Lou served us and was brilliant with customer service. Definitely be back again.

When we walked in everything was good although there were lots of children . Perhaps it would be good to try and separate large families from the diners without children? The service was good but it seemed that the food was quantity over quality? The vegetables were almost puréed rather than mashed, the potatoes were not freshly cooked but heated up and tasted so. The venison was a tad over cooked. So., lots of quantity but the quality could have been e!

Annie was fantastic. Welcoming and understanding!

Ordered the pie and mash and it was delicious with a great parsley sauce, would highly recommend. Lou’s service was amazing and will definitely be back

Lou was nice and accommodating very nicely out requests.

We ate here recently and it was awful. The mashed potato was not fresh and reheated and unseasoned. We sent it back and the same mash came back out with salt on it, even though we were told it was a fresh batch that was made in 7 minutes. The bread on the sandwiches was stale. We received a full refund and will never visit again.

You would think that they could offer more than frozen chips with my Sunday Soecial of grilled Plaice ( so small should have been put back in sea! ) So Disappointed -New Potatoes not on menu !

The food was really tasty traditional food. We ate Roast portions and they were very reminiscent of Finnish traditional food in terms of taste. However, the restaurant also has a large selection of other dishes. The service was a bit stiff, but overall the runnel was ok!

Attended the Paint and Sip night, and had such a great evening! Manon and Franky were such wonderful hosts, really encouraging and helpful throughout the evening. I loved that you were able to follow a theme and the painting that was made for demonstration but also do your own thing. It was so well organised and presented beautifully when we arrived. The drinks and food we got were all very nice too. Overall a lovely experience and I hope they do another one!

Amazing service, atmosphere and food. The food is especially worth the price and the sharing roast was wonderful and extremely filling. Franky was especially a pleasure to be our server and both me and my family enjoyed our meal thoroughly.

Reallt great, atmosphere was nice, we had a lovely table inside but with loads of natural light. Great kids meal, my pick son ate nearly all of it to our shock. We also thoroughly enjoyed our meals. All the staff were so friendly and nice and great with our 4 year old, especially Franky our server, she was awesome. Would definitely recommend and come again 🙂

I've spotted this lovely place driving by from time to time over the years, and finally had the time to stop today and see what it's all about, a lovely comfortable place to be at. Only went for a drink but the food menu looks amazing and I will be back to try very soon!

A friendly pub with excellent service and very good food. The garden area is quite spacious and the pub is conveniently located close to Redhill train station (though discreetly back from the main road).

Came here for Sunday lunch with my family. We were a large group and added two more when we arrived. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Massive shout out to Manon who served us with a smile despite us being an awkward table

Soulless Young's pub where ordering a pint is a genuine inconvenience for the staff. The bartenders wear expressions of barely concealed misery, their faces a study in disillusionment as if every pint pulled is another nail in the coffin of their dwindling enthusiasm. Their movements are so lethargic you wonder if they've all been collectively diagnosed with a neurological wasting disease. They serve you with all the warmth of a frozen fish, making you feel less like a valued customer and more like an unwelcome interruption in their endless, joyless shift.

Had a roast dinner with family. The amount of meat we got was too small. Some of the beef was inedible and too much gravy. Gravy would be better served separately. Expensive for what we got

Went a couple of weeks ago and had a great time with my family. Our waiter Adam was incredibly attentive - fantastic service and atmosphere!

This is our local. The staff are great , especially Chris, he is always cheerful and nothing is too much trouble for him.

I came in a while ago with some friends and had a lovely evening, Adam was great - very attentive and speedy.

We hosted an event at home cottage. Poppy and the team were lovely, very attentive, and food was well presented and punctual. AV was all good too, very helpful crowd.

Nice roast here on Sunday. Franky was a great Host, along with the manager. Food was of a high quality. Credit to the kitchen staff. Great portion size too. Been here a few times and never had a bad experience.

Dropped in for a drink and the opening game of the Euros, lovely garden to the rear and landlord v accommodating finding us seats inside to enjoy the game. Great Young's ales on the hand pump. Sunday roast did look V nice and restaurant area in conservatory looked V comfortable so go and enjoy now summer's arrived!

We visited the home cottage today for Father's day. The atmosphere was great and the waitresses were wonderful. We chose to have the Roast Dinner. The roast was cooked to perfection and there was plenty on the plate. Our waitress was Annie, she was polite, professional and friendly and greeted us with a smile. Before we ordered we were asked if we had any allergies. Annie was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely recommend the home cottage to anyone especially the roast.

Not been in a while, but will be back soon for sure. Very pleasant evening, The fish and chips was fab, light crunchy batter, fish tasted moist and fresh and the chips were perfect. Chicken bacon and leek pie was delicious too.

Always great food and service by Franky was first rate. Slightly lacking in atmosphere as we were there on a Monday evening but on the plus side we could hold a conversation.

I've been in the pub trade thirty years. I've worked for Youngs, and at that time, I wasn't a fan of working culture. Love this pub, Youngs Special is a fantastic pint. Food is always what you expect. Lovely little pub , staff always friendly. Not bad prices either, in this crazy world of greed from pub companies.

Fantastic afternoon at Home Cottage - group of 23 of us for a wedding celebration. Poppy and her team were so accommodating and really made our day special. The food was outstanding from start to finish with a wide variety of options for everyone including very good gluten free options. 100% recommend.

My sister (and now brother in law) had a wedding here 1 year ago. I couldn’t flaw it from start to finish. They had the most amazing day and consistently bring up how 10/10 the staff were. Thank you so much we constantly recommend this place to everyone!

Barman Adam was fantastic and very hospitable. A good fun bar and great service.

Went for the pub quiz which was great fun. Was served by Adam who was really friendly and made great cocktails.

Poppy and her team couldn't have done more for us. Went in for a work lunch, they were happy to add an additional person late on. The waiting staff were really attentive and the food was delicious. For such a busy lunch period with Christmas lunches going on, they were so prompt and professional.

Had a brilliant server called Violet. So genuine and sweet and made sure we were well accustomed to. The food and atmosphere was also fantastic will definitely recommend👍🏼.

2nd visit and just as good as the 1st time. Adam is an incredible host. Chris and Ronnie both poured exceptional pints of Guinness. Lovely friendly vibe - you’ll do well to find a better pub and experience in the area.

A very pleasant experience. Food was very good. Maybe a little expensive but this is London. The waitress Manon was by far the highlight of the dining experience. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Pub was very clean, quiet and it had a friendly feeling about it. The menu has something for eryone.

Great as always. Chicken roasts were brilliant. Beef was a little flavourless and the gravy had a strange consistency. Lovely place as always though and Jess the server was spot on, very helpful and very attentive. She made the visit very worthwhile

Another fab lunch at the cottage. We love the place, the service and also the food.

It was unfortunately a sad experience due to a lack of staff and chaotic arrangements for seating. Initially we were placed in the bar and not the restaurant. When we tried to order at the bar we were told that we wouldn’t be able to unless we had an app for the appropriate brewery. We were then moved into the restaurant but had to move again as the table we were offered needed to be laid for the following morning. So in a virtually empty restaurant we were squashed on a table against a corner wall. Regretfully we were informed they had been very busy at lunch time and so there were many dishes off the menu. At that point we decided to call it a day.

We went for lunch at the Home Cottage and were served by Franky. She was very pleasant, friendly and efficient. The food was well presented, tasty and hot.

I found this venue by chance and I am so glad I did. I was struggling to find somewhere to accommodate my son’s 18th party until I found The Home Cottage. The communication from the team was fantastic from start to finish. The function room was absolutely perfect to hold his party. I can honestly say what a credit to the pub the whole team were on the night. They were very attentive, made my son, my family and his friends feel so welcome. We even ran out of food, possibly forgetting how much teenagers eat (my fault)! However, it was not a problem as the chefs went out of their way to supply more food for which we were really grateful. A fantastic pub with a great atmosphere. Thank you all so much for making my son’s night so special.

Barney served us at the bar and he was really friendly and chatty. At my request he told us about a range of mocktails and non alcoholic options, which was fab! The atmosphere was lovely and my drink delicious. I’ll definitely be coming again - great place to hang out and meet up with friends.
