Really great experience at Mulberry. Good food and service too. Tough to find restaurants with rosette standard food that are also suitable for kids (we went for Sunday lunch) in Surrey. I was surprised they were even able to accommodate a last min vegan desert request + last min no refined sugar desert request. Found the staff v accommodating generally. In writing this I notice some of the photos are of previous dining room decor and not HD. I recommended replacing them.

Really nice experience in a historic hotel. The dining room feels really traditional, but the food was modern and high quality. My main was North African influenced, being lamb on a bed of giant couscous, with padron peppers, feta and a pepper sauce as accompaniments. But the star of the show was dessert, which featured an amazing warm chocolate tart. The pastry case was wafer thin and underneath a light chocolate crust a fondant chocolate oozed out. Pistachio ice cream and cherries completed a perfect pudding. Good wines, friendly service, nice views over the garden. My only regret was so few diners were present. It’s not cheap, so an experience worth enjoying on special occasions.

This is nothing like it used to be. Only the ducks in the garden are as nice as ever. Chef was good, but Langshott is a changed establishment, and not in a good way.

I had a voucher for the Alexander Group of hotels so we decided to use it at the Mulberry restaurant at Langshott Manor. When we arrived it was all very confusing the lady at reception thought I had phoned to say I was late but never actually asked for my name to check who I was. We were then presented with menus and I can only say where we went for a romantic meal we were asked 3 times if we were ready to order clearly they wanted our order ASAP. I don’t like this approach in these types of restaurants. I opted for the Arancini to start which said it had truffle in it…. It definitely didn’t or at least the tiniest amount wither way I couldn’t taste it nor could my partner. Then the Cote De Bœuf comes…. A reminder you have to pay £15 per person extra for this! It was extremely fatty and had lots of fatty flesh (sinew) within the meat. We got it cooked medium rear as the waitress said this this was chefs preferred cooking. I had a steak knife and still found it VERY tough. When asked how we found it we said ‘it was okay thanks’ not one person asked why it was only okay and continued to serve us as normal. I felt the starters and the mains where SO rushed by the staff! Then for dessert we had the cheese which was fine but nothing special and again no one explained even what cheeses they were to us. The menu said a selection of British and French but who knows! I had been to Langshott once before and it was a fabulous meal but it’s gone massively downhill and does not meet its 4* hotel expectations like before. Very disappointed and I guess I should have complained on the evening but we had a voucher and just wanted to go home. The food wasn’t inedible but it’s not to the standard you expect from before that’s all I will say.

My wife and I had dinner and breakfast in the Mulberrry Restaurant as part of a stay at Langshott Manor. We have stayed several times over the years and the whole experience never fails to delight. There were clear guidelines in place to ensure social distancing and other safety measures but this did not detract from our enjoyment at all. The service we received was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. We did not feel rushed and the Team were always solicitous but never intrusive. As always, the food was delicious and beautifully cooked and presented. Our thanks to all the Team for looking after us so well.

We had afternoon tea here to celebrate my dads birthday and I have to say at £25 a head and with 12.5% service charge added it was very poor The sandwiches were extremely thin with hardly any filling and very bland The scones were lovely but very small The selection of cakes was nice but not inspiring although the red velvet cake and the lemon meringue tart were lovely Service was virtually non existent and we were left alone in the dining area with very little attention from the one girl serving who was not particularly friendly and they were exactly rushed off their feet Probably the worst afternoon tea I have ever had which is a shame as my parents had previously had a lovely tea in the garden here some years ago In these days when the hospitality industry is in trouble I would suggest you up your game a bit or risk more bad reviews

We were taken to a rather dark and dismal room in need of redecoration. Disappointing as it was a lovely day and it would have been nice to have our afternoon tea in the lovely garden. A pot of tea duly arrived followed by a plate stand. Well there were 4 teeny tiny sandwiches on the bottom plate - not much more than a mouthful each. Scones on the centre plate and some very average little cakes on top. It would have been nice to have been offered another pot of tea . The bill was presented with a £20 discount as part of the “eat out” scheme, reducing the total to £30. I have to say I would have been horrified if we had paid the usual price of £50. If you want an excellent afternoon tea, I would suggest you try South Lodge. Yes it is more expensive but so worth it - they bring you extra sandwiches , endless top ups of tea and amazing cakes. They even give a doggy bag to take home anything you cant manage !

Food was lovely, service non existent. After receiving our afternoon tea we didn’t see a member of staff again - no one checked if we were ok or if we needed more tea/coffee - the whole restaurant was full of customers but no staff. After an hour and a half I had to go into the hotel reception to find someone to ask for another pot of tea. The whole experience was really poor and I would not recommend afternoon tea at this hotel for this reason.

My Mum was visiting from London and so we booked up Afternoon Tea here as a treat. When we arrived we parked up in the gravel carpark. I took my electric wheelchair out of the boot of my car and tried to make my way to the building. First my Mum had to go and find someone to ask where the wheelchair access was, a man came out with a basic fold up ramp. I tried to make my way over to the ramp and it was impossible with the gravel being deep and wet! To my complete embarrassment I got completely stuck with my wheelchair wheels just spinning in the gravel. This was then made worse by a member of staff who came out to push my chair towards the ramp! I finally got up that and through the door when we went through the building and in every room and doorway was something else that needed to be moved or taken away so that I could get past. This spoilt our whole experience and visit there and unfortunately we will never return because of this. It was a real let down.

For the location and the price, this just simply isn't good enough. The food, when it arrives, is very good - well prepared and very tasty, but took a glacial amount of time to arrive, both for dinner and breakfast the next day. I simply resent paying £5 for a cold bread roll, despite where it was sourced, at the least it should be served warmed and with the option of butter or oil, but cold no thanks. The maitre'd did say they were 'rushed off their feet' when we sat down, but with four empty tables when we had dinner I think this was overstating things! Would not return even if the 12.5% service fee was refunded.

In summary A wonderful meal and beautiful grounds as a view when eating then coffee outside after. So nice. I took my boyfriend here last night and had a lovely pimms to start where they went to garden to pick fresh mint.. very tasty.. then the starter was a potato salad with smashed avacado and shallots and lovely mix of flavours but the main course sea bream with squid ink linguini was divine. The very light and drag sauce was amazing. I had pre ordered a special occasion happy birthday plate with tiramisu and a candle but I noticed they didn’t have that on menu so I thought I would have to go with chocolate cake... but when it came time to present this they had presented us with the tiramisu. The chef bought the ingredients especially to make it for us. It’s my boyfriends favourite and that was so nice! I have come here for years and I had another special nite.

I was very much looking forward to my birthday dinner my husband treated me to, but it turned out quite disappointing. The menu is not very inspiring and the food is very overpriced. I had the vegetable tart which was so dry and flaky it was impossible to eat, so ended up just eating the vegetables sitting on top of it. My husband's burger was bland and tasteless. My husband asked for sauce that never came. No one came near our table after the food was served, until awhile after we'd finished so no chance of asking for the sauce or to order something different. Shame that the meal turned out this way as the restaurant and view of the gardens from our table was so lovely.

This was once a superb fine dining restaurant which I would treat my employees to each Christmas. However, this year the experience was average at best. The broad cocktail menu is replaced by a limited choice of drinks. The smart dinner menus are replaced by a single sheet on a cardboard backing, like a pub. Gone is the head waiter to take your order in the lounge, invite you through to be seated, and note where each individual in your party sits. Now you are left in the lounge to walk through to the restaurant and place your order at the table. The choice of freshly baked bread rolls have been replaced by baskets dumped unceremoniously on the table. The food was OK but no longer even attempting a michelin star or AA rosette. Menu options were broader than previously, but with that comes a drop in standards and none had any technical flair or unusual interest. The staff were nice enough but clearly not trained in silver service, even presenting the wrong items to at least one or our party. The wine menu was a total let down. All the fine wines have been cleared out. The best french red was a sub-£50 St Emilion and the best white a £80 1er Cru Chablis which was sold out! The atmosphere has been downgraded too. The restaurant has had a 'makeover', replacing the warm old Tudor character with brightly lit stark, modern interior and a rectangular table for 8 divided our group into two halves. I suspect from a business perspective it was hard to make the old restaurant work. The hotel chain probably had to reduce costs and prices across the board to serve the regular airport business, rather than events like our annual Christmas outing. Our bill was half that of previous years and the dining experience was half as good. Thankfully, we all still enjoyed ourselves but sadly, we'll have to go up to London next year for fine dining.

Arrived for Birthday Dinner on lovely Summer's evening. Shown to the patio for a drink prior to dinner and already disappointed in standard of dress for what purports to be an upmarket elegant location. Waited for 10 minutes for some service but as nobody appeared, went into the hotel and asked a waiter for drinks to be told he was serving somebody else but would come to take our order thereafter. However, a further ten minutes later, at the time we were booked for dinner, still no service. At this stage, we decided to leave - if I am paying top prices, I expect top service! When I confronted the receptionist on the desk to say why we were leaving, there was just a blank look with no hint of an apology.Sorry folks, but will not be going back to Langshott Manor!

I can see now why this Restaurant has such mixed reviews. The starter was ok, the small steak meal was ok but not especially good and too small a portion. The dessert was very nicely made and was typically fine dining standard. Sadly the wine menu was overpriced as some of the range of wine was nothing special. If you were to order a decent bottle of wine to go with their 3 course meal, it would be a very pricey meal, and the price would not be justified by the food. There are so many good gastronomic pubs that serve better food than this restaurant, so I am unable to recommend it based on my experience and that of my friend. If you live in the area and it is your local then I think it's worth a visit, as the service is okay for dinner.Sadly breakfast was disappointing and very mediocre and service was not good with a long wait.I would not go back to this Restauarant, but if it's on your doorstep then I can see the appeal as it has such outstanding grounds and gardens.Shame!

Went for an evening meal when we had an overnight stop at Gatwick Airport. We were booked for 8.00 on a Wednesday evening and settled into a nice lounge with open fire for a drink. When we were shown into the restaurant we were the only people in the dining room which surprised me given the good reviews. We had two courses each with a bottles of reasonable wine. The food was sound, not going to blow your mind, but what you would expect from a country hotel. The bill including the pre dinner drinks was £173 which explained the empty restaurant. Two courses off the menu were £45 and these were not £25/£30 main courses by any stretch

Part of our one night at the Langshott we book a table at the restaurant.I have to say the evening was wonderful.Right from the start we found the staff to be absolutely first class. It was not an issue for us that they added 12.5% service charge to the bill.I thought the menu was fantastic. My start was a wonderful cold pork with a sensational smoked beetroot. The beetroot was amazing. I had a crusted skate for main and a desert followed by a Tokaji .Just one small issue. I thought the tasting menus could have been a little more tempting. I felt I was best served by three courses where as I would normally always opt to taste.Pretty much a faultless and perfect dinner.

I have been to Langshott Manor on a few occasions for Afternoon Tea, most recently for Mother's Day.Upon booking I was told that they were fully booked up until 4:30pm, I was happy to take this slot. I called closer the time to see if they had any cancellations so that we might come earlier but was told they were still fully booked. When we arrived there was hardly anyone there and plenty of room - with lots of empty tables. We were seated and served quickly. The food was good, though on previous visits it has been much better. The thing that really annoyed me was that the service was very poor. We waited ages for our tea to be replenished and eventually I had to get up (for fear of no one coming at all) When I eventually found a waiter I politely asked if we could have more tea and coffee and his reply was a sarcastic 'yes, I'm coming'. Once we had finished we had to wait again for ages and no waiter came to clear or offer the bill. We got up and paid at the front desk. £21 each for posh afternoon tea in lovely surroundings would be fine, if the service was good. Not only that but they added service charge on to the bill as well...really not good when I'm not sure I would have chosen to pay much tip in light of the bad service we received.I don't think I'll be returning again, my search for decent afternoon tea in Surrey continues...

My husband and I enjoyed a rare date night at the Mulberry restaurant on Saturday. The food was beautiful - I particularly enjoyed the chocolate fondant for dessert, it was the best fondant I've ever had - so light! The only downside to the meal was the pre dinner drinks we enjoyed. The rooms used for this purpose lack atmosphere and are tucked away. We arrived at 7:40 and did not go through to dinner till after 8:30. In this time it took a while for our drinks to be served and we then felt that we may have been forgotten about before being taken through to the restaurant for our meal.Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the meal and our evening and will definitely be returning. Langshott was a "long shot" a definition of which is above.Recent lunch for seven of us. The Mulberry is a pleasant, sophisticated setting in a 16C. Tudor Manor with views out to the garden later exploration of which revealed a charming terrace by a pond. A really attractive, photogenic, and tranquil setting and it is easy to see what might satisfy the requirements for any wedding, or overnight treat before a flight from nearby Gatwick. But were we satisfied? Well, yes, and no.We are all quite discerning, even though we were taking advantage of their Summer Set Menu. Four of us have lived all over the world and experienced a wide variety of cuisines, some in privileged surroundings. The plusses were that most enjoyed the menu but with some caveats:The pea soup starter for one was very acceptable with a pleasing sweetness.A few found that the Ox Ragout was, perhaps, unseasoned. The chicken main was tasty but a few were perplexed by the small and sweet (potato?) croquettes. The mushroom taglietelle was described as very tasty though the portions might have been a little bit bigger.Another made favourable mention of the chocolate dessert while several were critical of the unusual and highly individual presentation of the cheesecake. Two of our group had particular dietary requirements that were met with a positive response. Full marks. The complimentary wine, however, met with universal disapproval with one oenophile stating "nasty."If some drinks are aged in oak or sherry casks then this particular choice must have been kept in a tin. To my surprise, no-one other than me ordered any further wine.In this regard, imagining that the Mulberry's main clientele might be business, why are not more, reasonably-priced, glasses on offer.Similarly, if you are serving a wine with a lunch that is expected to be using quality ingredients, then to use a complimentary wine that is not in any sense of the word "complimentary" seems, at the very least, to be an oversight!?Service was slow (too slow) to start which was remarkable in a room in which, to begin with, we were the only diners!. "Not getting our starters until we had been there an hour was inexcusable," said one. Once they got going there were no other complaints in this regard and, in general, staff were efficient and courteous. But the Set Summer Lunch@ 3 courses for £25 (soon to end) is certainly a good deal so do try.One last observation: I was tempted to try the a la carte lunch menu @ 3 courses for £35 as it had a greater selection but was disincentivised by a few dishes attracting an additional supplement.Regret forced to give an overall marking of AVERAGE. Just a little tweaking to food and service might have merited higher marks.

As I cannot eat vinegar, I wasn't able to have a couple of choices on the tasting menu, so we opted to eat from the three course a la carte menu for dinner. Many of the dishes are designed with pickled vegetables or sauces or dressings involving vinegar, so I had to negotiate thes obstacles, however, despite this, my meal was truly superb. We were given amuses bouches first, one adapted for my needs. My starter was ballotine of duck - my mouth waters as I remember its richness.. It overpowered my glass of chardonnay which I swapped with Chris and ordered a glass of Tokay - a most delicious dessert wine, and perfect with this rich starter. .Chris had a complex ragout of oxtail and for a main he had halibut and I had the sirloin of beef with truffle shavings. All these dishes came with intricate ingredients to balance and tease the palate. They were most accomplished and refined. We were served warm breads, I wish these had arrived before our starters, they would have been much appreciated at that point. Service was charming but we would have liked more advice on wine choices as there didn't seem to be a sommelier available. Chris had a tonka bean creme caramel and I had a passionfruit and dark chocolate delice for dessert. They were both astonishingly rich and delicious. I would order the tonka bean creme caramel for my last meal.Very, very fine food - and I understand the sous chef was cooking, and the meal was a credit to him/her.Our breakfast in the morning was not of quite the same standard, but none the less good with interesting choices of cooked dishes, as well as the usual help yourself to juice and fruit etc.We felt we had had very good value for money for both these meals, as they were part of a dinner b & b deal purchased via Amazon at a significant saving. A wonderful opportunity to sample food of this quality in beautiful surroundings.

Visited here as lunch guests of a couple celebrating a wedding anniversary. We had the private room at the end of the dining room, and this has a decking area backing onto the trees and pond - very picturesque. Terrific surroundings.Excellent service throughout, and given the fine dining the food arrived in a very well-organised way.All the courses were excellent - we chose from three for each course (to keep it manageable given the number) and all tastes were catered for - fish, meat and fowl.We will probably return now either as a couple or a smaller group for dinner.

I have eaten here 4 times over the last 3 years and has much improved in this time, my last visit was for Mother's Day and had decided to treat her to the 5 course tasting menu in which I'm very glad that I did, all the dishes were amazing especially the deserts as I have a real sweet tooth, the wine was also very good. I was a tad disappointed that a waiter named Travis was not working that evening as I have been served by him a few times and find him to be very professional yet also a good laugh if you are that type of customer. I did here over dinner by one of the waiters that they are going to try for a Michelin star but from my point of you they lack slightly in a few areas so will not gain one but definitely not because of the glorious food. I will indeed always want to dine here.

Beautiful garden and surroundings, disappointing food and absolutely appalling service. Disinterested surely staff and we had to ask for everything - like drinks maybe, then bread, then maybe some butter ... And we waited in between to give them time to think of it before we asked very politely. Food was ok - well presented but tasteless

The sign says 'Drop in for lunch'. Hence, in good faith I decided to take my in laws who were visiting from Sweden on a Sunday for lunch. At 12h35, I was informed that the place had been booked for a party that was coming in later that day.The restaurant was completely empty , without a single customer. However, the young female behind the counter refused to allow us to even have coffee. Stated we could not have lunch or a drink. Very unhelpful. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. Went down to Nutfield Priory who were more accommodating and friendly. The 'just drop in' sign is fraudulent as this is not the case. The sign should be removed immediately. Don't go here.

Excellent food and good wine. The advice offered by the young man on service that evening was superb and the wine excellent. Lovely ambience.

I wanted to like this place. The setting is great and I was looking forward to my seven course tasting menu. We were shown to the morning room for a drink whilst we waited for friends to arrive. And waited for an order to be taken. And waited for the drinks to arrive. It really wasn't busy. This is not my first visit to an establishment like the Mulberry, but I really felt I was being looked down on for the whole time there. The Maitre D' was rather... abrupt. The waitress who told us what was being served each time spoke very quietly and mechanically. My wife's dairy allergy seemed to confuse them a lot more than other places.Anyway, the food was excellent for the most part, and some of the wine choices were perfect. But for the price paid, they really need to work on the service.

The food was special - good presentation and great flavours combined. The staff were very attentive and the Maitre D' was knowledgeable and provided good advice as well as managing the restaurant, very well. A good place to go and I would recommend for couples (and recommend a stay-over)

We went for lunch at the mulberry recently. The service we found was appalling as on my main meal, which was roast beef, they forgot to give me any cauliflower cheese. When I asked it took the time for me to eat the best part of the meal before receiving some in a bowl. The roast potato wasn't cooked properly as it was so big the centre was still hard. We went with the roast dinner meal vouchers which you can buy in advance. We were also supposed to get coffees as part of the experience, but these were also forgotten about. The best bit is when I complained afterwards via email to the restaurant manager Travis he just said 'steps have been taken to ensure this doesn't happen again'. Well what about the fact we paid for an experience we didn't get? This place is overrated and the attitude by management stinks I would get better service at mcdonalds.

Poor value for money (£29:50 for three course luncheon).I am afraid I regard arty food as the elephant in the room.I like a meal to be a meal, not look great but lack the basics, including quantity. One or two of the hors-d'oeuvres appeared to be not much more than a smear on a plate (take a magnifying glass), and the chocolate fondues were presented looking more like physics experiments than desserts. The worst of it was that the main meal (beef and Yorkshire pudding) was cold. This was the whole course; the meat, the Yorkshire, the vegetables (one potato, three 2 inch carrots) – all cold (the plates were not hot). The only thing that was hot was the horseradish! If I had been paying I would have sent it back.Nice place, good surroundings, poor value. With the drinks the bill was £300 for 6 people. Serving food cold that should be hot is just unforgivable. The dress code of “elegantly smart” is neither followed or enforced. We were “smart casual” and felt overdressed.BTW, for anyone who likes their beer – there is nothing at all on draught! It is all bottled

Stayed at langshott manor, ate breakfast and dinner in the mulberry restaurant. The dinner (5 course set menu) overall was excellent, the celeriac and truffle soup was really nice, I echo other reviewers slight gripe that the rolls could have been warm, but that's being fairly picky as the rolls were nice. The 2nd course of pressed duck was a little bland and very small indeed, acceptable. Main of trout was excellent, very tender and tasty, couldn't fault it. Chocolate cake dessert was also nice without blowing me or my partner away, the final course being tea or coffee, as others have mentioned tea and coffee is not a course in my books, yes you get petite fours but it's still not a course so it is a 4 course meal and at £60 per head is very expensive. Overall very happy with the meal, probably just about constitutes the price but with drinks came to nearly £200 for 2 people so you won't have a cheap meal If you choose this option. In addition we had the breakfast the following morning which was very nice, cooked to order, would have like beans with the cooked breakfast but that's just a personal view. Overall very happy with my experience.

We stayed at the hotel overnight, and our package included had a 5 course menu in the evening. We also decided to have the paired wine flight for each course.Shortly after getting the menu, we were served some bacon and poppy seed bread rolls. These were nice but would have been better if they had been warmed up rather than served cold. The dinner started with butternut squash soup which was nice but was quite watery, so it could have been a little thicker. The butternut squash flavour alone is a little weak, and it needed something extra to give the flavour a bit of a kick. I then had the ham hock terrine which was beautifully presented, and very tasty. A fillet of salmon followed, and this was lovely. Perfectly cooked with crispy skin, and full of flavour, it was really good. For dessert I had a pear tart with pear ice cream which I really enjoyed. We finished the meal with coffee and petit four. The accompanying wine for each course wasn't great. We had a choice of 2 different dishes for each course, but the same wine was served for both. This occasionally led to having a wine that didn't really suit the food.Service was a little hit and miss. On the whole, the front of house team were very friendly and polite, but at times it was a little slow. For one of the courses we had to wait for the wine to be poured after the food had already been served, and as the plates were cleared away from that course, the wine for the following course was poured. We then had a 20 minutes wait for the food. It's small details like this that may hinder the Mulberry Restaurant from climbing up to the next rung on the restaurant accolade ladder.£60 for 5 courses, but that includes the coffee which shouldn't really be classed as a course, so 4 courses really. With the first course being a relatively plain soup, I'd say the value for money was about OK.It was a very pleasant meal but let down a little by the service, wine selection, and cold bread rolls. Overall though, worthy of the 3 AA Rosette status.

what a treasure brilliant attention to detail from the very moment of contact this was a surprise booked by my daughter who was recommended by word of mouth from the moment she made the booking they listened to her very specific requests that she knew would make my evening a truly special occasion. we were greeted warmly and shown to I think the best table in the room I was addressed by name and given a gift another friend had had delivered there. offered an aperitif, water, canapés beautifully hand made bread selection an intriguing menu, food which was presented immaculately and service which was perfectly attentive yet discrete just as I would expect my expections were exceeded it was truly an incredibly experience. chefs creations outstanding quality of food the very best. The high light was that we were able to retire to a wonderful cosy drawing room with heart warming fire and indulge in our final course. Thank you espically to Tristan who made us feel like royalty and to all the staff for their exceptional service I will never forget this birthday we coming back soon to try the 7 course menu .

There was not a huge choice on the menu ( approx six choices of main course) and there were some unusual dishes but we enjoyed trying them and were very happy with our choices. The restaurant was very calm with efficient and helpful staff. It overlooks the lovely gardens. We felt that £50 for three courses was quite good value, given the quality.

Beautiful old tudor style building down a country lane. Restaurant smart, overlooking the old fashioned garden and duck pond, with unobtrusive but attentive waiting staff. We went in January when the weather was very poor, which made the access road (already in very poor condition) almost impassable. The food was ok and good value, but not worth going out of your way for. The restaurant itself seemed in need of minor refurbishment & the wall decorations didn't qualify as art in our opinion.

We booked in here for my birthday lunch, it was simply 1st class from start to finish.. Excellent staff need a special mention, polite, professional and smart. We have now eaten in pretty much every restaurant on business/pleasure in the Horley/Crawley area and without doubt this is the best.. This time it was lunch and last time evening meal, both were faultless....The building is Tudor and has a small well kept garden, great for having a drink or afternoon tea..We will be back again soon...

Booked Sunday lunch here at langshott manor for my mums birthday.Hotel and restaurant are beautiful. We were sat on a table over looking the lake. We had looked at the menu online and more or less picked what we would have, when we got there they told us the menu changes every week, so this would need to be updated on website every week. Food was amazing only thing I would say is the portions are very small and if you order the roast beef you need to say how u want it cooked as ours came very rare. Now my only nit pick is we had booked for our mums birthday not one person said anything about it.

Beautifully produced, executed and presented food but the portion size would certainly not make you fat......just a little on the mean size. The flavours were really exquisite and worth taking the time to savour. The wine list not cheap but not unreasonably priced and happily wine by the glass as well as by the bottle. Do go and enjoy the food at the Mulberry Restaurant but don't be surprised at the portion sizes. And if the proprietors read this review perhaps they could think about providing a little more food!!

Beautifully presented tasty food, interesting menu, helpful, attentive service. Not many other diners unfortunately - but it was January. When we asked a question about the menu that the waiter could not answer, he asked the chef. The portion sizes suited us well, so we were able to manage 3 courses. We liked the vegetable accompaniments to our main courses, and extra tasters given at the start of the meal.Overall we both rated our dining experience in the restaurant positively, we had high expectations and were not disappointed.

We arrived having travelled through floods, traffic jams and fallen trees to a warm and friendly welcome. The service was attentive but not too formal.
