Muffin Break in Luton

I’m extremely disappointed with the service and food here. I ordered a French toast with blueberries and strawberries which I paid £8.90 for and this is what I got. 1 slice of brioche and just strawberries. When I went to the counter to ask why I’ve received only this, they were very dismissive and said this is what you get. They did not offer anything else as I told them I was very unhappy and that I’ve paid almost £9 for 1 slice and some strawberries. I am extremely disappointed that a chain brand like muffin break employ staff that have no customer service skills and are unhelpful. I would never recommend coming to this place!

Located in the heart of Luton Point, the staff were playing havoc within them, they were laughing at each other while taking up my order, and were busy talking. They had a variety of pastries, sweets, hot and cold coffee. I tried the Iced coffee which was refreshing and tasted great. Edited: 06/08/24 So I popped in to grab a cup of Iced coffee and requested them to have a shot of coffee and double shot of the syrup, for my surprise it was an absolute win, tasted so good. If you’re trying out their Iced coffee try this trick and thank me later 🙌 I’ve tried it many times and loved it 😍 24/09/24 I’m a big fan of their cappuccino now. Tried the pistachio pastry loved it. Will definitely recommend and come again. 29/10/24 Being a regular customer here, I’ve seen the place is not at all maintained. Stained cutlery, furniture and the floor is always dirty. Staff here are lovely people. And the coffee is great as always.

Gluten-free Muffins available BUT some of the younger ladies didn’t listen to me properly when taking my order! Both served me a muffin that contained gluten & left so another employee had to fix the mistake! The staff is polite except for these two ladies, one always gives me a big fake smile and her attitude is not acceptable. Often the muffins are just dry or you see a bit of fruit on top but there’s little to nothing of fruits in the muffins especially the strawberry ones are often just dough and two 2 slices of strawberry on top!

The cappuccino was great! Loved the coffee cake and blueberry pie. The guy behind the cash register is very correct and friendly, thanks to him and the girls who make the coffee!

The staff are quite rude. The cup had a lot of tea stains so ask could I have a new one and she rolled her eyes. salmon bagel is very, very dry. I had to drink with tea to swallow. For £6 you expect a little bit more cream cheese and more salmon. How to put black pepper on to help with the taste do not recommend this place. It used to be quite nice but now I find it very unpleasant.

In the heart of Town Mall, very close to all the amenities! Staff is so helpful & friendly ! The coffee always 10/10 and their muffins so delicious . I recommend it if u want to pick something and go . Usually gets very busy and loud

Coffee is excellent , staff are very polite , but what I am starting to realise that the staff would charge me different prices on my coffee . I do not say anything to it as they may be overwhelmed which is understandable , but I get the same coffee every single time from muffin break without a doubt , my coffee order never changes , I very much love muffin break out of every coffee place in the mall , but the whole 10 - 12 times I’ve paid for the same coffee with just almond milk as an extra (nothing else) , would either be one day be the amount I should be paying or £2 extra . I read the board , I know how much I should be paying but i don’t think the staff realise that they’re charging me more than what it is. Please teach your workers on how to do maths , because how are you getting it wrong when it’s an electronic till.

I sat on a dirty table for more than half an hour and all the staf were looking at it and no one came to clean it for me or take the cups of the customer who sat on it before me and this is not the first time this has happened to me in this place

Staff are always so lovely, friendly and helpful. Really makes a difference when trying to manage 2 toddlers. Food is good, and so is the coffee

Love this place. It has the best coffee in luton. The milkshakes are amazing and a great selection of fresh food. Always my go to place of choice. Lovely staff and very friendly x

Passing through this city I decided to take a walk in this shopping center, partly to see the place, partly to see a new shopping center, partly because I was also hungry, honestly I was looking for something different but, not as soon as I saw that they had the "Italian focaccia", I couldn't help but stop to see if this product was the usual English fake or not. I was amazed to discover first of all that the coffee, although not perfect, is clearly above average and therefore good. But the great surprise was the Italian focaccia with pesto, dried tomatoes and mozzarella; Eating this focaccia was really like taking a trip to Italy, even though the quality of the pesto was very low, the quality of the dried tomato was really excellent, overall the focaccia was wonderful, I will be looking for this company here in London too . Muffin break is in the mall.Staff are very polite.Food is well presented and very nice.The only issue is it can be expensive.Handy meeting spot if you are meeting in town.

Coming here for years purely because of the amazing service from the ladies who have been here from the start, don't have much to say for newer staff. The two albanian ladies and one polish lady make this cafe what it is, such hard working lovely women, cannot fault them. The coffee is ok and food is halal. Location is convenient but best thing is the quick service from lovely people :)

Stopped off in Luton for a bit of business and decided to check this place out as I was passing by it. Nice coffee place in the centre of the mall. Plenty of seating. Food and tea was of good quality and reasonably priced too. Food was all halal which was a really good benefit. They also take card payments too. I opted for the chicken tikka panini and it was very good. Staff were very friendly.

My stomach got sick after eating veggie wrap there.

Best coffee in town, always nice, welcoming staff, bit noisy, and a bit hard to find a clean table.

Staff really unfriendly, really poor service

Rude employees threw the bag on his table and did not tell me that this was my order, and he did not answer me when I spoke to him. Also, the taste of the baked cheesecake is milk, there is no taste of cheese in it, and its price is high. At least the quality is supposed to be good, but the opposite is exactly the case in this store. I do not advise anyone to visit it.

I love it, because I crave coffee, I tried all the cafes in Luton city, but this is the best and of course the most expensive, but for me, as I drink coffee 3 or 4 times a day, it is important that the coffee is of good quality.

The gals or women who work here are in Luton mall are thief’s. I ask for chai latte and they give me hot chocolate.I told them I wanted chai latte not hot chocolate and they told me if I chai latte I have to pay 💰 again that’s 350£ I ask for recites the told me I don’t give out recites. Stop still from people mostly me ..

Just ordered two double espresso due I was on the go and I was so happy to finally find a place to sit 5 minutes and grab a quick coffee. However the coffee was tasting very dark and burnt, plenty grounds leftover in our cups. You guys may need to clean the machine time to time or adjust it. Apart this, the staff was serving quick and plenty seats available during the weekend.

Stopped by this morning to get the new flavor salted caramel latte. Was a little bit too sweet for me. Sandwiches looked good but not many options for vegetarian or vegans. Nice clean and tidy tables. Empty during the morning, gets crowded later on. Friendly staff.

Decent - I like the seating arrangement. Food and drinks seemed ok, the baked items looked a bit scary big though - didn’t give me enough confidence to try. The place is busy, gave me the vibes of a place that people like - most tables were busy around 11am. Our drinks were great - huge portions of coffee and hot chocolate - a bit too sweet though, not something I’d order again. Staff were friendly, place is easily accessible and central. Doesn’t look like something that needs a reservation - if you come around 10:30 during the day you would be able to find a spot at ease. Self service - didn’t see any waiters at the tables

The lady who took my order was indifferent and couldn't be bothered about anything and everything. I had to repeat my order many times and yet she still got it wrong. Thank god I noticed it before I paid as my order was listed on the till screen. The person who cooked and brought the pancakes to me was lovely though!

This place is clean, coffee is ok, plenty of space to sit down. It's family friendly too.

Ordered from Muffin Break on the Just Eats app this morning. Forty minutes later I had to cancel my order, due to the fact that it had still not even been confirmed.

If you love your coffee, this is the place to go! For years I'd walked past it, ignoring as I wasn't a fan of outdoor town seating coffee, but during COVID I prefer it. I visited once for a meeting and have been clued since, the coffee is the best and unlike many coffee shops, you can taste the beautiful smooth Arabica coffee. Furthermore the taste is always consistent, out of 100 coffees they've just got it more milky (slightly wrong) 2 times, so all in all top marks! The muffins are fresh and they will heat them up for you if wanted. Plus I love the muffin break app stamps 🙌 So far my favourite coffee and can't find anyone who beats it, not even in London where I am 24/7, so have to come in to Luton just for Muffin Break. Plus love the buzz! It's the best branch for a buzz and diverse crowd. Downside, no plugs but tops as staff are always amazing and coffee is greatttt overrides plug situation ☹️

Brilliant place. Apart from muffins they serve cakes, toasties, paninis, sandwiches. Further selection of coffees, teas and shakes compliments the menu. Prices in line with competition. We especially like their baked cheesecake. Coffee is also of good quality. Worth a stop by if you are in the town centre. Plenty of seating tables.

Muffin Break Luton pride themselves with good services, that didn't happen to me today. I had to wait 25min for a medium Latte to go and when my was ready it was the wrong order, the Barista gave me small Latte. She had to it back because it was the wrong and I had to wait for another couple minutes. Whats interesting in this all situation is, there not that busy it was only 3 people in the queue, 2 eating in and the couple behind me got served their before me. 2 more people having eating got passed me, so I wondered does Muffin Break prioritise customers who are eating in over those who are taking? Worst experience ever to a Company who says they Pride themselves with Good services
