The pub is in such a lovely spot with a bustling, lively atmosphere but that is where the positives end. Visited during a Sunday lunchtime service today and was faced initially with a barman literally yawning in my face as he begrudgingly took my order. When the food finally arrived the pizza and garlic bread were the worst examples you could imagine - school dinners came to mind. The rest of our meals did little to raise the bar and, given the prices, it was a wholly disappointing experience. Little love in the place and we won’t be returning. A shame because it is in such a great location.

It was very busy due we think to 1/2 term, a little of high tables and bar type stools, these are not suitable for everyone, so we struggled to find a table. Food was nice, hot and bug portions. Didn’t have a pudding but had a nice cocktail. Staff seemed really friendly. Its in a great location with a great view over the marina

We had a lovely meal - steak pie and chilli beef salad. Service and wait were acceptable but couldn't believe the state of the plate that my salad was served on. Several chips around the side of the dish. At home I would've thrown the dish long ago. Not sure how hygienic this is. I'm sure that either the kitchen porter unloading the dish washer or the person plating the food must've seen this.

We were looked after so well by Deb and her team when we held our mother’s funeral tea in the upper floor function room. Deb personally greeted all of the family and friends who were able to use the lift to the upper floor. The staff were professional, non intrusive and friendly. The food did not disappoint and although it was a very poignant day we felt we could not have given our mum a better send off in a stunning location. Thanks so much to Deb and her team.

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The location is amazing overlooking all the boats in the marina. The food was even better at a good price you get a good serving size. 5 of us went, two had the classic burger and chips which they said the burgers were lovely and juicy. One had a chicken burger and chips which they also enjoyed. One had a veggie burger and chips which they said it’s the best veggie burger they’d ever had and I had a roast beef sandwich and chips which also came with a pot of gravy. All the meals came with a fresh coleslaw. The chips were perfect and the beef sandwich was to die for. The venue is lovely and clean. It has a very cosy feel on the inside. They offer outdoor seating as well which overlooks the marina, although it can get quite cold and windy out there. The staff were lovely and friendly. To order you go up to the bar and they’ll bring the food to the table but drinks you have to get yourself at the bar. They offer a good range of cocktails as well as standard beers, ciders and soft drinks. They’re also dog friendly. If I lived closer I’d go regularly as it was an amazing experience. I cannot recommend it enough.

Visited for an evening meal, the food was the worst I’ve ever had anywhere, and I paid £110 for the privilege. Raw dough on pizza, you could literally see through it and sadly, it was a young child who had eaten half before I realised. My pizza was overcooked and chewy. The crispy beef in the tacos was burnt beyond recognition and the burger patty is a frozen one. Given the prices you pay for this place, it’s quite shocking. Credit where credit is due, the seating area outside is beautiful and the staff are great. They kindly offered to take a pizza off the bill which I appreciate. A place for drinks in the sun, this is your place. If you want good food, please stay well away. I’ve genuinely had better food in a cookhouse pub which is worrying.

Consistently good service, food, drinks and ambience. I own a boat on the marina and I’m in here twice a week. The young team are very friendly and are very patient towards their customers - who I observe can be quite a challenge. I’ve eaten off the breakfast and lunch menu many times and it’s always been fine. Ignore the ‘it’s pricey’ comments. The food is good value and given the recent years of labour and raw materials price increases, I think the place has done well to stay competitive. Keep up the good work 👍

We have always loved the Mulberry and have been visiting for years. Unfortunately recently to celebrate my parents anniversary. There were 6 of us including 2 children (which we have found challenging recently finding a table that will accommodate a pram too). We found a table in the area indoors where dogs are allowed (we love dogs and completely understand this was an area for dogs), there were two groups of people with dogs where the dogs started barking at each other which was non stop. Our daughter was starting to cry because it was so loud, neither of the groups acknowledged our daughter being so upset so we decided to leave. Luckily we had not ordered our meal at this point. On this day, it wouldn't have mattered where you were sitting the barking would have been so loud anywhere in the restaurant. We were awhile in the carpark and could still hear them parking from there. For us, it is a treat coming to this restaurant but from now on we will have to rethink our choice of using the Mulberry now there are many barriers to eating here with a family rather than it being a stress free experience.

We called in on the off chance and stopped for lunch. You can’t book a table in advance as it’s a walk-in system which can mean that it can be a struggle to get seated, especially when it’s busy. It’s a Robinson pub and the menu has a good selection of the usual pub food. I had scampi and chips which was a reasonable portion but lukewarm. My husband had rump steak and really enjoyed his meal. Overall good value when compared to other local establishments.

Ideal place for drinks especially in summer with a lovely seating area outside. Great menu with lots of different options but overpriced for the quality. Had a philly beef sandwich and it came with 2 small slices of beef, just a drop of cheese sauce and approx 3 slices of peppers!! I had this exact meal at Mulberry a few months ago and it was a lot better .. a very full sandwich, nicely cut steak pieces and a load of cheese sauce! Disappointed with my meal this time for the price .. approx £30 for 2 sandwiches that were just very basic standard !

I wanted this to be so much better, there is no separate gluten free menu and when ordering my club sandwich meal I asked if gluten free was available and was told yes, no further information given. So I carried on with my order. The club sandwich was described as a triple layer of chicken bacon lettuce tomato and mayo. To my horror a small bun arrived with a couple of pieces of bacon and chicken with salad, when I questioned it the waitress said ‘that’s all the gluten free bread we do is the small bun’ so I’m charged exactly the same price for this tiny meal absolutely ridiculous!! Was told a manager would come and speak to me but the never showed even when reminding a member of staff. Absolutely would never go back here.

Save you're money. The location is amazing,,, as for the food, any restaurant that serves McCain frozen chips doesnt deserve to be called a restaurant. Now you may wonder how I know they were McCain chips ,when asked how was the food by a server (the clue was neither of us had eaten most of the food) ,I said the chips tasted cheap and tasteless and that maybe they were from Iceland? the lady came back from the kitchen and informed me the chips were not from iceland ,, they were McCain chips, as if that were a good thing. Disappointing that such a lovely venue is serving such poor quality food at £15 for a chicken burger with chips.

We popped in for lunch and I ordered the gammon steak and my partner ordered the chicken burger. The staff were disinterested to say the least and when the food arrived it was pretty shocking. The gammon was miniscule and predominantly fat, a handful of oven chips and peas. The chicken burger was a very small piece of overcooked chicken breast with a thick coating something that appeared to mimic breadcrumbs. There was a small squirt of mayonnaise on it and a lettuce leaf as a salad dressing along with a handful of oven chips. It was expensive and not a good experience at all and we will not be returning or recommending.

The view is spectacular. A beautiful setting for a pub. Unfortunately The Mulberry relies on this rather than service. We visited the pub twice in a couple of weeks, the first time for food, which we ate outdoors. We enquired (as we heard many doing) if we could eat inside as it was raining slightly on and off and not the warmest of days. The staff told the customers that they only open inside or outside each day and today was outside. When asked how they make that decision, they said they just decide in the morning and stick to it. It would be much more effective if limited staffing, to open both but limit the number of tables. The food is very basic pub food. Sandwiches, burgers or pizzas, with not a huge selection of any. On the second visit, the service was almost comical. We asked if we could have dinner and drinks, to which we were told the kitchen was closing in ten minutes, there wouldn’t be another table inside available in time and they don’t serve food outside. Strange, as I had eaten outside the week before. Another one of their make up as you go along rules. We sat down and a young girl came to take our drinks order. I asked for a glass of Merlot, to be told they didn’t sell Merlot. Again, I had it the week before, so knew they did! I asked if I could please have a Cabernet Sauvignon and my partner ordered a lager. Then another waitress came and said the girl couldn’t remember what wine I ordered. I explained that as there wasn’t a Merlot, I’d like a Cabernet Sauvignon. The waitress said there was Merlot and didn’t know why the girl had said that. Then the original girl came back and said they don’t do Cabernet Sauvignon by the glass so I’d need to order a bottle. At this point I thought, fine. We’ll take the remainder home. Then our drinks arrived. I was brought a Sauvignon Blanc. I explained to the third waitress that I ordered a Cabernet Sauvignon. She asked how this was different. I explained the difference between one being a red and one being a white wine. Eventually the red wine was brought out, in a wine cooler, which was very chilled. Needless to say, the Mulberry are relying on the views more than the service or quality of food or drinks. It’s a shame because it’s a lovely setting, just a shame about the service.

We love to walk from Conwy to the marina and the Mulberry is a little pit stop and a place to stop and take in the views. We 'tolerate' the awful service because we like the view and there is nowhere else around there; if there was we would not give them our patronage. The staff are just so vacant in their roles and there is no drinks menu for drink offerings and no prices either. They only offer a menu after midday apparently. Also worth noting to check your bill because a couple of people had been overcharged.Use the place for what it is, expect the poor service and just enjoy the views!

At that moment the table next to us had their food delivered! Third time lucky, we asked again if we could order some food only to be told that our waitress would be over. By 12.25 we were fed up. Food was being brought out to many other tables while we hadn’t even managed to place an order. The food might be good but we couldn’t even get to try it! A very disappointing visit which we won’t be repeating.

As we wanted to eat we were asked to wait outside at a table and would be called once one was available. No sooner had someone asked what we’d like to drink we were shown to a table inside. My friend ordered a burger with no Mayo, which came with Mayo. Once this was brought to the attention of staff they rectified it immediately, replacing it with a new one and my friend commented the whole plate of food was piping hot. Very disappointed! Visited last Thursday for drinks and a meal. Arrived early expecting to queue, as walk-ins only. Shown to table at 7:15pm (checked in on NHS (screenshot attached). Given menu and cutlery. Ignored by staff and had to ask to order drinks, etc. Young man said that he would send someone to the table. No-one came so we asked again and our order was eventually taken.Drinks arrived. Then another member of staff came to say that we were too late with our food order as last orders were at 7:45pm (food service currently ended at 8pm). We said that we had been shown to our table at 7:15. Another staff member was extremely rude and said that we had only just arrived! She offered to check the CCTV (which clearly she didn‘t do) then returned reiterating that we were lying about our arrival time.We didn’t finish our drinks and left in disgust. The worst part of the event was that I was told to “f*** off” by the staff member when I pointed out that she was still in the wrong!A pleasant young lady who was standing near reception offered to find a manager but we were so appalled that we just wanted out.

Really surprised by the reviews here. We went around 6pm and loved the fact we didn’t have to book. Inside was spacious with lovely decor. The staff were lovely and attentive and so helpful. They had a really clear allergy file as some our our party are affected and were happy to amend or suggest alterations in light of this. It wasn’t too much trouble at all. We had a really tasty meal and would definitely return. They have a great pirate ship play area which the kids loved. Thanks for a great meal with excellent service.

Dreadful food and the service wasn’t much better. Waited outside for a table to become available, 1 person ahead of us but at least 3 other tables went in before. Disappointing experience considering the beautiful surroundings.

We came to visit the marina and managed to get a table on the patio overlooking the marina. No pre-booking allowed so was lucky to get a table and there was a queue to get in as we were leaving. Friendly staff waiting on, food very reasonably priced we thought and drinks too seeing as it’s in a good location. Plenty of parking and dogs allowed.

Absolutely disgusting service... you go in for a drink and meal with you family and children. And you will have all the staff before you have even ordered your food or drink taking pictures of your registration on your cars! You havnt even recieved anything from them when this happens! They are very happy for you to go in and spend money on meals and a drink and then they will ring the police after 1 drink soon as you pay your bill!! But for you to to take pictures before anything has happened is slander!! And shouldn't be allowed to have your reg of your cars on staffs mobile phones!! Staff have nothing better today, the mangers have also let this happen and clearly done nothing about it. Disgusting behaviour, watch out for the staff guys

First time visiting but unfortunately won't be returning. Positives (not many): Our waitress was kind, great view and nice decor.Cons: Arrived to try and get a table (they don't do bookings) and were told to go upstairs to sit, nobody showed us to our table. Ordered a sharing nachos plate to start. The nachos were overcooked (burnt) and we'd paid extra for what was a tiny amount of pulled pork. Mains were a burger and cheesy garlic bread and loaded chips. My garlic bread dough was completely raw in the middle and the loaded chips were a small serving of french fries with a tiny bit of grated cheese and bacon. A rip off and certainly not loaded. Sent the garlic bread back and the waitress agreed it was raw and it was taken off our bill. My partner complained that the burger was made from poor quality meat and did not taste very nice and was told that there are never any complaints about the burger and given a shrug. I've had better food from a kebab for half the price.

Me and my partner left visiting the Mulberry until our last night visiting Conwy as I had eaten there a few years before and it was lovely. Very surprised at the substandard food this time. My pizza was raw on the bottom. Ordered one of the speciality fries and it was just dumped with cheese and bacon on the top - even a takeaway at 1am serves cheesy chips with more finesse! My partner ordered the halloumi and mushroom burger - the halloumi was hardly visible…so he had a greasy mushroom burger - far from ideal. We told the waiter and we’re offered a complimentary drink (or at least we think we were but it wasn’t made clear) but it was all a little too late for us and we just wanted to leave and make up for the disappointment elsewhere. We were also worried that after ordering we would be presented with the card machine again. My partner said there were alarm bells from the beginning and I suppose it was odd to have to pay for your food before you actually ate or drank a single thing. The food also arrived within 5 mins of us ordering it. Probably just about enough time to microwave it all. And throw ingredients on top of each other. I’ve spent longer in a drive through at Macdonald’s but at least that ended without disappointment and a significantly smaller charge on my card. These guys are capitalising on people coming back out after the pandemic and rushing orders through to meet demand later in the service. Poor show and lazy attitude. If you want this kind of meal get yourself to Wetherspoons and pay £5 for a beer and burger - you won’t feel resentment and it may arrive cooked. There’s only so much the view can cover guys…do better, it’s a smaller menu than Spoons - surely you can figure out how long a pizza takes to cook all the way through?

Called in on spec and asked to make our way to a seat and wait to be served. Lots of waitresses cleaning but the one male server was nowhere to be seen. After 10 mins he arrived. Asked what soup of the day was which totally flummoxed him. He said he would go and ask but wandered off first to escort some women into the restaurant, then disappeared presumably to serve someone else. 7 mins later still no sign so we got up and left. What got to me was the lack of respect - he just couldn't have cared less. Won't be back in a hurry.

Location is great by the marina but found it very cold outside with the wind even though it was a sunny day. Unfortunately they didn't open the inside so was unable to get out of the wind and couldn't wait to leave and get inside another warm pub. Food was ok but menu was a bit limited for me.

We visited here today and the atmosphere and drinks were good. Unfortunately we found a hair in one of the meals which was grey and none of us have this colour hair. We then reported it to staff and we were put off by this. The staff member was apologetic but offered us nothing as compensation which I thought would have been the case in this instance. Drinks were nice

Love the Mulberry for its views, but the past few times we've been there we've had issues getting food. Last night we were sat and told there would be a wait, which we were happy with, before we then heard a server saying there was no food. When we eventually spoke with someone, they were apologetic, but something needs sorting! :)

I went for some dinner last night with a friend. Lucky we went when we did as they ran out of food just after we ordered. This was at around 7:15pm. My friend ordered a pint but was only given a half, which was odd. When our food came, it was wetherspoons standard. Maybe worse actually. The brioche bun of my burger was hard and stale. Frozen fries and presumably shop bought coleslaw? I feel for £13 for a burger, the fries could be home made etc. Such a shame, this place could be amazing. Probably wont return. Sad face

I went with a group and chose not to eat but others did. What's the soup of the day? Didnt know.Half Pepsi, pint comes. Friend said ordered half, grunt going to ignore. I said you'll only charge him for a half won't you. No he took iit away and poured it down the sink and brought a half. Presumambly policy.I counted at least 5 of the greeting / serving staff all wearing "I am exempt from wearing a face covering" badges. Strange so many of the young staff so affected and in a public facing role. The one taking my order was right over me and I asked her to step back and she moved a few inces before returning. One behind the bar weaing a mask had it round her chin.I felt really uncomfortale, and later went to my usual pub for a pint in a more relaxing and covid safe environment.

Agree with most of the reviews on here , the staff do not have a clue. We asked for a drinks menu 'I don't know, I'm new' was the response. We asked what cakes were on offer 'I don't actually know' the next response. I had to ask him to go and find out. He came out with all the cakes on offer in his hand. Coffee was dreadful, was spilt all over the saucers. Management: you really need to take the time to work with these youngsters you're employing. You cannot expect them to just be able to deliver customer service. And the coffee you're offering is not upto standard. If we didn't feel sorry for the staff, we'd have asked for a refund.

Went for a quiet early evening drink , it was a bit chilly so asked if we could sit inside to be told only if you eat, decided it was too cool to sit out thought we would have a snack , menu was so over priced changed our minds and put on our coats finished our drinks and left , not as if all the tables were taken , we weren't prepared to end up with a bill of probably close to £40 plus, as we left there were no customers sat outside but im sure more woukd have stayed longer if allowed indoors just for a drink , very disappointed, we go here on a regular basis but will think twice about calling here again

Really enjoyed our meal as the staff were friendly, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. The only thing that confused me, and others customers from what I saw, is that payments were taken before we had eaten, which I thought was strange. Another couple was asked to pay while still eating and rightly refused to. Would return to this restaurant though as I couldn’t complain at the view of the harbour. Thank you.

Visited twice with our Labrador. Very dog friendly (dogs allowed inside and out). We sat outside as the weather was lovely. Great view of the marina. Food on both evenings was lovely and inexpensive. Nice staff and seemed to be enough staff working to ensure we and other customers were not kept waiting for drinks and food. Would definitely recommend and we will visit again.

We visited while staying in Conwy. The food was excellent. We ordered crispy hash brown bites for start, a Deep South chicken burger and a spicy meat feast burger for main and For dessert we ordered caramel apple pie and a cheesecake. Service was good and price was good considering some of the inflated prices in North Wales. Would definitely return. We sat on a r tree able which was cleaned before use and overlooked the marina with a beer.

We had a few days break away to Conwy as planned to climb mount Snowdon. After a 5 hour journey we googled restaurants in the area and came across The Mulberry. Although the view was beautiful, we were massively let down by the food. We were left waiting for our food after 45 mins of ordering. We were advised that this was due to a table of 10 that had booked which we naturally forgave. Mine and my partners steak came, it was cold, tasteless and fatty. We both agreed that we didn’t feel that it was a stirloin. Our complaint was dealt with very well by Sarah and we were given a refund. Later on that evening my son had vomited in his sleep and woke up again later with being sick again with food poisoning. He had eaten nachos with cream and a pepperoni pizza. Not only was this horrible for my son as food poisoning is awful but this was a nightmare as he was sick all over the bed in the air b and b which stained the sheets and the mattress. I had around 4 hours sleep with having to clean and wash everything which meant that we were unable to climb Mount Snowdon the next day and I had to cancel the dog Walker that we had arranged. I had called The Mulberry and after many times of calling someone answered. Again, Sarah was very apologetic and dealt with the complaint well. We were expecting a call back from her manager but never got the call. Very disappointing and such a shame for such a lovely location.

We had come to Conwy to see what to expect for my delayed special birthday get together from 2020. The Mulberry at present are not taking bookings. So we wanted to see how things may operate in July for us when we are getting together for my birthday. There was a small queue. How ever this was bank holiday Monday. We were only the two of us and a newborn baby. We didn't wait long. Meet and greet staff were friendly and very efficient. We hardly waited at all for our order to be taken. And food arrived within 20 minutes. We had the scampi. Delicious.Waitress was very chatty and was happy to help us in any way.Covid rules in place. We felt very safeThanks for a lovely visit. It was our first outing Out.Hope to see you in July with our extended family and friendsIf rules permit

Rude waiting on staff! so upset & disappointed tonight. My family and I purposely stayed in Conwy tonight, so we could visit the Mulberry. I have seen so many lovely photos and always wanted to eat here. Sadly it was our first and last visit!!!!Table booked for 7.30pm. It was busy when we sat down. We ordered drinks. Waited a long time. Had to ask where they are. The waiter then took our food order. Food arrived over cooked veg & portion size less than a happy meal size chips. Had to ask for them to be reordered. Plates taken away and waiter came back with card machine. He said to us, “can you pay now? “ We said we hadn’t finished and would like to order dessert. He said, you can’t, kitchen closed! We asked why l? He said they shut at 8pm! This was 8.30 after we had finished our mains. I said no one told us the kitchen shuts at 8pm! He said to me, “well you never asked”!!!!!!!! I couldn’t believe his attitude. I complained later to the manager Debbie and she defended him. She said, we were busy tonight s d take payment before people finish, in case they walk off! We weren’t sitting outside, we we’re inside. My family and I were utterly appalled by the whole experience. It’s definitely not worth a visit despite location. The staff couldn’t care and the food was tasteless, overpriced & disappointing. The service really needs to go back to school & learn some manners. So disappointed Mulberry. I will share my experience in completely the opposite way you would expect.

We enjoyed the food - more bar type food than anything else eg burgers, nachos, salads etc but it was good, and ok value overall. Certainly not fine dining but that’s ok. Great cocktails I’d question their approach to Covid...we witnessed many guests getting up and moving around without face masks without challenge.

We called in on the off chance, it was busy but we only had to wait a few minutes. We could only sit outside and the wind was brisk. The menu was limited but the food looked tasty as it came out for others. We ordered some drinks, the service was fast and with a smile despite the cold. The view overlooking the marina makes it all worthwhile, lovely to see people out and about again.

Family of 4 looking forward to the food but was disappointed. Fish n chips… fish was akin to frozen served with the tiniest pot of mush peas and chips were just okay. My son ordered Halloumi n mushroom burger but asked for the mushroom to be removed due to diet intolerance, waitress said yes we can do that however it arrived with mushroom and was told ‘they can’t remove it because it’s prepared in the morning. Meal cost circa £120 with 2 rounds of drinks inc G&T’s.

I am gluten-free but arrived after the jacket potatoes had all been sold… Little chef Mo was a hero and cooked some chips which are gluten-free in a separate pan for me especially! The rest of the family had Panini‘s, a pizza and ham, egg and chips and all loved it. If you’ve been here sometime ago, then you’ll be glad to hear that it’s had a revamp and it looks really clean and tidy now and very smart well worth a visit.
