Food is always delicious, great portions, really friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended place that doesn't break the bank each time you visit. Have had so many family events at this restaurant and a few sneaky fry ups too. Quality hasn't changed with lockdown restrictions; they go above and beyond

The is a beautiful local restaurant with gorgeous food. The decor in the restaurant is modern and trendy with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be visiting here again.

Lovely meal last night, steaks were delicious! Staff, service & food first class. Naomi and Tanya were amazing even though they were so busy. Kitchen staff turning out excellent food at a fast rate, well done Murphys!

Nuestra primera comida desde el cierre y fue un placer. No hay necesidad de preocuparse en Murphy Browns. Todo el personal usa viseras y hay mucho espacio entre las mesas, todas las regulaciones de Covid 19 están vigentes. El servicio y la comida también fueron excelentes, siempre es un gran lugar para traer a los niños.

¿MÍNIMO 5 cargo de tarjeta? ¿Sabes que hay una pandemia? ? Mi factura de comida para llevar, sándwich y patatas fritas, ascendía a 4. sesenta y cinco . Me dijeron que no podían aceptar mi tarjeta por menos de 5. Entiendo totalmente esta posición en tiempos normales, pero en este momento hubiera pensado que cualquier venta sería bienvenida. Soy un cliente relativamente habitual pero, en principio, no volveré.

All the staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Food was served promptly and it was delicious. Highly recommend!

The service was good and the staff were friendly,the menu was not what it said on the tin and should have been handled(1 item only)a little better,still i may give it another go.

I had the pâté followed by the burger with bacon and cheese. Nicole had the battered mushrooms, then chicken Alfredo as a main before we split a Terry's chocolate orange cheesecake for dessert after a recommendation from the tables next to ours. This was all part of their Early Bird menu.BYO too, which makes it hard to beat. The food was absolutely gorgeous too. The burger was so juicy and the bacon was perfectly crisp. Very highly recommended if you're ever nearby. We'll definitely be back.

We visited here on a Friday evening with family, taking advantage of the early bird menu.We booked in advance as its quite a small restaurant and is always full, we also took our own drinks which they happily chilled, corked and provided glasses at no extra cost. They do sell non-alcoholic drinks also though.The early bird menu had a good amount of choices - steak, burger, sticky orange chicken, scampi etc. and you can choose how many courses you want.I explained to the waitress that I am coeliac and asked what I could eat. It was no trouble at all, they had good knowledge of gluten free and cross-contamination etc. and I was able to choose a suitable meal and dessert. I could have had a starter but chose not to.All of the waiting staff were absolutely lovely, nothing was too much trouble, and the atmosphere was great - it felt like visiting family for a lovely, home-cooked meal.We both had steak and champ which was cooked perfectly. My partner had bbq chicken wings which, he said, were delicious. I had a fresh fruit and cream pavlova for dessert and it was absolutely lovely, soft and chewy inside.Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable meal and experience. Would definitely eat here again!

My original and honest review was deleted as seems the truth isn't allowed!Visited Murphy browns this morning for breakfast with two friends. Never had an experience like it and not in a good way. Was a long time to take order ...even longer wait for the sub standard food. Staff were rude and very unhelpful and done their best to avoid us trying to draw their attention to order more hot drinks.When the drinks were delivered eventually to our table, they were slammed down on the table almost roasting one of my friends.Will definitely be giving it a miss until they up their game in customer service!!Service with a smile? More like running around trying to avoid customer eye contact incase they ask for something. Can't see that catching on!

He estado aquí varias veces antes como local y estaba bien, así que reservé una mesa para 17. 30 y la chica en el teléfono fue muy agradable y servicial. Llegó a tiempo y se sentó junto a la puerta de entrada y luego se olvidó. Un grupo llegó justo frente a nosotros y se les tomaron sus pedidos y luego una pareja de ancianos llegó después de nosotros y rápidamente se les tomó su pedido mientras otros clientes llegaban y estaban de pie junto a nosotros y parecían tener prioridad. Un miembro del personal estaba preparando una mesa y le pregunté si alguien podía tomar nuestro pedido o al menos conseguirnos una bebida y su respuesta fue afirmativa cuando termine de limpiar esta mesa, esto fue alrededor de 15-20 minutos después de llegar, así que nos fuimos y fuimos a otro restaurante en el camino. Estoy seguro de que esto es solo un caso de falta de personal, pero no hubo disculpas ni reconocimiento, así que no estoy seguro de que me molestaría en volver.

Called in today for 1st time we hadn’t booked but the girls got us a table, it was busy. Our food was lovely and the service was good, it’s lovely and clean and the waitress was very attentive, we will coming back soon.

Always go to Murphy browns, food delicious and now they are experimenting with the vegetarian options which is brilliant. Though they have always been great at coming up with a vegetarian option even if it isn’t on the menu. Had the salted chilli jackfruit (vegan) last night and it was exceptional! Looking forward to trying out all the new ideas.

Great service , great food at reasonable prices, we have been now on several occasions to Murphy browns for Breakfast, lunch and Dinner all the meals have been really good and the service is of a very high standard, you can even purchase pieces of art as it displays work from local artists. It’s in a quiet location in the north of the city. They also provide a special menu for different parts of the day along with there main menu.The girls are great and look after you very well. Well done Murphy Browns and all your staff , always greeted with a smile.

Necesitábamos un lugar rápido para comer. El precio estaba bien. El servicio fue bueno. Comprado el martes por la noche especial de carne. La comida se sirve rápida y caliente. Los filetes salieron bien. La coca era plana y el pollo al curry era extra picante. Había sido un largo día de viaje y estaba cerca de nuestro alquiler, así que hizo el trabajo.

Sia carne che pesce buone. I dolci direi favolosi. Non serve bevande alcoliche quindi se volete berne fermatevi prima ad acquistarle. Vi verranno messe in conto 1,5 sterline per i bicchieri ed eventuale apertura.

Found this venue through trip adviser and would recommend. We had a very pleasant evening in nice surroundings. Four of us were dining and all meals were very tasty and plentiful. I thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips. The lamb shank and curry also went down well. Duck spring rolls for starter also worth a mention. Staff were friendly and thought it was well priced for what we had.

A good place for lunch if you are in the area. (Not a bad hike up to the castle.) Food was excellent and plentiful. They don't serve alcohol. Staff was friendly, service was quick, would definitely go back.

my husband and I have been looking for somewhere to take the kids for breakfast at the weekend for ages. we've tried all over belfast when we really should have stayed local. our breakfasts this morning were brilliant. we ordered 2 frys for my husband and I and the kids had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and toast. the clean plates said it all...and the service was first class. we particularly loved the potato bread!!! we will be back again!!

Pedimos seis comida para llevar el domingo pasado y la comida y el servicio fueron geniales. Buena comida tradicional sólida, con budines particularmente buenos. Pedimos cinco comidas del menú del almuerzo del domingo, donde se obtienen tres platos (asado y lasaña para los platos principales) y una lasaña vegetariana, que se debía ordenar el día anterior. Hay un descuento por comida para llevar, y eso lo hizo todo a un precio muy razonable. El personal fue muy servicial en términos de discutir las opciones por adelantado dado que estábamos teniendo un cumpleaños familiar y al principio no estábamos seguros de los números y qué tipo de comida. Habíamos organizado un tiempo particular para la recolección y la comida estaba lista, a la temperatura adecuada, y en recipientes que los mantenían bien.

Food was delicious and the service was excellent too! Always my first choice when we decide to go for lunch or dinner and I havent been disappointed once!

Called here on a whim for breakfast, food was fine and the sixties music was brilliant. Coffee is too expensive though.

This was our first time eating here. I had the chicken goujons with garlic cubes and my partner got the chicken burger with chilli chips. We both enjoyed it and will be back. Staff really good and attentive and price was really reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I called in for brunch yesterday which was delightful. The restaurant was very busy and there was a line at the door.. I can tell why! The service from Donna on top of the food was just spectacular will definitely be back.

Here with my family last weekend we go here often. Won't be back after this visit starter was cold and miserable. Mains were horrible the chips tasted like they had been cooked in old oil none of the 5 of us ate them . Told the waitress said she ah sorry that was it. The chefs seemed more interested in standing at the till talking than actually cooking decent food

El lugar tiene capacidad para unas 50 personas, así que sugiero reservar su mesa. Hacen un menú para madrugadores, si bebes traes el tuyo, ideal para cumpleaños o cualquier celebración. Comemos en Murphy's por lo menos cada otra semana si vives en el norte de Belfast. He estado en Murphy's para el almuerzo o la cena, debo probar el desayuno pronto. The food and service by Naomi and Donna was amazing. Best carbonara I've ever had,the addition of chicken is brilliant. The shared starter if breaded mushrooms, chicken wings, chicken goujons and waffles was sooooo good and you bring your own alcohol.

El servicio estuvo bien, pero no estaban a la altura de los dos tipos de pan donde se quemaban en partes y en otras partes los hongos parecían un grito de ayuda salchichas donde la comida de los socios era muy suave. no fue acusado por los alevines debido a esto

We hadn't eaten a meal here for a few years and I'd forgotten just how good it is. I had trouble deciding what to pick from the menu, it all sounded so nice! I ended up with chicken goujons (which had crispy batter and moist chicken) with salad and sweet potato fries (I asked if I could have these instead of the chips and it was no problem at all) it was beautifully presented with 2 dips which were really nice too and made me eat far more chips than I'd intended to! Other family members had scampi, pizza, beef burger, honey chilli chicken, curry and steak. All the meals were really tasty, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. We had deserts after.. Chocolate fudge cake ( love this), pavlova and dime bar explosion (I think) the staff are incredible and although there's a service charge for groups of 8 or over, the staff deserved it. Can't wait to go back and try some other dishes!

Was hubbys birthday so luv this place food was amazing staff r lovely an even played happy birthday an all sang as they brought out a cake for him .. he was pleasantly surprised as none of us had to move the staff brought it down , cheers

Best to book can sometimes be very busy staff always pleasant and helpfulLunch specials change regularly but the burritos this week bland and tasteless

I visited this restaurant whilst visiting my auntie in Belfast, we had our lunch here and the food was very good, I had fish and my auntie had Chicken, the food was good but not amazing. The staff however were excellent, my aunt has a strict diet due to diabetes and the staff could not be more helpful. The meal came to just over £16 for lunch which was very reasonable.

Another delicious meal in this lovely little local restaurant. The food is always good and the staff, friendly and helpful. Love eating here with friends or taking the kids and always a good experience, many thanks.

We took a family visit to Murphy Browns and I would like to say how great the service was. We really enjoyed our visit and definitely will be eating there again.

I dined with my husband and daughter and each of us were very pleased with the service & food. Would definitely return the next time we are passing through.

Decided at last minute to try here phoned to book and was lucky if we came right away we would get a table. The place was very busy but the service was quick and the staff very polite and attentive. The early bird menu is great value and the 8oz sirlions were surprisingly good and came with onions, mushrooms and chips. The chilli chicken with rice was also very tasty. Will be back as food is good and really good value.

I love goingto Murphy Browns restaurant because they cook my kind of food and their prices are reasonable.The portions are decent as well.Their lasagna is second to none and their Tuesday steak night is great value for money. You won't look for ore when you polish off this steak meal I love their choice of sauces too.

25 of us for Sunday dinner... excellent service, fabulous food, amazing value for money. I love this place, so welcoming, so friendly, and the food is just great.

I visit regularly especially during a busy work rotation, and don't want to cook. Breakfast is full and hearty and good value. No issues here.

Llevé a mi sobrino por una mañana de sábado en mayo. No es un lugar demasiado grande, pero la comida era adorable. Volveremos. Date tiempo para esperar su desayuno recién hecho. Vale la pena la espera. Un poco caro, ya que no parecía hacer un fry o bebidas para niños. Por lo demás, está bien.

Great fresh delicious food for starters and main course. their home made deserts make it better than anywhere else I’ve tried. Good range of starters - love the sharing platter. The mains are great, always fresh, especially the fish. All cooked by good chefs, really like their home made chicken curry. They do lovely pizzas too. Hard to find somewhere that ticks all the boxes like Murphy browns does.

Went for a quick bite to eat on a bank holiday Monday. Place was very busy so service was quite slow but food was good and we were happy with the overall experience.

Me and my fiancé had a table booked for Saturday 5th May at 1pm great service and food was delicious. We will definitely be back again.

Very good and nice food. The pizzas were bigger than expected but delicious none the less. We had brought our baby in but she was a bit nosey, and ran into the kitchen where they were making the food. They were very calm and casual about it which helped a lot and one of the staff even offered her a job! At the end we asked the staff to take a pic of us all and they were very nice. The good was really good. The staff were friendly and quick to take our order. It’s a nice atmosphere and great that you can bring your own alcohol. The downside to this was there was a very rough group next to our table and one person in particular kept banging into us and knocked our drink. This went on for a long time before a member of staff intervened.

Came here on Christmas Eve among a party of fourteen for the three course lunch, terrific!

Me and my hubby went for lunch mid week during christmas week. I had the cajun chicken wrap and he had fish and chips. My wrap was quire spicy and seemed more like bbq sauce than cajun. I spoke to one if the girls and it was immediately changed for me. The fish and chips were delicious! Excellent friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere.

Out for Christmas lunch with my team from work and the food was delicious as always. We also have our leaving do's here as well. With food this good why go anywhere else!

I booked a last minute table for 8 people which was no hassle at all. As soon as we arrived we were greated by friendly polite staff and mouth watering food which we didnt have to wait to long on. Went for late lunch after a medical appointment. Food was ok but not too expensive however when I got home I was very annoyed to find that the small change I received from a £10 note contained 3 old pound coins, no longer in circulation and not accepted anymore. My ok cheap lunch became a very expensive outing. I know I received the coins in this establishment because I had none in my purse and this was the only place I had spent cash and received change. One coin sneaking through maybe but all 3 in my change seems a bit suspicious. Diner beware.

Had an evening meal here recently in celebration of an in-laws birthday. I had no part in the organisation of the occasion and for this reason did not complain to staff at the risk of causing offence. The food was extremely poor. My starter of (four) breaded garlic mushrooms set the tone and were totally raw and uncooked beneath the crumb. My sirloin main was also grim. The steak (cooked med/rare) was practically inedible. If I hadn't forced the swallows I feel sure I would still be chewing it now. Chips tasted of cooking oil and the pepper sauce was insipid. I've had decent meals here in the past but after this experience I doubt I'll return.

Not much choice on the menu. I've been a few times and the food can be either great or greatly poor. Very small inside, almost feel like your sitting with strangers at your table it's that tight. Prices are very reasonable but I don't like going back to a restaurant where I'm not guaranteed a quality meal

Went for dinner at Murphy Brown and food was excellent, what did impress me was the staff as service was outstanding and there was an elderly woman there celebrating her 92nd birthday and off with the music and the staff played happy birthday and brought out a cake for her not only did they do this the staff also took time and took some family photos for them.......high five to the staff �

This is a must Try. Once you have tried it you will write the same Post. The food here is never below Great. It's also a great coffee stop. It's clean and the Staff are lovely.

Ive been here 4 times now, first time was 6.30 off the early bird menu which i loved, went a few days ago at the same time to be told to choose off a different menu, which i didnt like anything on it, so had to order things seperately. Very annoying.

Booked a table for dinner this Sunday. Went for the 3 courses for £13.oo , service was quick and attentive, place was very busy and great atmosphere. We had crispy wings and mushroom both with dips and side salad , then had the roast beef with all the trimmings and they had horseradish!! Pavlova and sticky toffee pudding for dessert .Good value and great service will be back !!

D'extérieur on pourrait croire que c'est un restaurant "chinois" mais pas du tout !Décoration raffinée, accueil chaleureux de la part de la serveuse qui vous place rapidement à une table.De jolis tableaux artistiques sont accrochés et disponible à la vente.Pour le petit-déjeuner, mon conjoint a pris un croisant au bacon et fromage + chocolat chaud et moi le Irish breakfast (2 saucisses/bacon fris/œuf au plat/champignon/tomate/haricots blancs) + chocolat chaud ! Après ça vous n'aurez plus faim et aurez du carburant pour attaquer les randonnées de CAVE HILL !!Allez y sans hésiter !

Always have a great meal here. Service always friendly and the restaurant has a cosy feel. I have tried most things off the menu and is always a firm family favourite for us.
