Murgano's Peri Peri Chicken in St Albans

I always enjoy this place. Excellent food, very fresh and tasty. Never had a bad experience. And the staff are nice too. Can’t ask for much more. Alsos very good value for money. Love it

Why doesnt murganos deliver anymore?.I always use them.food is always nice.its a shame dont delivery anymore,I would like to know why.

I usually order from Murganos multiple times per week along with other colleagues at work. However we will not be making this mistake again. I am appalled by the awful service I received after items from my order were missing. I called the restaurant to notify them of the missing items and the gentleman very rudely cut me from speaking and said he had personally had packed the bag so it cant be missing. He was not willing to even let me finish my sentence. He then went on to say it was not his problem and contact the delivery company. I cannot believe this is the attitude to a regular customer. I will never order from this place again purely because the lack of respect. This man should should not work with people as clearly he lacks manners and any kind of social skills. I hope management of this business see this review and reconsider who they employ.

Omg can not express how delicious our take away was, we had extremely hot chicken wraps with thick bits of good quality chicken fresh salad and amazing peri peri sauce. We ordered a side of rice, chips and 5 hot wings. Everything was cooked to perfection, and hot on arrival and we live 15 minutes away from the restaurant can not recommend this enough 11/10 chips were crispy and fresh, the rice tasted like it was home made.

Some of the food is quite nice like the fried chicken and rice but it is let down by the cleanliness. The sauce bottles were sticky and covered in finger prints and the toilets were not very hygienic. The service is ok. The decor is a bit tacky and cheap looking.

For the price it’s on of the best meals I’ve ever had. Smacks Nando’s very hard. I’m talking 10 second knock out. Deserves more customers. Who cares about hygiene that’s irrelevant lol

Food went straight through me. The first time, I put it down to bad luck, maybe eating too fast. Went there a second time. Same thing: On the toilet 1hr later. Nasty. Will never eat there again. Shame. Tasty food and good service. First time: grilled chicken + chips. Second time: chicken burger + chips.

The best peri peri chicken I’ve ever had - beats Nando’s hands down. Delicious - consistent quality. They get the spice levels right and full of flavor. This is my go-to when I want something tasty.

This used to be my favorite take away. Have can going here since 2003 when it was called some other top off nandos name. I continued to go even though it was in the news for being investigated by Food Standards Agency. It improves slightly a few years ago. But more recently they get the orders wrong. Portions are smaller and today I tasted something crunchy that was not chicken Went back to the shop to complain about the gritty chicken and they said I could reorder and pay again. I laughed and walked away. They have lost my custom forever.

came here after so many people recommended me too, would not come again, chiken was not nice, not enough flavour, rice was bland, nothing special, I have had better peri peri else where, can be a hit if improved more on flavour.

Forget the bad press, this place is top notch and half the price of nandos. Probably been here over 100 times.

If you enjoy Piri Piri Chicken, then you need to give this place a try. The service is very friendly. The chicken is very meaty. The mixed platter is amazing value. It is enough to feed 3 people. I based our order on Nando's sizes and it turned out to be too much. They have a range of sauces to go with your chicken and they were all very nice. We will definitely be back.

Best chicken place I’ve been to hands down. Gives Nando’s a run for its money at half the price. Quick turnaround for the food and lovely chaps.

Delicious peri peri burger and their rice is awesome it was a take away but would defo I would come back to sit in and eat perfect

Basically this place has got great chicken QUICK I had my usual a double chicken breast fillet burger cooked to perfection hot flavour with spicy rice to accompany (but chips are ok if you want a carb fix) 12mins from order to plate and it was really busy Also the best thing about Murganos is the fried chicken (I must say I usually don’t eat fried food) but this is exceptional they are humongous slabs of chicken, And always a mountainside of pieces to choose from, they are great and always let me choose which few I’ll have as an accompaniment Major fast food that’s tasty and not overpriced 😁👍😄

If you want a no frills, big hitting tasty chicken dinner, this is the place to go. I’ve been eating here for a few years on a fairly regular basis and I have not once had a bad meal. The portions are huge, the price is good and the flavours amazing.

Use this place quite often when working and even make special trips cross-county to do so.
