We went to m&s cafe in Sevenoaks, with the grandchildren yesterday. No beans available as the ‘tin opener was broken’ ! No sausages, no bacon ‘ they hadn’t got any’ no ciabatta’s available. Last week no decaf coffee available. What is the point of this place ! They have a food shop, but obviously they can’t go down stairs to get a tin of beans with a ring pull or go 60 yards across the car park to get a new tin opener ! Tables not clean, and staff obviously not interested in what they are doing.

I like M&S cafes , but they aren’t run that well, always running out of things, never enough staff, went to the Sevenoaks one one day for lunch, had no Avocado, no jacket potatoes, no tuna toasties, and this was early lunch time. When I complained, they said the manger would ring me S he was busy, but never did ! Not impressed!

Went to Marks & Spencer’s Sevenoaks for lunch with my sister. Ordered jacket potato with cheese and beans. It was awful, wouldn’t go back there again. Didn’t have anything we wanted on the menu.

Enjoy going to the M&S cafe. Always good service and they do excellent (allbeit slighly expensive) bacon rolls.

Tiedously slow service. The whole place was a complete mess. Tables and floor dirty and littered. The food is a are far at best. Surprising to be honest.

This is just an average in store cafe. The drinks were ok and the service was passable. Only stop in if you are already in the store - not worth a special visit.

Just having some breakfast and the service from Martin and his team is exceptional. Martin is treating every customer with such individual great service and couldn’t do enough for you. Food is okay (what you would expect) but you don’t get service like that everyday! Thank you Martin!

Staff were very helpful and friendly but they had run out of all jacket potatoes and salads by 12.30pm on a Tuesday. There is a food store downstairs...surely it should be possible to offer most menu items at lunch time. Otherwise don't bother to offer it at all, and have a smaller menu.

This is a standard M&S cafe, sometimes quite busy, with the need for a few more tables and perhaps a speedier clearing of vacated tables. However, the staff are brilliant at this place - always friendly and helpful, and makes it a pleasure to have a break here.

Went for lunch with my son, as we usually go to the sainsbury's cafe on Otford road and fancied a change, and honestly expected an upgrade. The all day breakfast was vile, cold and inedible with rubbery bacon, solid eggs and beans so often overheated they had a skin over them. 3 if the 4 items on the miserable lunch menu were unavailable. For some reason I thought I would give it another try for afternoon tea this week...surely they cant make a mess of a hot drink and a piece of cake. Seems I was wrong. 3 staff members, one sour faced lurking in the back only to come and scowl at customers briefly, one running around in circles twittering away repeatedly, laughing at her own incompetence and messing up hot drink orders. The other was simply ineffective. There were 3 cakes available. The 2 we sampled were like lumps of lead. The tables were filthy with other people's crumbs and trays and despite the place being less than half full nobody was cleaning tables. Sainsbury's food, service and delivery runs brings around these people. Overpriced crap and service without a smile.

I have only been here once and ended up cleaning the table myself before we could sit down and have our coffee and food. There was litter everywhere, under the tables as well as on them. Not very helpful staff ( obviously Saturday workers ) that didn't really want to be there and it showed. Food was bearable as we were all starving and you can't really go wrong with a toasted sandwich. I wont be going back there again.

I went into the cafe today at midday with my 2 children for a quick drink whilst waiting for our click & collect items. There were 4 young staff on and were so slow. There was a massive queue and only 1 person on the till despite 2 till points. Surely when it’s busy open both tills. The woman in front of me had to ask 3 times as the girl kept forgetting her order. Then when it was my turn to pay the girl at the till ignored me and went to serve the next customer. Who promptly told her I was first!! She must of been blind not to see me standing there with 2 children!! She never said sorry, clearly no customer care! We sat down to a filthy table and on looking around the area it all looked in need of a good clean too. I watched another girl come around supposedly cleaning tables and she sprayed one table to clean it and the spray was no where near the table and went all over the back of another ladies coat and up the window! No wonder the tables were dirty. Clearly none of the staff wanted to be there and this is really disappointing for an m&s cafe. There’s lots of better choices in Sevenoaks to go to in future for a quick drink.

Went here for a snack lunch whilst shopping. Although the food was ok, the cafe was a complete mess. The cooking area is on view and there was rubbish all over the floor and dirty cups and plates everywhere. In the cafe people were trying to find a seat but every table needed clearing and cleaning. There was mess everywhere. An absolute disgrace for what is meant to be a quality store. I would avoid going again.

Went there today for lattes ad coffee cake. Had to get paper towel to wipe both tables down, really filthy from last occupants. Had to move table away from corner where it was cramped. Bad move, exposed loads of filth and food under the table bases. Need to get new cleaners by the looks of it. Why not wipe tables as you clear them? I'm not paying over the odds for parking and food to clean up after other shoppers! Can't make Lattes either.

We thought we would try M&S Cafe for our lunch, we had one hour which should have been plenty of time. We was being served by a guy who seemed nice but didn't offer us a receipt for either of our meals which was odd, I noticed the chef was stressed and muttering to herself which immediately put a bad atmosphere on our experience, we also noticed the chef would wipe her mouth with her hand and then continued to touch the food she was plating up, the cutlery was also dirty and there was a very long wait for the food, we only had 10 minutes left of lunch in which we decided to throw in the towel and ask for a refund, made a quick exit and went to another shop to get some food.

Went with children - a great place to have some refreshment, watch the cars trying to park (whacky races!) and generally relax. M&S do a children's selection and ours had the small pizza - which came nice and hot and cut up into small pieces. The staff were friendly and helpful at the servery - advising on what was available etc.

Lovely café it's quiet and has a nice glass open view. Jacket potatoes are delicious and latte very nice. Not too strong coffee which I like

One of the better flat white coffees in Sevenoaks and a good range of hot and cold snacks. Usual M&S; decor... and good service too.

Not much to say really, nice tea, nice cakes, friendly staff and a fair price. Good for a snack where you get a basic good quality but don't expect anything too special

Went there with two young children for a light lunch. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we found a table by the large windows, which overlook the car-park in the centre of town. Food, sandwiches and drinks were good. The cafe provide children's colouring sheets and crayons - so much easier to keep them occupied. Overall, a good experience.

I’ve been going to this cafe on and off for 10 years. I have to say my experience has gone downhill since Covid. My recent visit has been very disappointing . I ordered a Spinach and Mushroom Quiche with salads. First of all, the Quiche was still frozen in the middle. Secondly, I didn’t even have time to argue because my daughter has been stung by a wasp. Totally understood this is normal in warm weather but the Cafe’s reaction has been shocking. I went to the counter to ask for some ice. It took at least 5 mins for the waiter to get it despite I can see a bag of ice lying on the table with 1 waitress standing next to it chatting to another lady. I asked can someone just give me the ice as my daughter is crying in pain. I was told someone has gone to get first aid and they can’t “just give me the ice”. After another 5 mins, the first aid has finally showed up. After asking what happened, his words are: oh…..I’m afraid there is not much I can do. I said can you grab me some ice please? It is at that point we finally got the ice!!! I washed my daughter’s wound with some soapy water after a quick google on what to do. I’m not a fully qualified first aid by no means. The cafe has an outside sitting area and wasp sting would be very common. Pleas train your staff on what to do or get some wasps trap like Polhill did. Very disappointing and I would have to end my visit after 10 years. Service standard has gone down too. Most of them look like they don’t want to work there and have a terrible attitude.

Add coffees before we went around the house and there were plenty of tables both inside and outside. Having visited the house we then went back for some lunch and had a variety of items from the menu. All items were very tasty and well presented. The staff on the counters were fine. They could’ve been a bit more efficient doing hot drinks when there was a big queue, else food and service was really good.

I had a couple of hours to kill while on business in Sevenoaks, and fancied an all day breakfast. I googled and found this little place off the beaten track (didn't want to pay for parking!). Really tasty full English breakfast and a good cup of coffee, and ever so great value at £8.00. Maybe not the greatest venue, but definitely worth it for the food.

Costa Café is a gem! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by the friendly staff, especially the one with the amazing tattoos, Nina--they were so warm and attentive. The atmosphere felt relaxed and inviting, with locals chatting and even offering great suggestions on places to visit and things to do in the area. The coffee was perfectly brewed, and the treats were delicious, making it the ideal spot to relax and recharge. Highly recommend stopping by for a cozy, welcoming vibe and top-notch coffee!
