Mr T’s Takeaway in Isle of Wight

Popped into Mr T when I popped back to Island. Now I've been going to Mr T since around 1990 and have got to know the owners well. It's aways great to pop in there and see if they are all well. Food and menus hasn't really changed at all over the years, you get what it says on tin. Great food, brilliant service and great to see the staff and say hello ago. Keep up the good work

We had a delivery from here and it came dripping in oil and it was stone cold. I called them back and he was rude to us and said we were lying and said “So what should we do about it”. NEVER GOING AGAIN

Very very very reasonable prices, great selection of food which includes local produce. Well worth a visit.

I live next door and I order regular food is always nice but this week I ordered two days in a row I had jacket potatoes this time and they are amazing the portion is massive and it’ tastes amazing 10/10 will be having it again very soon

Super tasty pizza. Once a week there is a special offer: pay for a pizza and get a second one for free. Unfortunately it's a pick-up pizzeria, but I offer delivery service. It was a shame that the salad was sold without dressing.

The pizza was very tasty. The dressing was missing from the salad.

Used to go here all the time when they first opened 30yrs ago for at least 10yrs, recently returned and noticed Jen still owns it, but I was so disappointed, had a chicken shish and doner kebab, with chips, it was very small portions, the chicken was dry and near on cremated, bones in, not chicken breast, more likely from Iceland, the doner meat was awful, hardly enough for one person, and the chips must have been heated three times. I actually left most of it, and felt sick. So disappointing . Used to be a great place.

Always get a pizza from Mr T’s while visiting the island and it never disappoints,same quality as always and tastes superb.

2nd time ordering from here while on our hols. Food amazing, I have 1 kid who can be hard to please and he loved both the chicken gujons and the pepperoni pizza. Burgers and Jacket pots also amazing. Will be ordering again before we leave the island

Sorry but the pizza tasted cheap, especially the base. It was more like a frozen pizza from Iceland

Excellent service and really tasty food. The chicken hot wings were so delicious and I never had such tasty wings before.

Was very busy. They only have kebab halal. The rest is not halal.

Ordered a chicken burger tonight and it was raw only realised half way through, going to have food poisoning now, I will not be ordering again.

Just had a takeaway from here, please save your money was absolutely disgusting, plus missed all the sauces off.

Nice food! Only gripes were salad wasn’t quite the variety we are used to from London, and we didn’t get the free side for spending over £30 as advertised. Side note after the reply from Mr T’s- we did infact state which side we wanted and it was printed on our receipt and we didn’t receive it…

This is a well oiled rip off machine churning out fast food... Having visited to place and collect my order, I still paid the full delivered price. For £14.45 and a 10 minute wait, we got a miniscule chicken kebab with salad, fries, plus 2 extra pittas. I've never had a chicken kebab, which was flavoured using mixed herbs and dry to bite. The fries were not fresh and not hot.. 2 of the pitta breads(probably the 2 extra) looked anaemic and not grilled. Don't get me wrong, prices have increased, but not by this much. Where I usually get a chicken kebab in Surrey, (same order, 2 weeks ago £9.80) we only manage to eat 1/3rd, leaving the rest for a local fox... Some providers are preying on those who don't know better...

Stayed at lower hyde and had some pizzas and kebabs delivered onsite, food was excellent customer service was briliant. Delivery was great...over all 10/10 keep it up

Arrived early for the order and were greeted by a warm welcome. Cleanliness was spot on, and we took advantage of their Sunday offer. We aren't local, but when we return to area we'd be sure to use again.

Ordered delivery food at 8pm was still waiting one and half hours later only to be brought half my order. This is not the first time this has happened but it will certainly be the last. Absolutely disgusted.

Best place to order from and comes highly recommended from anyone who's been there. Always a hit with amazing food and great communication! Definitely one of the best pizzas on the island, absolutely delicious. Slight (and rare) error on our last order(topped with pepperoni instead of red onions)but problem rectified extremely swiftly with a super tasty replacement... Lovely staff, great food.. All hail Mr T's.. Thank you.

Unfortunately couldn't order. After reading the reviews and looking at their online menu, i thought i'd try giving it a go, however i was told, they don't go as far as niton for delivery. Why advertise as an "Isle Of Wight pizza takeaway, free home delivery" if your only going to deliver to your immediate area. Shame, maybe i'll try and order from here if i'm ever in the area.

Considering the prices have increased again the Portion size was tiny.....15 chips for £2.70!!! The donner kebab was small aswell and luke warm for the £7.15 I payed for it....look else where as this place is going down hill quickly.....

We're on holiday too and ordered pizza, kebab, burger and ribs online for collection tonight. The food was ready for collection on time, was hot and tasted great. The portions were big too. Even my very fussy 13 year old cleared her plate! Would definitely recommend

Up here on holiday and just had a doner kebab with chilli sauce absolutely gorgeous the meat was just unbelievable 10/10 for the meat

Had some amazing pizza from Mr. T’s! Used the online ordering, which worked with US phone number, which made it easy. Was pleasantly surprised by how good the pizza was!

Not impressed ordered as a treat and the bag and all containers were covered in grease. It was the most disgraceful takeaway we have had from there and wont order again. There is about 10 chips in the portion and mixed kebab is not worth the money at all. Had to dispose of most of it.Just to add now have a upset stomache with what I did eat.

Really poor Doner meat, so thinly sliced it was hard to even taste the meat. Chicken kebab was very dry and over cooked, the 'chilli sauce' was more like an oily salad dressing. Good job we had a nice bag of chips from across the road. Very disappointed

I am on holiday for a week and I can safely say that Mr Ts has fed me and my wife Happily for 3 of our 7 days!! The food is good quality, really affordable, quick service and the staff are lovely. We will be coming back soon I can guarantee!

Excellent food pizzas and kebab top best on the island

Order cheese burger and onion rings and sausage and chips kids meal, the cheese burger had a stale bun had no sauce, or salads, onion rings we disgusting, worse than supermarket quality. Would even give it a star if I could, it was fowl

Absolutely delicious pizza, with the softest, pillow like crust! Probably one of the best pizzas I've had. We'll definitely be back for more!

This place is island wide famous for a reason ! Their food is both high quality in ingredients and creation ! what ever you order it WILL be fantastic and you WILL return ! Their signiture dish, the "belly buster" is FANTASTIC and addictive ! steak that rivals and in most cases beats all sit in resturants ! Staff are friendly, helpfull and efficient ! If you havent tried them out yet, then you MUST ! your missing out !

This place is a take away but not just a take away had the megabite 8oz ribeye steak cooked medium rare and that's the we got not all take aways do steak but you know this one does for under 12 pounds absolute bargain if your near Shanklin well worth a visit all ways go at least once when on the iow

Absolutely brilliant takeaway got caught short on food indoors orderd x2 burgers and chips and onion rings and breaded mushrooms delivery took a while but Omg it was worth the wait absolutely fantastic food and a great price ill be deffinatly using again when we are on holiday next time they are the tastiest takeaway burger I have ever had thanks Mr ts

Fast fresh cooked chips burgers and pizza. Properly made. Clean standards and helpful staff. Car park at side/ rear and they also do home deliveries. No photos as food was eaten too quick! Was thoroughly enjoyed. Daughter had thin crust veg pizza with jalapeño on. She enjoyed it and hubby enjoyed his burger said it was really good.

Our first time ordering and the pizzas ans service were very good. Very Friendly lady who took our order over the phone. The Pizzas were delivered with a smile by a friendly man and the Pizzas were both excellent in taste and value in the Tuesday deal. We will certainly be ordering again.

Burger was insanely good however the southern fried chicken and chips were rather disappointing... delivery was very covid safe and the gentleman on the phone was helpful and polite when ordering for the first time.

Ordered at 5.45 took 1hr and 45mins to be delivered, when it did finally arrive it was cold and the pizza looked like my 10yr old made it! Don’t think I’ll be using them again anytime soon!

Extremely disappointing half the order was missing, what did arrive was only warm (thank god for the microwave) we had waited an hour and a half for the order which we were told would be delivered within the hour. Will think long and hard before ordering from here again.

OMG... Mr Ts saved the day!! Staying at Brunswick Hotel and needed food.. Only place really open and delivering for free. Their stone baked stuffed crust pepperoni pizza.. Omg!! Wolverhampton needs one! Want to take them home with us! Prompt delivery and delicious!!

Hit or miss, if they can be bothered to deliver or not, even though it clearly states they deliver to your particular area. Nice food, extremely unreliable

Arrived at our caravan and were recommended Mr Ts for Pizza. Easily ordered on line and were told as it was busy we would have a long wait. Not a problem. The wait went a little over the initial quoted time and we were quite worried when the website said that the place had closed. Phoned them up and were dealt with by a very lovely guy who apologised but that they had been very busy and our pizza was on its way. Sure enough we hade a phone call in minutes from the delivery man from the park car park with our pizzas. And boy were they worth the wait! My 9” Mr T special was arguably up there with some of the best pizza I have had in New York and it was very generously loaded with toppings. I think we will be finding an excuse for pizza again during our week here. Highly recommend and great customer service.

I have just been to Mr Ts and ordered x2 mixed large kebabs and a large portion of chips. Unfortunately this will be the last time I now go as the kebabs were pretty small and not good value for money. The chips came in a foil bag that wasn't very big either. Cost was just shy of £17.00 It's such a Shame as we loved coming here before. We drive from Ryde as we remembered it to be very good so it's sad to say that their standards have slipped.
