My Father's Moustache in East Lindsey

I ordered a Sunday roast delivery from here and it went in the bin as soon as it arrived! Everything was burnt to a crisp and absolutely disgusting, I would not recommend eating here at all! I've heard from a few people how awful the food has been there for a while now but thought we'd give it a go for ourselves. Avoid at all costs and don't waste your money here!

Had a shocking Sunday Lunch yesterday. Beef was inedible...tough as old boots, left it all. Undercooked frozen cauliflower, frozen peas and a few thinly sliced carrots, 2 roast potatoes, burned Yorkshire pudding. A table of 4 were just leaving as we sat down and advised us not to order as their meal had not been good at all. In fairness staff were pleasant. Just for the record I've been a Chef for 40 years and it was truly bad.

Visited 12th September 2024 for an evening meal for 4 of us. All food superbly cooked, delicious too & at a realistic price. Very friendly nice couple who obviously are working hard to make a success of this nice little pub! Thank you..

Just had a wonderful meal here on the off chance. Past this place hundreds of times but never thought to go in for a meal. I had the Chicken Liver Pate and my husband had Fish and Chips. We both had the Blueberry and Almond Tart for desert. Food was absolutely delicious and great value, will definitely be back!

We went to a wedding here and I was very touched by the effort to cater for my vegan requirements. A big thank you for being so thoughtful and looking after me, you couldn’t have done better. The bar staff were incredibly hard working and really friendly.

We were here for a family wedding and it was most beautifully done.staff were efficient and professional in a discreet and unobtrusive manner.Obviously a team,well done!

My cousin and I visited this pub we were intrigued by the pub name. We went for dinner.I had the fish and chips it was wonderful my cousin had the baked Salmon and she said it was lovely. We would definitely recommend this restaurant very welcoming and service was very good

Went for dinner with the family, traditional pub environment, the was food great value, very good quality and homemade. Steak and Ale pie was particularly good but unfortunately they did run out so we couldn't all have it. My only criticism was it felt a bit sparse almost canteen-like with the Carvery servery at the side, however this was probably due to Covid restrictions. Will certainly be going back.

Perfect Sunday dinner as always. The beef is amazing, veg all cooked to perfection and great service. Definitely recommend. Best roast in Louth by a mile!

Today Sunday, I call at 11.30 for take out, 4 lamb dinners and 3 children's beef dinners. The man who took my call was lovely he asked what time I would like it I said 1 maybe 2 it came at 1.20 piping hot plenty of everything and was polished off by all. Just under £58 & was worth every penny. Will be doing that again. Enjoy

I recently visited my fathers moustache with some friends. We ordered the burgers and lasagne. And they were absolutely incredible, the chips are all homemade and fresh. The burgers were huge, and the lasagne was the best we’ve ever had. Will definitely return!

Fantastic food and brilliant service, can't find any negatives. Deffo visit again, well worth the drive from Grimsby.

What a great little boozer, lady who has it now used to cook in town, but she's kept the magic and transferred it to this place, roast dinner the morning after was a mind blowing meal, pub was clean, tidy and everyone seemed happy with the rules.

We tried The Tache for the first time in ages and cannot recommend it enough! Pauline & Dave are excellent hosts and the ambient decor is really fresh & inviting...we are both a bit fussy and the food was delicious! You must try the Garlic mushrooms with ciabatta & prawn cocktail! Big portions and full of flavour, the home made Steak pie was perfect, not to mention the fresh vegetables and Chips which actually had colour & so tasty, unlike the anaemic ones you find everywhere. So affordable and good honest home cooked food served with a smile! What more could you ask for! TRY IT TODAY...you won’t be disappointed.Thanks guys! Xx

Friendly staff. Came in to watch six nations and grab a light snack. Soup was thick and hot. Tasted good. With decent size roll. Service was good, nothing was no trouble.

I started popping into my Father's Moustache in August 2019 I use to go to gigs when I was younger and haven't been in for years I saw they was serving food!!! I pulled in and nice to see parking for customers, I walked into the bar / restaurant with its open planning space, I felt wellcome straight away served with a genuine smile, I ordered some food and a coke. the service was a fantastic experience and the food was grate I oderd a home comfort of mine scampi and chips sides nicely presented and it hit the right spot lovey staff and owners I'd definitely go again

We found this place a few months ago and thought it was great - the gravy is to die for, however we went today and was really disappointed, fake yorkies, roast spuds and stuffing. The cauliflower cheese looked like bread sauce and the cabbage was over cooked, the meat was in liquid! Sorry, we were praising it before, feel embarrassed now

My wife is coeliac and so often she is left disappointed with little or no gluten free options in restaurants. The current occupants have only been in 6 weeks but deserve to make a success of their venture. Nothing was too much trouble and, after confirming that the chilli was homemade and had no flour added, went away to check that the nachos were corn, which they were. The final plus was that they had a gluten free syrup sponge pudding. Me and my son had the steak deal which was excellent.

The all you can eat breakfast is worth every penny , very reasonable for the 5 of us that went , top quality products , not cheap see through bacon and horrid pink sausages , plus as an added bonus the continental I myself enjoyed had a brilliant variety of fresh fruits to choose from so could enjoy breakfast with my family and stay on track healthy eating while they filled their boots on all the lovely full English breakfast . Will definitely go again .

Racing at Cadwell park, and drove out to find food, stumbled upon this place, just as kitchen had closed. The owners said it’s fine to order. Nice menu choices. Absolute giant portions. Friendly staff, and nice customers/locals that interacted with us. We will be returning here, when next at racing. Thankyou, from the Blue team and the black team

Had a lovely meal at the tash, hubby had a voucher given him for father's day, put it somewhere safe and couldn't find it . I had medium rare rump steak and chips, served with mushroom, grilled tomato, peas and onion rings, which were delicious, I also had a peppercorn sauce, that wasn't quite right, it didn't taste of much pepper and was made with cream but needed to be thicker, hubby had gammon, chips, mushroom, peas and onion rings and eggs, he thoroughly enjoyed it, the young man that served was lovely, polite and friendly, thankyou for a lovely meal.

We were staying in Louth as we were attending the race meeting at Cadwell Park. So we decided to have dinner and a few drinks in My Fathers Moustache on Saturday night. I had the fish and chips which were delicious and a good size. A couple had the gammon and although the gammon wasn't very big it was well cooked and came with a plate of extras. Service was good and the staff were very friendly. Even got a free bottle of wine as two had the steak deal.

We held Kida’s christening at the above venue on the 4th August 2019 they supplied a very good Buffett service was excellent and the owners went the extra mile to make it great success

The Sunday carvery was unpleasant. Vegetables were mushy and bland tasting, meat rank and was in a weird liquid on the serving tray, Yorkshire’s outta packet and limited sauces. £9.95 is an ok price ok if the qualities there but it wasn’t. I won’t be going back. Plus feels dated in there.

Lovely! Really clean and comfortable i had lasagne which was recommended and was really really nice. Struggled to finish other half had steak and certainly enjoyed it. Lovely pub, lovely food, lovely friendley staff.

We are staying in the area and decided to go out and eat one night. We booked the table over the phone and when we arrived we were greeted with a cheerful smile. Drinks were served quickly and before we sat down the waitress checked our table.

Went in today for the all you can eat breakfast which has just started. Was a great breakfast and so much choice. From a full English to a fruit salad. Something for everyone. Definitely be back for more.

Had a 3hr journey from Preston to Skegness and had missed the services due to motorway mishaps and found this little gem..service from start to finish was impeccable..Sat outside on a lovely day and felt like royalty..steak pie mash veg was amazing, a burger and a curry was ordered and had the thumbs up too..you have to be prepared to wait for home cooked food and was well worth waiting for.. glad we missed the services and far more better and prices very very reasonable as you cld feed an army on the portions..thankyou very much and I hope to see you again next year.

Called in to meet friends for lunch, made very welcome from the start, the place was very clean and welcoming. Totally overawed by the food, definitely know you've eaten, couldn't fault it.

The pub is nice and clean, well presented and the food was EXCELLENT. I can honestly state that the food is well presented and very very tasty. Home cooked and the service is pleasant and welcoming.

On our way to Skegness and couldn't find many options for dinner in Louth. So the moustache it was. Friendly enough service but took an age to order, bring drinks, and bring food, especially since the place wasn't busy. Ordered the fish Friday night deal, that came with a bottle of wine. This was English 8% wine, and was truly vile. We took it home with us, but ended up in bin. Terrible. Food was OK for pub grub, and apparently the salmon was very good.

Went with my Nan, my sister and nephew for a mid week lunch. Staff were very friendly and the food was amazing...huge portions of proper pub grub. Great value for money. The only downside was the length of time waiting for the food once the order was placed.

The restaurant is really nice, and the staff very friendly. The food we had for lunch was excellent. Would recommend it to anyone. Will definitely return, especially want to try the Sunday carvery.

The staff were rude and unprepared for serving vegan food despite confirming it was sorted 3 times on the phone in advance of the visit. Food was okay but disappointed by the rude service.

Excellent, presentation excellent, little present for the children, not rushed and food excellent! Will be doing it next year.

Two of us went for our Christmas Day lunch which was excellent. Plenty of choice, nice hot plates, and the tables were beautifully decorated. We even got a Christmas card each. I could thoroughly recommend this and will certainly be going again

After an awful journey down to louth on fri 14th dec 2018 we called into to get something to eat , it said served food from 6pm yo 8pm . This was at quarter to 8pm and on asking they said no sorry we are busy with a xmas party. Not very pleased with the answer as it was quarter to 8 and there was only the two of us .

We thought we would try here for my dads birthday as a surprise all 21 of us and we were not disappointed,Firstly the staff were bloody amazing every single one went out of their way to make sure this was a perfect evening so a massive thanks to all of you , the food was plentiful and delicious the atmosphere was perfect I would recommend this little gem of a place to all and sundry, thanks again

Steak night last night was excellent, the sirloin was tender tasty and juicy, realy good value and always great service.

My Daughter had her wedding reception at My Father's Moustache in the Venue Suite & I have to say that it looked absolutely amazing, Pauline, Dave & staff had worked their socks off, the suite lighting matched the chair/table covers, the organisation, food etc was out of this world, nothing was to much trouble if any little alterations were needed, certainly took the stress out of a wonderful day, can't recommend enough

A marvellous event and enjoyable to everyone. The decorating for Halloween was amazing. The food looked delicious too.

We needed to find an eating place between two performances at the Riverside theatre. We had heard of “My Father’s Moustache” and decided to give it a try. What a very good choice we made. The staff were very obliging, the place itself was very welcoming and the food was outstanding. We will certainly be dining here again.

Had a steak dinner, was really nice and tasty. Had plenty of food, will be back very soon. Pauline and Dave have revamped the restaurant and looks really nice and cosy. Can't wait till winter comes and they start the fire. Will be really nice with a roaring fire

Pleasantly surprised by this place. The bar is separate from the restaurant so you don't get a 'pubby' atmosphere. Oh and table cloths - quite a revelation! Quite busy on a Wednesday lunchtime with groups of friends. Couldn't fault the food it was delicious but I'd say it was a little over priced for what it was. Worth a visit though.

The carvery here is very good. Always hot. Great choice of vegetables. Staff lovely Not expensive at all.

Visited this venue once again this time for an evening meal for my sister's birthday and the food and service were excellent, and that's why we've booked in again for September 4th.

I met up with my friend for lunch, I liked the new refurbishment.

I have always heard good things about this pub and always pass by it and see that is it busy, so I decided to give it a try. I booked in for a carvery on Sunday and drove all the way from Grimsby only to get rudely turned away at the bar. I also heard one member of staff swearing aggressively at the chef. This is very unprofessional and is not what I expect when taking my family out for a meal. I would not recommend and will definitely not be coming back.

Called in today for first time and was immediately struck by how friendly the landlady/ bar person was. We had a “light bite” Bacon, Brie and cranberry toastie which was excellent and very filling! Chips were fab. Highly recommend this place and we will definitely call again when I get dragged to B@Q or Aldi!!

Having just visited, Saturday 14th July, I am full of praise for the food,service and the reception we received. The landlady made us feel very welcome and ensured everything was 1st class. Highly recommended.

Food is excellent, traditional type pub, with quality food of a top end restaurant. Great prices and friendly staff. Have eaten here a few times now, and the food was perfect, tasty and filling every time. I would highly recommend a visit. One of the best restaurants in Louth.

Visited this venue on May 2nd along with 40 other people after my Mothers funeral, The staff made us all feel very welcome and were very helpful throughout our time there, The buffet they provided was simply outstanding with everybody commenting how delicious it was, I would certainly recommend this venue.

Went with a crowd for an evening meal after it being highly recommended ! The place was new and modernly decorated, there are zones and it felt really homely in places. There happened to be a large Function going on that was 'Rocking' (however, you couldn't/wouldn't hear this if you were in the Restaurant) !!! The atmosphere was so friendly, the staff couldn't do enough and the food was second to none !!! It's defo the place I shall go back to the next time I'm in Louth !!! 10 out of 10 !!!!!

dont judge a book by its cover....I’ve passed this pub so many times without a second thought but we called in for an evening meal...omg it’s lovely inside, the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent...we will definitely be going back

Called in here today when I was over to visit family .. They decor is certainly better now it is in new hands and the choice of meals was very good.. Fantastic to see proper chips instead of frozen.. My grandson loved his cheeseburger with proper cheese instead of a cheese square.. And the skewered prawns got a big thumbs up.. we also had pulled pork burger and scampi. Couldn't fault it at all. Certainly come back when we over.

Had to go to B&Q; for essential plumbing bits. My Fathers Moustache is on the edge of an Industrial Estate and was the nearest after we got the bits from B&Q.; Not extra impressive on the outside car park difficult pub extremely welcoming on the inside. Was made to feel very welcome by staff straight away and were served at the table. the menu was good so I picked Lamb hot-pot and my wife ordered Chicken breast, I ordered a local beer (From Horncastle) and my wife had lemonade. The beer was unusual but very good, the meals although they took some time were exceptional, glad we didn;t have starters or desserts as we were eating again later. The Lamb hot-pot was accompanied by lots of greens and my wifes by veg and potatoes. It seems all meals are prepared to order which explains the wait. Will most definitely be going again when in Louth as the menu is worth another try, prices affordable. Staff were very friendly and the dining area comfortable.

Popped in after work when I found out it’s Fajita night omg there amazing not many places do Fajitas in this town but these r the best I’ve had pop in and give it a try I won’t b disappointed

It was very busy, however there was a great atmosphere (no one stressing out!) We were welcomed so nicely and shown where to sit. It was sunday carvery &we; hadnt been before however the process was explained and additional help/advice given for a vegetarian&a; fussy child! The service of food, by the chef, was delightful and polite explaining the food and what was available.Table service for drinks was very appreciated. The price was very reasonable. We all enjoyed our afternoon.

Fantastic value for money. Sunday lunch as good as your mother used to make. As a small family we have gained hours of free time on Sundays and spent less on a quality meal here than we would have spent cooking for ourselves. Thank you to the jovial, welcoming and hard working staff who were pleased to look after us. They were also very "child-friendly" and couldn't have done more to make us welcome with our 18mth old grand-daughter.

Every Sunday I cook a roast , it takes up most of my Sunday , not anymore we now go for Sunday lunch , it's brilliant home cooked fresh produce. Choice of meat , non of this al dental veg , proper home cooking , Yorkshire pudding to die for , staff more than friendly , nothing to much trouble ,I now have more time on a Sunday for my family , it's amazing , My mum always has a pudding , (I am to full ) and the delight in her face , she has not found one she hasn't liked yet ,love my Sunday's now thank you all and your so accommodating when I bring our granddaughter , please never stop or alter what you do , you have it more than just right .

Visiting family in Louth and we went as a party of 8. Heard it was under new management and food was meant to be good. We sat in front of a lovely open fire which was lovely. Well we had a mixture of lasagne, pies, lamb hot pot, saus and mash and beef stew. Can only be described as amazing. There was so much meat in the stews and hot pot as Well as plenty in all other meals. All meals were presented beautfully was hot and could tell we're fresh. Was very generous portions. Unfortunately I went out and also had a big lunch that day so after dinner I was stuffed so couldn't manage a pudding. I won't make that mistake twice. As I want sticky toffee pudding. I will be back on my next family visit. Well worth a visit food amazing and staff friendly.

We went on a Wednesday night for our monthly date night. We haven't been since its been under new management & we always had good meals before. We sat near a lovely open fire which pleased us both as I like to play with fires (its a man thing!) Service was by the landlady i think who is nice & friendly. We both ordered pies for a change which were served with a mixture of veg & some very nice chunky chips,. Food was hot & very well presented. There was a good choice of puddings, again decent size & well presented. The chef obviously is passionate about his food. I did notice there was a good selection of fruity ciders which are well worth trying. Prices were very reasonable & food is very good & well presented. We shall return & recommend to our friends.

Visiting my home town for the weekend and knew that this place was under new management and had got good reviews. We had afternoon tea and it was really lovely one of the best I've had . Mini toad in the holes with gravy, fish and chunky chips, mini quiche and assorted finger sandwiches , chocolate brownies, jam and cream scones and brandy snap baskets filled with strawberries and cream it was very nicely presented and all washed down with a pot of tea. Before we left we had a couple of alcoholic beverages I can recommend the rhubarb vodka and the mango vodka never tried them before but I'm definitely hooked . We will definitely be paying another visit and cannot recommend enough , a big thank you to my fathers moustache for the warm welcome and for a pleasant afternoon .

Came here with my boyfriend for a meal. The food was so delicious. Their themed food night are good value for money. My favourite being the fajita night! The staff are so lovely and very helpful with any question you might have. The homemade cheese cakes are to die for. Couldn't decide between two so had to have both and they didn't disappoint. Definitely recommend trying this place. Worth every star.

We have been here for the last 2 Sundays now and the food, service and value for money have been fantastic. We are looking forward to trying food there during the week.

We had drinks before our meal , nice pint of hobgoblin !! We all had carvery and was all very pleased with our meal , DELICIOUS !! Staff can't do enough for you ! We will be back !!

My hubby & I had been sightseeing around lincoln all day & the last thing we wanted to do was cook something to eat so decided to call in here on our way home, we weren't disappointed. Pauline was very attentive & nothing was too much trouble. We opted for 2 courses, I had pate & hubby had goats cheese tart & we both opted for pies as our main, chicken & mushroom & steak & ale. It was all scrummy, just what we needed after a day of walking & climbing stairs this place is well worth a visit.

Good food in a nice and clean place with friendly staff, always get a nice friendly welcome, the Sunday carvery is very nice at a good price. The venue - function room looks good and I will use this the next time I have a function

We are a group who go to the Riverhead Theatre in Louth regularly, and decided it would be nice to have an early dinner before the show. We discovered My Father's Moustache - excellent food, nice venue, very good prices. But when I phoned to make a booking two weeks ago I was told that they had closed the restaurant! To say we were surprised is an understatement. Great pity - we have now found another place to go before shows.

Myself and my partner were looking for somewhere to have Sunday lunch, unfortunately as it was Mothers day, this was proving difficult as most places were fully booked. Although that turned out to be the case here, they still managed to find us a table! The food was served promptly and was delicious. The staff were friendly and we will definitely be going back soon!

Lovely setting for special occasion of valentines day. Thought it a bit expensive but was beautively presented, very tasty and nice selection to choose from. Service quick and waitress very pleasant.
