Mr Turtle. Chinese takeaway in Elmbridge

After a long and stressful day at Ashford Hospital we rang through our order on our way home at 6.30. We picked it up twenty minutes later and it was hot, freshly cooked and delicious. We're new to this area and Mr. Turtle had been recommended to us and now we know why. We'll be back very soon!

We haven’t ordered from here for a while and we will definitely not order again We ordered prawn toast, ribs, squid, prawn balls, chowmein and beef oyster sauce.. the cost of £43 is what we usually pay BUT Usually we’d have had enough for all of us and left overs.. 8 prawn balls 4 prawn toast 8 bits of dry squid 5 ribs!!! Soggy over cooked noodles Portions are a joke and quality is less than a joke We called to give feed back and customer service as lacking as the food Oriental Chef 10/10

two hours for a delivery, yes, it's Saturday so plan ahead get another drive. The food was wrong but couldn't even say sorry. we will not be ordering from you again.

This was the first time I had been to Mr Turtle but I will definitely be back. The chicken balls had a lovely light, crispy batter and a good chunk of chicken breast with no filler. The sesame prawn toast melted in my mouth and the crispy duck was gorgeous. The hors d'oeuvres weren't the biggest portions I've ever had but the taste made up for it. Would highly recommend this place.

I dont normally write reviews but the new sea food and vegetarian dum sum from mr turtle is the best delivered dim sum we have ever had! I was expected frozen as this is the dim sum you get at most restaurant and delivery take aways. While i beleive there meat dim sum is still frozen the veg and seafood ones blew us away. Freshly made, awesome flavours, and perfect textures. The Dim sum is as good as it gets when it comes to delivery.

Food is okay but the wait times are obscene and they don’t even deliver on time after you wait upto two hours

Nicest Chinese takeaway around and good value for money. Only thing is they took a while to deliver so will collect next time.

Mr Turtle offers great food and generous portions at honest prices, it's a Shepperton staple and deserves to be visited by anyone looking for great oriental food.

I have had chinese take aways from all over the country. The food I had yesterday was amongst the best I have ever had. The food was excellent and great value. The barbecued ribs with salt and chilli were exceptional.

Wow - what a pleasant surprise. Great food with good portions. Don’t let the name put you off. Since Mr Chong went in Walton we have searched for a new Chinese and now we’ve found it. Give it a go you won’t be disappointed.

I have happily given 5 stars in the past on this site and on Google but not now. If I could give it zero I would. Our previous order was really quite awful - very bland and inedible. But we can all have an off day in the kitchen. Ordered tonight from their new menu. Prices up. Portion size down. However, what really irritates is their crispy lamb at £7.20. Really tiny portion. When I rang to query this (thinking it was a mistake) I was told that lamb is expensive and therefore sold by the gram. I pointed out this is not mentioned on the menu. They said they do the same with duck and prawns. I have had both previously and no issue, but not off their new menu so may have changed. The expensive lamb they refer to is actually breast of lamb, which is available at Waitrose for around £7.00 a kilo (other places are no doubt cheaper). Even allowing for profit margins based on that price per kilo I should have got more than 150g of meat for £7.20. I should also add that as it is breast meat it is fatty and can be chewy. This was both. The attitude of the female was disappointing when I telephoned. So much so I will not order from there again. I will also add that we have had the chicken with garlic and chilli on numerous occasions for £5.20 and really enjoyed it. Tonight it was £6.00 and whilst the flavour was good, 75% of it was vegetables (mainly various coloured peppers). Unlike previously. Hugely disappointing.

Went here as they are new and already got a good reputation for a meal take out delivery to have with my partner. Thought I will give them a go they got to be better than new Shangri-la that used to be there before and to my surprise it was. The food was fresh and hot not greasy and full of msg. The staff was polite and friendly will deffinetly go back there again

All that I can say is that the food was ok, no more no less. I only went here about 3 weeks ago and can't even remember what I had, however I found the meals to be tasting quite sweet so not sure if too much sugar is added during cooking

Really been put off Chinese takeaways in recent hrs due to quality and hygiene issues so when Mrs said she fancied Chinese sat night I was not very excited and all the local ones are poor,so checked trip advisor and found this new one in Walton with ten good reviews so took a chance. Wow prob the best Chinese takeaway we have ever had. So tasty hot and fresh. Chicken sate and crispy lamb were delicious as were the noodles and hong kong chicken. Only thing we were not keen on was the prawn toasts. Should be crispy not soft. Def be ordering from here again. Highly recommend 👍

Wwhat a great friendly takeaway. Grace and her staff are first class. Food is excellent. Have been using this Chinese since it opened earlier this year, always consistently first class. Highly recommended.

Everything I have had from here has been great tasting and the people are amazingly sweet too..... Much better than previous ownership...

Used twice. Different dishes. Proper Chinese food. Not slimey or greasy or tasting like MSG. Quick service, fresh and hot ingredients. Great price. Crispy Duck is delicious. Well done Mr Turtle.

I rarely review - and we rarely have takeaway . But this was exceptional. We had the set meal for two - the slightly more expensive one - and it was delicious.

Best Chinese takeaway in town. Friendly staff. There was a misunderstanding in my order, but a replacement of our meal was with us in 5 minutes.

First time here since it replaced the previous Chinese, New Shangri-la. Ordered shredded smoke chicken (a little sweeter than I remember others I've tasted, but still good), the crispy chicken wings, fong sha style (very good, and nice and crisp, although the panko crumb suffered a little in the packaging/delivery) and the Mee Goreng noodles (very tasty). The girl who took the order was very polite, as was the guy who delivered the food. It arrived within the time the girl stated, and was piping hot (although I do live around the corner).
