By Indian standards, the food is an absolute waste of time and money. Even the service is pathetic. Every dish we ordered was horrible. The naan bread stank. When informed it was replaced with a fresh one but only after an argument. The waiters are not fit enough to be in the hospitality industry. There are many other good Indian restaurants close by just across the road if you feel stranded and want to try some good Indian food.

Great place to dine with friends, date and family. Classy place. Chicken Tikka was delicious 😋

The food was absolutely below par. The naan bread was stale. When called out we were told that they had been serving the same bread all day and dismissed it. Only after an argument, the bread was replaced which thankfully came out ok. The service is lackluster. There were only two waiters available and we had to call them three times to take our order. Even the lady waiter told us I have already asked you for water, even though we were never. Disappointing and won't be returning.

Amazing food, first curry in the city in a couple of years and glad we picked here. Mo was great, making sure all was good. Definitely coming back

Even though we went in early on a Monday, we really enjoyed the service and the food was fabulous. The biryani was better than biryanifrom hyderabad. And the presentation of the kulfi was amazing.

After visiting Horizon 22 viewing, stopped there for dinner as it was just near the area. Good food and extremely friendly staff members. Also, the strawberry cheesecake was amazing. Highly recommended.

A hidden gem. The food here is brilliant. Everything is tasty and really good portions. Very good customer service. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking is available after 5.30pm. Otherwise pay and display bays are available. They do a great lunch time menu.

Extremely horrible service and absolutely no concern about customers waiting

Came in on the off chance, wasn’t sure what to eat had an amazing recommendation from Ashraf. The chicken Korai was lovely definitely recommend. Staff were great, place is lovely such a good atmosphere

My friends and I visited yesterday, and we left with mixed feelings. The location is great, but the experience didn’t live up to it. The decor felt tired and in need of TLC. Some dishes were overly flashy with food coloring, while others looked too plain with a sad iceberg leaf on the side. The flavors were good, but the price was steep for what was essentially basic Indian food. The service was where things really went wrong. Our young waiter kept pulling up his trousers, which were constantly falling down under his bottom. At one point, he brought the wine bottle we ordered on to the table and didn’t even serve it. While we were still eating our starters, we were asked if we were ready for our mains. On top of that, waiters cleared our table so abruptly they splashed food around. The atmosphere didn’t help either. The music was so loud, we had to lip-read just to talk to each other across the table. The toilets were another disappointment. They were dirty, with toilet paper scattered across the floor, and none in the dispensers. Overall, this isn’t what you’d expect from a restaurant in such a prime location. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

The place was stuffy with poor ventilation. The service was poor having to wait 45mina to get water. The food was even worse - cold, bland and no flavors at all. Wouldn't recommend at all

Very disappointing experience tonight. As a long standing customer who has always enjoyed the food I felt bullied and intimated this evening for pointing out that I had cracked a tooth on the food. I was told I was being rude and that if I complained the waiter would have to pay for my meal. I asked the person next to me if I had been rude and they said certainly not. I have generally enjoyed the food here but after tonight’s dreadful treatment I won’t be back. Go and enjoy the food which is okay but just hope you don’t experience a problem because your experience will turn sour if you raise a concern. Beware the customer service.

We came here to celebrate a birthday, the servers were attentive and lovely! The food was delicious, we got the chicken korma and our server recommend another dish which was 10/10 (I believe it was the lamb tikka korai). Lamb chops, onion Bhaji, peshwari naan are all great. The only problem is that they state that they only provide cocktails for special occasions, but they didn’t specify which meant we weren’t able to get cocktails to celebrate our special occasion, sadly. Other than that, the service was great, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed and intimate. They really took care of us. Would recommend!

The restaurant closes late which is a plus for night owls like me. The butter chicken and Rogan Josh were great and ideal for non spicy food lovers who like Indian food.

Just had a fabulous dinner at Mumbai Square. We happened to come in during a wedding celebration but there was room and they accommodated us. Mo gave us the excellent suggestion of chicken cobra naga, spicy like vindaloo but I must say tastier! The garlic naan was perfectly done. Really an awesome meal and the management and staff couldn’t have been more gracious. We do like our raita and dal a bit more seasoned but they were good too. Will definitely come back when in the area again.

Worst dining experience. First of all they made us wait for almost 45 min, no one came to take our order. N then food served was so bad in taste. In place of paneer it was tofu. Bad service.

Everything was just perfect. The food was amidst the most delicious food I have had in a long time, the service was attentive as well as being funny/friendly, and the interior was beautiful like a palace. What is more, this is a rare *genuinely Indian* restaurant rather than a fake little takeaway place using our noble name to get by!! Can’t wait to be back 😀

Food was absolutely incredible! The gentleman who I’m assuming was the manager/owner was extremely attentive and made it a great experience. I ordered the tandoori king prawn with a side of fried rice, and he was kind enough to give me a small order of madras on the side to dip in - it was so good that I had to order some naan to go along with it! Which mind you, was some of the best naan I’ve ever had. Would absolutely recommend!

Had a really good dinner here last Friday. The service was spot on and we were made feel very welcome. The food was excellent. We had a garlic chilli chicken, chicken dhansak plain rice and and keema naan. Overall very pleases and we would eat there again.

Staff was very inattentive, very unhygienic as one staff member was picking nose, running hands through hair and scratching his bum before serving food to us. Didn't wash hands and served food , drinks and plates in that time. Never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant setting.also staff vaping inside!!

Great place. We brought our soccer team from La. About 35 people counting our 16-year-old girls and parents. We ordered family style. Talked to the manager Ash and he took care of us. Great place and great food.

This is a lovely restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed having dinner there the last night of our holiday in London. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The staff are all very friendly and there’s a great atmosphere. I use a mobility scooter and this restaurant is fully accessible and it was very easy to navigate my way around. I felt extremely comfortable there. We will visit again next time we’re in London

Lovely looking restaurant and food was nice but not the best Indian I've ever had. The pilau rice was very much like microwave rice - white long grain rice unlike any other pilau rice I've ever had. The korma curry was tasty but small portion for the price. Automatic service charge added. Service was OK. Worse thing were the toilets. Visited on the way out. Had I visited on the way in I wouldn't have eaten there. Toilets were filthy. No toilet roll and sticky floors. I won't be back.

Went with friends on a Friday evening to Aldgate. Not hugely busy, but this is to be expected in the City on a Friday evening. Very attentive service. Excellent food and plenty of it. We had a wide selection and it was very well presented. Waiting staff were all very good and professional. Drinks were a fair price. We had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxed time in an unhurried environment. I would highly recommend.

Great restaurant! Food is very good, some unusual items (in my strictly US- Indian restaurant experience) and a pleasant staff that is ready to handle any challenge! We booked from overseas and hosted a small (11 person) wedding dinner here on a Saturday evening in early summer. It was amazingly easy to book (unlike other restaurants, with all sorts of requirements, and two pages of ‘terms and conditions’ to be agreed to, just for booking a larger dinner group!) None of that at Mumbai Square! Ash assured me by email that it was all no problem, and he was right. He gave us good advice on food for the group and was able to accommodate a diverse group of ages, including some very young children. We went back a week later, just the two of us for dinner, and Ash and co. recalled us and were really excellent again. If you want a good BIR meal with excellent service and no-nonsense booking, this is your place! We will be there again, for sure.

Mediocre at best butter chicken was significantly underwhelming and lamb tika masala was chewy and cold unfortunately the rice was was the best part total tourist trap

We visited this restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The ambiance was pleasant, the service was top-notch, and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying their biryani chicken, chilli paneer and butter chicken along with best mango lassi in train. Ash who works there was really good at hospital and recommended good dishes on top other server Munna was so sweet and a delightful smile. It’s my birthday and we enjoyed the experience. Thank you 🤍

Amazing food! We had the lamb chops ( so tender !!!) and tandoori paneer...beautifully soft! Then the chicken karai...and veg biryani..WOW!!! I have eaten in many restaurants..the layers in the biryani and the flavours and the veg was just tasty and stunning! The karai was home made( like i would make it north Indian style) so fresh..the chicken melted in my mouth..seriously I have been to restaurants and dine 4x a week..in Indian restaurants..but this place KYA BHATH HAI!!! which means just stunning...so coming here once a month..and Ash!! Ian sooo amazing...! Loved it..hereafter we went or watch the euros and cricket in farringdon..forger brick lane !!!!!! This is a must try ! Tell them how you want it..and BOOOOOOOOM!! thank you mumbai Square..!!!!

Dinner with kids at the restaurant, late in the evening. Few customers in the room, average establishment. We were seated and a young and lanky waiter took our orders. Without exaggeration, this waiter was the most cold-stricken person I have ever seen. I’m not talking about allergies, but a cold. Clearly struggling to breathe, he was constantly blowing his nose, and he would have probably been more comfortable resting rather than serving our table. We certainly would have been more comfortable if he were. We placed our order, and the waiter moved behind a bar to dry glasses taken from the dishwasher, the same glasses we were drinking from. Now I want to focus on his method of drying the glasses: cloth in one hand, glass in the other. For each glass, he took a corner of the cloth IN HIS MOUTH between his teeth, pulled it, and used that corner to clean the bottom of the glass. Every. Single. Glass. We were nothing short of shocked, and setting aside the food which was too spicy for the kids (we even asked: is it too spicy? Answer: No), we sought to escape as soon as possible without drinking anything, which is not easy with super spicy Indian food, especially for the kids. You don’t need to be a microbiologist to understand that this behavior goes against the most basic hygiene rules. We have dined in all sorts of restaurants in London and overall, we have always found them to be quite good. If you happen to pass by this one, do yourself a favor and keep walking.

good ambience and customer service overall

We were looking for a spot of dinner and decided to try this place. Sometimes the gods of restaurants smile on you and this time it was us. We were greeted warmly at the door given a choice of seating and or drinks were soon with us. Seeing the large selection of not the normal offerings on the menu we asked for advice from Ash the front of house. This turned out to be the most interesting varied India meal we have ever had the flavour and vibrancy of the food was a delight. The fish tasty, the chicken moist the sauces perfectly complementary. If ever you are in the area and hungry I don't think anyone would able to resist the wonderful selection and cooking. Also thank you to Ask the menu magician for being able to find the perfect dish for you!

Excellent attentive service by Mo to match the delicious food served. I can recommend the onion bahjis which were nice and light and the dupiaza flavour had a great medium heat to it. I will definitely be returning here!

One of the best Indians I've had in a long time

I took my family to this restaurant last week after we visited the Tower of London. It was a bit of a walk from there, but close enough that I bookmarked it as an option. It wasn't very crowded inside, so we got a lot of attention from our waiter who was very friendly and engaged us in some conversation about the area and the restaurant. Each time he came to our table he had something interesting to say and we genuinely enjoyed the chatter. The food was very good and we devoured everything we ordered. I personally had a lamb curry, which was wonderful. Five star experience!

Quantity is very very less.Not value for money. They make you wait for about 20 min to server even starters. They are short staffed. Service is worst..

We went this place for food after reading all the reviews , but I am quite surprised that people can say that they serve Indian authentic taste. I ordered paneer chilli in the starter and it was not even sufficient for two people, and the samosa chat was filled with namkeen only there was hardly any samosa I saw in it . Then comes to main course paneer Naga, the waiter recommended us this as we wanted something spicy and guess wht ..even after telling to do it spicy ..it was sweet. I must say that 2 naan was sufficient for two people. At last they charged service fee for pathetic service as it took 3 hours to have this much of food ..there are only 4 dishes that we ordered and they made us to wait longer for food as there were booking people and they said that we serve bookings first and after them we serve to people who just come in. I will recommend you to go only when you got enough time to wait for food and pray that no booking comes during your dine in.,🙂🙂
