means with a Europeanised middle-class twist. & it is none the worse for that. !
