M&S Cafe in Plymouth

Probably the best tasting coffee in the city centre. We tried the vegan toastie and it was delicious! The food is a bit pricey but the coffee is really reasonable and brilliant quality.

Today we has a toastie and macaroni cheese. The macaroni cheese was barely warm and the dish was burning hot 🥵 . Also for the price , it was not good value. Too expensive for what it was. Tesco's macaroni cheese is much better and cheaper. Disappointed with M&S which was always a favourite.

Shopping and eating under one roof. Service has improved a lot as has the coffee.

This isn't great. I like M&S and sometimes their cafés can be good, sadly this one ain't. I've had coffee from here and it's not good. Had some chips too and they were awful, not a fan of this one and will avoid it where I can.

I so want to love this cafe! But! messy tables and slow service ruin it. the staff are very, very polite. My wife and I are regular M and S shoppers and are waiting for the new menu to appear. If there was a need for a truly great M and S cafe it is now. The Plymouth cafe could/should be bigger and have a sensible sized toilet. David

Sorry to say 2 people working, long wait to be served they had ran out of sausage panini by 13.30 And my wife's oat milk cappuccino was flat. Spoilt our visit. M&S if you want our hard earned money you have to do better I'm never really sure why us Joe public put up with poor service.

Decent food and drinks at decent prices. Slow service. Most available tables still had plates etc from previous customers. These were slowly removed, but not once did I see a table wiped down - other by customers themselves.

Thank you for being so kind to my daughter. She's four and I sent her up to bravely buy some chocolate buttons on her own. I didn't catch the person's name but the staff were so lovely to her she walked away with the biggest smile on her face it really made my day. The mocha was absolutely lovely too!

You cannot fault M & S cheese scones - they are the best which is one of the reasons we go there BUT we are now getting really fed up with queues reaching the toilets due mainly to only 2 people serving the customers. Today there were many many dirty tables, customers cleaning them so they could sit and eat their food. Floor covered in serviettes and crumbs. At least it wasn’t freezing and we actually sat down without our coats on. Some progress I guess.

Visited the little M&S cafe just ouside M&S this morning. Thinking this is M&S so it should be good. First of the staff we to busy chatting to even say good morning. I heard all about the man's holiday plands and other personal information. Finally they took my order, and the staff were not polite. This put a taint on the atmosphere on an already cold miserable morning. The coffee was disgusting, bitter and the oat milk tasted off. Felt like I wasted my time and money. Sadly will not be going back.

Really…..it took 15 minutes to get a pot of tea….. totally ignored by 4 members of staff

We thought as M&S usually has a good name for food we decided it was the best place to have our lunch. How wrong can you get?!The knives were all dirty - my husband looked through all of them & ended up with the best of the not good selection. I wiped them with hand sanitizer which I keep in my handbag & dried them on a serviette. We ordered a toasted tea cake each which came cold although they looked as though they had been toasted. The drinks were cold too - definitely wouldn’t go there again!

The most painfully slow service you can imagine

Ran out of food AGAIN!! NO non Dairy choices, no drinks for my grandson AGAIN! Staff were rude & didn't care. Complained to Manager, well he was just a wet lettuce with no answers & again didn't seem to care.. Big complaint will be going in now higher up the chain..

Superb food and excellent service. Young girl behind the good counter, who I have since found out is called Sophie, gave thorough and helpful advice when asked. Very refreshing to have such pleasant staff, especially in this hot weather!

Visited today for coffee. On arrival we went for a table but was asked to join the queue as lady had not cleaned table from previous customers. Completely understood that. However joining the queue we noticed others were just walking in and sitting even though tables were not cleared.My point is there should be a notice asking customers to wait at a point until a table is ready. Then you would have a fair system whereby customers would have a table in an organised order . Also many customers who just arrived and went straight to table did so before it was cleaned down and moved trays and crockery to a vacant table

Clean and good quality food. Also they are taking part in the Government's eat out scheme.

Friendly staff, great food as always, but i think the prices have increased this year.

Worst cafe ever. Pre packed food. No lemonade. Very slow service.

On my first time visiting, the queue was not busy at all but there seemed to be an exceptionally long wait for my drink. Having said that, the customer service was excellent as I was asked if I could manage and if I wanted them to bring it over for me.

Excellent Coffee Cafe The coffee is good, the baps are hot and full of filling, the staff are very nice and also very helpful and the wheelchair access has improved recently so that the tables seem to be more accessible. Would highly recommend.

Nice cafe that gets very busy at times that sell a nice selection of sandwiches & cakes to go with your favorite hot or cold beverage, I had the mocha that was made ok, but not very warm, plus the lady could of been happier as it is nearly Christmas!
