A Culinary Delight – Exceptional! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Myra's in Dorchester, and it was an experience that surpassed all expectations. The dish I tried—a beautifully prepared chicken and potato entrée—was nothing short of spectacular. The chicken was cooked to absolute perfection, tender and juicy, with a sauce that can only be described as out of this world! The flavours were balanced masterfully and the potatoes were seasoned and cooked flawlessly (my favourite part!). What truly sets this place apart is the evident passion and care that goes into every dish. It's a joy to see a local restaurant maintaining such high standards of quality. It’s not every day you find a spot that hits every note so precisely, especially in the local dining scene. I am beyond pleased to have discovered this gem in Dorchester. I’ll certainly be back to explore more of their offerings and relive the exceptional experience.

The food was wonderful. We asked the advice of the waiter and we were not disappointed. The Tangerine sauce was divine. Highly recommended.

This was our second visit to Myra’s and our first since it came under new management. Everything was a vast improvement under the new owners, the difference was night and day. Atmosphere was nice, service great, food superb. Highly recommend the Prawn Tangsoo (King Prawn Tempura), without doubt the best king prawn tempura we’ve ever had and we both see ourselves as foodies and love our prawns. Thank you Myra’s for a great evening, we will be back!

Lovely food and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Every dish was remarkably good, but especially the combo of Japanese tuna and Korean beef sashimi. The staff were super helpful (we had our 15 month old along and he got a proper high chair with a table, a book to occupy him, and had some avocado maki!)

What a gem! Beautiful food, tasty, fresh and looked incredible! Highly recommend. Thank you we will be back, weekly if my son had his way!

Absolutely lovely meal. We had the set meal with 6 courses. The staff were very accommodating in making a couple of changes. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Would definitely recommend and return. Thank you!

A lunchtime treat! We ate the really great value lunchtime menu. Starting with prawns, I then followed this with the beef, absolutely amazing. Great glass of wine too!

We had the taster menu and the presentation and the flavours were superb. You can tell such care is put into each dish. The staff and owners are very welcoming and attentive. Excellent all round

Excellent food and presentation

While you can order individual stuff, the set menus are more like tasting menus, they change regularly, and you get many small plates. Beautifully made and presented, with some really interesting flavours. Staff were great, but it would be nice if they could let you know what’s on each plate as it comes out. Some dirty glasses and empty bottles were left on the table all meal, and we weren’t asked about top-ups. Really minor points, but you lose a bit of the “high end” shine the place has. This wouldn’t put me off visiting again. A really fantastic meal.

We went for a Business meal to Myra’s. Food was delicious exciting and visually stunning everything about for night was superb. Would recommend other people to visit if you haven’t tried Japanese food.

No doubt about it: we will be back! The quiet atmosphere of the restaurant captures you at first, then the incredible and attentive service opens the door to the main thing: the delicious food! The presentation of the dishes is impeccable, the quality of the product is amazing and the combination of flavours is out of this world! You can see that there is a lot of work behind the scenes thinking about what should be on the menu and what quantity is perfect to eat! really amazed, taste, quality, good service and price more than appropriate. First visit since the new owners reopened earlier this month. The staff were welcoming and polite. Food was served promptly and it was delicious. Good selection of Korean and Japanese items on the menu. Will visit again.

I really can't say enough nice things about Myra's. It's been a few years since I've been here, but it's just as amazing as it always was. The food is EXCEPTIONAL! This is not cheap, but it is worth every penny. The gentleman who serves is a wonderfully informative and unassuming man. He offers a warm welcome but would be equally at home as Jeeves in a PG Woodhouse novel. if you want really great food, fresh and in combinations that excite the palette, Myra's!!!

Excellent Japanese menu described in great detail by our waiter. My Sushi was made with local dorset crab and was exquiste. All the dishes were well presented. I had the Black Cod with Pak Choi for mains at it was delicious. Others had the chicken skewers these were also much enjoyed. A great wine list and selection of sake. The rest of my party had desserts that they found tasty. My only complaint would be no Japanese desserts. Lastly there is quite a smell of deep fried cooking that permeates the restaurant. I would still thoroughly recommend a visit ad will go back.

Came in this evening for my 21st birthday and I couldn’t have asked for more! service was thorough and sincere, food was amazing and the experience as a whole was above and beyond my expectations when it comes to dining- couldn’t recommend enough and definitely will be returning!

Spent a wonderful Saturday evening at Myra's. This was our first visit to a Japanese restaurant in 35 years and it led me to ask why we had left it so long. We decided to have the tasting menu and were delighted. The food is delicious- Myra delivers fantastic flavours dish after dish, and this is backed up by wonderful service from her son and husband. It feels like a true family event and you can see the care reflected in everything they do. Myra's is at the upper price bracket so don't expect a budget night out- but it is worth every penny.

Our first meal at Myra's last night. Fabulous dinner, good service and a lovely atmosphere. The sharing starter was a triumph and the desserts divine. Great to have a bottle of Langham Estate wine to accompany and I'm told the cocktail was exceptional. I cannot recommend enough and look forward to returning again soon.

Had a very nice dining experience here, food and service were good. It is a little on the pricey side, we paid £110 for two people. Would particularly recommend the ramune fizzy drinks and the matcha and pistachio dessert.

Just some spectacular Japanese food, the fish is incredibly fresh and delicate, the black cod is so perfect it falls apart and the soya yuzu is perfect with the rice. The plum sake is sweet and delicious, as is the pistachio dessert, if you can manage it. The front of house is the kind and knowledgeable husband to the incredible wife and chef in the kitchen, how he’s svelte is anyone’s guess with a wife who can cook like this! Fantastic food, fantastic service, very kind and attentive serving staff, just couldn’t recommend Myra’s enough 🙂

Excellent restaurant using high quality ingredients. The chef executes her dishes very well and front of house also perform well - enjoyed our 2nd visit and will certainly be back again.

Excellent food. The Sushi in particular was fantastic, although I think I would have happily enjoyed everything on the menu. The gentlemen who served us was very professional and took the time to give me and my friends recommendations. On his advice me and one of my friends shared two of the mixed platers. Beautiful environment as well. An excellent experience all-round.

My first experience of Japanese food and it was brilliant! I was part of a party of 12 and we began with sharing platters. More than enough on the platters and I struggled to make room for a main course. I had spme fabulous chicken skewers with rice and salad and didn't have room for a dessert. Authentic Japanese beer on draught rounded things off. Wonderful attentive and helpful staff, we had a great night out. Definitely worth another visit.

A Wonderful restaurant. We were welcomed in on our arrival by the wonderful front of house lady. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks available. They're really lucky to have someone like this. We tried a the taster menu which was lovely. Each course provides a small selection of what's on the menu. Great if you've never been before.

Had a lovely meal of the mixed sushi and izakaya sharing platter and a nice warm sake. Service and ambience was excellent. Will come again!

Had a excellent birthday dinner here for my son. Lovely balloon and candles and sparkler in the dessert were a really nice surprise. Food was excellent and came very quickly. Would highly recommend.

Phenomenal evening meal in here last night. Can honestly say it's been a long time since we have received such quality of service, alongside the food going above and beyond. 7 course tasting menu & not a single dish left you feeling it lacked anything, so many flavours & textures to fill your palate. (I now thoroughly enjoy Sake) best place to try it if you're intrigued. We will both be back for sure!

Service 10/10 Food 9/10 Value for experience 10/10 The staff are warm, welcoming and very well informed of the dishes, with detailed explanations and drink pairing recommendations. The Food is sophisticated and authentic with a brilliant array of flavour combinations. In the 3 hours we dined the food and flavors was the main conversation we had. The sake was authentically prepared and delicious. An offering of Wagyu a5 beef was delicious and unique for someone who has never tasted wagyu before. Overall a thoroughly outstanding experience highly recommended

They do nice sushi - not my first love generally. Other items on the menu I found really fantastic. Been twice looking forward to going back. Update: because of COVID haven't been for a while - took friends - is as good as ever or better - it definitely caters for foodies. Aim to go back soon.

Amazing meal, we arrived in the area late and found the restaurant through TripAdvisor went along and were warmly welcomed. Has a very nice family run feel supported by informative explanation of the menu which was very beneficial.

Wow! Extra helpful staff and fresh food that melts in your mouth. Congratulations to the team and especially to the man that greeted us and gave us some advice. Not cheap but I have paid the same amount or more for average dinners. Today it was £152 for two but that’s what I call well spent money!

Exquisite! Very personalised service, I haven't found at any other eatery. Beautifully presented & delicious food. Large range of Sake, cocktails, wines & mocktails.Sushi, crab & tempura starters. Mains including Raman, noodles, rice, seafood, meat & vegetarian dishes. The desserts are just divine. Fairly small restaurant, intimate dining but all are made very welcome. We dined here for our wedding anniversary it really is very special but you don't need a special occasion to eat here. We highly recommend.

Amazing food. Sharing platter 50/50 was the way to go and the Black cod was the best. Good choice of drinks also. Service charge automatically added, 12.5% but I would have happily done this anyway!

Wonderful attentive service adds to the impact of this incredibly high quality food. I wish I had tried more sushi, the ones I did try on the half and half platter were nice if not spectacular but everything other than the sushi were spectacular.

We visited Myra restaurant last night and had a excellent night the food was outstanding and service brilliant having gone out to many restaurants I would put this in my top 10 favourites well done Myra keep it up
