8 course tasting menu with wine pairing absolutely faultless on all counts, food was stunning with the wines beautifully matched, service was excellent with a knowledgeable sommelier. Would definitely return.

Obscene price for very little food - left hungry. Terrible atmosphere in bar as was so empty so not even worth going to people watch or have them see u spend £££…no one there!!! Sushi & saki was outstanding tho - but NOT worth even half of what they charge!!!

We opted for the 12 course tasting menu that didn’t disappoint,everything was outstanding.Amazing fresh food,great atmosphere and outstanding service.My new favourite restaurant in Manchester.

Went for the live Tuna Cutting Experience which was absolutely fantastic. The chefs were extremely knowledgeable and the butchery of the fish was amazing to watch. Quite difficult to get a good view of the fish as there was a lot of people crowded round a small area. Would recommend - very different thing to do!

Have dined at Musu a few times now , if I could I’d dine there every week , it’s just the most delicious food . Has a great atmosphere, fabulous professional service and the most amazing dining experience. It’s all of a very high standard and I think worthy of a Michelin star. It’s obvious the owner has gone to great expense and effort to make this a destination restaurant and one of Manchester’s top restaurants. The sommelier’s are outstanding, really take the time to explain and recommend a great wine . Musu has a wonderful Champagne and wine list . There is a nice bar area for pre dinner drinks . All the girls that work there are especially nice Freya who organised my bookings and Abbey that looked after me most of the evening made my night especially nice . I really recommend this restaurant , I look forward to future dining and special event evenings . I particularly enjoyed the French/Japanese tasting menu evening they had back in late December .

Love Japanese food and I have been wanting to try Musu for a while. We decided to go there for lunch and opted for the 8 courses tasting menu. Courteous and knowledgeable staff, service is excellent and not intrusive at all. The place is really beautiful and we really loved the vibe of the place. The cocktails were beautiful and tasted incredible. In terms of food: all 8 courses and amuse bouches were absolutely fantastic in terms of presentation and more importantly in terms of taste. The Sashimi, Nigiri ( most incredible Nigiri I have tasted in the UK), scallop, yakitori chicken, duck and lemonade desert were stand out. Will definitely visit again for sushi and very likely the 12 course menu. Believe they are doing a Tuna event in May as well which I will likely attend if I’m free.

Excellent 12 course tasting menu. Variety was brilliant and the restaurant itself has a lovely layout and the atmosphere was vibrant and well balanced. Celebrated a birthday here, table of 2 and the staff were amazing throughout, well informed, polite and attentive but not intrusive and I can’t fault the place. A memorial birthday meal, thank you!

We booked for the tasting menu and were really looking forward to the experience. A week or so later we received an email from the restaurant saying it was now booked for a "private event" on the evening we'd reserved, asking us to rebook a different date and offering a complimentary drink on the new date as a goodwill gesture. I replied straight away - no response. Followed up a few days later - no response. And again a few days later - no response. There's plenty of other great places around that don't cancel your booking and do respond to customer requests - go there instead!

Absolutely amazing dinner. We had the tasting menu and it was worth every penny. The flavours were like fireworks, a total explosion of flavours! The staff were amazing and being able to see the chefs at work was incredible. The calmness was infectious. Everything was fantastic. We have been to Japan many times and this food was on a par with anything we have eaten there!

The restaurant is very stylish but there is care and talent that goes into the food, wine and drinks which exceeds expectations. Really is as good as anywhere I’ve had in the UK. Outstanding sushi, the tuna nagiri selection is exceptional as is the tempura. They care about your experience. I can only imagine the dense population of good restaurants mean it’s difficult to get Michelin recognition but it really is up there

We went for lunch and the food was amazing. The portions were very small but tasted exquisite. The restaurant was modern and immaculate throughout and you were able to see the food being prepared. The service was excellent and the waiter explained all the courses to ensure we understood what we were eating. Would definitely go back a great experience. .

What a lovely late lunch we had. My friend and I came and tried the three course sushi tasting menu, which was an okay amount of food. Each course came with a very well paired glass of wine, and our sommelier knew an impressive amount about each of the wines. We were incredibly well looked after and it was a rare gem of an experience. We booked again on our way out and will be regulars here. Keep it up guys.

Second visit and not disappointed. The food is exceptional and the cooking , or I should say preparing is top rate Had the al a carte this time and it was exceptional. Tuna Tartare was the best I have ever eaten, beautiful. Chicken Yakatori was divine. The mains and puddings couldn’t be faulted. Truly excellent food. It’s not cheap but you pay for the quality of ingredients, the skills of the chefs and the impeccable service. One of the best restaurants in Manchester.
