I know it's not regards cheese, but they also do pork pies which are to die for quite frankly, super tasty! by far the best in Cambridge!

We sourced the cheese for our wedding from the Cambridge Cheese Company and were absolutely delighted with it! After we'd got in touch Camilla arranged a cheese tasting for us, and we got to spend an incredibly enjoyable hour in the shop with her trying almost every cheese. She was very knowledgeable and talked us through the different styles, as well as giving practical advice on what would work well given the likely temperatures in mid-August. Once we had chosen our cheeses, she even gave us very generous complimentary samples to take away with us. The cheeses themselves were absolutely delicious and we could not have hoped for better. They were also very good value for the quality - which included a wedding discount, whereas most suppliers charge a wedding premium! A number of our guests commented on how great the cheese at our wedding was - and for that we thank the Cambridge Cheese Company! Tom & Peter

Huge range of cheeses and very reasonable priced

I was introduced to this shop by some friends from the area (and regular customers); what a superb little shop. Dan and Cameron were knowledgeable of the items on offer, a great help and full of welcoming cheer. They have a wide array of cheese, olives preserves and charcuterie to choose from and in a short two day visit I've been there twice and gone through the scotch eggs, a selection of hot sauces and pork pies. Not to mention the cheese and jams I bought as gifts. I recommend the original pork pie, which was hands down of the best I've had. I suggest you pay Dan and Cameron a visit

Excellent service and fabulous cheese. I chose Shropshire blue Lincolnshire poacher Hereford hop Isle of Mull cheddar. They taste great.

Fantastic cheeses, shame they were shut when their hours on the door said that they would be open. Ultimately a shame. Good news though - Gog Magog farm shop was open, as was Culinaris on Mill Road. Different Christmas cheeses this year… Unlikely to go back. (The opening times on the door when we got to the shop did say that they would be open until 5, sadly we didn’t check their opening times online before setting off or indeed anytime during November - lesson learnt, always check the website before leaving home - we certainly weren’t the only people to arrive before 5 to find the shop shut)

I'm something of a cheese amateur myself. And as such, I'd like to say that their curated list of cheese is a wonder. One could say that they definitely have the nose for finding the best cheeses. Besides, their knowledge on the matter is splendid! Last time I went there, I bought a few British cheeses that I wanted to try, and they recommended a substitute for one they didn't have. It was a hard goat cheese, washed in Cider Brandy. They recommended it because they thought it would match my taste, considering all the kinds of cheese I wanted to buy in the first place. Turns out... they hit it right on the nose! This recommended one was the best among them. It has a lot of character, maybe it won't please everyone taste, but it definitely stole my heart. Now I'm 100% into British cheese, it's highly underrated, I think. On a separate note, it's worth mentioning that I found the prices for the cheese a tad high. Don't want to raise a stink, but it had to be mentioned. Does it mean that I paid through the nose to get those cheeses? Not sure, might be just the cost of living crisis.

Maximum cheese. Also a little deli counter and selection of hot sauces amongst other things. When not too busy, they're really helpful and the cheese is top notch.

I had a brilliant experience here yesterday. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and very interested in all the diverse areas I took the conversation! Yes the prices here are a little high but only a fair reflection of what goes into making a high quality cheese. The fact I was able to sample tiny slices before buying was an excellent facility and helped me enormously in making my choices. I am very pleased with the cheeses I bought here and would not hesitate to return or indeed to recommend it to anyone else!

We stumbled across this store. It has a very nice selection of cheese, dried goods, sauces, etc. The service seems to be good as my husband asked a few questions and they were nice and knowledgeable. The only thing that I didn't like was how pungent of a smell there is in the store. I'm sure it's from one of the specialty cheeses I'm just not used to it and hadn't smelt it in any other cheese shops I've been in. But it may just be from something specific they carry. I still recommend this place.

Come here with an open mind, sample some interesting cheese and try something new. Also selling wines, olives, hot sauces and dried goods, it’s a great place to visit on a weekend to enliven your weekday meals ahead. Excited to go back again

We were given a Christmas gift voucher for this shop. The range of produce is extensive. Well worth a visit.

Lovely little shop on a quite street, quite picturesque really, stopped off her with my 2 year old daughter, we wanted something little to eat for a snack and she loves Olives, the staff were really friendly and knowledgeable, the olives were delicious too. You can spend a lot of money here and will get value for your money. would highly recommend this great place.

I love this place! Not only for the cheese, but for all the deli items as well - I could live on their balsamic sundried tomatoes. The staff are super helpful and really know their stuff, it is great to have a chat and hear their suggestions.

It is not cheap, but then again if you want quality cheeses, then they are not going to be cheap. Always an interesting selection, and I was delighted with the two cheeses I purchased.

Love this gorgeous little shop and love the cheese!! Today I visited them for a first time and for sure i’ll be coming back. They have everything you can want and more. The staff are lovely and friendly. Can’t recommend it enough.

I do rather like this shop. Whilst you can buy many of the cheeses sold here for less at waitrose in theory, I find the quality of cheese here to be worth the extra effort going to town worthwhile.

A must-visit for a fromage fanatic! Went into stock up the Christmas cheese board and was so pleased I could taste things, the staff were incredibly helpful; advising with their knowledge of texture and taste and labelling the beautifully wrapped items. We came here to enquire about their "Cheese Cakes" for our winter wedding. The proprietors were very amenable and allowed us to sample the cheeses to help us make our selection. In the end we made our choices and on the night the cake was a great hit. Many thanks to The Cambridge Cheese Company for their advice and guidance. For anyone considering their catering options for a special occasion a cheese cake is a versatile and cost effective option and this company provide a great product and excellent customer service.

Made quick emergency trip to store after being let down by FedEx not delivering cheeses from France for a dinner party that night. Ended up purchasing some interesting cheeses, incl Soumaintrain, Haut Barry and Langres. All were in fine condition, well wrapped and attracted numerous compliments. Young lady who served me was polite and efficient, this store really saved the day.

Good selection of cheese, dried meat, sauces, wines, ciders and jams as well as Turkish delight and biscotti and other sweet treats, great for gifts or home, but it is expensive and there are places in Cambridge that sell so e of the produce at a cheaper rate but good to have nice things all in one place.

Great range of goodies and v friendly owner

Cheese is my vice and this is a very fine den in which to indulge it. They sell Lincolnshire Poacher, proper Tasty Lancashire, and all manner of other delicious rarities, from the very best producers. They also have excellent bread, pasta, olives, cornichons, and much else besides. It is always a pleasure to browse and sometimes you will be lucky and encounter a particularly knowledgeable member of staff who is happy to chat cheese for a bit. It is on the dear side but the difference in quality is palpable. When you feel you deserve a treat or wish to impress your guests, head here.

Amazing produce, great knowledgeable and helpful staff!

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Have attended a few St John's College cheese tastings hosted by them and their produce knowledge and range seems fantastic. They are also one of the companies that uses the Too Good To Go app, which is a fantastic way to reduce unnecessary food waste. Will definitely be returning!

Staff polite, knowledgeable and welcoming. Were aware of the obscure cheese I wanted and despite only stocking it at certain times of year, had such an array available that I only sulked briefly. Could do serious damage to my bank balance if I lived nearer.

Delightful whiff of cheese hits you as soon as you walk through the door. The truffle cheese an absolute favourite and the pork and bramley apple pie the best I have tasted any where ... and I have eaten a lot of pies!!!

Not cheep but always excellent quality products and often hard to find items or things you may not have had before. Highly recommended for a little treat and always go here when visiting my daughter who is a student

Great place, not just for cheese but lot's of charcuterie

They have wonderful cheeses all year round, and whilst they are not cheap, they are not over priced either. In season they also sell the most wonderful Muscat grapes, fresh, which are just incredible. They often had dried Muscat grapes out offseason, although the fresh ones are stunning.

My wife and I have often been told there wasn't a cheese shop in Cambridge and how wrong all these people are. Not only is there a cheese shop in Cambridge but it is a very good one. Nothing pretentious, about this place instead you can sense and tell that it is owned by people who understand and appreciate cheese and all the side trimmings that goes with not only a good cheeseboard but a great one!

If you are olive and cheese lover, this is the place that you shouldn't miss it. Nice decoration and selection of many kinds of cheese.

Artisan shop with a good selection of cheese, oils, juices, dried meats and similar good things.

We wanted to have a picnic in cambridge. I found this shop via an online search and emailed them. They responded quick as a flash and I ordered a fantastic picnic for our family. Gave them a few ideas of the things we like and they stuffed a bag full of delicious treats. Eating lovely cheese, ham, and the tasty hummus under the tree in the backs made for a wonderful memory! thank you!

This shop is a wonderful find. Going in there is a heady mix of sights and smells, dominated by the cheese counter. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable about cheese, and are able to recommend the perfect cheeses for your enjoyment. While we were there we saw two couples going through selection of cheese for their wedding. It doesn't stop at cheese though. You will also find an olive bar in the rear of the shop as well as artisan bread and a bewildering variety of hot sauces thing from the tame to the suicidal. Well worth a visit.

Amazing selection of cheese and other interesting foods

Great selection of cheese and olives and fair prices for the quality. Irritation came from the fact that they informed me they would get in contact when a particular product came back in stock. Weeks passed so I asked again. Indicated again that they would call me. Months passed and I now purchase the product on Amazon for a lot less and obviously get it sooner. *Update: Cambridge Cheese Company called and rectified the issue. Considering their effort to make customers happy, I've updated from 3 to 5 stars.

We have visited this delicatessen shop several times since we are in Cambridge, sometimes we go in for the pasta selection or the really good prosciutto and sometimes for the amazing selection of cheese. The produce never disappoints from cheese, olives and other specialties you won't find in the supermarket and every time we bought something the service was good, one of the ladies is very knowledgeable and can tell you the source of every cheese variety they sell and she was very patient with us trying to figure out which cheese would pair well with the wine we brought from France. Being a specialty shop it's more expensive than one might expect but excellent quality comes with a higher price wherever you are.

Large selection of cheese and other goods. I was a bit intimidated when I went in as it was busy and there was so much cheese. However the friendly staff made me feel welcome and helped me choose a selection of lovely local cheeses as a gift for a friend. I will definitely be back. Thank you.

Well-stocked cornucopia of cheese and accoutrements let down by lack of engagement from the big cheese down to staff; they didn't wanna deal with us small fries.

In terms of produce, I have found this shop a delight to visit and purchase from in the past. It really is an Aladdin's cave fine cheeses as well as their chutneys, pastas and other deli fayre. Service is variable.

I bought some goat's cheese from here I swear it was so good it melted in my mouth. I have since been avoiding this shop until I go back to the gym. I have recently appreciated they do Neal's Yard yogurt.

Hugely expensive but an excellent selection. Also a good selection of hot sauces.

Excellent choice of cheeses from around the world but also lots of continental food. You can even order merguez sausages which get delivered weekly on Wednesdays. The prices for the tinned French food is quite expensive though, especially the cassoulets.

Great supply of cheeses when I wandered by to try various local options. I'd certainly recommend a visit to any tourist looking to broaden their palate with samples of fine English cheese.

Small and intimate and very cheesy...personally I love it and one may buy some very unusual and expensive cheeses.Tucked away in one of my secret places...well worth a visit I went alone as i did not think children would like it......I can't say if i would take them nor teenagers.I considered it for a more refined palate but I love the cheese shop.

Whenever I need special cheese for a special occasion I go to the Cambridge Cheese company. I'm the kind of person who needs a blue, a hard nutty, a stinky, a creamy, a goat's ... you get the picture ... and here I get all that and great service. They have other stuff, like preserves and pastes but I never get beyond the cheese :-)

This shop is a must for all Cambridgeshire foodies. The choice of cheeses available is just wonderful, not to mention the preserves and charcuterie. I feel like Im entering a foodie Aladdin's cave. I usually get carried away and buy lots but the food flavours are just gorgeous and its good to have a treat now and then!
