Such a shame that this cafe has now been closed. Lovely place to stop for a drink after shopping. The powers that be decided that it was unnecessary. 😱😱😰

Unfortunately this cafe doesn't seem to like cruelty free food! I asked if there were any vegan snacks and the woman behind the till rolled her eyes, said no. So we ordered a pot of black tea and coffee as there were no food options. The pot of tea managed just one cup, in most cafes you can normally squeeze two cups. So because if this I thought it was on the expensive side. I'm not sure of the situation, maybe they had staff off sick, but the tables could have done with a good clean.

M&S cafe Blandford Forum is grubby and neglected. On our visit the staff were unwelcoming, glum and disinterested. Food is what it is pretty mediocre. Dismal place.

We visted M&S store Worcester, after a busy couple of hours shopping and spending a considerable amount of money in store on our first day of release from lock down, Monday 17th May, we decided to have lunch in the M&S Cafe, we selected a table and went to order, unfortunately they had a limited selection of sandwiches, my partner decided to go to the Food Hall and purchased a sandwhich of choice, we had ordered coffee and other items from the Cafe, on return to the Cafe, she was pounced on and told you cannot eat that in here! I was staggered and asked why, I was told it was company policy, there were plenty of vacant tables and I would have thought even if it's company policy, I feel we should have had an explanation and perhaps told on this occasion enjoy your lunch and be advised for future visits, no chance it was like being at Fawlty Towers with other customers looking on! Very disapointed and will not be returning in future.

Often pop in this cafe for coffee and a sandwich at lunchtime. Always good food and coffee although gets very busy. Often have a free drink on my sparks card. Staff always pleasent. The only fault for me is the fact that the cafe is close to the main door and often is very cold.

This M&S is a food only shop, but it’s cafe is sublime. We often call in for coffee and cakes. Or sandwiches. Both are truly excellent and make a good excuse to visit Blandford.

We called in for coffee and cake on a wet August Friday afternoon.A few tables were occupied but we found a seat in the window.Staff were a bit matter of fact and not overly chatty. The coffee however was a very lovely blend and the coffee cake excellent.Would have given a higher rating if the staff had been nicer.

This M&S cafe is great. Staff want to help, food- especially the jacket potatoes- never disappoints. It’s limited but good, clean and well priced.

Stopped by for lunch after a bit of shopping with the wife.Jacket potatoes with various fillings and tea. Delivered tot eh table after a short wait, nicely cooked and for what it was enjoyable. So food and drinks good.My only issue, please ask the staff to be more welcoming, be happy and smile, being happy makes us all happy, service with a smile goes a long way.

Rather small but we always manage to get a seat, just. The quality is good and the service pleasant but the coffee machine is so slow.

Good for a snack or coffee and clearly very popular. There is pay & display parking adjacent to the store. Always something to tempt you, scones are very good. The only quibble is the coffee machine can slow things down.

Nice spot for a quick coffee after you've shopped, range of cakes and snacks and good standard of coffee - not exceptional but pretty good!

M&S; Cafe is a convenient place for a quick bite or a coffee. The food and service is quality. They have a nice balance of healthy selections and tasty sweets. I love going through after I do my grocery shopping.

Handy stop for meeting a friend for lunch. Parking outside the shop is free for customers using the store. Cafe located to the right of the front door when going in.

A nice bright and airy setting at the front of the store. Hot and cold dishes available. Although it is self service there was not much of a queue at the till, lots of free seats available and not long to wait for the food to arrive. A pleasant experience.

Great coffee and cake but the ambiance lets it down. It is more like a transport cafe style. No comfy seating.

When visiting twice with my son they had ran out of children size cheese sandwiches. A member of staff offered to make him a cheese sandwich on both occasions.

Enjoyed my first visit. Blandford Forum is not really much more than a typical Georgian market town and almost on the east edge of the town we have the Food Hall and adjoining café. Dorchester is more vibrant on the whole

M&S; love the food there, has some good pancakes and is a decent price. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Only shame is about parking. You have to pay for it, unless you can get a space outside.

The member of staff serving was friendly and helpful, it was around 11am and stock levels were poor, some of the items produced by the Instore Bakery were not very appealing, having not been fully baked. The lady serving us was very polite and efficient and keeping the queuing down to just two or three people, however her colleague producing the hot drinks was very slow and failed to keep control of events. The hot drinks were served hot and the cake purchased from an extremely limited range was good. The Café layout is poor, badly positioned at the front of the store with the entrance to it often blocked by trollies belonging to customers using the self service tills, the view is just parked vehicles, poor really. Tables remained not cleared of dirty crockery and litter from previous customers.

Really like the M&S; cafe. The coffee is excellent, personally I think it is better that well known coffee outlets and the little shortbread on the side is a nice touch. The staff are friendly and knowledgable. They serve hot sandwiches and the forest mushroom and cheese is lovely. Only thing that stops it from being excellent is that the tables do not get cleared quickly enough (there is not option to clear the plates yourself as there is no where to put them)- this is a problem as there are not many tables and it gets busy. They also serve afternoon tea, £12.95 for two and we couldn't finish it so took some cakes home in a take out box.

All M&S; cafe's deliver great quality food and drink but at Blandford there is particularly friendly service and less of a queue than other M&S; cafes. A friend and I devoured a delicious cream tea last week. I also enjoy take out lattes.

Had a lovely meal at Charlton Inn, every time we come here, we are greeted with a friendly welcome. The menu is extensive on the choice, we chose off the specialist menu and decided to with Haddock mornay, and I had Steak with Guinness pie, which both came with chunky chips and a side of vegetables, both were excellent, and very reasonable value, the whole lot with 1.2/2 pints came to under £36.00, great service and a great pub

Decided to try this as it’s under new ownership and within walking distance. I booked ahead for Sunday lunch at 1pm thinking it may be busy but the main bar was was completely empty. The staff greeted us warmly and were offered drinks which we decided to have at the table in the the restaurant away from the loud music. Obviously the staff were playing what they wanted rather than something suitable for the clientele. The restaurant only had one other couple dining, it was completely empty apart from us. The waitresses were very young, sweet and polite. After a considerable wait we were served our food. What a disappointment! The lamb wellington consisted of 3 slices of lamb with a thin layer of pastry around the outside, my Mothers 3 slices of pork looked nice and I have 2 slices of overcooked roast beef. The vegetables looked ok but were barely warm and and roast potatoes were yesterday’s and had chewy skins. Very disappointing which we pointed out to the waitress when she asked how our meal was when she cleared the table. I could hear the same comments from the other couple when they were asked the same question. We decided that we’d go home for our pudding rather than chance a repeat reheat of yesterday’s. Such a shame, we weren’t offered any explanation, but one only had to look around to see why the place was empty. My husband who doesn’t cook could have produced a better meal. It cost us £56 in total. We shan’t be returning and I don’t suppose the other diners will either. I took the meat home and there were no complaints from the dogs!

Been here a few times to eat and been a very mixed experience with food quality. Yesterday we have Sunday roast from carvery and it was disappointing. Food tasked like it had been reheated particularly roast potatoes and meat. I think it depends who’s cooking as I noticed normal chef not present. Don’t think I’ll be bothering again as I can do better at home! Lovely pub and people welcoming, it’s a shame.
