I've eaten here numerous times as I often stay in the adjoining hotel. Napoleat never disappoints. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the food has always been delicious. I highly recommend it.

I’ve been to Napoleat many times - at one point, I was going every other Thursday! The food is always delicious, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. My go-to dishes are the octopus salad, the Bronte pizza and the baba for dessert, but I’ve probably sampled most of the menu, and every dish has been impeccable. Can’t wait to try their new pistachio tiramisu!

The best pizza we've eaten in Cambridge. We should have discovered this place two years ago. Will be going there regularly now. Thank you everyone there.

Fantastic food in a lovely environment with a great, traditional feel. Our family of 4 (2adults, 2 kids) ate pizza, pasta and wined. The staff were great, very attentive, but not overly eager, perfect!

Tasty food in a nice setting (it doesn't feel like part of a hotel). Portions could have been more generous, one of our group had to order a starter after her main as she was still hungry. Red wine was very warm (it was an unusually warm day but seems like they need somewhere cooler to store it)

Food italian authentic. Best Italian pizza we had in a while. Live music. The restaurant is divided in 2 and we have been seated by the entrance which wasn’t very convenient for the ambience. We will definitely be returning!

Authentic napoletan/Italian cousin in a warm atmosphere. Very good also the characteristic pastries and cakes.

The food was amazing however I was overcharged and when called for a refund I have been asked to give all card details (number, expiry date and cvc) which does not seem secure. Bit disappointed.

The restaurant is inside a hotel and has no natural light. It smelled of sewage. The menu was authentic but the pizzas were soggy and disappointing.

The staff have become familiar friendly faces and the food, as always, is good!

When catching up with family in Cambridge we found this lovely Italian restaurant. Lovely fresh homemade pizzas, delicious pasta and great service. Chatty staff answered all my little ones questions and boxed up our pizza they didn’t finish. The pistachio tiramisu was amazing!

While passing through Cambridge we went to this restaurant where we were very satisfied with the quality of the food and their hospitality, pizza with very light and digestible dough, fryer all handmade and of excellent quality

I had a wonderful experience at NapolEAT on Cherry Hinton Road. The pizza was absolutely delicious – you could tell it was made with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. Absolutely lovely food and a very Italian atmosphere, the place was full of Italians, which tells you the food must be good.

Visited beginning of January on a very slow and cold night. The restaurant was quiet but expected for the time of year. Greeted well on arrival and seated. I ordered the carbonara and my daughter the margarita. The pizza was the best crust we have ever had so full marks. Really exceptional crust. The carbonara was very nice too. Restaurant looked very smart and tidy. Menu was classic Italian. We will definately recommend and return when in Cambridge next.

I can only say good things about this place. The pizza was great, people very welcoming and polite and the best of all is their Nutella pizza dessert! We will definitely go back!

Fui con mi compañero como le apetecía un italiano llegó al restaurante y había una gran fiesta ya allí pasándolo bien, el servicio fue rápido y tomó un par de cervezas antes de que nuestro pan de ajo viniera a compartir y qué decepción fue, no muy ajoso y bastante soso para ser justos. Mi compañero tenía un plato de pasta que dijo que era bueno y yo tenía la lasaña que se quemó en las 4 esquinas y muy seco y era muy pobre de hecho, los dos teníamos una ensalada lateral que de nuevo era muy pobre ensalada básica de lechuga y tomate. Mencionamos al servidor sobre la lasaña y dijo que le diría al chef, que había escuchado cosas buenas sobre este lugar de amigos italianos míos, pero para ser honesto, es un lugar al que no volvería.

I recently had the opportunity to enjoy an authentic Neapolitan pizza for lunch. It was a delightful experience, and I am pleased to report that I have finally found a pizzeria in Cambridge that serves truly exceptional pizza.

It is undoubtedly one of the best pizzas in the UK. It genuinely encapsulates the essence and flavors of a traditional Neapolitan pizza, and Vincenzo's unique touch is simply beyond comparison!

Wonderful atmosphere, and the food is authentic as they come, the pizzas are the speciality here and it will be difficult to find a pizza that is half as authentic. Waiting staff are pleasant and attentive, I would recommend people try it at least once as I have been coming here a couple of years now!

Food was sent back as it was completely cold... Lasagne and carbonara size is very small.. tasteless and overpriced.. large beer. £6.90 which is 2/3 pint!!!. Thats £10.25 a pint!!!. Anyway.. food sent back and didn't want it replaced as rest of the meal would be cold.. asked for bill... Shocked to see a service charge added.. oh.. you don't nothing else.not even a small bit of salad garnish.tesco frozen ready meals is bigger and probably better tasting than what was served... we left there and went to the pub next door..

Honest Italian food. Fried calamari and Zizza were nice. The sea food scialatielli with fresh cherry tomato , clams and muscles were incredible. The desserts are made in Napole. The staff is very nice and the whole thing make you feel at home. I would totally recommend for family Sunday lunch or a casual dinner on a weekday.

Nothing to complain about, great food, service and price

I am a professional pizza maker in the catering sector with over 35 years of experience, the pizza is cooked at a temperature of about 400 / 450 degrees Celsius, once out of the oven it maintains a temperature of about 100 / 120 degrees, if the pizza is put in a pizza box after about 20 / 25 minutes it loses at least 50% of its heat, keeping the box closed creates a condensation of steam that makes the ingredients moist and therefore sticky. During the transport with motorcycles with thermal bags of well-known companies that deliver pizzas and other food (not always efficient!) it happens that the cold outside of these periods (October) worsens the quality of the product, so the negative reviews on cold pizza should not be made to those who produce the pizza but to those who transport it. The real Neapolitan pizza should be eaten on the plate at the restaurant, not inside a cardboard pizza box Vincicoppolas Master Pizza Chef

Ouch! We are generally quite happy with the pizzas delivered by Napoleat, but last time we had a not-so-great experience. The pizza was cold, but in particular the mushroom were gelatinous, uncooked mushrooms, not freshly chopped, but it felt they came straight out of a can. The pizzas seemed to have been made in a rush. Not great, sorry.

My wife and I and a good friend had a wonderful meal last night at NapolEat. We were very well looked after by Shahzod and Vittorio. The food was absolutely delicious. Thanks for a great evening! Hope to see you again soon! Mark and Anne

It was a really nice experience to have lunch in this restaurant. Staff were very kind and food was also nice. Napoli pizza with broccoli leaves was very new but fantastic. I'd like to visit again.

I had dinner with my family and I’m not sure where to start. The Napolitan style pizza was ok but not the best I had. The dough was chewy and floppy as a classic Napoli style dough should be but lost its crispiness quite fast. In the end, the base got really soggy from all the grease. I basically forced myself to finish it. We ordered an antipasto board and what arrived looked like they opened a supermarket sliced meat and cheese and put it on the board. I was shocked to be honest as they charge 10 quid for this. My wives mushroom pasta was very mediocre. She had trouble digesting it after. Atmosphere was also not great. Overall, I’m not sure how this place is scored so high. I don’t think we’ll ever go back.

Fantastic food and service. Calamari was beautifully cooked as was the mushroom tagliatelli and Aubergine Parmigiano. A beautiful part of Italy transported to Cambridge! Our waiter, Shahzod, was an absolute delight. Polite and attentive but with little fuss. Would very much recommend. Compliments to the chef and staff!

NapolEat is a non nondescript hole in the wall located within a mediocre hotel. But poke around and find it. The food is worth it. Great Italian food served by a friendly staff. I started with the “Zizza frittata” I highly recommend it. I followed it up with tagliatelle monti, again excellent. I finished with the decadent pistachio terrazzo. I prefer alcohol in mine but I understand not having it. Go to Napokeat. You won’t be disappointed.

Delicious meal for both of us...surprisingly good for 2 picky eaters!

The pasta, tiramisu and coffee are the best around Cambridge. I will definitely visit again. We visited for Sunday lunch, the place was not busy, and there was plenty of parking space available at the back of the hotel and on the street.

Best carbonara outside of Italy

This is my second review for Napoleat. My first one was a solid five stars, and that’s the only reason this one is four. The food is still great, and the service is flawless, but the menu has been simplified compared to the brilliant options they had before. There’s no more pizza Carbonara, the Nutella pizza is no longer a calzone, and there were no bananas this time. On the plus side, the pizza Brontë was absolutely delicious, as were the calamari and pizza Diabolo.

I'm a proponent of Italian food as a half Italian myself. Excellent service and great food! Lovely atmosphere and a relaxed, quiet environment - good to talk to the wonderful woman I'm dating. Super time and I can't recommend it highly enough. Check it out!

Some of the best pizzas I've ever had

Looking for something to eat whilst in the area and this place had a car park around the back and a place to sit in the outside the front of the hotel. Very kind, attentive staff and nice food. Just what we were looking for

Ladies and gentlemen, this place has absolutely mediocre food, and in no way is anywhere close to 4.7 stars! Came here for the first time tonight with my wife on date night. We were excited to try a new spot, as we have been to most other Italian spots in town. We got the gnocci and pappardelle funghi pasta. Both dishes were decent at best - the pappardelle was among the worst I’ve had in Cambridge, and have definitely had better at several local pubs. The restaurant itself also doesn’t have the nicest ambiance, although the service was fine. Beer selection was very limited. No non-alcoholic beer options. Wife got a mocktail and said it tasted like drinking pure fruit juice. Pretty mediocre experience all around. This place definitely has a lot of fake reviews boosting its rating…. diners beware!!!!!

Always a great pleasure to eat at this restaurant. Friendliness, speed of service and maximum quality of the ingredients are the secrets of the restaurant. Furthermore, the dishes are always updated with the typical Neapolitan imagination but always with an excellent result. Perfect atmosphere for any occasion: wedding, lunch, dinner or business appointments.

No way this is 4.8 on Google. Food was average, we had to wait for main for about 30 minutes for the main. Bruschetta was nice, but Prawns were extremely bland. Pasta was average. Perhaps worth checking their pizzas (seen positive reviews mentioning pizza), otherwise not recommending this.

Waited almost 2 hours for crap food. I make better carbonara at home. They said the issue is their pizza oven was broken, but that doesn’t excuse the bad pastas.

Friendly service, lots of Italians which says it all on the quality of the service and food. We only tried the (neapolitan-style, of course) pizza, the toppings and sauces were tasty. Restaurant food looked and smelled great too so we might come back to try that too. Parking might be a challenge at the back but there's on-street parking nearby

Genuine Italian food served by friendly and helpful staff. Everything was delicious and the menu had a good selection of Italian favourites. The pizzas were made in full view and were done properly, just like being in Italy. Top tip.... save room for the desserts. They were so good, especially the limoncello sponge, amazing!! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone, and the fact that many Italians were dining there says it all!

It's a nice, clean facility. We preferred the 4 cheese, honey and walnut pizza. You can try it. It's a different taste.

We stayed in the Sorrento Hotel and ate here 3 nights. The food was excellent and authentic. The service was outstanding and the prices reasonable. Well done Vittorio.

I asked the hotel receptionist at the Graduate for a good recommendation on a Sunday evening, she pointed me in the direction of Napoleat. The weather was pleasant which offered the opportunity to sit outside as well as inside. The host was very kind and prompt in service, without hovering too much. I went for the cured meats, cheese and olives to start. What can I say? It was good and hit the spot. I then opted for the quattro formaggi pizza with honey and walnuts added, by far one of the best pizzas i’ve had in the UK, incredibly good dough and ingredients. 100% recommend this. Ended with Tiramisu and an affogato, mainly because I’m greedy. It was a nice way to end the meal and I left feeling satisfied and very happy with my choice.

Best woodfired pizza in Cambridge. The place has improved a lot in the last few months: very good and authentic Italian menu of pasta and second courses at a reasonable price. The patio area is now much more welcoming compared with the past, as well as the indoor area. Service is friendly and professional. Highly recommended!
