We ate here today and I can honestly say it was a horrible meal. I had a prawn baguette, it tasted very strange and I could not eat all of it, the coleslaw tasted heavily of onion ! The chips were mediocre. The toilets were outside and pretty dire. I told the waitress about the prawns but it fell on deaf ears.

Lovely girl serving the food, unfortunately the meal was terrible, we had tuna toasted sandwiches with a side of chips. Very little filling in sandwich, tiny salad and half a dozen crisps, the chips were hard and over coocked. The back room where we were located was tired and needs updating. Very poor.

Opinion similar to June 2024 review by Rory M. We had cottage pie and there was very little meat and it lacked flavour. A lot of potato and cheese on top. The veg were peas, carrots and sweetcorn within the cottage pie and accompanying it. Would of hoped that both would not be the same. Food service was slow. Will not be returning.

Stopped here as we were having a day out in Woodbridge. Staff friendly as we walked in. We ordered 2 drinks and food. I ordered a prawn jacket potato. I was then told they have no prawns! So I opted for homemade cottage pie and veg. When it arrived the cottage pie was soaked in cheese and very little mince. The veg was definitely from a packet. Couldn’t eat all of it as it was fatty. My partner had all day brunch. It looked nice but it was tasteless. He has now got an upset stomach. Very poor. We won’t be going back.

Had lunch here before and it was ok so went back with my Mrs and we decided to go for a cooked meal. We ordered steak pudding with veg and lamb pie and veg, both with mashed potatoes. When it came the pudding and pies were nice but the veg was disappointing, You know that when you eat out and get peas they are going to be horrible and these were too hard, just like the sweetcorn. There was also cauliflower with some odd brown bits on but the most disappointing was the mashed potato, I swear it was out of a packet! Now we weren’t expecting fine dining but packet mash and frozen veg was a bit disappointing. I was going to say that it was disappointing for the price but even at half the price I would have been disappointed. Oh yes, we had a long wait too. Sorry but we won’t be going back.

What a nice place to stumble upon in thd heart of Woodbridge. If you want a drink, snack, light-bite or bigger meal this is the place to visit. Our order was taken and drinks served swiftly then, In appropriate time for fresh cooked, our food arrived. Well cooked, tasty and of good portion size... highly recommended. A special mention too to Heather, our smiley and customer-focused server.. Thank you, we'll see you again.

Went to the restaurant a bit later than I intended to: waited ages for the food to arrive and at one stage I had to say to the waitress to cancel the food as I was running out of time. She informed me it was virtually ready so I stayed to eat - faster eating than normal!! The pie (lamb and mint) was nice, the mashed potato was good and lots of vegetables. I didn't have time to really do it justice but what I did eat I enjoyed. Strange place though with the toilet out the back - a bit run down looking too.

There was such a lack of concentration where the staff were concerned. I ordered Cappuccino with no chocolate and I got chocolate. My husband ordered a pot of tea and got a mug. He was given a knife and fork for his soup. My Cheese burger was half cooked and had some kind of margarine spread on the roll, I couldn't eat it. My husbands soup was plain served with a slice of supermarket bread with margarine on and just not value for money as the soup was £7.35. I did complain , they said sorry but did nothing about it.

15 minutes after ordering our two cups of tea arrived. 15 minutes later we asked why we still hadn't had our sandwiches and were told that they were very busy and we would have them in 5 minutes. At this point another customer piped up that he had been waiting even longer! After 40 minutes our sandwiches appeared, but the first one had to be sent back to be toasted, as ordered. Now we weren't in a hurry, but that sort of delay is not acceptable. The staff were doing there best, and it was busy, but if only they had explained from the outset that there would be a delay we could have made a judgement one way or another. The food was ok in the end.

Dirty grubby place!! Had a sandwich with very little salad on a tiny side plate! Carpet by back door was awful. Paintwork needs fresh paint. I could go on but not worth wasting anymore of my time. Definitely a no go!! I had my own Tearoom before I retired and it was well looked after.

Sorry but the 2 servers in this place were awful. I asked 3 times for some tap water as I needed to take some tablets. The girl had sat down and was doing nothing and still hadn’t got the water I wanted. There were loads of flies in the place, some of which were stuck in cobwebs that hadn’t been cleaned from the windows. One of the flies then decided to drown itself in my tea. I had a pot and wanted to finish the rest. I went to the counter and showed her the tea - said I didn’t want a new pot but I’d like a new cup for the rest of my pot of tea. I waited - she just carried on busying herself behind the counter. I went and sat down, thinking she’d bring the fresh cup over. Nothing. Went back up and was about to pick one myself when she finally gave me the cup. No training at all. Will never go back, made me angry for the rest of the day. Don’t bother with this place, much nicer places in Woodbridge.

We were given a nice welcome on arriving, but unfortunately that's where the start to our good morning ended. The cafe was almost empty with only 2 other customers & we wondered why as its got the perfect high street position. My wife and i had the decaffeinated coffee & fruit scones but unfortunately a short while after we both felt a little queasy. The coffee was fine, it was the homemade scones which were rather "claggy". Needless to say we won't be returning next time we visit Woodbridge.

We went into Woodbridge for lunch so picked this shop. We had a baguette., which we were told was going to be a soft roll. Husband had cheese and onion and I had cheese and pickle. These came with a bit of salad and crisps, which was though could of done with a bit more filling. The tables were clean, though not sure if the menus were wiped after use, but we hand sanitised. The staff weren't wearing masks. The shop jut looked a bit shabby, with some of the paint coming off the wall. the toilets looked like they need a good clean dust on the pipes, and scum around the plug hole, and a stiff bolt to fasten and unfasten. We wouldn't go again.

A soul destroying experience in a tearoom with no atmosphere what so ever. The whole place is cluttered with furniture stacked at one end. The remainder is basic with tables covered in wipe clean cloths. The cafe was empty when I arrived but despite this my table was dirty with ketchup in the cloth and the table top bin had rubbish in. My sandwich was poorly filled and the side salsas minimal. It was hot and freshly made on the plus side. I think I would avoid this place in the future.

Meet friends here for lunch. Back door open for plenty of cleansing breeze, although did make inside quite cold. Wondered if our table hadn't been cleaned prior to sitting at it as found a hair on it, but was busy and might have got missed as cleaning of tables is the norm there. Had a long wait for food, but as I said it was busy and only a small establishment with only 2 waitresses and one cook. Food was worth the wait, very tasty and plenty of it. Staff friendly and laid back atmosphere. Environment very basic and tired in places but for a catch up with friends it was ideal and if you want some good food at a good price then this is ideal.

My sister and I popped in there today as the other coffee shop was shut. We decided to have something quick. So I hada tuna sandwich on brown and sister had prawn on white. Well the sandwiches were priced at about £3.75 each and was expecting a bit more than a crap sandwich and wedge of to maintain, slice of cucumber and a pinch of iceberg. The tuna and Mayo obviously the cheapest brand around and the bread possibly a week old. My sister's prawn sandwich was apparently the worst she had ever had. The white bread obviously old. We were not asked how it was, guessing the waitress knew it was bad. The can of coke and coffee were good!. Not many people in there not surprising really as it was so cold in there, possibly warmer outside. Definitely won't be rushing back there again anytime soon.

My wife visited here yesterday with a friends and two children so in total 3 adults and two children. They welcomed by the friendly waitress and once seated were given the menu. Drinks were ordered and served, the waitress was very friendly. The only negative was that the waitress looked very rushed working on her own as it was geting to about 2ish so the ideal time for people to pop in to have a late lunch or even afternoon tea and cake. Visited Monday and was really happy with our visit. The food was great, it was nice to see something different, there was a lot of effort put into the menu and lots of options. We ordered two soft drinks, the Mexican flatbread and fishfinger wrap, both of which were excellent and very fresh: I wouldn't be surprised if the tartare sauce was made from scratch. I’ve read some of the reviews and it seems that expectations have a lot to do with the comments. I know what to expect and I like it. If you want slick – don’t go. If you want real - then go. If you want a place where people go because they know each other – then go. I’ve had some good conversations about local events and places with the lady and gentleman who run it. Food and drink are fine – it might not suit everyone to see your breakfast cooked in view. Suits me fine.
