After aaking about dishes as required a less spicy meal we chose the butter chicken masala after being assured it was not spicy . We also orderd aloo gobi. The rice was very nice however the "mild" dish blew our heads off. We asked for it to be toned down but when came back was still too hot. The potato was also hotest i have had. If you enjoy a really hot curry then you may enjoy this resteraunt. Personally i will not be returning. We picked out the meat and ate it with rice but mouths still burning. Didnt see point of sending back again as made not much difference.

The previous 1 star review is extremely harsh. You know from the moment you walk in the door that this is not a place for a romantic lunch, or somewhere you'd take someone to impress. It is quite dark inside and the surroundings are not flashy. We had masala dosas, a chicken curry, rice, naan and sag aloo between the three of us. The food was beautifully cooked and cheap. The waiter had smiles galore and was extremely polite. We generally have to travel from Tunbridge Wells to Crawley to find a decent dosa so to have somewhere a little more local is great for us. Very highly recommended.

If you want no frills value for money, this is the place. Small restaurant, table presentaion basic and simple, lone young waiter dressed like it was his night off, t-shirt and casuals. Piercing Indian music, first request lower volume ! Ordered safe simple dishes such as Chicken Tikka Masala and a Lamb Khorma with a Naan. Plenty of fluffy steamed rice Couldnt fault the lamb or chicken, really cooked well, no fat or grissle, very tender. But the sauces were an absolute disaster, the Khorma resembled watery lumpy porridge and the Tikka sauce had seperated, oil and whatever else they use, not in the slightest your creamy sauce you come to expect. Requested a 'creamier' sauce to replace, the same came back. Picked out the meats, sight of sauces were a 'put off'. Thought this place may have been a new or personal style of cooking but nothing on the menu to suggest this, therefore judged on what I know. Place is OK if you want VFM lunchtime snacks but wouldnt advise trying to impress a partner.

The staff here are keen, but seem over stretched even in a moderately busy restaurant. Didn't seem to understand the idea of food allergies which led to a dish being served with something that would have been a problem for one of our party. The food is different. Not your typical Indian fayre. It is quite spicy which is food but it is far too salty. A little more customer focus and this coils be very good.

After couple of friends recommended, ordered Lamb Broyanit and Half tandoori chicken. Tandoori chicken was average with more color powder in it and tastes average. Lamb briyani was so bland, it has more pieces and flavour, no spice or no salt. Difficult to eat. Wasted my Friday evening dinner, and got spoiled the mood.

The food was delicious and hot. I got a free popadom and side dish. (Not sure if the latter was intended or an error but it was very nice!).

Ordered £20 worth of Korma, Tikka Masala, 2 Rice portions and some other bits. Food was beautiful and service was fast and good quality. 9/10

Each time recently the chicken has been tough as boots. I thi k the meat is frozen and microwaved as the centre of the dish has been cold. Next time, if there is, I will go veggie. Friendly staff.
