Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Everything about this restaurant is good. Facilities are sparkling clean, it's neat and no rubbish on the floor at all. The food is very tasty and good, the staff are extremely helpful and kind. I highly recommend this restaurant, and there is no doubt in my mind that I'll come for a 2nd time soon.

Perfect for purpose. We had a film to watch and wanted to grab a healthier alternative to most fast food. The place was quiet and had a full variety of sushi and warm food. With self service it was easy to pop in and out with no hassle at all. Easy for a quick and tasty meal. Would highly recommended the mochi.

I really don’t like doing this but itsu Manchester left me with no choice tonight. I work in london normally and eat a lot a various itsu spots there, and NEVER has any of those branches had an issue with reducing the amount of green peas in my food. I always without fail ask for fewer peas and it’s never a problem. Manchester itsu tells me no they cannot and it’s strictly on an order from the powers that be. Shame on such management. I didn’t even ask for the veg to be swapped for something else, I just asked for them to reduce it but no they refused. Poor poor poor and they should learn from branches down south. See from my photo, I had to request a container to empty the green peas, and thats only a fraction of all the peas in the food because I can’t remove everything. I don’t mind a bit of it but certainly not they much. The blatant refusal raises suspicion that the business is intentionally using green peas to make up for what should have been the actual food (rice, meat, etc). Things like this should be liable to sanction!!

Love Itsu concept and food. I visit it everywhere I travel from London to Edinburgh. Don't forget to add miso to you order :)

I rarely leave 1-star reviews, but my experience at Itsu left me with no other choice. The members of the staff are lovely and accommodating, but it's the manager, Suli, who has made my visits unbearable. I made a simple request - to exclude rice from the two soups I ordered because I'm on a ketogenic diet and can't have any carbohydrates. I was met with absolute resistance from Suli. I explained that I have no allergies and it's a dietary preference. However, he adamantly refused to accommodate my request, stating that it's a matter of allergies. It was frustrating and disappointing to see the manager not willing to respect a customer's wishes and satisfaction. This rigid attitude towards a simple dietary request is not what I expect from a place that values its customers. I felt unheard and disregarded. I sincerely hope that Itsu takes customer satisfaction more seriously in the future and that the management, especially Suli, reevaluates their approach to customer service.

Very cosy place, lively food and reasonable prices

I bought a "chicken big bao" from Tesco - it was the most disgusting food I've ever tried; waxy & stodgey outer, really salty middle with no chicken that I could identify - absolutely revolting!

So the food is decent and it's nice to be able to grab some sushi that's gluten free. The prices have crept up a bit due to the cost of living, but that's to be expected. The thing that really annoys me about this place is the staff's attitude. They treat every customer like a criminal. So many occasions I have gone in and they will be looking over your shoulder at the kiosks, making sure you're not 'stealing' from them and inputting the correct order. Then when you look around because you can feel their eyes burning a hole in the back of your head, they pretend to look away like they weren't silently discriminating against you. It's disgusting and I shan't be eating there again. Today was the final time of this nonsense. I'm there for a meal, not a burglary.

You can’t customise any of the cooked dishes. I really don’t like peas or raw onions so I asked for them to remove the veg/salad but they refused to just… not put peas in because of ‘policy’?. Never had customisation problems in London or Cambridge Itsu it’s just this branch. Menu is more limited than in the south as well. Terrible experience, never thought asking to skip a step in assembling my order would be such an issue. There we’re more peas in the box than chicken or rice so highly recommend sticking to the self serve stuff.

Fairly decent eatery , i would say. I have been to quite a few itsu restaurants in London , the atmosphere and food over there is much better i would compared itsu manchester.

I endured an alarming visit with a friend who is allergic to red peppers. We were encouraged to use the digital screens to order. My friend viewed what we believed was the ingredient list for the dish she wanted and also the allergen list. Red pepper wasn’t present in either. When she received the hot pot noodle from the pick up desk she was alarmed to find red pepper inside. When approached, Unge / Unga the supervisor / manager insisted that the issue was entirely ours , explaining that all the ingredients are printed on the bottom of the container. Which they weren’t when we looked. Then she said we should have asked a staff member. And then she said we should have checked the laminate ingredient list that was available, but not visible or signposted by writing or by staff during our ordering process. Unge’s manner was forceful to the point of being confrontational and rude. No empathy, understanding or apology offered. Just blame placed firmly on us, which left a bad taste in our mouths. My friend and I were surprised at the reaction and how full ingredients aren’t listed when you click on a meal to buy it. That would be okay if staff were primed to ask if visitors had allergens, as so many other restaurants do now. Lastly all of this could have been saved and changed into a positive, with a more receptive manager showing understanding and offering an alternative meal. However none of this happened and Itsu is somewhere that holds a lot less appeal now.

Loved the food, wow just wow. Everything was spot on and so delicious. Highly recommended the ribs as everyone loved these and they are like mini steak cubes but taste like really good ribs. Service was great always coming to top up drinks. Atmosphere was nice but a little too dark in booth and music so loud that's it was hard to talk to people on opposite end of table but other than that it was an incredible experience and the staff are very helpful

Itsu always the best option for sushi and they defo have the best moochi I have tried so far.

I generally don't like chains but this is different. I like salmon and avocado, and they have just a perfect combo. Prices are reasonable, and everything is automated. I live close by, so it's ideal for a takeaway.

Second visit to TATTU on a Tuesday evening Vs a weekend. Early dinner with a friend. The food was delicious, drinks great and the service excellent. Will definitely be back again

Great option to choose from. Also if you visit the restaurant 30 minutes before closing itsu has a special offer which halves the prices of most of the items on display not all, feel free to ask staff about it. Will definitely visit again, absolutely worth the price. Great quality sushi. Thanks

Nice lunch spot, not a restaurant but more a light lunch or lunch break place. If you like the itsu noodle pots then you'll like this. There is seating indoor and outside and you can order hot noodle bowls and drinks.

The sushi was ok, rice dish was horrible. The rice was hard and filled with sauce, man behind the counter did not seem interested at all.

Great place for a quick bite. Order and pay ahead. See most of the dishes on display before ordering. Take a seat and wait to collect your order. The customer service is just superb.

Best quality fast lunch in town

Great place for a quick bite, sushi is good, and the calories are stated on everything. Fast self service, and you can always get a seat at a bench during the lunchtime rush. Fair veggie options.

Perhaps a bit unfair to base a review on a single take-away dish. But I had pot noodles and chicken. The chicken was tender but the sort of dilute curry soup in which the noodles floated was so anonymous that I didn't enjoy it much. There were a few, very chewy, bits of some green veg and some quite nice beans floating around, too. Fairly cheap, I guess. And hot. But I expected better.

Vegetable broth was sour and unappealing, definetly didn't taste fresh. The salmon dragon rolls were nice but the char-grilled chicken ramen tasted like ash and nothing else. Overall dissapointed, will not return.

Fresh and healthy twist to some great food

Surprisingly good sushi for decent prices. Quick and easy, perfect if you're on the go. Just be wary that if you get sashimi there may be bones in it.

Ordered takeaway, the dumplings in soup are a bit soggy, sushi and teriyaki chicken rice is nice, teriyaki rice & steamed dumplings came in a set as meal deal which is a good deal. Overall it’s quite nice if you want Japanese food as a quick bite.

We ordered a party platter, the overall quality was ok, but the nigiri had a huge amount of wasabi in them.

really needed some lunch and dropped in here as it got quieter at the end of lunchtime. Service was v friendly and helpful. Chicken noodles were amazing - nice tasty udon and a lovely tang to the chicken. Had a slightly strange fizzy ginger drink to go with it, not sure about that. Tables were all clean, and staff working hard to keep it all ship shape. Great lunch thanks !

They Didn't want to heat up my meal. I was told that it was cooked pretended and I got it cold from the fridge. It was chicken and rice based so I expected to eat it warm. Overall bad experience, I was expecting better.

Terrible… decided to get takeaway, small portions, the rice was way off the mark, hard and bland. The goyza stale and chewy. The katsu clean curry was horrible the spice and balance of the curry sauce it’s self was not right and overall dry served with a few pieces of boiled chicken. Sadly way off the mark wouldn’t order from here again.

Sadly this itsu was not of good quality. I have been to many and this one didnt hit the mark. The food was dry and cold and when I asked for soy sacuce i was given a tiny capsule unlike when they used to have bottles on the table. Staff were not rude but also were not outstandingly polite either. All round average store.

I went to London last week and ate at one of the ITSU place at London, today I went to the one in Manchester and brought 7 dishes, one was a vegan green grain/rice and it was musty! The smell was horrible , it look it like it was old food being sold , the person who just tried it , its sick now . The branch better hope the person doesn't go to the hospital. Don't buy it in Manchester! 3 of the dishes were bad and one was musty. I have no complaints with the ones in London.
