I traveled from Germany to london and went mumbai square for dinner. It was a good experience.

Very large place with many tables available. In the Spitalfields neighbourhood. We visited the place for dinner. The staff are super helpful, kind and friendly. The food was excellent and the value for money was excellent. The dinner was accompanied with some very pleasant and catchy Indian music. We didn't book as we arrived almost as soon as the place opened, but on weekends I recommend booking. Congratulations to all the staff. We will for sure be back on our next trip to London.

It was a steamed Indian restaurant, and the samosas, butter chicken, and briyani were all delicious. The chai tea was also very delicious.

Hey there, My husband and I are currentky on holiday in your beautiful country, UK. We chose to go to Mumbai Square, Middlesex Square, as I wanted to tadte some authentic Indian food. We were shocked at how divine the food tasted at this awwwsum restaurant. Our waiter, Ashraf asked us what we like to eat, and drink, and advised us accordingly. Upon hearing that we like beer, he brought us this lekker Cobra Indian beer. We were kindly assisted further by Sahin, Mr Roy, Miraz, Sahin and Ershan. From our starters to mains, to desserts, to drinks, we enjoyed it thoroughly! My husband is not a fan of lamb (being Dutch), but he enjoyed it here! If you want proper Authentic, tasty Indian food, drink, and hospitality, don't hesitate, go visit this lovely restaurant! They're waiting to please you! The new year party was the worst I have ever been to. No food, bad inflated drinks and worse possible DJ. They switched up to bad DJ after they didn't get much sign ups. Even the coat hangers prices were inflated. The owner should think of managing the things he knows how to or capable of.

Worst ever experience we ever had, we went in a group of 8 and never thought we will be having this worst experience in the restaurant. They can't even serve tap water in the cleanest jug.

Such a bad experience for the Bollywood night . It’s a restaurant so make it restaurant don’t make people foolish for the party. We spend a lot for the tickets and DJ was pathetic. They don’t know how to play songs even. Management is so bad they force to remove your jacket if you don’t want to remove for some personal reason. We will not recommend this place for any party.

I had my wedding reception dinner at Mumbai Square and everything was perfect, from the food to the quality of service, the staff and owners at mumbai square honestly went above and beyond for my event and all my guests were very happy with the food! All our wishes and requests were so kindly catered too and we felt so pleased and grateful to be able to have our dinner here for our special day. Any miscommunications that were had were so swiftly dealt with and I was extremely happy with the way the day turned out! We have already returned back to the restaurant for a meal and would definitely recommend hosting any event here! Cannot thank Mumbai Square team enough!!

Auch wenn eine Hochzeit schon für eine gute Auslastung gesorgt hat, so wurden wir dennoch hervorragend betreut. Naan war super, Papadams herausragend gut. Alle Curries waren sehr gut! Nicht zu scharf, aber sehr würzig. Sehr empfehlenswert!

So I went for my 8th year anniversary and the place was very peaceful...we had a great service from Ash and Ahmed who literally made the environment friendly and the food was amazing ....I recommend the chocolate cheesecake which is mouth watering it was really amazing recommend

The staff welcomed us and engaged in pleasant conversation as we ordered. We never had to wait long for the dishes. The leftovers were packed for us on request.

We decided to have our Xmas party in this venue and it had to be the best decision we made. From start to finish, everything was done as discussed with the management team. A big shout out to Dildaar bai who went above and beyond to meet out needs and requests. Without his help, this wouldn't have been possible. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. We had the upstairs area all to ourselves. It was very spacious and private which was perfect for us. Thanks guys, we'll be back!!

Very good Indian restaurant! We tasted the butter chicken and the Korma, with Garlic Naan, Pilau rice and Mango Lassi. Everything was excellent, the quantities are perfect. Special mention for the service and staff! We had a great time, thank you! For information, it is even possible to do karaoke upstairs.

The service and atmosphere were brilliant. The food, I gotta say, I have had better and at lower prices, but overall, we had a very good time and was well looked after by the host. Beer, spirits, and wine are available.

Great Indian restaurant in a popular location a short walk away from the city. Friendly and professional staff welcomed us in to a lively atmosphere in airy and atmospheric dining room. The mixed grill was generous and tasty, would recommend.

This has to be the worst restaurant I’ve been to in along time. Organised a Xmas lunch at this place. The restaurant was empty, the food was severely overpriced and the staff had no clue on how deal with a table of 14 people. We were short of food, atmosphere. The portions were tiny. Absolutely ridiculous for the money they charged. I was better off going 5 mins down the road to a well known Pakistani restaurant then this Bangladeshi run place where the staff were dull, rude and out of touch.

Nothing about this place is close to the indian authentic dishes served in Mumbai or in India. It's disappointing to see restaurants like them hidding behind the name of authentic Indian culinary. Although the menu looks Indian, some of these dishes are from the sub-indian continent and the look and taste is far fetched. Gave them overall 2 stars because staff is friendly.

Popped in by chance as passing and the food was absolutely delicious! Clean and fresh and very tasty. The onion bahjees are a little on the small side but again taste wonderful. Rice was fluffy and well cooked. Cobra on tap too! We all ate chicken for main dishes and they were all equally lovely, Will definitely be back.

We recently visited Mumbai Square as a group of five, all the way from Finland, to celebrate our friend’s birthday, and we couldn't have chosen a better place! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the customer service was exceptional. The staff made sure we felt welcome and well taken care of throughout the evening. The food was absolutely amazing, with every dish bursting with authentic flavors. Each bite made us feel like we were experiencing the very best of Indian cuisine. It was truly a feast worth savoring! Mumbai Square turned out to be the perfect spot for our celebration. Thank you so much for making this day extra special for us. Best lamb biryani I’ve ever had!!

I went with my friends(total 12) highly priced for the quality and quantity. Food wasn’t great in taste - didn’t feel it was fresh. Biryani was good! Portion size was small for the price. Service was super slow as I could only see 2 people managing the restaurant. Food took 45 mins to arrive and naan bread had a long hair strand. When asked the waiter replied ‘this is not a human hair, rather it is from the butter brush that has stuck to the bread.’ I’m sorry but am I suppose to eat/ignore that?! Overall experience was not nice and felt unhygienic. Glasses were dirty- could easily spot lipstick marks and finger marks to which waiter responded ‘ahh this can happen sometimes you know! Again, if I’m paying high value I expect quality and standards which I don’t think is followed here.

Enjoyed a Wednesday lunchtime meal with friends at a round table for 4 in a spacious setting. Quality tablecloth, napkins, cutlery, plates and glassware all contributed to a positive experience. Welcoming and attentive service. We ordered from the special lunch offer (NB advance booking required) which is excellent value. Starters were served with a side salad and relish. My chicken dupiaza main dish was substantial and the chicken was the best quality I have found in any restaurant. Recommended.

We visited in September. From our arrival at the restaurant, our waiter seemed convinced that we were going to do a runner! The ages of our party were 62, 61 and 54, and to be frank I couldn't run anywhere. His clouded vision of us made him make mistakes with our order, and the food was nowhere near as good as usual. Such a shame as we had an American resident with us who was really looking forward to having a decent curry!

Booked reservation through online. Last min found out that , fully booked for party . They said people need to book over the phone. Online reservation is waste. Very Disappointed.

Ate here for dinner with my colleagues. The staff was super helpful and the food was delicious! They have many options from mild to super spicy and vegetarian, meat, and fish options. As someone who is gluten free it was heaven! Will eat there again.

Today i visited restaurant for a date!! Invested 100 pounds but not satisfied dont visit this place Resons- We waited for a starters for long time!! Restaurent was so quit for sometime! We didnt frinisted out date yet ! !waiters came to times to removed our unfinised food and the songs they were playing old hindi songs as baground music which is disgusting i asked him to play trending or new songs but they didnt!!!

Centrally-located Indian restaurant with non-vegetarian and vegetarian options with a British Indian emphasis. Has cobra lager on tap and a wide wine/spirits selection. Staff are very friendly and chatty, who are more than happy to make recommendations to suit all palates and spice levels. Not the cheapest price point, but on par with nearby Brick Lane. Decor is a little old school (think of an Indian restaurant from the 1990s, with white tablecloths) and the restrooms could do with a little love. The ambience is calm and there’s some soft background music, so it’s a nice environment to have a proper conversation with friends. I think this place has real potential if management were to implement these suggestions.

Was a buzzing atmosphere, a busy evening, classic Bollywood tunes playing in the background and I must say the food was not drenched in curry paste, the flavours were so authentic. Thank you MS for a pleasant evening.

Terrible service and awful food! We had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. Despite it being almost empty when we arrived , the waiter who took our order was incredibly impolite , least bothered to provide any recommendations when asked for and seemed to be in a rush , even though there was no reason to hurry. What was worse, it felt like he was paying more attention to certain tables based on the ethnicity of the people sitting there, which was shocking and unacceptable. As for the food, it was just as bad as the service. We ordered a few starters, including the samosa chaat, which was soggy and unappetizing, and the lamb seekh kebabs, which were completely bland. We couldn’t even eat them and had to cancel the rest of our order because it was clear the kitchen wasn’t interested in serving decent food. To make matters even more appalling , after we paid the bill, we took about 5-10 minutes to change our baby’s nappy in the restroom, and we were asked to vacate the table quickly, even though there were no other guests waiting or reservations for the table. It was unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. Overall, a terrible experience from start to finish. Definitely won’t be coming back and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. PS - We chose this place based on the good reviews seen on google and its proximity in central london when you are out and about on weekends, but after our experience, we genuinely wonder how this restaurant has so many positive reviews—are the standards really that low?

By Indian standards, the food is an absolute waste of time and money. Even the service is pathetic. Every dish we ordered was horrible. The naan bread stank. When informed it was replaced with a fresh one but only after an argument. The waiters are not fit enough to be in the hospitality industry. There are many other good Indian restaurants close by just across the road if you feel stranded and want to try some good Indian food.

The food was absolutely below par. The naan bread was stale. When called out we were told that they had been serving the same bread all day and dismissed it. Only after an argument, the bread was replaced which thankfully came out ok. The service is lackluster. There were only two waiters available and we had to call them three times to take our order. Even the lady waiter told us I have already asked you for water, even though we were never. Disappointing and won't be returning.

Even though we went in early on a Monday, we really enjoyed the service and the food was fabulous. The biryani was better than biryanifrom hyderabad. And the presentation of the kulfi was amazing.

After visiting Horizon 22 viewing, stopped there for dinner as it was just near the area. Good food and extremely friendly staff members. Also, the strawberry cheesecake was amazing. Highly recommended.

A hidden gem. The food here is brilliant. Everything is tasty and really good portions. Very good customer service. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking is available after 5.30pm. Otherwise pay and display bays are available. They do a great lunch time menu.

Extremely horrible service and absolutely no concern about customers waiting

My friends and I visited yesterday, and we left with mixed feelings. The location is great, but the experience didn’t live up to it. The decor felt tired and in need of TLC. Some dishes were overly flashy with food coloring, while others looked too plain with a sad iceberg leaf on the side. The flavors were good, but the price was steep for what was essentially basic Indian food. The service was where things really went wrong. Our young waiter kept pulling up his trousers, which were constantly falling down under his bottom. At one point, he brought the wine bottle we ordered on to the table and didn’t even serve it. While we were still eating our starters, we were asked if we were ready for our mains. On top of that, waiters cleared our table so abruptly they splashed food around. The atmosphere didn’t help either. The music was so loud, we had to lip-read just to talk to each other across the table. The toilets were another disappointment. They were dirty, with toilet paper scattered across the floor, and none in the dispensers. Overall, this isn’t what you’d expect from a restaurant in such a prime location. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

Very disappointed. I’ve been using the restaurant for a couple of years and on the whole the food is nice. Tonight I was welcomed back and treated like a valued customer, it was lovely and really appreciated. However my food contained a hard large fruit stone that was impossible to see in the rice and sauce. I cracked a tooth on it. When I politely mentioned this to the Manager he said if I kept complaining it would come out of his wages. He said I was being rude and all he could do was apologise. Eventually he reduced the bill from £34 to £25. I found his attitude intimidating and I certainly won’t be going back. I did ask the person sitting next to me if they thought I had been and they said certainly not. It made all the initial friendliness seem very fake and I found the experience very uncomfortable.

Very disappointing experience tonight. As a long standing customer who has always enjoyed the food I felt bullied and intimated this evening for pointing out that I had cracked a tooth on the food. I was told I was being rude and that if I complained the waiter would have to pay for my meal. I asked the person next to me if I had been rude and they said certainly not. I have generally enjoyed the food here but after tonight’s dreadful treatment I won’t be back. Go and enjoy the food which is okay but just hope you don’t experience a problem because your experience will turn sour if you raise a concern. Beware the customer service.

After all the excellent reviews, we were excited to go and have an amazing meal. First red flag should have been that the restaurant was empty (at 8.30pm on a Saturday)There was a large group of about 40 people. Another two couples and us. Now this restaurant is huge. The second red flag was after ordering our meal which included vegetable biryani, as I spooned it onto my plate I found pieces of chicken in my dish. We informed them and they apologised and brought us our dish. Still apologising for the mistake made. The manager came over and apologised again and offered us a drink (which we declined) and they reduced the bill. We had vegetable biryani, onion bhaji, chickpea curry and tandoori roti. The best thing was the Tandoori roti. Curry sauce was tasteless, the onion bhaji's were the worst I've ever tasted. Chickpea curry was bland. I was hungry when I arrived and left there hungry. So disappointed! Will definitely not recommend and will definitely not be back!

We came here to celebrate a birthday, the servers were attentive and lovely! The food was delicious, we got the chicken korma and our server recommend another dish which was 10/10 (I believe it was the lamb tikka korai). Lamb chops, onion Bhaji, peshwari naan are all great. The only problem is that they state that they only provide cocktails for special occasions, but they didn’t specify which meant we weren’t able to get cocktails to celebrate our special occasion, sadly. Other than that, the service was great, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed and intimate. They really took care of us. Would recommend!

The restaurant closes late which is a plus for night owls like me. The butter chicken and Rogan Josh were great and ideal for non spicy food lovers who like Indian food.

Just had a fabulous dinner at Mumbai Square. We happened to come in during a wedding celebration but there was room and they accommodated us. Mo gave us the excellent suggestion of chicken cobra naga, spicy like vindaloo but I must say tastier! The garlic naan was perfectly done. Really an awesome meal and the management and staff couldn’t have been more gracious. We do like our raita and dal a bit more seasoned but they were good too. Will definitely come back when in the area again.

Everything was just perfect. The food was amidst the most delicious food I have had in a long time, the service was attentive as well as being funny/friendly, and the interior was beautiful like a palace. What is more, this is a rare *genuinely Indian* restaurant rather than a fake little takeaway place using our noble name to get by!! Can’t wait to be back 😀

Food was absolutely incredible! The gentleman who I’m assuming was the manager/owner was extremely attentive and made it a great experience. I ordered the tandoori king prawn with a side of fried rice, and he was kind enough to give me a small order of madras on the side to dip in - it was so good that I had to order some naan to go along with it! Which mind you, was some of the best naan I’ve ever had. Would absolutely recommend!
