This is my favourite place in Hucknall for refreshments.I love the setting, the whole 50’s vibes,Mrs.C is so friendly and welcoming and you feel at home or at the very least sat having a chat in ‘ grandma’s parlour’.

Been looking forward to going here for some time. Arrived and sat outside in the sunshine to be told we could only have cake outside and no hot food. (We were going for a breakfast) so asked if we could go inside to which we were told no as we had a pushchair, Mrs C was very rude and abrupt! Instead we went to a cafe were families are welcome!

Fabulous little place to go for a warm, welcoming lunch, coffee and cake or breakfast. Set in a small building located just off the main High Street, the interior takes you back in time to the 1950s. Everything you see is from that period: seating, dishes and cutlery, cuisine, music and the dress of the staff there. Fabulous 'Rashion Book' menu presents foods available: delicious home cooked treats. Ideal for vegetarians and gluten free dietary needs. Can get rather busy for afterwards teas so best to book in advance. Well worth a visit.

Wow, this place is great once you get inside. The decor, the spacing, the clothes the staff are wearing. It's great. Afternoon tea was nice and portion was larger than most but I can't complain as it tasted so great. Customisable and changeable from walking in on preferences on sandwiches or cakes. Lovely server and owner. Can't fault the experience and also the feeling of family and warmth this place offers. Location is central to hucknall up a side road. From the outside it doesn't offer much but walk in and you will be transported back 50-60 years. Don't miss out!

Visited with an organised group of friends & acquaintances. Wasn't sure what to expect, but the ladies from the tea room really did us proud . There was more than enough food for all 15 of us. pork pie, crisps, a good variety of sandwiches & of course everyone's favourite 1950s cake, a gorgeous Victoria Sponge cake. Look forward to going again.

We were given the privilege of having the first post-lockdown large group afternoon tea at Mrs C's Vintage Tea Room, it was absolutely wonderful, everyone had a lovely afternoon, the food was delicious and Mrs C and Sam pulled out all the stops to make sure our afternoon tea was extra special, as I knew they would do. I thoroughly recommend Mrs C's for a visit, for everything from a quick cuppa stop to a special gathering, a really lovely place to be, run by two genuinely lovely ladies.

Excellent tearoom that takes you back to the 1950s, including the staff! Detailed decor was thought of so cardfulky and accurately. Menu suits the decor displayed in the format of a ration book. Includes typical British food choices ranging from ploughman's lunch to perfect scones, plus a lot, lot more. Music in the background is even from that period of time. Seevice is friendly and welcoming. Lovely place for a lunch or simply a tea and cakes (coffee as well). Well worth a visit.

Now that the lockdown for COVID-19 is coming to an end, I decided I wanted to go out for a cup of tea. So, I decided to look for a coffee shop that wasn't a national chain. Mrs C's had caught my eye on previous visits to Hucknall, and I decided to give it a try. This cafe has a unique atmosphere which replicates what a coffee shop would have been like in the second World war. The serving staff dress in clothes of the era, music from the war plays in the background and the crockery is good old-fashioned crockery! I had a pot of tea and a cherry scone and both were absolutely delicious! Can't wait to go back!

I was visiting family who live in Hucknall and they recommended a visit to the tea room. I was impressed as soon as i walked in. The tearoom itself was a transportation of times gone by. I was impressed with the decor the 40's music playing. The service was excellent and offered the personal touch. We had a cream tea which was very good value for money. I will certainly pay a visit when I am visiting from Cornwall in the future.

À group of us booked the tea room for a Christmas get together. True to the 1940s the music was Bing Crosby and others of that time singing Christmas music. The sandwiches were lovely with the choice of fillings being available in both brown and white bread. Coleslaw, pickle, pork pie slices and salad was available to serve yourself. The sponge cake and fillings ( strawberry jam and butter cream) was decidedly moreish, but the slice provided was perfect.Liquid refreshments of tea or coffee (state your preference) were served and top ups were available if required.Excellent value for money and worth visiting

I was lucky enough to win a voucher entitling me to a cream tea for two. I know I love the tearoom already so was chuffed to say the least. I took my friend along or rainy Monday afternoon and we indulged in a cherry scone and a pot of tea each. It was all delicious, and the service was super friendly. I fall in love with the decor a little more each time I visit. It’s a small intimate space so i left my pram outside as I had my littlest one with me, and once Mrs C realised it had started to rain she bought it inside and found room without making a fuss which I really appreciated. It’s a fab place and I know I’ll be back soon. Thank you!

Visiting today with friends for afternoon tea, this was our first visit to Mrs C's Vintage Tearoom. We went on a recommendation from another friend. Well, what a treat it was - a lot of effort had been made with the 1940's atmosphere and Mrs C herself was a vision! Staff were friendly and courteous, with nothing too much trouble. Doggy bags were supplied without having to ask; I can only comment on the afternoon tea at the moment, but portions were very generous. (I'll have the rest of my quiche and cake later or tomorrow as I'm still stuffed from this afternoon!)Hope to visit again soon for the atmosphere and to sample other yummy items from the very reasonably-priced menu. Well done Mrs C, an unreserved thumbs up from us

We visited this weekend as part of a party of 17 to celebrate my low key ‘baby sprinkle’. Mrs C and staff went above and beyond to cater for our every need and make us feel welcome. We opted for an afternoon tea style buffet filled with sandwiches, crisps, pork pie, quiche, the most delicious Victoria sponge cake and then a scone to take home each as we were all so full. Of course topped off with tea, coffee and soft drinks. The decor of the place is just fab and so many of my friends said how fab it was feeling like you were in someone’s front room back during the war time.Every step was a delight and I can’t wait to visit again. It was very compact and we wouldn’t have fit many more in but it felt small and intimate which is what I wanted. Thanks Mrs C!!

What a lovely little gem. Popped in just to look and ended up eating there. We thought we might have cake after a light lunch, but generous portions meant we had no room. This tea room really is like stepping back in time & the attention to detail is staggering. But what really makes this place stand out is the wonderful welcome & service you get from Mrs C. Nothing is too much trouble for her. She was exceptionally kind & patient with my friend who has dementia. I nearly forgot the food! The triple decker toasties were a hit & the home made quiche almost melted in my mouth. Next time I'm having a cake as they looked lovely. I can't wait to return & really wish I lived closer!

This was not our first visit and isn’t our last.....we first went for a mother’s day treat! This shop is a hidden gem......when you first walk in you get a lovely warm cosy feeling and the staff are lovely and helpful! The tea room is decorated like a 40’s front parlour room it’s great and makes you feel like you have gone back in time. Now let’s get to the food.....wow.....we all had cream tea which was sandwiches, quiche, drink, two cakes and you get a lot for £10 none of us left hungry and we left with doggy bag as couldn’t eat last cake . Mrs C’s is also very child friendly and our 7 year old loved the whole experience! Our other son at 26 was learning how to make tea with tea pot, strainer and was nice to see as these things just don’t exsist much anymore and let’s not forgot tea cosy......Mrs C’s have not ignored the little details that make the visit so much more than just having lunch! Our next visit is in July for my birthday and I’ve asked for table for 8-9 of us which I thought would not be possible as space limited but cosy in the tea room but Mrs C’s haven’t let me down and look forward to our next visit. well done for such a new business.

Called on my way home from work and decided to call here for tea . Wish I hadn’t bothered wasting my money . 2 donner kebabs on pitta ordered . £18.00 plus for the privilege . Got home opened and it was the size of a 5 year olds tea . I’m totally disgusted with the food and price of what I had paid for . Will never revisit this place again. One very unhappy customer. I would not recommend to anyone.
