Worst service I have ever had. Took them 20 mins to take our first order, and the tables around us had the same, they waited for 15 mins to get a drink. We went for the bottomless brunch, it's a rip off. They didn't have the edamame and would not replace it. The brunch is only sushi then and you can only order 1 roll at a time, then they give you a timelimit. This place is not worth it at all. The main floor is nice but they put you on an upper floor that feels like a cheap sushi place.

Visited midweek for lunch and found the place surprisingly empty. Seating was uncomfortable, with chairs that felt flimsy and unsafe. A significant disturbance was the kitchen staff’s loudness, singing, laughing, and music which carried over into the dining area. Food is beautifully presented, but the severely lacking. The corn was off. Sashimi was far from fresh. This establishment feels like a tourist trap, offering subpar experience despite its potential. Didn’t try the cocktails, and based on the overall experience, I’m not inclined to. I cannot recommend this place.

We did take away ( take out for us Canadians) It was fantastic. We had the Waygu tacos, Baja shrimp tacos, The corn wings, Picante Tuna roll, and Nikango Dragon. Lots of Flavour, quick service. Highly recommend.

We had the bottomless brunch and every dish was superb. The Nakanojo Dragons are our favourites but everything was perfect. The Pisco Sours are to die for! The service was excellent, drinks and food flowed for our entire visit. The restaurant is decorated lovely and creates the perfect atmosphere. Thank you for our pre birthday brunch, we will definitely be back again soon 👍🏼

A few minutes walk away from the chaos of Oxford Street this is a great find. The outside and internal design don't do justice to the really delicious food on offer. Mixture of Japanese and South American dishes combined for a really memorable meal. Efficient friendly service and overall good value compared to other Japanese restaurants within Bond St/Mayfair area. Highly recommended.

I was looking for a place like this for a while; perfect Peruvian and Japanese fusion restaurant, food and prices are well balanced. You can have a set of good plates for just 40-50£ pp and the service was excellent. I recommend yellowtail tataki, nikkel chicken kara-age and Nakanojo dragon. I will try to avoid ceviche and futomaki loco. Be careful do not order a lot as it will fill you up quickly. Food is served very quickly. Nice decoration. I will be back for sure!

Amazing food. I love Peruvian Japanese fusion and this was one of the best I've had. Not cheap but good value given it's central London. It was very early evening and they didn't have a lot of service staff on, but they were upfront about that, which I appreciated. The cocktails were also a highlight.

Dined here for a mid-week daytime treat. We had bottomless sushi rolls, with prosecco and cocktails. The food was amazing and the service, excellent!!!

went for the £40 pisco and sushi bottomless meal and it was incredible! the selection was delicious. i would recommend the Nakanojo dragon and the Loco roll. they both come out extremely fresh and flavorful. the staff are super kind, attentive and efficient. André and Malik were super helpful and warm and overall had an amazing experience. if you want good quality sushi, a good atmosphere and delicious drinks, i’d highly recommend! will definitely be coming back

Honestly 3 stars is quite generous… to start we had a reservation at 5:30 and with multiple tables open throughout the restaurant we were told our table wasn’t ready. Our drinks (which were mediocre at best) took 45 mins to get to us, the server acted as if he’d forgotten our order, which wasn’t much better than the alternative? We’d made our way through half the stuff we ordered by the time we had a sip of our drinks. We also had to give the table back at 7 and one of our dishes didn’t even make it to our table. Other than taking the item off our bill and a small apology from our waiter, nothing much was done about the drinks and the incredibly slow service that made it nearly impossible to enjoy the food.. The only saving grace about this place was the quality of the food, which is unfortunate because we didn’t even get to try all the dishes we ordered. The tacos were pretty good, ceviche was delish and sushi was pretty okay. The dinner was also very weirdly paced? Started with the tacos and ended with ceviche? Not sure if I’d go back here. Plenty of places around that are similarly priced, with better service and food.

Visited during my time in London when celebrating my birthday last week, and we were amazed. The atmosphere gave a very intimate feel, and the bottomless sushi options were filled with variations that were to die for, so it was a very good deal. We were served by Andre who gave impeccable service and was very attentive. Definitely recommend visiting if you’re a sushi lover!

Went with 7 work colleagues. Did lots of sharing dishes. Every one was absolutely delicious. Peruvian sushi at its best. Service excellent too. Will be back.

Beautiful place with great atmosphere. The cocktail menu is very creative, the food is of high quality and to top it all of the service is very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Definitely recommend!!

Amazing food and at a great price too. Everything we ordered tasted great and we shared a wide range of different dishes from the tacos to the sushi platers. The cocktails were very good and we were able to order off menu cocktails as well. Would definitely recommend for a lovely lunch.

The owner keeps the money of the service charge, he’s known as an dishonest person. He’s never trained martial arts, he’s as dangerous as a princess. Hopefully one day the law will make justice against you and your Spanish helper ( the manager Ivan Maricon de frutos)

Went here for dinner and we absolutely loved it! Menu is great and the food was delicious. The portions are also super generous. To top it off, we had really friendly and professional service. Would highly recommend!

Food was interesting. I liked the idea of Peruvian and Japanese vibe before I went. The execution was pretty good but I was a little confused whilst eating a taco and sushi. The drinks looked great! The sushi was really world class and if I went again I would probably stick to that. I didn’t LOVE the other bits like the wings and the tacos. The service was really great so thanks. Overall 4 star - I may go back for the sushi if I’m around the area :)

Food was good. Service average, but honestly too slow, barely any customers and took 50mins still no sign of the main platter. while the staff seemed disorganised. Perhaps its xmas-ny season lack of staff. Not sure, paid the bill without the platter part and left for MacDonalds.

Lovely Japanese sushi restaurant or very South American Japanese theme restaurant. Beautiful atmosphere and setting in here. Of all the dishes, tuna tartare was delicious though the fried nachos was a bit hard. The tacos was disappointing, just dry and hard to chew on. The sushi rice was a bit ‘al-Dante’ wasn’t really pleasant to eat them. Had to chew harder for this to enjoy them. I thought the service was good initially though food wasn’t too great. The one that really puts me off was the fact I get charged extra wasabi!!! Never ever have I been to any Japanese restaurant that charge me extra wasabi!!! As the sushi was a lot, my wife and I asked for extra wasabi as we love them for our sushi. No one told us it was extra and it wasn’t even listed on the menu. When I paid the bill, I did ask the waitress nicely about these and hoping it can be excluded from the final bill but the waitress was just giving me an answer that says ‘if you go to a restaurant and order something extra, then you have to pay’. Total speechless despite mentioning this is first time we heard of this and thought unfair as we were not informed there will be such hidden charges. It’s not that I cannot afford for an extra wasabi, just felt I have been mislead on this. In summary, felt the restaurant service needs improving and do hope they have seen other Japanese restaurants on how they operate!

Very nicely appointed, small restaurant serving Peruvian-Japanese (Nikkei) cuisine. The food was excellent and really flavoursome - the sweetcorn ‘ribs’ were an unexpected highlight. The staff were really friendly, happily answering our questions about how some of the dishes were prepared, marinades etc, definitely giving me inspiration to try some things at home. Visited mid-afternoon, so in-between the lunchtime and evening peaks, hence the reason for the lack of people in my photos. I will definitely return when it’s busier, with more atmosphere.

Waited 30 mins to get water and cocktails (not exaggerating). It’s a misery if you sit upstairs because waiters don’t come up as often and if they do they don’t always come to your table. Ceviche (had both sea bass and veg) weren’t that great. Too much lemon. Soft shell crab taco were really good Rest of the food was average / good. We had a cocktail each in addition to the food and spent 140 in total between 2 people Not worth it. Had better for lesser

Good place, reasonable prices and savory small plates to share. We had the kimchi, the tuna tataki, some nigiri and the eggplant. Definitely go for the eggplant. First time here and overall it was a great experience. The regular pisco is also very good. The music was a plus.

Excellent food, traditional favourites done in a modern fusion style with delicious flavours and a number a dishes like soft shell crab tacos we have not seen before. Open all day which worked really well for us. Highly recommended. Angel, Randy & Andrea were very friendly and provided excellent service. Well priced for the high quality of food.

I try my best to avoid giving restaurants scathing reviews, but this one is particularly for Nakanojo's management. They believe they can run a supposed "upscale" place in one of London's fanciest areas while being ridiculously short-staffed and providing an appalling service. It was my husband's birthday, and I had specifically asked for a nice table - well-lit, in the center of the action, in the middle of the restaurant. Their definition of "nice" was to seat us at the very end of the restaurant in a corner hidden behind a fake cherry blossom bush. As a result, it was extremely difficult for us to catch anyone's eye, and we were easily forgotten about. We had to wait for 35 minutes after being seated for anyone to take our drinks order. This only happened after I marched to the front of the restaurant and gave them an earful. Up until that point, nobody had even offered us water. The food took another 40 minutes after the drinks, and nobody checked if we needed anything else. Our plates were never changed, we never received two of the items we had ordered, and adding a service charge to our bill was truly laughable. I told them I wouldn't be paying for it, and thankfully, they removed it. Despite the delayed service, missing meals, and high prices for a terrible experience, we were still expected to vacate our table after two hours. Not a problem - we couldn't wait to leave anyway. I'm glad they took the service charge out because we received zero service. I don't blame the wait staff; they looked overwhelmed and are probably underpaid. However, the restaurant's terrible ownership and management are to blame. Even people who arrived after us or were seated next to us waited for hours just for drinks. I do not recommend this place at all and will not be returning.

We had a great time at Nakanojo! The place is beautiful and the food is absolutely delicious. It’s hard to chose from the menu, everything looks so good, but Andrea and Angel will help you. You can trust their recommandations with no hesitation, and they’re full of attention. We definitely recommand this new restaurant!

Strong, good-value bottomless brunch, with unlimited sushi, pisco sours and sake. The sushi was actually great quality, especially their “house” dragon roll and Verde rolls. Thank you Paul and Randy for the service.

Lovely solo lunch! Quietly cool interior with nods to both Japan and South America, much like the fusion food. Delicious and fresh - highly recommend the Corn Ribs and Chicken Kara-age and the ubiquitous edamame beans which were offered on arrival. Reasonably priced for great quality and the service was warm, prompt, friendly and discreet. Highly recommend Nakanojo and I’m definitely coming back!

Great night. Amazing food. Service was impeccable the waiter was so well informed on all the dishes. Very authentic. Loved the collaboration of Peruvian and Japanese food. The only reservation was they didn't have my booking even though I booked through open table which was embarrassing and the music choice was a bit off. However for a evening with friends with great food definitely will return. Thank you Nankojo

First time here and waiter gave some fantastic recommendations off the menu and wait a delight they were, food was so yummy, service was exceptional and nice atmosphere to finish off a great evening, would highly highly recommend you visit.

Absolutely astounded by the behaviour of this restaurant. We booked it 3 weeks prior to the date to celebrate our anniversary. 4 days before the date, the restaurant keeps on calling us at work, when we finally answer the call, the staff has not shame in telling us that they have now a bigger party and need to cancel our booking to release a table. Utterly shameful! I will never attend an establishment that behaves this way, puts the money they can make above everything else and shows no remorse of doing so. I definitely don’t recommend and I will make sure other people around me know about my experience!

Very happy that I chose this restaurant to celebrate my cousin's engagement. The food was excellent and the staff were very accommodating. Even though it was raining outside the vibe inside made me feel like I could've been in Buenos Aires on a warm day. The cocktails were also interesting and fun with excellent delicious desserts to match. Highly recommend!

Service is excellent but the food isn’t right. Nothing tasted good, either too much acidity or it was missing something. Or both. I’d say it’s a miss…

Overall, a less-than-impressive dining experience. The sushi, decent, had an American-style twist that didn't quite hit the mark, and the ingredients in some rolls seemed mismatched. The cocktails were a disappointment, especially considering their overpriced nature. They kept offering a 10% voucher, but when we finally made a booking and spent £400, they refused to honor it, claiming we had "already started paying the bill." Their offer to use it next time didn't sit well with us, and we won't be returning.

An upbeat fusion restaurant featuring Japanese and Peruvian flavours. The restaurant is more skewed to Japanese dishes with sushi, sashimi and fried chicken dishes with a Peruvian flavours and flare to it. We ordered a number of dishes including tuna and sashimi tataki with the highlight being the spiced aubergine. Highly recommend this. The sea bass Ceviche was a let down with only a few pieces swimming in a rather tart dressing which was also very creamy. The kimchi corn chips were also missing the mark. Although it had similar Korean flavours, the Peruvian flavours were not very strong and the dish overall was dry. Mocktails were delicious and there is also an extensive drinks menu with a fun bar located at the restaurant. Service was friendly and fast. Great option for share plates and restaurant atmosphere is wonderful for a group of friends although, also suitable for families as some also enjoyed an early dinner with young children.

The sushi was way too salty and not tasteful except for the tempura sushi. The miso soup was not nice because it had corn added too it which didn’t make it taste better (even though it’s a part of the concept) and a bad feedback on everything was not taken greatly, more as if they didn’t really care.

This unique take on Japanese / Peruvian cuisine prices to be a success. Although a bit overpriced, the plentiful menu and flavor combinations set the stage for some great exploration! I recommend the Nikkei Sushi Platter which compromises contemporary flavor twists and classic sushi. Truffle, jalapeños, aubergine, lemon and other ingredients too the sushi assortments.

Randy was excellent. The food was amazing and tasteful; presentation exceptional and most of all the restaurant is top notch!

We are a big Japanese and Honkonese group. Sushi rolls were very tasty. Rice itself is in good condition. In the beginning, drinks were coming slow , but meals were coming at a good timing, not so slow not so fast .There are many kinds of mocktails and tasty. Toilets are clean, tidy and beautiful. The staffs are kind. Thank you!
