The staff is welcoming and helps you efficiently and the atmosphere is cozy and familiar. The food is spectacular, I definitely recommend this place

We wanted to eat something diffrent tonight and therefor we were looking for a good Indien Restaurant in our area and we found the Fire & Spice Restaurant at the Hilton DoubleTree. We are very happy that we choose this Restaurant, the staff are very friendly and helpful and we had a very good time here and the Food is also very good, we had diffrent dishes and a Mango lasse and the Chocolate Tarte at the end and we were full and very satiffied. We can defenately recommand the Restaurant and we would come back and have good Indien Food. So now enjoy and we hope you have also the same experimente as we had.

This was our first time here. We started our evening with cocktails at the bar. We then went for dinner. Our host was excellent! He recommended a couple of appetizers. They were excellent! Our main course consisted of Chicken Bhuna, Spinach Paneer, Pilau Rice, Butter Naan, and Yellow Dahl. Everything was extraordinary! We decided to order the Black Dahl to take away with us. Amazing as well. I highly recommend if you want delicious authentic Indian Uisine.

Too tired to walk any further, we went to Fire and Spice for dinner. The food was lovely, the service good but the atmosphere was a little lacking. Perhaps because it was so early and there was only us and one other family in.

Very good Indian restaurant! Please note it is located in the basement if you cannot find it. Typical Indian cuisine, delicious dish Don’t hesitate to ask the waiter which dishes are more or less spicy depending on your tastes. Too bad there are no starter, main course and dessert menus

We made a somewhat last minute reservation at fire & spice on OpenTable only to get there and be told that the restaurant was closed for a private event. We were not happy at all however, we were told that we go upstairs to the hotel bar where we could be served. Tired from a long day of sight seeing, and very hungry we obliged. Overall, it was hands-down one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had due to the other guests present who were rude, disrespectful, and chaotic throughout. Don’t get me wrong, the food was great. But The highlight of our night was our waiter, Dhruv. Despite the rest of the patrons being extremely obnoxious and treating him poorly, he remained composed and professional throughout. He was friendly, personable, and extremely attentive to us while simultaneously handling the other guests in a professional manner. All of his recommendations from the menu were phenomenal. Thank you Dhruv, for saving the night!

The different Naan werefantastic, the vegetable samoza one of the best we ever had. The chicken tikka masala as the lamb very taste. The lady that serve us, Nativity ( or close) , very pleasant an helpful. Plus the price for London, incredible cheap, $ 60.

Fantastic food! I agree with the other reviews, I would have missed it had I not seen the reviews about it being downstairs and located outside the hotel. I had to wait a few minutes for the door to be answered but once inside the food and service did not disappoint. I would come back again. The butter chicken was fantastic

We had a family dinner there. Food was perfectly spiced and very delicious. Highly recommended just off Oxford Street at the heart of central London.

Came here twice. Great food and experience. Dhruv was our server and he was especially attentive. He ensurd that we understood how to order and that the food was tasting to our expectations. We had both allergies and tastes accommodations to consider (we don't like overly spicy food). The kitchen was able to custom make a milder versions of the dishes and they food was amazing. We had the butter kitchen, the veg samosa, lamb rogan nosh, garlic, and butter naan. It's a little harder to find, it's in the basement of the DoubleTree hotel there. There is an external entrance (go down the stairs)

Actually booked for Indian Afternoon Tea @£25 pp; we were so looking forward to trying. However, due to some miscommunication, no preps were made. We were offered an English Afternoon Tea at very short notice in a lovely private room. Service was excellent by 2 gentlemen throughout our family meet-up.

Limited menu since COVID but it was excellent food. I would come back. Staff are all extremely friendly as well. They recommended good not listed in the menu which was very good

Good food and excellent service but know you will be dining in the brightly-lit basement breakfast room of a Doubletree Hotel, with your main dishes served in Corell cereal bowls. Most diners are business travelers on their own. Not a good place for a special occasion dinner but ideal for good food at a reasonable (London) price. Curries were too mild for our palates but we were told we could have asked for spicier. It was clearly a concern of the staff that it had been TOO spicy, oddly.

We had dinner here and ordered from menu - not buffet - vegetable biriyani, vegetable korma and dal makhani plus garlic naan. The veggie dishes had more veggies than most and very tasty, as was other food. Naan was delicious bec made with fresh garlic, not garlic paste. Service was 5 star with Shubham and Dhruv. One of best Indian meals and we eat Indian a lot.

Very friendly people, food was very good. I would recommend it. It was a buffet with limited choices, but they told us they change the offer regularly. All and all, very nice.

Very disappointing. After spending Easter weekend in London and worn out we wanted somewhere local for our evening meal on our last night. TripAdvisor reviews looked good so we rang DoubleTree and attempted to book a table for 1800. The girl that answered the phone said she would pass our details on. We arrived just after 1800 to find that the hotel opens Mon-Sat (not Sunday) so we went into the hotel. The man that greeted us said that Fire and Spice was not open today for unforeseen circumstances and that the girl that answered the phone was new and didn’t know to tell us that. He recommended Chourangi about 5 minutes walk away, which was very nice but about 2.5 times the price

As usual quiet .And delicious .And I’m fussy .just a wee bit too hard to see from the road I guess and I worry that it might not survive if not busy enough .chef pretty much cooks to order .I (as per) had a slightly spicier version of CTM .Really delicious .And I loved the dhal makhani. Lovely curry and lovely people .

This place had the best Indian food I've had in ages! 🤩 We had the chiken korma and the butter chiken, which were both delicious 🤩🤩🤩 The service was great, and it wasn't too expensive. All in all, this place was amazing!!! ❤️

Difficult to find in hotel basement, empty (not 1 single client at 8pm), no charm (you could see the breakfast setup for the next morning). Still, nice reception from the waiter, he hands the menu (extremely short), I ask for a beer. 5’… 10’… 15’… waiter never comes back, I never see the beer, I take off.

Great food but should be busy.I had CTM ,paneer samosa .I eat a lot of Indian and this is good .traditional style and do spicier if asked .I had CTM but spicy and was excellent .

There are a ton of great indian restaurants in London but my wife and I wandered into this one for dinner and it was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was quiet and romantic and the service was terrific. Shubham and Akshay were amazing, and we wish we lived here so we could come again soon.

The service was timely and the food was awesome!

For a takeout it is ridiculous that they charge 7 pounds for an order of 32 pounds. All we did order was dal rice and subzi and 2 rotis for which the total would have been ok minus the 7 extra pounds of what service - late food which was ordered on the phone. Plus the server was behaved rudely.

If I stayed at this hotel I’d be down here ever night. It is a hidden gem and the butter chicken is incredible. Definitely a save for next time

This place is not in the greatest location (in the basement of a hotel), and the decor leaves something to be desired. But don’t let that deter you! The food was really good, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely eat here again.

The food was good, but they forgot my basmati rice and they don’t have napkins or utensils for takeaway so I had to ask my hotel bar for flatware which was sort of awkward.

Den verste maten vi noengang har blitt servert på en restaurant. Den vegetariske retten Korma bestod av frosne erter og rester fra andre poser med frosne grønnsaker,- mixet med en grumsete saus. Den samme sausen som noen få kokte kyllingbiter svømte i,- visstnok en Chicken Tikka. Servicen var ok, men triste omgivelser i kjelleren til Doubletree by Hilton.Vi burde ha luktet lunta da vi gikk ned trappa!

Very bad service. We vegiterans ordered for panner kadhai and they served chicken kadhai. The attitude of the staff was very bad.

Poor ambience and serving food is not appropriate. We ordered the Vegetarian dish but waiter provided us non-veg abruptly. Lot of carelessness and poor customer service.

Not really a Indian, Biriani came with out a veg curry. Waiter did not understand that in every restaurant you get a veg curry with a Biriani... This is England you know

Firstly, it's down a lot of stairs with no lift access so if you're a wheelchair user you're out of luck. We had to carry a pram down the stairs and then back up again. Decor was nice, furniture was nice. We sat and had a couple of popadoms each (that part of the bill was £5). We'd nearly finished them before getting to order our starters and mains. Drinks were slow to arrive. We then had starters which tasted okay and portion sizes were okay as starters go but £8 each, really? Main meals were slow to arrive. I'd asked if they were able to make a Chicken Jalfrezi which I didn't think was a huge ask for an Indian restaurant. I was told that I could only order what was on the menu so opted for a Madras instead. How is an Indian restaurant not able to make dishes that are slightly different to what is on the menu - are they microwave meals or something? The restaurant was practically empty so it's hardly like the chef was stressed out. The madras was okay, the other half's paneer dish was okay. The card machine wasn't working so I was escorted to the bar upstairs to hand over £63 for what we'd had. Won't be back.

The worst service I have ever experienced. It was so bad we were laughing by the end. We had to get up and get our own plates! Took 1.5 hours before our starters came. And after that turns out the waiter forgot some of our order and we had to re order again. I've never seen anything like it!!

Horrible Service! We were asked to wait for almost 20 mins and then their staff informed us the table is ready. When we go in the guy at the reception says its full and cannot accommodate... And the manager stands there speechless... If they had told us earlier we wudnt have waited that long.. This cannot be tolerated in a big city... Learn to be polite.

Great food, amazing service. Nice atmosphere, just inside the Double Tree Hilton. Prices are around £11 for a meat main. I had the paneer kadhai was it was very tasty and flavoursome.

Had a lovely family with my family who was staying at the hotel. This Indian restaurant is truly a hidden gem. Amazing food and service. Highly recommended.

We all enjoyed a good authentic Indian meal together. The service was prompt and friendly and efforts were made to make sure we had a good time.The ambience was good with many other diners enjoying themselves. The decor and furnishing is all swish, clean and up-to-date.

I tried to call the restaurant to book a table for 16 people for a date two weeks in advance. The first call around 12noon I was advised that the manager was not available and to call back at 16:30.. I called back and was told the restaurant does not open until 18:00 to call back then. I called at 19:30 and a waiter answered and was very rude and said to dial an extension number, he was far to busy to talk to me as he had guests in the restaurant. He was exceptional rude. Hence we will not be dining at the Fire and Spice bar and kitchen

While the ambiance is nothing to write home about, the food and service were wonderful. We really liked what was essentially (but called something else) the build your own curry option. I got to put all my favorites together for the perfect outcome. The staff helped with with the stairs (we had a stroller) and found us the right table for the baby. It was a very enjoyable experience.

We love spicy food so we were pleased to see this restaurant was located in the hotel which made life easy for us after a long day on London to be able to relax and have a great dinner in the hotel.

This restaurant is tucked away in the Doubletree Hotel. Despite the quaint surroundings, the food was truly exceptional. The Chicken Tikka Masala was among the very best that I have ever experienced! Compliments to the Chef!

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker! Wir bestellten das Chicken Tikka Masala mit Reis und Naan. Es war top! Service war freundlich und das Essen kam sehr schnell. Es hatte nicht sehr viele Gäste an diesem Abend, was wir gar nicht so verstehen konnten :) Auch von den Preisen her ist es völlig in Ordnung.

Do not go here. The place is basically the breakfast buffet for the Doubletree. I had planned a family dinner for my out of town family members and was horrified when I go there to see three tables only. By the end of the dinner we were the only ones there. The food was all right ( I guess )and the service as well. Although it wasn’t that hard since we were the only ones there. I don’t know who these reviewers are ( they must be paid) but this place is nothing like the reviews. Kind of sad.

Nourriture qui manque de saveurs et de subtilités. Habituée des restos indiens nous avons été déçus par celui-ci ... très cher pour ce que c’est, la note à la fin du repas est salée et ce sans prendre de desserts ... je n’y retournerais pas et vous le déconseille !!!

The food was excellent and tasty, portion sizes were right, the only thing that spoiled it was the poor drinks choice.

After a day at the races we came in to London back towards our hotel, we had tried a few places but these our busy so we decided to see if we could get a table here without a reservation. They were able to fit us in, we both had starters lamb chops and sesame chicken these were delicious, full of flavour and served pretty quickly. Then we had lamb khadi and chicken tikka massala again these were great, the chicken and lamb both were tender. One of the best Indian meals I have had and that’s without mentioning the nan which was amazing. The only down side which isn’t a big problem for us is the menu is limited in choice compared to other restaurants.

So disappointed. Service was excellent. But food not so good. Starter. One chicken. One prawn. Exactly the same sauce. Sweet chilli. So very over priced for what it was. Mains were like a supermarket meal deal. Wouldn’t recommend this as a good Indian :(

Gave a 4 only because the music playing was Beyoncé and random bubblegum pop. The speakers sounded like a tin can - like a cheap portable Bluetooth. Ruins the ambience. Otherwise, the food and service were excellent.

Enjoyed the meal here at Fire & Spice. Dont be put off by the fact that it's in a hotel basement... definitely worth a try. We went very late on in the evening (close to closing time) and Manan, the manager, was still glad to seat us. He gave us plenty of attention and was helpful with recommendations. I was on a short visit to London and had been there for 5 times because of the excellent service by Manan. His service makes you come again and again coupled with the delicious food. You get authentic Indian cuisine both veg and nonveg. Try it and you would fall for the service provided by Manan

We are a regular patron to this restaurant. Though the menu is limited compared to other Indian restaurant, but the quality of food is excellent and authentic. Fantastic Experience, was hesitant to visit initially as its located in the basement. Glad I went.. decor and ambiance is not worth a mention but food is lovely and service first class. Restaurant was busy with almost all tables occupied and saw few people ordering take away as well. Don’t think many people know about this place. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit for its authentic Indian cuisine and impeccable service. 5 STARS!!!!!
