Another fabulous night at NapolEat. The service was great with polite and attentive servers. Watching the pizzas being made in front of your eyes is always a great spectacle and the wood fired oven never disappoints. On other occasions we have tried pasta dishes too. We always leave very happy. I recommend finishing the meal with a limoncello.

The cliché would be hidden gem. No offense, but you go through a hotel lobby which is a bit Fawlty Towers, but I really enjoyed the food. Excellent starters, pasta and a proper Neapolitan pizza oven. Good service too.

We celebrated a friends birthday at Napoleat and they treated us brilliantly. Food is really nice but the best of this restaurant is the service and the treat to the customers. They take care of detail, super on top of customer experience. Well done, we loved it!

I was recommended Napoleat by an Italian colleague who claimed it was the most authentic Italian food they had experienced since being in the UK. It did not meet my expectations. I visited twice last month; first on a date night with my partner where we each had a Gnocchi. I had a seafood gnocchi which was Ok but priced around £18 which I thought to be excessive for what was also a mediocre portion size. My partner had some sort of strong cheese sauce with her gnocchi and that was more pleasant, but similarly scant in portion and pricey. That evening they also almost charged me for an additional beer I never had which I almost didn’t notice! On my second visit I attended with a party of 8 and this time I tried the Pizza, given that the price was more reasonable at around £15 and the portion guaranteed to be adequate. While pleasant and authentic, the pizza still felt a little scant on toppings, but was better than the gnocchi. Generally, the whole party were disappointed as their expectations were not met. Key positives however: While the food seems average, pricey, and stingy, there are many positives. The layout of the restaurant reminds me immensely of my time in sorrento and the hotel I stayed in there and so it does seem incredibly authentic. The restaurant is in the Sorrento Hotel and has an ample car park (which is available for spaces to be hired on my parking space which has come in helpful more than once). However, for me the atmosphere may be 5 stars but it can’t justify the shortcomings elsewhere.

Beautiful food that is obviously prepared on the premises with love; delicous and fresh. Cocktails were swet and vibrant. Went for a date night and we are wanting to come back again soon. Thank you for a lovely evening

Loved the service, cleanliness of the place, the fact it has a car park at the back, away from all the business of Cambridge but at the same time, a stone throw from there... and the pizza.... wow... and the homemade desserts... just outstanding. Took my Spanish family for dinner last night and they want to know when is it we are coming back to eat there!

Very nice place, high quality food and great service. It Is possible to eat very good pizza and pasta. There are wonderful cakes too. Strongly raccomanded for a good family lunch time.

I think they’re known for their pizza, and the did look great. I was there to try their pasta hoping it would be a little gem of a restaurant. I think they were having an off night as nothing went to plan. Service. Had several staff try to manage our service but we felt forgotten and an after thought. As an example it took an hour for our starters to arrive. When we were asked if we wanted desert the waiter walk off to get the menu and promptly forgot us. Food/pasta. Italian food relies on the ingredients being of a good quality as the recipes are generally simple with minimal ingredients. I know it sounds harsh but the tomato based sauce tasted raw and lacked any depth of flavour. Not sure if the quality of the ingredients. Finally, we had a cocktail that was totally rank. I don’t think the person who mixed it had any idea how to put this together. I do think this restaurant has a good future and I hope this was an off night. I’ll be back to try the pizza but not pasta.

The worst pizza in the world. They used a pre-cooked pizza. Waste of money.

Pizza here is quite authentic and traditional. We’d love to try some more food in our next visit.

A bit of Italy in Cambridge. I had the fritto di pesce and it definitely was worth it!

Had the most horrendous pizza from their foodtruck at the Rothesay Tennis Tournament last week may/23. Pre-baked supermarket pizza dough, as thick and rubbery as a flipflop. Truck graphics says "authentic Italian pizza / wood fire oven" (it was a gas oven).

To find pizza of anything close to this quality would require a flight to Italy and even then there's no guarantee. Perfect base and topping cooked beautifully in a proper pizza oven. The service was warm, friendly and efficient. A faultless performance. Unsurprisingly, the place was busy with locals and guests of the hotel, so we felt lucky to secure a table without a reservation. I look forward to dining there again.

Literally the worst pizzas I have ever had. It was at their Newmarket racecourses food truck. No cheese, burnt base, uncooked topping. Awful

As an Italian, I can’t do nothing but recommend this place. Candida served us and she was lovely as much as the whole staff here. Very good pizza, the largest pizza menu I ever seen in Cambridge, and very good quality of toppings. They also serve amazing tiramisu and Amaro del capo, an Italian digestive that I couldn’t find anywhere else.

Hands down the best pizza in Cambridge and seriously some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. We only go delivery pizza and will be going in asap to the actual restaurant!

From the outside you'd walk on by as from the exterior it doesn't look like much, but inside is a friendly restaurant with good Italian food and great service. Had lovely pizzas and finished the meal with a limoncello. We didn't sample starters or desserts as we're short on time. Would definitely go back.

Real Italian food, amazing pizza cooked in the wood oven. Good service and good choice of food. The place is nice and not noisy, I definitely recommend it Parking place on the rear, better to book in advance especially in the weekend.

I was there with my husband and child. We had a wonderful dinner, the service was great, the wine superb, and the dishes fantastic. We also had 2 incredible desserts from the special menu. Definitely repeating soon.

Friendly service, lots of Italians which says it all on the quality of the service and food. We only tried the (neapolitan-style, of course) pizza, the toppings and sauces were tasty, although we found the dough being good but not the best. Restaurant food looked and smelled great too so we might come back to try that too. Parking might be a challenge at the back but there's on-street parking nearby

It gave a really bad experience. I don't recommend it to anyone nor will I come back again. We booked it and the stuff said nothing when we were booking but when we arrived here, they told us they not gonna serve pizza, lasagna, rib-eyes steak, chicken, and something more. So there is not much left. I heard that pizza here is good but others is not so fantastic. Even can I say that the food and everything was disappointed.

I regularly take out pizzas from Napoleat. IMO, this is the best pizza in Cambridge and I've tried pretty much all places; follows the classic Napoli recipes - gooey cheesy centers with a fluffy rim. Relatively quick delivery.

It was my wife birthday and we had a lovely dinner with friends and the food was amazing especially the italian pizza and the place is so nice and the staff is really friendly and lovely especially Luana , Andrea and chef Marco

The best Neapolitan pizza in Cambridge! Going eating at Napoleat is like jumping into my memories, when I was a kid living in Naples... The flavours, the music, the restaurant decorated with tipical paintings: it's just a great jump to my childhood city without leaving Cambridge! Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant in Cherry Hinton. We enjoyed a wonderful meal…from start to finish. Crispy bread to dip in olive oil and a rocket salad for starters. My husband had pizza while I had pasta. We had to pass on dessert (we were so full and even took leftovers with us) but we did enjoy espresso. Everything was delicious and the staff was helpful and friendly. If we were staying longer, we would go back.

Had a lovely dinner for our wedding anniversary. Authentic pizza and delicious dessert - they even spoilt us with a free coffee at the end which was excellent!

I have been there already a couple of times. Staff is very nice and welcoming. The pizza is very good and we also had a couple of mains that were delicious. Quality over quantity. Maybe the desserts are a bit pricey...

Great Neapolitan pizza! I really like pizza and I make it as a hobby and I was really not impressed by all the other pizzas I had in Cambridge, while this is a real one!

The pizza is good and at reasonable prices. Pasta and Secondi not good as pizza and definitely overpriced. The place needs some TLC, especially in the patio area: some of the tables need to be replaced and the area could be much nicer with some little improvement: e.g. nice plants and flowers to separate the dining area from the hotel rooms and the neighbour. Going out for dinner is about food but also about the experience and the environment!

Finally a great Italian restaurant in Cambridge. The food is not just Italian, is top quality Italian! We had a takeaway pizza before but it arrived cold so I wasn't impressed by it, yesterday we actually went to the restaurant, my husband had pizza and I had caponata and risotto alla Pescatora. The pizza is easily the BEST in Cambridge. My caponata was so good and even better was the warm version instead of the cold one, also sometime can be too vinegary, instead this one wasn't at all. The risotto perfectly cooked and nicely presented. All their desserts are homemade. The staff is efficient and friendly. I can't wait to go back for the paccheri all'astice (lobster pasta).

The staff is really welcoming and the pizza is very good!!
