I had a wonderful experience at Namaste Cambridge, a Hyderabadi Indian restaurant! Even though it operates on a takeaway-only basis, the staff were incredibly accommodating and provided us with seating so we could enjoy our meal on the spot. As an added delight, they served us complimentary chai, which was absolutely delicious. The food was flavorful and authentic, and to top it off, very affordable. The highlight of our visit was the staff's friendliness and kindness. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. Disappointing Experience at Namaste Village Cambridge: Overpriced and Poor Quality My wife and I recently dined at Namaste Village Cambridge and left thoroughly disappointed. We began with the "Love to Share Platter," which included onion bhaji and fried beetroot starter, both of which were nice. However, we opted to take the main courses, Veggie Korma and Chicken Butter Masala, as takeaway. Upon arriving home, we found two grey hairs in our food, which was incredibly off-putting and unacceptable. We decided not to eat the main courses at all. The Veggie Korma and Chicken Butter Masala were bland and tasteless, comparable to supermarket food. Given that we spent GBP 64.46 on the meal, we couldn’t help but feel that the price didn’t match the poor quality. Additionally, there was a mandatory tip, which added to our disappointment. The toilets were also undesirable, adding to the negative experience. Despite the friendly waiting staff and the enjoyable elements of the "Love to Share Platter," the overall experience was disappointing. If you're considering Namaste Village Cambridge for its vegetarian offerings, be aware of these serious issues. We strongly advise looking elsewhere for a better dining experience.

Its collection so you cant eat there. But honestly the food was very nice. I really liked the mandi biriyani and mango lessi. Their service is also good even offered some lamb gravy for us. Food all in all i really loved it

I ordered chicken biryani, I recently got to know about namaste Cambridge And indeed, they serve original Hyderabadi biryani. The experience is no less than that of Hyderabad biryani. In addition, I often place orders, I like both veg and non-veg curries. Please maintain the same quality so that I can rely when I don’t feel like cooking at home, haha (lol)

Fantastic food, we searched for the indian food near to the cambridge station and found this gem...but we missed one part that it is take away only...we reached there today with family....after reaching there found that it is a cloud kitchen and delivery only...we took biriyani and chicken 65 for there along with mango lassi and laddus. The food is tasty, and the portion is quite big. If you are looking for a pocket friendly good food joint, please try this one.

[19 May 2024] dum biryani NC special - 7.5/10. alright, ginger and clove forward flavour profile Malabar biryani - 8.5/10, really nice. more salty and cardamom forward. get this next time. [5 Nov 2023] Kadai Chicken - 9.5/10, damn good Mutton curry - 6.5/10, not sure what went wrong. just kind of bland. only thing I got was cinnamon. Veg Manchurian - 7.5/10, would have been a 10/10 if crispier. No naan listed on deliveroo! sad. I have been in ordering food from them for quite a few years, this is one of the place I order food more frequently. The taste is amazing and best suits if someone looking for proper Indian (mostly Hyderabad style but not limited to, they try all Indian and Arabian style dishes all the time). My go to for authentic Biryani and Currys. Consistent flavours and service. Would highly recommend. The flavours and spice level is on the higher side but delicious. Exactly how it should be. Highly recommend the Dum Lamb Biryani and Butter Chicken. Portions are huge, can be shared between 2 comfortably.

Authentic Indian biryani, loved the quantity,good staff

The food was fantastic, bursting with flavors and colors. I loved the Navratram curry; it was incredibly delicious. Don't miss the beetroot kebab, it's the best starter! The Holi-Tini cocktail was good, though a bit sweet. The staff was really nice and attentive, even though we didn't have a reservation and the restaurant was full. Can't wait to come back!

Service was 4 because most of the food was cold - they assumed we'd heat it up at home. How ever, we're visiting Cambridge so staying in a hotel - we didn't mention that either. Good to know they cook food every day, rather than hearing up the frozen stuff. It's a take.away so no eating given for the atmosphere

I have been a fan of Namaste Cambridge for a year. Whenever I have gatherings with friends we always order from here. But! Recently our order which includes Sambar, vegetable Manchuria, and egg curry are very disappointing. The Sambar is missing lentils, too watery; the egg curry is lacking flavour, and the vegetable Manchuria tastes like it just added some sauce to defrosted supermarket veggie balls. I’m really hoping that this is just a one off.

There is no value for money.. They give very small quantity for the amount they charge, despite them being a takeaway service.. A paneer dish that costs 7.5pounds had barely 10 pieces.. Rest of the curries are all lacking in quantity despite a large order.... Dissappointed with their service.

I’ve used their takeaway service few times now and am disappointed with their customer handling and the unnecessary issues during food collection. I always contact them before ordering, requesting my food to be ready before 6:00 P.M. But when I arrive, my order isn’t ready and I’m made to wait outside, one occasion for nearly half an hour, while other delivery services like Just Eat are constantly collecting their orders even before 6:00 P.M. There have been times when an item was missing, or the ordered item was sold out and I was forced to accept a substitute. One of my orders, two of the same item were missing and I had to go back to collect them. During my latest order, I noticed the same mistake while packing, he packed only one item and I had to remind him that he hasn’t packed all the items ordered. The latest order, the chicken curry and chicken majestic, was very salty and I didn’t enjoy the food. If someone orders takeaway food for collection, they need to ensure all the items ordered are packed as they are prone to making mistakes.

We have been in England since 1981. As you can imagine we have food from many an “ Indian “ restaurant from all over the country over the years.we would whole heartedly recommend the food from Namaste Cambridge.Authentic taste and flavours,good sized portions,reasonably priced and hygienicly packed. Only slight criticism if I’m honest is it does take long for home delivery to reach places like Peterborough! That being said overall it very positive experience. I hope their standards can be kept up as their business grows.

I used Namaste Cambridge upon recommendation from a friend for a birthday party of 20 people. I was given a generous quantity and the taste of the food was very authentic. Everyone loved it and asked where I got the food. I would surely recommend people to try this place out.

One of the best briyani I ever had in the UK. Their mandi briyani and mirchi ka salan is the best. Best take away.

Ordered chicken biryani and mirchi ka salan a few weeks ago and was very impressed. The biryani was very fragrant and chicken very tender. The food arrived piping hot and at a suitable time. Called yesterday to order and asked for their recommendation on the lamb biryani and Golconda biryani vs the chicken biryani. Was advised the Golconda was their speciality and spicier. This time around we decided to go collect instead of opting for delivery, and that was a mistake. Firstly even though we had ordered online and had a confirmation email, they did not seem to know about the order when we arrived. This was where the first disappointment set in. It turns out all the food is prepackaged in boxes and in the fridge, only to be reheated in microwaves before being sent for delivery or handed to the customer for pick up. Not being a fan of microwaved food we decided to take it back cold and reheat at home. The lamb biryani was highly disappointing with none of the fragrance of the chicken biryani, and while the Golconda chicken biryani was good, it wasn’t spicy at all. Given that they have a menu for the day, I was really hoping for a fresh degh of biryani and not microwaved food. So even though the flavours are good and I might yet order again, just wish I hadn’t opted to pick up and visited the source 😔

Came across this place around 11 pm since all restaurants were closed.. but lucky us I would say.. very settle Malabar I biriyani filled with two drumsticks 🤤 rice and masala on point…chicken 65 was yummm!! Price is reasonable too.. 8.50 biriyani which does have large quantity and taste obviously 😵‍💫 loved it!

I don't understand how this restaurant has so many good reviews. From start to finish my whole experience of this place is bad. 2 x people, On arrival the glass front entrance is absolutely filthy inside and outside, we stood waiting for someone to greet us, we where took to a table the size of a postage stamp and the tables are all very close together, we where left looking at the menu for around 15 minutes before anyone returned, we ordered our food with bottled still water, they brought our starter with 2 glasses of water no bottles so I asked her was it bottled still water she replied yes, I guess she could see the look on my face so she went away then came back and said oh you wanted bottled water so took our glasses away then came back with 2 x very small plastic bottles of water ( the ones you get in B&M 12 for £2, these were nearly £3 each, the mixed starter arrived with a selection of 4 different starters with a very small dipping sauce in the middle, every single starter except the onion bhaji was dry, overcooked and tasteless, out came the 2 main courses 1 x butter vegan chicken and 2 x vegan Mughlai lamb, they both looked like very runny babies diarrhoea, the vegan lamb was rubbery and very salty, the butter chicken was not much better, the rice was way over cooked and obviously a very cheap brand of rice, we had 2 x Gujwari Naan which to be fair were nice and tasty, all the food was brought out quite quickly but no plates to put it on, the waitress said I will get you some plates so we are waiting and waiting trying to catch someones attention so my wife went in search of the waitress for some plates hooray plates 🙌🏽 1 x mixed starter 2 x curries 2 x plain rice 2 x nann bread 2 x very small bottles water £78.00 Yes this is Cambridge but the food was very poor quality, the service was very poor and my wife also said the toilets were filthy. This is an honest review make of it how you please but I will definitely not be returning as there are far superior places to eat for £80 x 2 people

I am a tourist in town from the States and this place caught my eye on google. I am SO glad it did. The details about southern Indian flavors really caught my eye as I love spicy flavorful food. The chai lifted my spirits so much. It simultaneously comforted me like the hot chocolate I would drink as a child and invigorated me with its spice—all while being something quite different as well. The best Indian chai I have had personally. I also loved the veggie biryani. The spice level is great for anyone who enjoys spicy food in my opinion. Sending a huge thank you for the chefs and staff at Namaste for making my evening with the tasty food and chai! I will be recommending this take out spot to all my friends for sure!

Hands down the best and the most authentic take away you will get in Cambridge. Generous portions too. We had the Special Mandi Biryani ( Chicken), Chicken dum Biryani NC special, Dhaba Style Chicken curry - spicy on bone and Tomato dal. Honestly 10/10 for all. Just Yum! This was my first order. Will be ordering again! I believe Andhra Pradesh cuisine.

I recently placed an order for hot samosa for a get together and although I contacted them only a night before, they promptly prepared the order and delivered in the afternoon as per my request. The taste was exceptional and the service team is amazing. Delivered on time plus served with green chillie condiments to go with the samosa. Their food is outstanding in taste and quality. I would say the most authentic Indian takeaway in and around Cambridge which gives you the real home feeling when it comes to curry and rice. I have tasted of their chicken curry from last couple of months and nothing can beat their quality and taste. Would definitely recommend to every new Indian arriving in Cambridge.
