Mulholland Bar in Liverpool

Esta fue mi primera visita al Mulholland Bar y, a juzgar por nuestro tiempo aquí, ciertamente no será la última. Me encantó el aspecto de este bar, sus dos habitaciones, la sala principal está dominada por una barra de madera maciza, una excelente decoración y mobiliario que incluye un fantástico arte de pared, también hay un gorila de tamaño completo que se ve fantástico, es solo un muy buen bar . Mi hermano gemelo Stephen y yo estuvimos aquí un sábado por la noche, el pub estaba empezando a estar ocupado con un gran ambiente, recibido cálidamente por un miembro del personal muy agradable que nos sirvió una cerveza cada uno, optamos por tomar la mayoría de las cervezas españolas. a saber, rojo Mahou, estas cervezas se sirvieron en excelentes condiciones, heladas y espumosas, simplemente nos relajamos, nos relajamos y tomamos el gran bar en el que estábamos. Realmente disfruto del Mahou rojo, es la cerveza de Madrid, una ciudad en la que he estado en muchas ocasiones, es una cerveza ligera, lupulada y sin pretensiones, llena de sabor, muy fácil de beber, un estilo de cerveza que realmente disfruto. En este bar tienen karaoke, escucharon algunas canciones geniales y pusieron la espada aquí, muy divertido. Ambos disfrutamos mucho nuestras cervezas aquí y, aunque nuestra visita fue fugaz por primera vez, quedamos totalmente impresionados con Mulholland Bar. Mulholland Bar es fácil de localizar a lo largo de la calle Seel. Un gran bar, vale la pena echarle un vistazo si estás en la zona.

40th celebration, the perfect start to an evening...Ben was fabulous in leading the class... good fun... good company good drinks... what more can we ask for....would highly recommend!!

We visited Liverpool for the day and only walked past this after walking to the bombed out church, if we hadn't visited this we wouldn't have stumbled across this gem. As it was Saturday we had what booked a restaurant we cancelled and decided to come here... But I did look at the menu and think it was really limited but as we had a 8yr old who loves singing it was a no brainer. We arrived just after 6 and there was only us in the restaurant (they had just had a big party leave).. but they soon started belting out the songs for us and daughter loved it. Another group joined Meal was fine but tbf not much you can go wrong with. Like I said this is only thing that lets the place down, it really is limited. I know if we had been in Liverpool with other family members they would not have gone in. So I think to really tick all the boxes increase the menu choice. We had a train at 9.15 so we took our time and werent rushed, we left at 8.15 being the last people in their. Just before we did my wife asked if they knew speechless from Aladdin as it is our daughters fav song.. One of them didn't whilst the other said she could use her phone... She then sang this which made my daughter's day!! Oh and the banana split.. omg it's huge.. yummy. Will defo return when back in Liverpool. Like I said a bigger menu... Even with a few burgers choices would help attract more customers

Booked online in advance and wasn’t disappointed. Staff were brilliant, fantastic singers, really pleasant and as for the dancers!! Go if you can, it’s great and well worth the money.

We went for the Dirty Dancing themed bottomless brunch for a birthday celebration. Drinks were fast flowing, the entertainment was great and the food was tasty. My one qualm would be the mislabelling of gluten free on the menu- this needs addressing. As someone who's gluten intolerant I was able to work around this but for someone who is strictly coeliac I'd be wary about eating here. Overall though it is definitely the best bottomless brunch experience I have ever been to and is well worth the money!

Waitress was clearly over worked, bar staff were rude and food was served at snails pace. Some starters even came with the main meals as there weren’t enough nacho trays!!!! Felt sorry for the poor waitress who took the brunt of the table next to us also.

We booked the dirty dancing brunch and the whole experience was a disaster including the booking. I will start by saying it was the champions league final which was the priority of the whole city and I can't help feel the venue should have just canceled the brunch, in my opinion, they got greedy and tried to do too much. The communication from the booking team was beyond poor and the only reason I persevered is that the hen really loves dirty dancing, it took nearly two weeks to book a table. As soon as we sat down we were told we would be asked to leave at precisely 5.30 however they would book us a table until 8 at a sister bar across the road, so this was really nice and we were more than happy. But then halfway through the second song, the power went to the sound system, not good for a singing diner! The power did come back on and about 5 pm (60 mins into a 90 min session) we still haven't been served any food, when someone finally came to admit there isn't going to be any food as apparently, the sound system broke the oven! We did receive compensation however more drinks after 90mins of bottomless drinking was not really ideal. After mentioning to the manager that we really needed to eat and him confirming there was no chance of getting a table anywhere as it was the champions league final he finally agreed to get us some chips at the sister bar across the road, we had been given compensation drinks vouchers for. SO after not having a 2-course meal and being told there was no chance of getting a table anywhere else you can imagine my disappointment at the 2 tiniest bowels of chips that we were given. I appreciate it was busy, probably the busiest day of the year however it was irresponsible to overbook yourselves to that point. The staff were clearly stressed and fed up, the service was slow and the lack of food was ridiculous both venues had kitchens and food, a plate of sandwiches would have been enough, even a decent sized bowl of chips! Also, half the songs weren't from dirty dancing unless I missed the part of the film they all started to sing ABBA.

Was in Mulholland bar to watch Liverpool finals. The atmosphere was amazing staff reall friendly. We needed extra chairs they went to get them. So helpful we had a great night

Had the most amazing time here the singers and dancers are fabulous staff very attentive and the prosseco and cocktails fabulous ~ the only negative is the menu really lets the place down. Will definitely go back but not for good

We went to the Disney themed Sunday and as much as our daughter loved seeing Elsa & Ana, they were only there for about 20mins. Felt like we waited a long time for the guest appearances. When they arrived they did a great job and the singing waiters and waitresses were great too. Would have been better if there were more Disney characters though. We wouldn’t go again mainly because we didn’t enjoy the food at all. I wish we’d have eaten elsewhere. We were there for around 2 hrs in all. The tables were sticky and chairs dirty too which was very off putting. Such a good idea but really could be so much better unfortunately.

OMG...... the best 90mins in my life!!! Absolutely not what I thought I signed up for, after paying £33 in the panoramic the day before, I’ve just had my mind blown. As you walk in, service and expectations as standard...........until Matt slides in on his knees.........YOUR WORLD TURNS UPSIDE DOWN.........wtf can you believe that it goes from being so casual to 110% amazing. Special thanks to all waiters for a great afternoon. Matt and Ben waited on us hand and foot. Special thanks to all members of staff; Ben, Matt, Regan, Alex, Harry, Kai, Jamil and Mica. Thank you all for the TIME OF OUR LIVES.

The bar has Disney themed entertainment and food and drink. The entertainment is ok the children loved it. The food was really bad so I don’t recommend going there at all!!!

Booked to go on a Saturday night with friends for my birthday as I was so excited to see the singing waiters and have a laugh with my mates. The menu was limited but we went with it and ordered as we agreed it was more for the experience than the actual food. Our first issue was the drinks... we ordered 3 diet cokes, a cocktail and a pint. When they arrived after about 15 minutes, the cokes weren't diet and the pint was flat with no head. When my friend tasted it and told them, they said there was an issue with the barrels and all were turned off so offered a bottle instead and swapped our cokes. The girl with red hair who sorted this was lovely and apologetic even though it was not her fault. We were happy it had been dealt with and sat back to enjoy our night. The singers are very talented, the one redeeming feature of the night. After an hour had passed and we still hadn't received our food (some were nachos that don't need cooking) and others who arrived after us had already eaten, we wondered if we had been forgotten. The manager confirmed this to be the case and said it would be a couple more minutes and we could have a drink on the house. We waited another 15 minutes for our food to arrive and it got worse. The chips were cold, the nachos came without cheese or soured cream and another meal was entirely wrong so she just said to leave it. When I asked if they had soured cream the waiter just said no and walked away. Again, the girl with the red hair came over and I couldn't fault her. She said there was none left in the kitchen and this should've been explained but couldn't explain why there was no cheese. She was so apologetic and we explained that it wasn't her fault at all but we had junk yard golf booked for 9 so had to go, we had no time left to wait as we had already been there for an hour and a half. She said she would try and sort a full refund. 10 minutes later the manager still hadn't bothered to come over so we went over and said did we owe anything as we were going. He was clearly taking things off our bill rather than a full refund but agreed we could go.. no apology given. I hope this was just a bad night for them and it's not always like this as the other reviews suggest it's great. I wont be risking it again though!

Had brilliant time at the Dirty Dancing bottomless brunch. The staff are extremely professional, attentive and brilliant at what they do. The live entertainment was outstanding. Drinks were topped up all the time. Both Prosecco and choice of cocktails on offer. Food choice was limited but enjoyable.

We booked in for lunch on a Thursday but due to me not reading the menu online properly we didn't realise that the menu was very limited midweek at lunchtime. We decided to just stay for drinks and were treated to a song sand beautifully by our waitress . Even though we only stayed 15 minutes we could still see how great this place is, just check the best times to visit (weekends or evenings) and you'll have a great time.

Just popped in for a cocktail with the girls for a couple of hours and we didn’t want to leave. Great music, songs and there was a 6 year old having a birthday and the treated us to dance. We all loved it

Took our four children (13, 10, 8, 3) to the Disney themed Sunday afternoon in January. Clearly the 3 year old LOVED it but what was surprising even the sceptical 8 and 10 year old boys ended up having a lovely time and were signing along by the end! We all loved it. As others have said, this is not Michelin star fine dining, but the food was perfectly adequate for us all. Freshly prepared and not too complicated. The entertainment is great. And the singers interaction with the children was worthy of Disney itself. Special shout out to Regan, all the singers were great. Our waitress Mica was friendly, attentive and helpful. We will be back!

Took my friends and little sister here for her belated 30th Birthday and brought my 3-year-old and her little friend along for the ride. The live entertainment was fab and really engaging, both my sister and my daughter were amazed by the princesses singing all their favourite Disney musical songs. They even brought out a special birthday cocktail and made a real fuss over the birthday girl. Food was fab, and service was fast and attentive. Might make it a regular Sunday activity.

Took our five year old to the Disney themed Sunday afternoon 27/1. She loved it. We loved it. It’s not high end food, but you’re not here for that. It’s the entertainment that makes this place different. And the singers interaction with the children was worthy of Disney itself. Well done Belle and especially Cinderella. Will definitely try visit next time we’re in town for a non-Disney day. Hope it’s still around. We need the difference. mama Mia, dirty dancing, grease etc themed nights may pull in the crowds. And kids birthday parties - with something extra to keep them occupied.

Came here for my sisters hen do in October and it was great, so much fun and great singing, decided to go back for my birthday tonight and I'm so disappointed, hardly any singing in the time we where there and a couple of the singers where terrible too which made it not enjoyable. Very disappointed as I was really looking forward to coming back.

We visited midweek in January around 7pm. As expected for time of year it was very quiet with couple of families in. Food was very basic, I would recommend if thinking of having a meal to go somewhere like Bold Street then just drinks here.Singers were brilliant, they saved this review. I can imagine this is a great place with fab atmosphere at the weekend

Went in a large group.. Found it very very basic.. Singers are ok but they could use some training.. They didn't even stop for applause.. Just walked away.. All felt very rushed and quite frankly can't be bothered.. Both food and concept

Fantastic night! Our waitress was Regan brilliant service and a beautiful voice! This place needs more advertising so people know it’s here!

Came in one Saturday and was pretty impressed. Although the menu was fairly limited (no chips, outrageous!) and the location left much to be desired, the waiting staff were lovely and the novelty of singing staff is an excellent idea. My waitress, Beth, was very charming and funny, and was a very impressive singer. Would recommend, if only for the experience rather than the menu!

Just not my kind of place. Called in for a pre-dinner drink at 7:30 on a Friday and it was almost empty. Very basic decor, nice staff but wouldn’t go again!!

Honest opinion.... Location is the rough end of town, staff are excellent and will all make the west end shows one day however the menu is very poor for a city centre restaurant that has had the TV cameras there during the opening week. Hot dogs, nachos and basic pizzas are not going to bring people back.

Visited for the first time this week ..having read about it ..brought my family along ..came quite early so was a bit quiet at first ..ordered out food .I really enjoyed the singing ..thought everyone did a great job ..brilliant voices ...the food was good ..Good atmosphere when more people arrived ...lovely friendly staff

Visited before a trip to the cinema. As it was their official opening night we were given our main meal for free and just paid for drinks and desserts.The staff are absolutely amazing, friendly and efficient service on top of them all being fantastic singers! The diner itself is decorated well with lots of movie posters and prop. We were given nachos for a starter which were tasty but coould have been even better with a bit more sauces and topping on. We then had half a cheese pizza and a shredded pork topped hot dog between the two of us. The hot dog was delicious, the pizza very nice. The regular menu is very basic, just nachos, hotdogs, pizzas and sandwiches. We both had a gin cocktail which were delicious and very well priced. Overall we had a really fun night. The staff really do the place credit. It’s the ideal place for fun with young families, friends or anyone who loves musicals! The menu tho basic is a really tasty, as long as you’re not looking for somewhere with an extensive menu you should love it.

Visited Mulholland for lunch prior to a Theatre visit. We were impressed with the friendly, efficient, talented staff, especially Rueben our waiter who entertained us with songs from Musical Theatre. We definitely enjoyed the whole experience and will be visiting again when next in Liverpool!

When your children say ‘that was the best meal ever’ you know you have to write a review. Wonderful service and amazingly talented servers. Special mention to Reuben and Alex who are both fantastic singers and lovely people who made our experience what it was. Will definitely be coming back

I had such a lovely night served by a really nice young lady called Beth, very helpful and polite. I have told all my friends and we will all be in soon.

We visited Mulholland bar this week as a half term treat. First impressions are that the restaurant looks lovely and we were seated in a great location for seeing all the entertainment. Our table was wobbly but this was rectified with a slip of napkin under the leg. We waited about 10 minutes for someone to come over and take our order, and that was only after we waved him down. To be fair, most of the servers were singing so it’s to be expected! We ordered an Oreo milkshake which came quickly but was warm before we reached the bottom. My children’s food came about 15 minutes after we ordered, they made a cheese sandwich for my little girl as there wasn’t much young child friendly options on the menu. The sandwich was huge and she liked it. My sons margarita pizza was lovely, he ate most of it. My food hadn’t been put through the till so it came out 10 minutes after my children’s. It was a tuna sandwich (a tuna matata) which would of been lovely if the tuna hadn’t come directly from the tin (it was still oily and chunky in places) However, the restaurant hasn’t been open long so we put it down to teething problems. The atmosphere was great, the performers giving it their all. We went for the entertainment and wasn’t disappointed. Even with the few issues, we would definitely still go again.

All singing & all dancing, entertainment, cocktails, milkshakes totally brilliant. We didn't eat a proper meal just nachos and puddings, with milkshakes which were all fabulous. We were served by Matt who is now our favourite waiter on the planet, great singing and wonderful making our lad feel like the centre of the universe!

Went to Mulholland last week with my daughers for our tea! What a place!!! Amazing atmosphere! Welcomed by lovely friendly staff and can’t fault service from then on! Place just feels alive and what sets it from the rest is the entertainment WOW! When getting food and drinks served waiting staff singing and just make whole restaurant buzz! My daughers ages 15 13 and 9 all loved the place, so much so I have booked for daughter birthday with friends!

The Mulholland Bar was in our hotel, The Arthouse Hotel, has a very good vibe in there, great live music, friendly staff, atmosphere was relaxed, great statue of King Kong in there.

Absolutely amazing, our first visit to this fabulous place and was thoroughly impressed. Loved the playlist of Disney songs and all the vocalisists/ servers sounded amazing, especially Regan who was extremely helpful. The service was amazing and the food was very tasty. Definitely going to come here again and would recommend anyone to come here!

I visited this restaurant with my wife this evening and had a great time. We had lovely food but the coolest thing was the entertainment, the service staff all sing and have amazing voices. Regan particularly had an amazing voice. It was a great change to the usual restaurants. If you love music and also food then you need to go to mulholland

The atmosphere was relaxed though exciting! A host of lovely young people with the most amazing singing voices and repertoire of musical theatre songs...an absoulte treat for the ears and eyes! Taste buds enjoyed it too...nice simple food at a reasonable price.Singing waiters...so different and yet they performed with ease .All staff were so friendly and welcoming. Apparently SUNDAY'S are DISNEY themed ...I will definitely be going back. Perfect for any occasion! Well done and Thank you.Especially to ROSA who was so helpful and entertaining.

I was served by a lovely waitress called Beth, she was amazing and so were all of the other staff! Couldn’t do enough for me and were extremely welcoming. Great food and brilliant entertainment, would highly reccomend.

Visited here on Saturday for the cocktail masterclass. I could not fault the class itself, the girl leading it was fantastic, and had a great evening of entertainment. We had pre paid for food afterwards, nothing special just pizza and chips. The pizza was burnt to a crisp and the chips were cold, it took ages to find a member of staff to get it resolved. They provided a free glass of bubbly for compensation, but it was just a let down after such a great evening.

We’ve just got home from my hen weekend in Liverpool and had the cocktail masterclass on Saturday night with Mustafa! He was amazing!!! We all had a brilliant time, never laughed so much! Would definitely do it again as was so much fun. Mustafa was great and made the whole thing really fun and enjoyable! A must do for any hen do! Thankyou!!!!!

We had booked a cocktail class and turned up to an alley way, at first we thought wtf until we walked in! We were greeted by shannon and wow she entertained us from start to finish! Great class , great banter and thoroughly entertained all the way through, so much so we stayed for more cocktails after it! The guy on the bar cillín was good craic too

First time calling in here, really friendly atmosphere and and relaxing vibe. Our bartender Cillin was fantastic made us feel like regulars and went above and beyond to meet our needs. Cocktails were brilliant and a very wide selection to choose from. Will definitely be back here.

Has a wide range of cocktails on offer that I would highly recommend! They are made well and taste exceptional! The staff often go above and beyond and are really friendly. Lots of things to offer such as cocktail master classes and live music. Deals on food and drinks can't remember prices but we had a handmade pizza for about a fiver and it tasted great! Definitely recommend!

We have been to Mulholland 3 days in a row now.. the breakfast is outstanding and don't even get me started on the cocktails! There was not one that Myself and my boyfriend couldn't fault.. the service was out of this world thanks to Shanna! Her customer service skills are great, such a friendly welcoming atmosphere and a great laugh plus the amazing cocktails! We will 100% be returning!

Mulholland stands out amongst all the bars in Liverpool due to their incredibly friendly and helpful staff. They are engaged in the community and happy to help newcomers with recommendations. Their menu and drink selection are great too. I look forward to returning!

My partner and I visited Liverpool last month and we called in to Mulholland Bar for a cocktail as we heard so many great reports about it so we thought we would try it ourselves. On entering the bar the place looked really cool and the staff were really friendly in particular our server Shannon who was so nice and very informative about the cocktails :-) everything tasted amazing!! 100% we will be back again :-) I have told friends to drop in when in Liverpool and I would advise anyone else to check it out!!

As this was our first visit to liverpool like any visit outside your comfort zone you are nervous and anxious. This was the case with us until we met the lively staff in particular a guy called paddy. Paddy was our server for breaky on both monings of our stay. This is a very hard worker and is a credit to not just the bar/restaurant but to the overall hotel. He not only single handedly took all the orders from each table but served each table professionally and no table was left waiting or without. His recommendation for food was brilliant but what we loved most about this man was he took the time to get to know us and ask us questions and told us about liverpools history clubs and attractions he pointed us out some great spots and we were really greatful to him for that as it made our stay extra special. The hotel should really be happy with all there staff as the girls on reception were great to us too. But Paddy really stood out to us.

Been going to this bar for a while now, maybe 6 months. It used to be called Arthouse but now is Mulholland's. The bar staff are really friendly and they make some great cocktails and do good deals. If you don't fancy a cocktail the soft drinks are reasonably priced too. Been there on a Friday when there has been a live band playing and this was good. Also been regularly on a Monday when there was a salsa class on. Both nights are completely different but really good. There are some good food deals too. Some of the pizzas have eclectic toppings but you can't go far wrong with some of the £5 ones and they are handmade. Very tasty.

Really good fun cocktail making class for a hen. Sophie made the class very fun with some help with paddy! Would definitely recommend and very good value for money

Great place for something to eat and drink. Highly recommend. A nice place for a night out in the town or just a nice meal and drink. Been a couple of times and never had a problem. Staff are more than friendly and the service is excellent

We came upon this place by chance but oh my goodness it draws us back time and again. What do we love ? .... Amazing breakfasts, relaxed atmosphere, the table tennis, the music, Shannon's Espresso Martini - heaven on earth, she is the icing on a special cake. Keep up the good work Mr Mulholland, we will be back ........

This bar is the kin of cocktails, fantastic service and lots of personality. Well worth a try. Will defo be coming back!!!

This is 1 of the best bars ive ever been too. Fast service, amazing prices and absolutely the best entertainment ive ever experienced from salsa to beat boxing everything was fabulous. Cant wait to come here again when visiting Liverpool

Fantastic bar and Breakfast does the most delicious cocktails with lots of choice. Staff are amazing go above and beyond its great that you get 20% off when you are staying in the hotel also have great live music. I will be back for sure.

Great days fun at Mulholland Bar for a cocktail making class. Excellent value for money and a great girl Alex who took the class. Played games, made delicious cocktails and most importantly had great laughs!!

Stayed at the hotel attached to mulholland last night with my sister , daughter and my daughters friends for a girly night in what a place! we was in room 304 a 6 sleeper the girls was wow'd soon as we walked in after settling in we went to the bar and ordered pizza , nachos etc the menu was Perfect for a chilled night in with the girls all the right sharing bits aswell as our cocktails chosen and made by Alex which was which was brought up to our room really fast by Alex, the young man on the bar he was brilliant he looked after us all night so thanks Alex your a star. In the morning we went down for breakfast and was looked after by the lovely Shannon she couldn't of look after us enough. Recommend the breakfast wrap , pancakes and full English. God love Shannon we had her up the wall and she still managed to smiled lol overall what a lovely bar! I want to visit the Magic Mike night held here with my friends and the open mic night because the staff alone are worth a visit just for the service. thanks Guys and see yous soon.

Went here for a full English breakfast with friends when we was feeling very hungover after my birthday celebrations. It was wonderful! The staff couldn't have been any nicer and couldn't do enough for you. The food was delicious, needless to say not a scrap of food was left on any of our plates. Will most certainly be visiting again!

We had full English breakfast here, the food was good and service was great. Loved the 60s tunes during breakfast, helps start the day in a good mood! Would recommend.

Was recommended by a friend to come for pizza & prosecco and it didn't disappoint!! Such a great atmosphere we stayed for the most delicious cocktails in Liverpool and had a great night. Brilliant staff, especially Alex Grayson (ALI G) who looked after us. She made us so welcome we have been back twice since. Love it here xxx

Such a cool bar, the decor is quirky and glamorous. I always have such a good time here, great atmosphere with lovely food and friendly staff especially shannon. She's excellent at making drinks is always extremely helpful and friendly.

Popped in looking for a nice drink along Seel street and was sold by the live music, great bands playing making it feel really upbeat. The service was excellent, all the staff seemed really friendly, and the cocktails were lovely too!

A great bar in the heart of Liverpools city centre. In a fantastic location, and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone visiting the city.
