So we went looking looking for records and couldn't believe that there is a cafe too!! 2 hours later having enjoyed delicious toasties and some seriously good coffee and cake we left laden with records. The coffee was so good we bought the beans and we will definitely be back for more cake!! The record selection was a great mix of new and used and I found some gems to add to my collection - reggae, psych & indie were particularly well represented.

We visited Hebden bridge on a cold wet day. Having had a good luck round we were ready for a sit down and a cup of tea. This lovely little café served up a good pot of tea with china cups and saucers. it came with an offer of top up if we needed more, which we didn't need. There was ample. We sat in comfort and enjoyed our tea with some very good music playing in the background. The Muse music is an absolute treasure trove of good music both vinyl and CD. Four of us called in to hide from the rain and what a great find! Excellent tasty sandwiches, superb Coffee, Hot Chocolate and Tea. The owners were great, good to talk to and the cafe was clean with a five star hygiene rating. Being an ageing old rocker though, the Jewel in the crown for me was the music side to the business. Pre owned CD's, DVD's and Vinyl and a really great guy to talk to who was passionate about his business. Fifteen pounds later and I had a Led Zep DVD, a Dylan CD, a Neil Young CD and a Neil Young DVD/CD collection. Will definitely call again when in town!

When Muse Music and the Love Cafe got devastated in the Boxing Day flood of 2015, it seemed impossible that Sid and Valeen would recover their business. However such was the love and support for them locally that the town raised the money to help them reopen. Valeen serves the best coffee in Hebden (seconded only by Cafe Solo) and although this place is TINY with a small savoury menu, it is well worth a visit for it's cakes and to see what magic happens when a community pulls together to save a local treasure.

This place has music to suit most tastes, but for me it it is the fact that there is an abundance of outputs from bands of the 60s, 70s and 80s that make it special for me. I always find something noteworthy whenever I go. If that's not enough, you can also have a tasty brew and a cake or a full meal. This is a small independent establishment that bucks the general trend of record shop closures. A brilliant partnership, Sid runs the music side of the business, with an interesting range of current and older CD's and some Vinyl LPs on offer in a relatively small space. Always well worth a browse, tends to be bang up to date with a fair selection of contemporary releases , and a folk, jazz and blues section, and lots of classic slightly obscure bands. Sid is very knowledgeable , and will happily play you anything you may be considering wanting to buy, while you sit supping one of the finest cups of coffee available in Hebden Bridge. His partner runs the cafe side of things, is always cheerful and obliging, cakes like chocolate fudge brownies are freshly made, and light lunches are available. It is a unique combination, the 2 businesses are mutually complementary , the husband and wife team work well together , both offering excellent service in their respective fields . A fantastic one off institution that helps make Hebden Bridge such a hip fun place to visit. Always a pleasure to drop in, a warm welcome and great coffee are guaranteed.

Best coffee in town. Friendly service. Small but full of music. You can browse CDs while you enjoy a coffee and even listen before you buy.

only small this place - i have a toddler and i feel iuncomfortable going in with the pram as tiny - only 2 or 3 tables. The meals (light bites, cake) are very delicious and the lady who owns it (i think) is lovely, very warm, friendly and accommodating - the perfect hostess. Then theres the decor - magnificent piece of plaster work and lots of music to browse. Perfect anoraks hangout (i mean that as a compliment!).Great selection of cakes.

I've reviewed quite a lot of cafe's and this one gets top marks across the board. Venue - 5*. Ambience 5* (cool '60's music...), coffee - 5*. Toasted cheese, (local) ham and red onion chutney - 5*. Price - 5*. Toilets (clean - what a delight!) - 5*.The actual seating area is very small with about 3 tables so I suspect based on the many excellent reveiews, it will be busy during weekends and spring/summer.So good to come away having had a thoroughly pleasant experience

Very good place for a light lunch or snack. We chose a toasted ham and cheese sandwich and some quiche, which both came with a side salad. They were both fresh and seriously tasty. The coffee was excellent and the hot chocolate was as rich and smooth as the menu suggests. The cakes looked good too, although we didn't indulge on this occasion. The service was genuine, friendly and attentive (without being in your face). The Love Cafe's high ranking is well deserved.

Visited for Sunday breakfast and the poached eggs on avocado sourdough was excellent. Eggs were poached to perfection (compliments to the chef). My hubby had the vegetarian breakfast which was also fab. Lovely friendly staff.

The best full breakfast I have eaten in years. I do not eat a full breakfast very often and my wife’s takes some beating but this “Big” version was a gem! All cooked to perfection and washed down with a very good, big and fresh Americana Coffee. The food menu (eat in or takeaway) is extensive as is the range of hot and cold drinks. Vegetarian and Vegan options are also available. To top it all, the prices are simply amazing in this day and age and it was recently awarded Best Café in Elland.
