Muffin Break in Glasgow City

Popped in for coffee and a sandwich and discovered they do afternoon tea! I'll definitely be back with my daughter.

Had coffee and Muffin, in Muffin Break today. It is under new management now. New owner Vikram has kept up excellent standards if cleanliness and quality. The lovely Fraser was so friendly, as well as amazingly wonderful service.

Manager was rude, they wouldn't accept codes from their app, but would still ask me if I wanted to order something instead (paying, of course). The staff did not seem happy at all with their work. On another occasion I saw plates unwashed and hair on their plates.

I'm out by myself for the first time since breaking my leg 2 months ago, and not only did I get a delicious vegan muffin, but the service was truly outstanding! I sadly didn't get the name of the lovely member of staff (they were wearing a white head covering/scarf), but they helped me pick the perfect muffin and then carried the tray over to my chosen table and helped me settle in (it's a nightmare with crutches!). I honestly can't thank you enough for making this such an easy, lovely experience!

Terry's orange hot chocolate and the purple one hot chocolate were to die for. Lovely staff and atmosphere. Cheesecake was lovely and fresh.

Biggest flat white in Glasgow. So many great wee cakes. All home made and a nice chilled place to sit.

I visited Muffin Break with my wife. I ordered raspberry and white chocolate muffin. It was very tasty. Additionally, the staff member was friendly.

UNHYGIENIC...Was a regular...won't be back since I saw waitress clear table outside , of crumbs , with brush being used to sweep floor!!!

Came in for coffee and milk shake. Cake. Coffee was OK. Cake was far too sweet for me & expensive at £3.50 a slice. Milk shake was good

great place.great food.great staff .tidy&clean staff very helpful as i have a walker they carried my tray of food&drink to my table for me.

Friendly and fast service, Tortillia and Blueberry Muffins as well as Duffin were delicious. Double espresso was good quality for the price. Would recommend.

Visited for cold drinks, which were delicious. Service was amazing. Big shout out to Frank for his cheery banter. We will be back. :)

It's my favourite place love the muffins

We visited here for afternoon tea. The cake stand has some sandwiches, then a scone, mini muffin, a strawberry, half a shortbread & tray bake each. We also had some coffee too. It was ok, I wouldn’t rush back to have afternoon tea but maybe go for lunch. I will say that our server was lovely, however the male server who was dealing with the elderly couple next to us was extremely rude. The male server asked from the front of the shop about an order, we could just hear something about a sandwich…then he walked up and down and went to tables to ask if it was their order. He got to the elderly couple and asked them, it was their order. They said sorry and that they didn’t heard him. His reply to them was so cheeky!!! I felt awkward & wanted to apologise to the couple on his behalf. This male seemed he was mid 30s….Please show some respect!

I went to this restaurant yesterday. The order was a halloumi tomato sandwich with pesto sauce. I was very disappointed. The employee held the salad with her hand, she did not use a tool or gloves, the bread was moist, as if it was not fresh. I hope when I try it next time it will be better. Five stars aren't enough. These are elite tier muffins. Soft and fluffy and moist without being overly sweet, with fresh ingredients and tons of all natural flavour. You'll never want another Starbucks or Costa muffin ever again.

The carrot cake was soooo good! The cake itself was moist and tasted fresh. The frosting was sweet but not too overwhelmingly.

Coincidentally found. Great selection of delicious muffins. -Sorry, I had already eaten something in the picture ;-) - The coffee was perfect. The service was super friendly and very quick. The tables that became available were also cleaned immediately. Top!

As always a good cup of coffee. Only negative is I had to clear a table.

Macaroni & Cauliflower was delicious, as were the packed bacon and egg rolls, with the eggs cooked just perfect. Staff were polite, friendly, chatty and welcoming. And the atmosphere was lovely! Really enjoyed our visit here.

Lovely place, great staff & service. Only quibble is that I'd have preferred three different fillings in the afternoon tea like the first time we came rather than 4 the same and 2 different. I like that you can pay a £1 to change the tea for a fancy coffee too. We had a great time & I've booked another afternoon tea deal already for the summer. One of my mum & aunt's favourite places to go for a pot of tea & a snack. Their red velvet cake looks devine, I'll need to try that next time I pop by too.

Was in with my brother for some lunch. I ordered Mac n Cheese with salad, my brother had Salmon and cream Cheese Bagel with salad and crisp and we both had Bischoff Cheesecake (which was amazing) and soft drinks. The staff were very nice and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The only criticism was the price for the meal especially the drinks which you can get at the shops for £1 cost over double here. it certainly isn't a place you would go to every week to have lunch.

3 members of staff all serving different customers at the same time. Charged us for side salads without telling us and the crisps on the side were very stale.

Came to muffin break because the cakes looked great. I wasn't disappointed. The service was amazing and all the staff were extremely friendly. The roast coffee they use is clearly of a high standard. And the biscoff cheesecake was to die for. Would much rather give these guys my money that some big multinational corporation like Costa or Starbucks.

We have to give a massive thank you to Frank who not only served us yesterday but helped us find the local bathroom and went above and beyond in his customer service. He was so polite and friendly and just made our visit comfortable. The food was lovely and when something didn’t go to plan he was the first one to solve the issue and went out of his way to make sure we had a great visit.

The staff are lovley and efficient , even during the busy Christmas shopping period. It's well priced and the coffee is fabulous. I can't recommend the biscoff cheesecake enough.

Great service, went in expecting no options for gluten or dairy free and I was pleasantly surprised! Not only were there options but they were very tasty! Had a great few muffins and a tuna toastie, would definitely come back again.

Best muffins ever, £3.50 not so good but saying that I was going there once a week, now I can say we will never go again because I'm disgusted and sickened that they charge £2.40 for a can of Fanta, what a shameful thing to do.

Delicious lunch, lentil soup with a muffin to follow, of course. Staff were lovely and friendly. Toilet entry by key code. Quite noisy as open plan in shopping centre . A bit on the expensive side but very nice.

Called in for a quick take away coffee (which was lovely) but the reason I wanted to review this place was the brilliant customer service. I was served by a very friendly and efficient gentleman who was just great. Thank you for putting a smile on my face (as well as a coffee in my hand).

I had the chicken and ham tortilla slice with side salad and crisps and it was delicious! One of the nicest lunches I've had in ages and a very substantial portion as well. The coffee was also good quality. Everything is cooked on site. Staff are fantastic - fast and friendly. There was a very tempting selection of cakes and muffins too which I'm going to try next time.

I always seek this coffee shop out when I am shopping in the city centre. Guilty pleasure, coffee and one of their wonderful cakes/muffins. Friendly service now getting busy however there is tables outside.

On ground floor of centre Muffin Break was well worth the visit. Most amazing staff I've met in quite a while. Welcoming, helpful, smiling. Very busy which is not a surprise and staff made welcomed every single customer. Food and coffee were good but it is the staff who make this place.

Great customer service from Frank. I only came in to enquire about gluten free products and left buying an array of muffins. The store was clean and inviting. I would be back purely on the customer service.

Biscuff milkshake and peanuts butter are the best choices for milkshakes in the Café. Nice and kind staff where always there to help you out with a smile.

I loved the service and the welcome, and the place is nice and feels cozy. I ordered a cappuccino and it was good, and a biscuit with jam, and it tastes delicious, but it has no distinct flavour. I didn’t know what kind of flavour, but it was fresh and light. I ordered a delicious yummy yummy mozzarella sandwich, and my friend ordered a muffin with chocolate pieces, and it was fresh, but the taste was normal. I liked it. Sorry, but we find the taste in other places, but what we do not find is that it is fresh and light

We went there with a friend and had two muffins to take away and an iced tea. Even though the place looks good, the staff was not particularly nice to us as we struggle to understand what was being said with the mask. Moreover, the iced tea was in fact just some bottled Lipton... We were quite disappointed

A quick visit this afternoon Located within the st Enoch centre Staff friendly and professional Lovely well presented coffee with a range of cakes and snacks For me on this visit a large latte, double espresso and a little slice of mars cake whilst I wait. Nice stop for a coffee if your in the city Centre Plenty of seating within the cafe and in outside in the shopping centre (no outdoor seating) Good accessibility and looks wheelchair friendly All on the one level with ample space between the tables to manoeuvre Restroom are available at the rear and access is controlled just ask at the counter and a member of staff will assist with this code A lovely cuppa ☕️

I never leave bad reviews but the experience I had today was at least shocking. We visited the cafe with a friend, we had both cakes and coffees. We had to leave urgently, and we returned 35min after to St Enoch shopping centre I wanted to use the loo as my stomach was feeling really upset. The senior woman( owner I guess with the grey hair) After I asked her kindly if I can use the loo, she refused to let me in, saying its only for customers !!!! Tried to explained to her that I was there 35 min ago there but she just turned her head to me. What a horrible customer service !! Being a regular customer at this shop for 3 years now I was in shock of this behaviour. I find it very ironic spending 4min of your time convincing customers to buy your biscoff cheesecake as a birthday cake that costs £30, lol but you didn't had 30sec to allow me to use ur loo. What an arrogant and unprofessional behaviour is this ! Not only I won't return there, but I will tell all my friends, family and colleagues abt this behaviour. U didn't lost 1 customer only, you lost many as we were visiting all the time the cafe. I would suggest next time, to take some customer service seminars and to be more empathetic and respectful to ur customers that pays your bills!

Very bad encounter with a staff member. I’ve been a regular costumer but after being treated rudely when the situation could’ve been dealt with professionally made me lose respect for the place and the people working there. They’ve lost a costumer.

I adore this place. Feels like home and is very warm. Everyone is always smiling and it's just perfect. The food and the drinks are great as well. Perfect for studying or just relaxing.
